now more than ever, I am fearing for my life....

here I thought that after COVID made its mark, I will be fine and will certainly go back to normal, everything will bounce back to where it was..... but it didn't.

….. it all started with Joey, then Noliza, then Diamond, then Alvin, then Fanty and quite recently Percy...

nothing stayed the same, nothing fade away, nothing you can do about it.

sometimes in the middle of the night, you will just jolt, sit cross-legged and stare into nothingness, overthinking what will be next? what will be after the next?

….. and now at 3AM, asking myself a different question- when will be mine? when am I due?

I am 40! That's a fact... undeniably visible with my gut!

Not wanting a 6-feet-under meme any moment now has been likely one of the goals lately. I need to stay alive and active that's including food shoved into my orifice these days!

I have seen how fat dripped with my own two eyes! And YES YES and definitely YES, taste is altered. It doesn't taste the same as it was but an additional lifespan of 2 or 3 years is not bad either.

If you are like me who have enjoys food more than breakfast-lunch-dinner setting, savors food more than sweet, salty and spicy and always gets transported to every circa to every bite... then it would be a huge zeal as again, taste is altered!

What is Pork Adobo without the fat trimmings seared to golden perfection and braised for 1hour and melts in your mouth at every piquancy.

The horror!

The dryness of it all!

Yet again, it depends what you really value most. So you might want to think again! Is the price of a kitchen upgrade really fitting your lifestyle? Then its a sign to get yourself a treat!

At the end of the day, what matters most is the value that it caters most. Beyond price..... beyond need.

A “good” checklist of what you can do as you age and mature. Treat it as a guideline. Mack me if nothin’ happens but I assure you will.

Success may be classified, measured and evaluated. But for each individual, it may vary from time to time and if quality strikes, that may be one of the learning curves you can goal and achieve later in life.

1. Support yourself. (read: Mandatory for queer.)

· Why? Establishing yourself other than being the cloned-parlorista-type is a must. Aside from that being an achievement it also marks the spot how well you were raised, what breeding you have and gauges how you’ve grown and matured.

2. Get your own place.

· Lease-to-Own or Rent-to-Own would be more advisable rather than renting your butt month per month. Lucky for you if you have been given a hand-me-down 2-storey-haven that you can call your own so you don’t have to worry a bit or bytes even.

3. Date the wrong person(s).

· A must. I have come to believe that a relationship is a 2-phase. The booty-call facet and the next is the i-am-seriously-committing-already phase.

· 4. Begin to put money in the bank and learn to leave it there.

5. Get out of debt.

6. Clearly outline your life goals.

7. Learn to read regularly.

8. Learn to keep up to date with current events.

9. Get that body you always dreamed of.

10. Find work that you love doing.

11. Surround yourself with people that you would like to keep around.

12. Reestablish your connection with your family.

13. Outline your perfect partner.

14. Learn to adapt.

15. Start to accumulate a fortune.

16. Learn to dress well.

17. Learn to maintain your body.

18. Learn to maintain and keep your environment organized.

19. Accept that you are an adult.

20. Let go of the past and look forward to the future.

Literally!

I mean undeviating- everyone is a vlogger these days!

I am not quite certain if I am the only one in the "B" now instead of the "V". I started putting my thoughts into words way back 2004 because of Dulce, it was with a different site then. Began doing blogspot.com in 2008 and stopped for an I-don't-know reason why.

A pandemic broke out and I didn't even drop a single rumination about it! Pisti! Just when everything was in the moment- I deserted like that! I became a blogger-has-been. Everybody was busy staying alive, myself included. May kuwentong COVID ka din ba?

Fast forward 2022 and for another I-don't-know reason why. I am back as a fresh tilapia can be.

So what to expect? A lot of this and a lot of attitude and sass, my lass! A call to action for you my dear, stay tuned and subscribe!

It happened on a Friday morning 6am to be exact. I was supposed to meet a booty call and it turned out not-that-great. A regular kid with nothing to do. He was a bum. He was just there for the free stuff. As socially active as I am....

as drunkard as I am, we resorted to a drinking-spree instead. As I mentioned he was a kid and I am no minor-savoring-prick. We had a couple of laughs and a bucketful of drinks. I invited a friend over and the socialization began. Tipsy, horny and flirty as my nature calls me- the next table kept on ogling and was sending mixed signals. Flirt as I maybe, I let my friend do the talking. The outcome was painstakingly easy.

We had them at hello. Five of them actually. Invited them for a couple of bottles more. The kid I was to chew? I ditched him all the way. He was of no profit anyways. So cutting the story quick: 3 out of 5 was dead on arrival, and the 2 kept hangin' on.

One of which was a family man: wife, 2 kids, a good family and a very promising career with a leading sabaw Telecom in the country. A Network Engineer by profession. Young, tall and dark.

Straight. Sabi niya.
He is clear and certain of that.

Blame it on the social lubricant. All became blurry.
Everything became a WAS.

We made out.
I kissed him hard. He kissed me back.
Callously. Marring my lips. Everything didn't matter anymore. I was transfixed. Half of me wanna ask but half of me hushed me with lust and desire.
Drowned, dazed but not utterly confused.
Reality came back to me.I got caught in between. Confusion or not.

I am from a shattered menage and it wasn't a cher sight.
I left.

Never thinking, never pondering just expecting repercussions.

I have transfixed a certain notion that straights have their own agenda and queers have theirs too.

Right! Tags are inevitable and a fact is strong, labels are gonna be labels nothing more nothing else. But a cross-over? I guess yes. More or less a facade. What your mouth blabs does not necessarily coincides what your heart utters. So I left the bar. I walked the alley swerving. I had a couple of drinks.... okay fine I had several bottles and shots of Patron. Then I remembered, am hungry, I better take this street to get to my fave Tapsi house. And left turn I did.

On my right was a guy fumbling his fly. I passed right by. A faint pssssst came. I turned and he was at my back.

Fly Guy: Hey you!
Me: Do I know you?
Fly Guy: Nope! You alone?
Me: I don't see one with me!
Fly Guy: hehehe! You're funny! Stay!
Me: still having doubts but said..... Sure!

He fumbled for my fly, knelt and went right through me. And I moaned! Damn he was good! I am but drunk what would you like me to do? Fight my way out and scream? In reality that usually gets drowned. Senses out of the question!

Then a couple passed by wearing Baseball cap and Fedora hat- that's what all I remember. Flirty and intoxicated as I am, I invited them. They said, Yes and just like your regular badminton game, we did doubles! And then we switched partners!

Baseball Boy came fast so he left after. Fedora Dude stayed. Fly Guy was doing Fedora Dude as I was fixing myself up to leave.

Fedora Dude held my hand and said, "Are you going? Don't!" I didn't and he went down on me fast as I could even grasp my breath! Then Fly Guy left.

I closed my eyes. Head spinning and still nauseous from the Patron. I felt somebody was kissing me. Ayayay! Am already dreaming! Too early for that! Then I felt a light tug on my lips. I blinked. Another visage was infront of me. Chinese eyes staring back! Yet Fedora Dude was still on my shaft. Whew! This is not so happening! Am I to choose? Not me!

After the closing of the Malate haven, it has now transferred to the Greenfield District.

Remember Brian, Justin, Michael, Emmett and Ted of Queer as Folk? Yes, the series by Cowlip Productions was such a big hit that it took the LGBT community by storm. It was very nostalgic as well as eerie seeing Bed in the very light that Babylon was projected.

I got there around 11-ish and there were a couple of souls already, early birds I guess. One thing was new or that I haven’t been to Bed for the longest time eva’ that’s why I missed the point: girls as attendants. Traditionally there shouldn’t be any. But who am I to judge ayt?

Door entrance was still very promising with consumables. Yet the one thing I miss about Bed is the Bullfrog cocktail. Walang makagaya kasi! I got one, drenched my thirst and walked away. The bar was almost full by 2am and I need to make Cinderella’s famous exit and went somewhere else (wink*wink)

I so love the sunflower oil! Its sooooo different!

Before- I lavished on Pond's cream after cleansing and toning. Cosmo Magazine said, its a must to change our moisturizer every after 3-4 months so your face won't stick to one specific brand and get used to it.

So I tried Olay Total Effects and YES, the effects were a TOTAL, not to mention its together with your pocket too- I squirmed to say the least. After three bottles and 1/2 plus a recommendation from a friend, I too, tried Myra E cream- liquid in most of its form, which is cheaper than the usual moisturizers in the market today yet very effective in its own way. Five months counted and as highly rated by another friend, I switched to using Sunflower Oil by Human Nature.

Its oil-based but its not hot nor warm on your face. Its even soothing once it touches your skin. No sting, no redness, not even sticky or icky and just feels like a regular cream once lathed on your visage.

Fine lines and wrinkles are already inevitable once you reach your 30's. Added to that are the darkening of your eye circles. Not a pretty sight right? I am in my peak already and caring for my face is one of my vanities. This is THE money-maker if I may say so. As I do believe its better to age and mature without showing it on your face. As with the lifestyle am envoying: such problems are ineludible. Plus the gravey shifts and alternating sleeping patterns is not a help either.

It promises to lighten dark spots and pimple marks, diminish stretch marks, moisturize hair ends and soothe skin damaged by sunburn- that I have to experience but right now I don't have dark marks under my eye circles and my knees, elbows and hands are supple and soft. That's a guarantee.
