1. The special effects were amazing
2. We had a very good dance tutor (Mr Eddy and Ms Wendy) that can teach us how to dance in like only 20 minutes.
3. The WO they have a very big heart and patience to handle a large crowd (guests and family) that sometimes can be very 'cruel' (hehehe..)
We're very satisfied with Party Purrfect, and we will be a happy family because we had a great start thanks to Party Purrfect. Party Purrfect is excellent (this word also comes from our parents). So thank you very much..
You know what, all of our friends are extremely surprised because we have no "worry face" 3 days before D day and on the D day. Because we know we're ready and we have all the preparations that were done and we knew all things that were there or weren't, and we know that you guys will handle everything on the D day. So what else we need to worry. That's what our friends from the 'high level' WO told us, the difference between you guys and the other WOs. That Party purrfect won't let us worry about ANYTHING on the D day, and you guys proved it. So thanks guys, really.

Sorry for the late reply. After the wedding at Bogor finished we went to Jogja to have another party for celebrating our wedding. Our holiday in Indo was quite hectic but thank God everything went so smooth. Also thank you to all of you the Party Purrfect crews.. because of you guys we had a great and wonderful wedding reception ^^

Here's some feedback from us:
Thanks to Eddy and all the crews from Party Purrfect..! We received a lot of compliments from the guests. The flow of the acara from the beginning till the end were very entertaining! Everyone was very happy on the day. Especially for us the groom and the bride, we don't have to worry about anything on the day because the crews from Party Purrfect did everything for us. They are very friendly and guided us in every single thing we need to do to get a perfect wedding party! They are also very communicative so that we can have the party that we have dream of. We love the special effects especially the rose petals, heart shaped confetti and also balloon droops! We also can't believe when Eddy went to the dance floor and helped the guests to enjoy the dance hehehe... He would do anything the make our party become a perfect weeding party! it was very memorable!
Of course, there is some minor area that could be improved such as having more chairs in the ballroom for the guests, to make it better. But overall, we are really grateful to have Party Purrfect as our WO. Without all of you, our wedding reception won't be as successful as we had..!!

2. saya diberi masukkan yang amat sangat berarti mengenai vendor dekorasi, sehingga saya bisa mencari yang baru dan pada saat hari H dekorasi sangat indah dan bagus. thanks a lot buat info nya..
3. WO sangat membantu sekali, dan banyak mengambil keputusan2 penting di hari H, saya amat puas dengan keputusan yang mereka buat, dan WO sangat membantu baik untuk hal yang amat kecil, seperti pegangan hand bouquet yang licin, sepatu pengantin wanita yang selalu tersangkut gaunnya.. semuanya dibantu sampai selesai. bahkan diajarkan untuk dance..
4. untuk entertainment, suara wendy sangat amat bagus, apalagi pada saat menyanyikan close to u pada saat awal masuk.. what a wonderful voice..
5. Suara MC nya jelas dan membuat suasana menjadi lebih cair dan tidak tegang.. thanks

We were really glad to be recommended to Party Purrfect Wendy & Eddy. They are first class in every aspect. They travel down to singapore(even before we confirm them as our WO) to meet up with myself and my wife to be and parents who happen to drop by from australia. We were so happy with the arrangements that they have made for us in our Australia wedding and engage them again during our wedding lunch reception in Singapore 4 Season. Just want to expressed our deepest gratitude for the surprise wedding slideshow, the special effects and all the preparartion, coordination of everything to make our wedding a very memorable. Kita adlh pasangan yg udah married tgl 20 di Caspia. WO kita hire adlh PP. Dan kita sangat paus dgn segala yg telah mrk persiapkan dan lakukan buat kita hingga akhirnya wedding kita berjalan dgn sangat baik semuanya. Pas Hari H, PP berkali-kali mengambil keputusan dan tindakan yg bener2 membuat kita tenang sepanjang hari. Tapi rupanya pas hari h tukang kue nya datang dgn pisau dapur yg kechil dan kue utk suapan penuh dgn krim, PPyg udah standby di venue sejak jam 2 langsung menelpon kita yg pada saat itu lagi retouch di sophia. Kita panik banget tapi dgn tenang Eddy(bos PP) memberikan solusi dan mengatasi semua nya dgn baik. Tukang kue diminita mencari pisau yg lebih besar dan mengganti kue nya dgn lapis surabaya. PP juga menambahkan satu org crew khusus untuk jagain kue, tanpa extra charge kita. Perlu kita tambahkan, PP adlh WO yg sangat super duper detail dgn semua pekerjaan dan tanggung jawab mrk. Sampai hal terkechil seperti tidak penting, tapi supir yg sempat diberikan makanan oleh PP sempat mengucapakan terimakasih kepada kita pas kita masuk mobil setelah selesai misa di gereja. dalam hati, kita juga udah lupa ma si supir yg belum makan siang. PP juga memeriksa dekor dgn baik. Semua yg kita instruksikan tentang dekor kita mrk periksa dgn baik, mulai dari warna kain di dinding, di ceiling....Mrk juga nyiapin semua hadiah untuk lempar bunga, dan hadiah2 lain nya. Acara juga berlangsung dgn baik. Special effect nya ok banget dan sangat berkesan buat kita dan juga para tamu yg hadir. Kita sharing semua itu diatas karna kita ingin sekali berterima kasih ke PP yg telah membuat pesta yg sekali seumur hidup ini menjadi begitu sempurna.

I decided to use party purfect as my entertainment n confetti.
And i didn`t regret my choice, they were professional in everything they do. They provided my wedding with quality singer Miss Wendy from Singapore.She made my wedding look classy n timeless ,
n she welcomed the guests who wanted to sang with her.

Hi, aku mau sharing-sharing nie.. aku baru meried tgl 15 sept 07 kemaren..untuk special effect, Mc, Wo, Ballroom dance dari party purrfect semua.. soalnya bulan maret 07, kakakku juga pake mereka. pihak keluarga & tamu2 semuanya puas dengan hasil kerja mereka.soalnya mereka perhatiin detail buangetttt..
makanya aku mutusin pake mereka lagi untuk weddingku. dan hasilnya memang luar biasa!!!aku bener2 puas dengan service mereka dr sebelum acara, khususnya WO. mereka bantu aku seleksi vendor2 dr kartu undangan, dekorasi, handbouquet,dll. apalagi mereka punya relasi yg baik dengan vendor2 itu, jd aku dapet discount khusus.. (seneng dech..) pas pada hari H nya, aku surprise.. paket yg aku ambil exclude Screen LCD, tp mereka sediain buat aku loch..tanpa bilang2 sama aku. untuk konsep acaranya pun mereka TOP, special effectnya apa lagi, meriahhhhh bbbuaangggettt. Balroom dance nya di tariin sama Edy&Wendy nya langsung.so far aku bener2 puas dengan kerja mereka.

Wedding di Mercure Ancol. Really have to thank you Mr Eddy, he assist us to shift our location from outdoor to indoor 2 days before wedding, because raining heavily few days before our wedding. Have to redo all the acara and coordination with the vendors. Fantastic job done. We are a little stress up initially but we are confident of the professionalism of our WO. They did a fantastic job to provide backup plan for our church ceremony, facing the seaview in the outdoor location. Many programs were inserted to spice up our party too, teaching us and our parents the wedding dance, plan the interesting games, sponsor prizes and making sure everything runs well. We all love the voice of Ms Wendy and the effects too. Would not know what would have happen without them. 2 thumbs up to Party Purrfect.

thanks party purrfect for the good work in our wedding at Balai Kartini 11/11/07. Very very good recommendation of vendors to us and all the preparation is good. Thank you eddy and wendy coming all the way to depot for our morning acara.... its so nice no additional charge even when it is so far from jakarta. We are very happy with the team and the floor manager Karen. They did the best possible even when the morning acara left the venue only at 3pm. Impressed with your efficiency..did not expect 3000+ ppl to be around and am impressed with the handling of the food and crowd. We took the WO hari H, mini chamber, multimedia lcd projector and plasma, special effects. thank you very much and will sure recommend to our friends. GBU ciao!

How Party Purrfect comes about?

Way back in 1992, the founder of Party Purrfect started out his humble beginnings organizing & coordinating exhibitions, seminars & trainings for his employer, Matsushita Singapore. He was sent to various countries for training including USA, Japan, Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. All the professional training he received equipped him with the technical knowledge of incorporating large screen multimedia presentations, digital sound systems and stage lightings into the events he organized for Matsushita.

At the same time, the founder was also an avid dancer. He had a passion for all genres of dance including break dancing, street dancing, hip hop, salsa. Whenever he had time, he would spent many months training under world class professional dance coaches and eventually became a competitive ballroom dancer. He traveled to London, Italy, Australia and South East Asia competing and learning.

In 2000, the founder was actively performing in wedding parties at Hotel Mulia and Gran Melia. Given his extensive and professional training in organizing big events, many customers requested that he consider setting up an Event Organizer & Entertainment company in Jakarta. And as they say, the rest was history.

The name “Party Purrfect” was adopted for a few reasons. The founder wanted every wedding or event to be a memorable party where the guests and host enjoy together. And being Singaporean, his kiasu attitude made him obsess over every little detail. So it was decided that the company would take on a Singapore slang to the word “perfect”, and thus it became “Purrfect”.

As soon as the company started in 2000, it was overwhelmed with events from the Singapore Embassy(National Day Celebrations), 80th Birthday party for Ex Astra Group Chairman, TV Station events, and bridal exhibitions. It worked with many vendors to provide a one stop service for event and wedding customers. Many of its corporate clients and wedding customers commended on the punctuality and reliability of its services and the high quality of its products.

Throughout the next few years, Party Purrfect continued to expand. In 2002, it decided that it could be self-sufficient in other areas and so it purchased its own dance floor, digital sound systems, plasma screens, LCD projectors and stage lightings. It was also then that it acquired sole distributorship from Flutter Fetti, SEI & ALA for special effects, quality products which have been awarded a total of 14 USA patents.

By owning its own equipments, Party Purrfect had complete control on its quality and efficiency. It could also pass on the savings in transportation and labour back to its customers when they purchase all-inclusive packages.

Today, Party Purrfect has offices & representatives in Singapore, Indonesia & Malaysia. In Indonesia, it has 3 different divisions managed by full time staff. Its Event and Wedding Organizer Division is headed by Singapore Team Executive & Managing Director (Eddy), MC and Entertainment Division is headed by Singapore Team Managing Director (Wendy) and Special Effects & Rental Division is headed by General Manager (Karen). It strives to be a company that provides professional, efficient & systematic event planning and treats every event or wedding like its own.

Its team of event consultants is professionally trained locally and in Singapore. It prides itself as being the specialist in cross border events and weddings in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. Party Purrfect provides a good mix of musicians and singers locally & from Singapore. This division is headed by Managing Director Wendy, a professional singer and event organizer originally from Singapore. Wendy started singing at a tender age of 3, and started joining and winning national singing competitions from the age of 7. Wendy also provides coaching for would be singers and wedding couples who are interested to sing on their big day.

Wendy, together with our Executive & Managing Director Eddy, provide MC services on request, as both are fluent in Mandarin, English, Hokkien and Cantonese. Our other in-house Indonesian MCs, musicians and singers go through a stringent audition process before they are signed up as performers. Party Purrfect has a wide selection of more than 10 Indonesian MCs and singers to cater to different styles required by clients. Party Purrfect also works with other celebrity MCs through their agents. Some of these include Helmi Yahya, Tantowi Yahya, Dave Hendrik, Reza Bukan and Farid Aja, Dewi and Mario to name a few.

Party Purrfect’s value added entertainment team assists wedding couples on their song selection for different moments. Wendy and Eddy’s ability to speak multiple languages provides an added advantage to ensure that the songs selected for the wedding day are of good meaning.

Apart from being an outstanding singer, Eddy & Wendy are also avid dancers having been requested to perform in many wedding events and bridal exhibitions (King Foto, JJ Bride, Felice Jewelry, Weddingku JWF and Jakarta Wedding Expo). Very often, they choreograph wedding dance for wedding couples too. They were also part of the steering committee involved in organizing the largest international ballroom dance competition in Indonesia “The Nuvo International Dancesport Competition” in Hotel Mulia and the subsequent Indonesian Dancesport ranking competition for SEA Games in Hotel Sahid Jaya.

Party Purrfect technical support consultants are trained in all the technical knowledge associated with the important background systems that is the backbone for any successful event. For example, many companies do not know exactly how many watts of sound system is required for a given sized hall, or what is a suitable sized LCD screen to be used. Unusual Trend in wedding industry is bad for future customers

Lately, a trend has emerged where decorators, venue/catering and even some hotels are offering wedding organizer services in their packages. While certain vendors may compliment wedding organizer (WO) services, conflict of interest arises when the WO is also a major vendor like venue/catering or decorator.

Why? Firstly, the WO should be a neutral party because it has a duty to assist the pengantin in sourcing for the best vendors and to conduct quality control checking on the vendors’ product and services on Hari H. The WO, in a position of conflict, may not be able to be fully objective & this may result in compromising the quality of the vendors. In order to please everybody, the WO may have to open one eye and keep the other one closed, so to speak.

While some pengantin may be enticed into getting a whole package from venues or catering that includes WO services in their package, we highly recommend that they do not do so for the above reasons. The WO owes a duty to the pengantin & the pengantin alone.

An analogy for this type of package is akin to investing in a toothless tiger to guard your property and assets.

Being the pioneer in the industry, it saddens us to see that special effects have been abused/overused by too many WOs & Entertainment companies and even MC in Indonesia.

Special effects was originally used in the movie industry to create different effects required for a scene such as explosion, snow, misty fog, cloudy dry ice and ambient lighting to suit the theme. Many special effects software has since taken over many effects required to be created by these specialist.

Special effects have become an increasingly important service used in many weddings to create the desired wedding theme. Unfortunately, many vendors have started to offer inferior quality free as part of their MC or WO or venue or deco services, just for the sake of enticing couples to book their services. They lack the knowledge & idea on how to choreograph the best effects for the wedding couples.

Party Purrfect hopes to educate couples who plan to use special effects in their wedding to consider the following before you part with your money. So here are some of the ways you can checkout your confetti vendor to make sure that you are getting the best for your wedding:

"Where do you get your confetti from"?
We believe that the best way is to ask the vendor the origin of their effects. If the company has done many big TV station events, the quality should be reliable. Many vendors here claim that their products are from US or Australia or Canada without being able to provide any official appointment letter or supporting documents. Ask to see their distributorship letter and verify it by checking with their principal website if they are featured as a distributor/partner. "Are any patents awarded for your effects"?

So what does having "patents" mean? Patented effects means it is a unique product & the company that produces it has a legal right to produce the products & others are not allowed to copy it without their permisson. Patented products will thus ensure that the effects are of the highest quality. You can easily check if the product is patented by asking the vendor to show you the patent number which is found on the confetti container or launcher. Patented confetti are also flame retardant(which is important for wedding parties where sometimes guests smoke & decorations may include the use of candles & light bulbs). Some Additonal Pointers:
Ask your confetti vendor if you are able to select the shape, colour & size to match your party theme & decoration. You should also check with your confetti vendors if the confetti & streamers are loaded fully into the launchers. Some vendors load only half the confetti & streamers and maximize their profit by reducing 10% of the price. The next time you order, just take a look at the fillings in the launchers to find out. Should We Book An All Inclusive Package From A Vendor?

This is a million dollar question asked by many couples. We would advise as follow:

Before booking a package or any service or product from any vendor, you should first understand the background of the company that you are booking from.

There are companies who package what is the best selling package. Afterwhich, they will subcontract it to variouos different vendors. They make a certain amount of money from each subvendor they work with. Maybe some may feel that the packaged price is good because there are so many products/services included but since the products or services are being subcontracted out, the subvendor will try to give the least possible since their margins are low. Couples who book this type of packages tend to lose more than gain.

On the other hand, there are companies who actually own the equipments & execute the services personally . For instance, Party Purrfect has a few divisions: Eddy(WO and trained MC, professional dancer and Managing Director) heads the WO team directly with regular team members to provide direct services to his WO customers. Wendy(In house MC & singer, professional dancer and Managing Partner) heads the entertainment division & decides the type of mics, speakers, songs and musicians and which assistant MC to work with to match the requirements of the customers. Karen & Iin (WO & Shareholder) takes care of special effects and rental service required like rental of LCD screens, plasma, sound systems, confetti, pyrotechnic, dry ice and stage lighting, dance floor and dancers. We are able to control the quality of the WO, entertainment special effects and equipments. By putting our services in a package, we can pass on the savings in transportation and labour back to our customers. In this case, getting the service as a package benefits both the customer and the vendor.

However, some dishonest vendors may claim that they own their own equipments even if they do not. Therefore, we advise couples to ask more in-depth questions on all the services provided by that vendor. If the vendor is willing & able show you the hardware & explain in technical detail how the various services work together, you can rest assured that the vendor is professional & honest. You may also visit their office, checkout their website or ask to view their track records.

Some packages from venue include deco, entertainment, catering, video/photo & cake etc. Most of the time their partners are shortlisted by paying a fee, which is of no value to you. This is because any vendor, even if they have low standards, may be a partner in their package, as long as they pay the stipulated "fee". So caveat emptor (buyer beware)!

You should also beware of some WO packges which include MC & entertainment but do not have their own entertainment team. The WO will subcontract the entertainment to other companies. The scariest thing is that there is no way you will know who the entertainment company is who will perform at your wedding. Would you put the most important day of your life in the hands of an entertainment company you might never meet or hear of? What more, there is no way you or even the WO will know or be able to monitor the standard of the entertainment.

You should also be suspicious of packages offered by MCs which include WO & special effects. Do check what type of special effects are used. Make sure that they do not give you "made in china" effects which cannot activate most of the time. Check also if the WO team the MC provides are in-house or not & whether the team members have had proper training & system.

Nowadays, many video or photo companies package screens and plasmas into a package with photo & video for Hari H but have no knowledge of how multi visual works. They may not be aware what size of screens suit which venue & may not know the right kind of projector to be used for which location.

If you have a wedding organizer who not only understands how to organize your wedding but also has a strong technical knowledge on the lighting to be used, the sound system(how it is calculated for a certan location, using a 12" 15" or 18"), the size of screens, the type of projectors required, what kind of signal for the video, understands the different format that can give the best quality for the photo & video and the interlinking of the various hardware together to give you a seamless quality of video display.

Restrictions impose by venue/hotel

Venue is probably one of the first things that a couple books before any other vendor. This could be a dangerous move and here is what we think should be done or avoided.

1) The venue that you book is subjected to the number of guests that you plan to invite, the quality of the food, the ambience of the place to fit your theme, the service of the venue and most importantly, does it fit your budget.

2) Always book the place that is about 20-30% bigger than your initial expected capacity, so as to cater to any increase of invitations when the date gets nearer.

3) Before booking a venue, couples should attend 1-2 events in the same venue to assess the service of staff and the quality of food.

4) Also, couples should try to make sure there are no morning or afternnon event in the same venue on the same day, as this will restrict the time for setup, which means the decoration has to be simpler, all vendors will have to rush their time which might result in less than ideal finishing.

5) Couples should ask the venue to state clearly at the outset any restrictions imposed by the venues. Some venues do not allow outside food or catering, deco, entertainment, video photo and other vendors who are not in their partner list. This restriction could be a pro or a con. It depends on the venue's criteria for the selection of their partners. Most of them include vendors that pay a fee, which means that there is of zero value to couples. However, there is some value if the venue shortlists based on the quality & professionalism of the vendors.
Couples should try to negotiate with the venue to have the restrictions lifted whenever possible. But based on our extensive experience, most venues who keep a list of "approved" vendors are not flexible & most of the time, the couples have been told to "take it or leave it". Couples have to decide for themselves if this is a venue in which they still wish to have their reception in. Some venues also have a time restriction for the total number of hours that it can be used for.

Many couples go to exhibition and start to talk to vendors and book the various services when they feel that the deal is good. Afterwhich, they decided that they want to free themselves from the hassle on D day and engage a WO for the full day or reception only.

This is one of the greatest mistakes that the couples are making and i feel really bad everytime the couple book my services and said that they are not too sure what they have actually book. Many of them who visited exhibitions, are offered various packages and most of it do not necessary fit them, which result in topping up their budgets for things that they have not thought of or having overlapping services provided by 2 vendors.

Party Purrfect strongly advocate that the couple should sit down together to work on a budget. The rough budget can be estimated by building up base on quotations from vendors or determine how much they would like to spend or how much they could afford, before they start their sourcing.

After that, they should source for a really professional and reliable WO to assist them.
