I donno why i am writing this post. May be because i am a little afraid that some one might visit my blog, after i told that career guidance guy that i'm into blogging ,and find out that i haven't written anything since last august .
By the way,we were shown a movie today at school- Invictus .Wiki says that its a movie based on the book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Changed a Nation by John Carlin . I'd love to read that book.
The film shows how sports can unite a nation and thats one of the reasons why i envy south africa as a nation. We , even after 60 years since independence are still facing hindu-muslim problems .
What we are lacking is a leader like Mandela.
Like Morgan said in the movie,we should learn to forgive.It liberates the soul .It remove fear and thats why its such a powerful weapon.
Gandhi understood this . But our present day leaders are busy taking political advantages from our problems. We need new leaders . We need a change . We aren't even closer to the nation which Gandhi and Nehru and Subhash Chandra Bose dreamt of . And we should be the change that we want to see in our Nation.
If the rainbow nation did it,we too can do it. Time have changed , we also have to change,before its too late..
By the way,i am back home for vacations. I have completed a year in hostel which i thought i'd never do at the start of the year :D .

I know,not even the stadiums are ready..
But yet,isn't it the time for us to stand together??
Should we make the world say that we are a corrupt nation??
Should we make the world say that we are not capable of anything??
I think that we have much to learn from the South Africans.From the way they hosted the FIFA 2010 World cup.

Our govt made many mistakes,I agree.
And now we know our mistakes.
But we don't have much time left.

So instead of seeing the negative of everything,can't we try to be a bit positive?
Can't we try to be optimistic?
Instead of finding fault in everything,can't we stand as a nation??

NOW its time to ACT.
ACT,so that we keep the pride and dignity of INDIA.
ACT,so that we can show the world,that WE CAN..

Hostel life rocks!

Yeah,hostel life really rocks.2 or 3 weeks ago I wouldn't have said so.Thats because its the way human mind works.
When I was transplanted to hostel,the first 2 weeks I couldn't adjust.Or may be i(my mind) was not ready to adjust.To stay away from your home,without mobile or computer or internet or such things,its not that easy.So my mind started making me believe that i cant stay at hostel. It(my mind) found many reasons like,i wont be able to study, to escape from there.
But things have changed.
Now I started loving hostel life.
This is my ideology now:

"You cant stay with your parents for ever.One day you'l have to live on your own.So to face more problems in life,the experience I gain from hostel will help me a lot.After all life is not a bed of roses"

My room mate at hostel is a Ladakhi.His name is Ishfaq. There are 6 others ,who are from Ladakh,in the boys hostel.
Well,Ishfaq is a cool guy.Good at football,tennis etc etc.
Yesterday we all saw the Brazil-Netherlands match fulltime.It was for the first time,we were allowed to see a match fulltime. It was real fun.If you see a match,you should see it like that.In a big hall,with everyone..

Waking up at 5 ,cursing the warden,who rings the bell as if to rise everyone in Kannur..,going for the morning tea, walking but still asleep..,waiting for water to come wearing a towel..,the prayer in the morning and evening..,walking to school with all other hostlers..,telling teachers that "Ma'am i'm at hostel,so couldnt buy the record or stitch the badge"..,skipping the lunch to walk around with your friends..,spending time at the library..,the evening play..,sleeping in the study time..,having world war 3 with mosquitoes..,laughing your heart out at the jokes of your friends..
Altogether hostel life ROCKS!

A journey to the wilderness..

Yesterday I and my 5 friends(Aswin,Sarath,Vyshakh,Krepalu and Sreenath) went for trekking in the poonkottumkavu(thats the best spelling i can find for it).
We started walking from mattanur at 2.10 after having our lunch from Mattanur Mahadeva Temple.We thought we might reach by 15 or 20 minutes but actually it took about 1 hour 15 minutes to reach there.
We were really exhausted when we reached there.
But the place was really really really wonderful.
Full of trees.Just trees and trees and trees .More and more of them.
Its wonderful to be in such a place with your friends.No parents,no teachers,no elders to say NO.
You can jump,shout,fight,cry or do anything you like.Just your friends and the trees to watch you.
It was fun.Real fun.The fun,you get only in your childhood.

To be in a forest is a great thing.No factories,no smoke,no vehicles,no hornes,no so called man made machines(except our mobiles).
The silence -its the most beautiful aspect of a forest.

The butterflies,spiders,snakes,fishes(thats all what we could find there)in their natural habitat and the greenery all around...
There was a hill there.We started climbing up.We felt like a group trying to conquer the Mount Everest.We fell in swamps,we were covered by mud,but we didnt give up.

The climb down was more fun.While climbing up,gravity was against us.But while climbing down,there was no force obstructing our free fall..

It was an experience of a life time.An unforgettable journey to the wilderness..

ദേണ്ടെ വീണ്ടും ഹര്‍ത്താല്‍ . ഇപ്രാവശ്യം വിലക്കയറ്റത്തിനെതിരെ ആണ് .ഇനി പേടിക്കേണ്ട . BMS ഹര്‍ത്താല്‍ നടത്തിയതുകൊണ്ട് ഇന്ന് 30 രൂപ ഉള്ള സവാളക്ക് നാളെ മുതല്‍ 10 രൂപ ആവും !

എല്ലാവരും പറയുന്നു കേരളത്തില്‍ വികസനം ഇല്ല എന്ന് . എങ്ങനെ വികസനം വരാനാണ് ? നാഴികയ്ക്ക് നാല്പതു വട്ടം ഹര്‍ത്താല്‍ അല്ലെ .

കണ്ണൂരിലെ കാര്യം പിന്നെ പറയുകയേ വേണ്ട . എപ്പോഴാ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരുത്തനെ തട്ടുക എന്ന് പറയാനാകില്ല . ഒരുത്തന്‍ ചത്താല്‍ പിന്നെ നാലഞ്ചു ദിവസത്തേക്ക് ദുഖാചരണം , പ്രതിഷേധദിനം എന്നീ കലാപരിപാടികള്‍ ആയിരിക്കും.
ഏതാണ്ട് ആറു മാസം മുമ്പ് , BJP യുടെ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി സംഘടന ABVP , ബംഗ്ലാദേശ് നുഴഞ്ഞു കയറ്റത്തിനെതിരെ ഒരു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ബന്ദ് നടത്തി .ഇന്നും എനിക്ക് ഈ ബംഗ്ലാദേശ് നുഴഞ്ഞു കയറ്റവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം മനസ്സിലായിട്ടില്ല .നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മനസ്സിലായെങ്കില്‍ എനിക്ക് പറഞ്ഞു തരണം .

അതിനെക്കാളും വലിയ ഒരു തമാശ ഉണ്ടായി . മാസങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പ് BJP അമര്‍നാഥ് പ്രശ്നത്തില്‍ ഒരു അഖിലേന്ത്യാ ബന്ദ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു . പക്ഷെ BJP ഭരിക്കുന്ന ഗുജറാത്തിലും കര്‍ണാടകത്തിലും പരാജയം ആയിരുന്നു ആ ബന്ദ് , BJP ക്ക് ഒരൊറ്റ MLA പോലും ഇല്ലാത്ത കേരളത്തില്‍ വന്‍ വിജയമായി .

ഇനിയിപ്പോ നാളെ ഞാന്‍ ഒരു ബന്ദ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചാലും അത് വന്‍ വിജയമാകും . സാക്ഷരതയില്‍ മുന്നിട്ടു നില്‍ക്കുന്ന കേരളത്തിന്‌ ഇപ്പൊ ഹര്‍ത്താല്‍ ഒരു ഉത്സവം ആണ് .
രണ്ടു കുപ്പിയും പിന്നെ കടിച്ചുപറിക്കാന്‍് കോഴിയും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ പിന്നെ കുശാലായി .

ഹര്‍ത്താലിന്റെ തലേ ദിവസം ബീവറേജ് ഷോപ്പിന്റെ മുന്നിലെ ക്യൂ ഒന്ന് കാണണം . ശബരിമലയില്‍ പോലും ഇല്ലാത്ത തിരക്കാണ് . ക്രിസ്മസ്സിനു 44 കോടിയുടെ മദ്യം കുടിച്ചു തീര്‍ത്ത മലയാളി ഇത് ചെയ്തില്ലെങ്കിലല്ലേ അത്ഭുതമുള്ളൂ !

ഒരു മലയാളി ആണെന്ന് പറയാന്‍ ഇന്ന് ഞാന്‍ ലജ്ജിക്കുന്നു . അല്ല ഇതിനും കാരണം നമ്മള്‍ തന്നെ ആണ് .ഏത് ഊച്ചാളി പാര്‍ട്ടി ഹര്‍ത്താല്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചാലും വീട്ടിലിരുന്നു ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ സ്വഭാവം എപ്പോ മാറുന്നുവോ , അന്നേ കേരളം നന്നാവൂ .

Tata Indicom as per the new 'Pay-Per-Call' plan has given the caller, right to talk for endless hours for 1 rupee.
It might seem great at the first sight. You can call your friend and talk for 1 or 2 hours for just 1 rupee.But you are taking 1 hour to say things which you earlier took 1 minute to say.And can the company give you the 59 minutes which you wasted?So don't fall in such traps.Time is more valuable than money.
Next time when you make a call,remember 'Time and tide waits for none'

In our lives,every living moment is a miracle,so unpredictable and full of surprise and amazement.The reality that we are born humans-that can think,not like the the other 'unthinking' creatures, is a miracle.The fact that I am writing this post(or may be I Wrote this post) in my blog,being hosted in nothingness(internet is virtual,na?)and still you are reading it, is a miracle.The fact that sun rises,birds chirp,flowers pollinate,we dream,everything are miracles

And the bigger miracle is that we are able to sense these miracles,unlike other living creatures.

But we don't usually use this ability.And so by we are missing out opportunities to create our own miracles.
Treat every moment as a surprise and receive it with amazement.Look for positive signs every moment.Accept the moment and celebrate its surprise with awe and amazement.

Have you ever noticed small children?They see every new event with awe and amazement.They don't value judge the moment.They just take it as it comes.They'd be in as much awe in a beggar's house as they'd be in the White House.They are willing and waiting to be surprised and amazed.

So try to be like a child.Enjoy every miracle(for eg: enjoy reading this post)

Did Obama deserve Nobel Peace Prize?

The president of the most powerful nation in the world , with the strongest military and more than 10000 nuclear bombs got Nobel Peace Prize 'for his great vision and efforts for a world without nuclear weapons'.Do you smell a paradox?

As 'TIME' said "the last thing Barack Obama needed at this moment in his presidency and our politics is a prize for a promise"
If they start giving Nobel Peace prizes for promises,then most of the political leaders in India deserve one.

Alfred Nobel wanted the prize to go to the person "who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations and abolition or reduction of standing armies and formation and spreading of peace agreements".
Obama has talked about all these.But he has not yet accomplished any of these.

His choosers speak only about his efforts and not about his accomplishments.

He is unable to keep his promise of reducing US involvement in Iraq.He is also not able to push the Middle East Peace agenda.

His efforts are only oral,in beautifully articulated speeches.He deserved 'the best orator award' and not the 'Nobel Peace prize'.

Can any one say that the choice of Obama for the prize is in line with the testament of Alfred Nobel, which stipulates action and not promises?

And can Obama,the Nobel Peace prize winner,continue to hunt terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq or can he bomb Tehran's nuclear facility without embarrassment even if it is in US or global interest?
If he do so,the award will lose its credibility.If he does not,he will lose his.What a fix he is in!

And Good luck Obama.May your fight for a 'nuke free world' continue!

Are the most successful persons,the ones who had most knowledge,money and intelligence?No.Its not true.If it was true ,all the students taking engineering and medicine would have become successful engineers and doctors.

I'll give you a list of persons.Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Larry Ellison, Soichiro Honda and Richard Branson.Whats common in them?Of course, they all are achievers.But all of them don't have a college degree.
Yet they have built billion dollar empires.Most of their workers have Harvard MBAs.

Yes,today also most of the 'degree holders' do not accomplish much although they have the knowledge and intelligence.
The irony is that most most of the people who do well academically usually end up working for those who were average performers at school.
Why is this so?
The answer lies in the fact that these successful individuals took more action than others.They had nothing to lose.So they acted when the act was necessary.
But most of the degree holders seldom act.They spend all their time thinking WHY 'something cannot be done; so much so that it paralyses them from taking any form of action.

Knowledge ,intelligence and capability are potential forms of power.Action is the driving force that can make thing s happen.When consistent action is taken towards a specific outcome ,the result will definitely be produced.
Success is determined by how much action we take and not by how much knowledge we have.
So ACT.

Paradox(es)

Believers say -
"God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and omnibenevolent."
They say that God wanted everyone to have freewill.With freewill comes the will to make others suffer.I find it odd for an omnibenevolent being(God) to create something with the ability to make others suffer.Why didn't he(G) give us the ability to chose only the right thing?
Making you do something bad and then punishing you(that's what so called God does) or making you do only the good things-Which one is better?
Then you may say that God can't make everyone do good.Why not?You say that he is omnipotent!

If God was(or is)omniscient,he would have known before the birth of a person that he would commit such and such sins.And as he is omnipotent,he can change it.But God didn't do so.Why?

Still believers say-
1)"God may use short-term evils for long-range goods"
An omniscient God would and must know how to achieve long range goals.

2)"God created the possibility of evil, but not the evil itself, and that free will was necessary for the highest good of real love"
God creates(according to theists)beings which are capable of being evil.And if they do evil,he(G) himself is becoming evil.God knew that they would do evil,but he did nothing to stop them before doing so.He punishes them after committing the sin.He himself makes them do so and he himself punishes them.What a paradox!How can God be called omnibenevolent ?

3)"God uses suffering to bring about moral character"
That's a great example of lacking ominbenevolence .If he was omnibenevolent,he would make beings already moral.But instead he punishes his creation for his own doings.

4)"Suffering can bring people closer to God"
We (or I) call it selfishness.

And my dear theists,whom I believe would question all this,If you want to stay in the debate(which has been continuing for centuries),first-
Prove God's existence.God can't exist because billions say-'Of course he exist'.
Then explain to me how omniscience wouldn't come with the wisdom to prevent suffering.

Feed your mind and soul.

We all feed our stomachs at least 2-3 times a day.But have you ever considered about feeding your mind and soul?If you want to grow in terms of emotional strength and mental strength and abilities,you must constantly feed your mind and soul.

What can you do to feed your mind?The best thing to do is to read.But be careful also about what you feed into your mind.

In order to constantly feel inspired,motivated,and re-charged you must feed your soul also.Different people feed their souls in different ways.Some people pray,others meditate,some write journals and so on.
If you constantly feel strained,drained or unfulfilled,it is sure that you have not fed your soul.

So start feeding your mind and soul to create the mental and emotional strength you need to achieve your GOAL.

There are two types of luck in our life.
#1 The Luck of where and when we are born and
#2 the luck we experience after birth, during our life's journey.

The first one is the luck to be born to parents who have the means to send you to school, give you 3 meals a day and provide shelter for you.It is the luck to be born in a country where everyone have equal opportunity irrespective of their race/religion.It is the luck to be born with a healthy body.
There are people born in third world, impoverished countries with no food or water. With no money to buy clothes. There are millions more with illnesses and disabilities. There are so many born with no parents, abused and neglected.

There is another type of luck.It is the luck which comes to us in the journey of life.But such a luck can only be effective if you take ACTION on it.

Some people says that life never gives them any opportunity at all and they are unlucky.

Opportunities are out their every single day.But you MUST SEE THEM and you MUST UNDERSTAND THEM.Opportunities always come disguised as PROBLEMS.So don't fear problems.They are opportunities in disguise.Recognize them and turn them into luck.

Even if opportunities are not there for you to take,you can make YOUR OWN opportunities.If your boss does not give you a promotion,ask for one.

Some people say that President Obama was lucky to be at the right place at the right time. Because former President George Bush screwed up so badly, Americans wanted total change and were willing to vote for him (a young, African American President instead of an experienced white one).

However for Obama to have taken advantage of the OPPORTUNITY and TAKE ACTION, he had to be PREPARED. He had to have all the knowledge and skills to do the job. It took him 40+ years to prepare himself to be lucky. If you know his life story, he set the goal of become the US President at the age of 5, when he was studying in Jakarta. Since then he studied very hard, took on leadership roles, volunteered for community service, went to Columbia University and Harvard University where he studied Politics, International Relations and Law.

SO start making your own luck from today by looking out from problems and seeing them as opportunities.

For things to change,you must change first!

We hear such things everyday around us.In fact we play a very important role in creating what's happening to us.People who are in control of their lives believe that they create their world.If everything is going great,then they created it.If things are not going well,then they created it as well.Some people say that they never get lucky,they are never at the right place at the right time etc.You can create your own luck(believe it).

If you never find any good opportunities,it could be because of your limiting beliefs and thoughts.If you believe that there are no opportunities around,your mind will tend to delete all the great opportunities,even if they are right before you.

For things to change,first of all ,we must change.Mahatma Gandhi has said "Be the change you want to see in the world".
When you take responsibility for what we get and change ourselves,everything and everyone will change along with us!

Take absolute responsibility for your results!

We hear such things every day.The statements above have one common thing-blaming others for your present condition.By doing so we lose the power to chose and we feel powerless and helpless.

If you are upset,you are choosing to be upset.If you are happy,you are choosing to be happy.Remember ,no one one can affect how you feel until you allow them to .The moment you understand this,you can choose differently.

For example ,if you get dismissed from your job,you can feel depressed and dejected.But you can also choose to work hard and make yourself successful.

The most famous example is what Lee Iacocca did when Henry Ford 11 fired him (a personality clash). He simply left and joined a rival motor company (Chrysler), turned that ailing company into a direct rival and competitor of Ford.

And taking responsibility for what's happening to you does not mean blaming yourself.By blaming yourself you beat yourself up to find helpless and depressed.That's not what taking responsibility is all about.It means acknowledging the fact that the choices you made in the past have contributed to your present situation.

The key elements that drive our actions and results are the emotions we experience.When we feel excited and motivated ,we are more likely to take actions that will bear results
But when we are upset and depressed, we rarely make good decisions
or do anything productive.
If you are in control of your life,if you have the power to choose whether you must be happy or sad,motivated or dejected ,then you can definitely improve your situation.

From this moment onwards, start taking responsibility for
your feelings and results.

Yet another fake encounter.Yet another cold blooded murder.What's all this turning out to be?
Does a govt have the right to take away the life and liberty of a person?
I think you might have understood what I am talking about.Yes, it's about the murder of Israt Jahan in 2004 by the police of Gujarat.Its better to call them a gangster group than Police.They did it to please their CM-Narendra Modi.
Is this all happening in India-India of Mahatma Gandhi,India of Jawaharlal Nehru?Now I feel ashamed to say that Gujarat is a part of India.
Who's responsible for all this.The police?The CM?No ,the people of Guajarat is responsible.They should have studied a lesson from the Godhra experience .But they repeated their mistake by re-electing the man eater - Modi .And one day they will regret it.But then it will be too late.

'If only I had more time'
'If only my parents could be more encouraging'
'If only my husband could be more understanding'

These are the common litany of excuses we hear.People who say such things believe themselves to be the victims of life and say that the only way for their life to change for the better is when other people change ,or if the social environment improves.

As long as we keep thinking that it's not our mistake,we will continue to fell powerless and helpless and we'll be totally at the mercy of the environment.

As long as we play the part of victim ,we won't be able to take advantage of the situation,and we won't be able to study from our mistakes.

We do this because it makes us fell good.By playing the part of victim,we get a lot of symapthy.It seems good in the short run,but it causes many problems in the long run.

First of all we lose the power to take charge and to change the situation.And we put others in charge of our life.
At last we feel totally powerless ,with no control over what is happening to us.
So to change the outer world ,first of all we must change.
So from today onwards stop playing the part of a victim.Learn from your mistakes.Stop blaming others for your mistakes.Then the outer world WILL change.

How to set up Goals that become reality?

Goals gives us a definite direction with which to focus our energies on.With out goals our actions and decisions won't be directed and we'll end up going nowhere.

Many people have tried this goal setting.But it have not worked for them.It's because they are not setting the goals in the effective way.For most people dreaming and setting a new year's resolution is the idea of goal setting.Many people for example set a new year's resolution of losing weight.And they check their progress the following year with out thinking about it the whole year.And sure enough ,it was not achieved.And they set another resolution that year and the unsuccessful cycle continues.

To set goals that will drive you to success ,you must make your goals very specific.Specific goals gives us the focus we need to take actions.So set specific goals and you will see them manifesting soon enough.

Be specific about your Goal

The first step to get what you want is to know exactly what is that you want.This sounds simple.But most people never seem to get what they want,simply because they are not clear about what they want in the first place.

Until and unless you have a specific target,you cannot develop an effective strategy to reach there.

The moment you clarify your goals,see them in your mind eye,it becomes crystal clear to you what you must do to get there.

When we read biographies of great achievers,we can understand that their outstanding achievements are rarely outcomes of chance.They don't have success thrust upon them

I'll give you two examples
1.At the age of eight, Tiger Woods set his goal of breaking every
record set in golf and to become the world's number one golfer. He
accomplished this feat 13 years later at the age of 21. How?
He spent those fourteen years focusing on his game in order to take
it to the level he needed in order to be the best.

2.At the age of 12, Steven Spielberg knew that what he wanted to do
was to tell stories to the world by making movies. It was this
specific goal that directed him to spend his time making home
videos at the age of 12 and exposing himself to movie sets at
universal studios at the age of 18.
It was these years of focused effort that allowed him to build the
level of experience and skill he needed to make some of the best
movies around.

Very few successful experiences occur by chance.Almost all are results of design and hard work.
But most people don't have plans for their life and all their work becomes futile.
Its only when we know what we want very specifically, will be able to put all our energy and talent to it so that it may bear fruits.
So be very specific about 'what you want to become'.

Another problem arises when we keep multiple options.Multiple options will make it difficult for us to concentrate.I don't mean that you must only try to become a doctor or an engineer.First try to become a doctor or engineer(or whatever you want),and after achieving it, if you have time left,work for the second.

Use "MUST" and Succeed in life

Just by listening to the words people use,we can understand How committed a person is to achieve his Goals.
For example, if someone says, 'I would like to finish this project by today' and someone else says, 'I must finish this project by today.'Who would you bet your money on?

The words we use represent the way we frame the thoughts in our mind.If we observe and pay attention to speeches of great personalities like Martin Luther King,Bill Gates,Barack Obama etc,we can see that they consistently ust the word 'MUST' in their speeches rather than Should or could.

Similarly, the words we use on ourselves will impact how we represent something in our minds.When we use words like 'Should','would like','wish' etc ,we don't hardly get a sense of urgency.
You see, words evoke different emotions within us.
So start using Must and you will get all you want

Choose to win

Despite all our deficiencies, we,all humans,have one power.Yes the power to CHOOSE.Some of us might be born rich or poor or might be born physically weak or strong.Despite all this we can Choose.
But you can't chose your parents or can't chose to be born rich or poor(lets call them outerworld).But we have 100% choice over our thoughts and actions(call them inner world).Your choices really matter because they are the ones that determine your success,happiness and much more.
Now lamenting that your outer world is of no use.Change your inner world.Then your outer world WILL change.
And understand one thing ,your past mistakes doesn't matter .What that matters is your success in the future.
Make a good choice today so that you can make your tomorrow successful.

Two poisonous ideas.

The following two poisonous ideas build enormous obstacles to success.
1.Feeling ashamed:
You can make yourself ashamed of being too quick or too slow,or being too fat or too thin or for who knows what.Whether your particular reason is one or the other,it really doesn't matter.But don't allow them to discourage you from moving Forward.

If some one criticize you,listen carefully to them,see if they have a point.Try to rectify it assuming that something is under your control and then move on.
What ever you do and how well you do it,there will be many to find your mistakes.Learn from them if they make sense .Then move on.

2.Believing that you don't have any chance in life:
We might see many around us who achieved success without much work.We can't deny that some owe their success to inheritance or family connections.A very good example is Rahul Gandhi.He had no connection with politics.He never worked for any student organisation.Then also he bacame something because of his mother,father,grand mother and great grand father.
That does not mean that we must be paralysed by envy. We must not lose hopes of success.

Imagine, for instance, that a competitor has great political connections and that you have none. If such connections are required to succeed in a certain field, you'd do better to acknowledge that reality.

It again does not mean that you don't have any chance left.Take it as a message and get down to work in another field where you can shine more.

Crying about the unfairness of the world is mostly a waste of time.Instead of lamenting on it ,contribute to change it so that others won't have your fate.

And last but not least,don't delude yourself that you need to change the world before becoming successful in your life.

And in your road to success ,wrong ideas will be the largest obstacles.Throw them away and MOVE ON...

നമ്മുടെ സ്കൂളിലൊക്കെ വല്ല പരിപാടിക്കും വരുന്നവര് പറയും -പണ്ടൊക്കെ നമ്മള്‍ മണ്ണെണ്ണ വിളക്കിന്റെ വെളിച്ചതിരുന്നാ പഠിച്ചിരുന്നെ ,അഞ്ചും പത്തും കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ നടന്നാണ് സ്കൂളില്‍ പോയിരുന്നത് എന്നൊക്കെ .അപ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ ആലോചിച്ചു- ഏതാണ്ട് അമ്പത് വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ശേഷം ഞാനും ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു സ്കൂളില്‍ പ്രസംഗിക്കാന്‍ പോയി .എന്തായിരിക്കും ആ പ്രസംഗത്തിന്റെ ഉള്ളടക്കം?
ആ പ്രസംഗം ചുവടെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു
NB :താഴെ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രസംഗത്തിന് ആരെങ്കിലും എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും പറഞ്ഞ വല്ല പ്രസംഗവുമായി എന്തെങ്കിലും സാമ്യം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അത് നിങ്ങളുടെ കുഴപ്പമാണ് .
"ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട പ്രിന്‍സിപ്പല്‍ ,അധ്യാപക അധ്യാപികമാരെ, എന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട കുട്ടികളെ .ഇന്നു ഇവിടെ വരാനും ഈ സ്കൂളിന്റെ സ്പേസ് ക്ലബ്ബിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനത്തില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാനും സാധിച്ചതില്‍ എനിക്ക് അതിയായ സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ട് .മനുഷ്യന്‍ സ്പേസില്‍ എത്തിയതിന്റെ നൂറാം വാര്‍ഷിക ദിനമായ ഇന്നു തന്നെ ഇതു നടന്നതില്‍ എനിക്ക് അതിയായ സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ട് .നൂറു വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ മുമ്പു റഷ്യ എന്ന ഒരു രാജ്യത്തെ യുറി ഗഗാറിന്‍ എന്ന ഒരാള്‍ ആദ്യമായി സ്പേസില്‍ എത്തി .അതൊരു തുടക്കമായിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ നമുക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കേണ്ടി വന്നിട്ടില്ല .ഇപ്പോള്‍ മനുഷ്യന്റെ സാമ്രാജ്യം 8 ഗ്രഹങ്ങളില്‍ പടര്‍ന്നു പന്തലിച്ചു നില്‍ക്കുന്നു .
പണ്ടു നമ്മള്‍ ഭൂമിയില്‍ മാത്രമാണ് ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നത് .പക്ഷെ ഇന്നു ഭൂമിയുടെ നൂറിരട്ടിയോളം വലിപ്പമുള്ള വ്യാഴത്തില്‍ പോലും മനുഷ്യന്‍ വസിക്കുന്നു .
നമ്മള്‍ വളരെ അധികം വളര്‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു .പക്ഷെ നമുക്കു പലതും നഷ്ട്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. നമ്മള്‍ ഭൂമിയില്‍ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നപ്പോള്‍ നമുക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പലതും ഇപ്പോള്‍ നമുക്കില്ല .പണ്ടൊക്കെ വെള്ളം നമ്മുടെ ഭൂമിയില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു .ഇന്നു നമ്മള്‍ ഓക്സിജനും ഹൈഡ്രജനും ചേര്‍ത്ത് കൃത്രിമമായി വെള്ളം നിര്‍മിക്കുന്നു . അത് പോലെ തന്നെ മണ്ണിന്റെ കാര്യവും . സാധാരണയായി കോടിക്കണക്കിനു വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട് ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന മണ്ണ് ഇന്നു നാം ക്രോബിയോമീറ്റര്‍* ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിര്‍മിക്കുന്നു .
പണ്ടൊക്കെ മനുഷ്യര്‍ അച്ചടിച്ച പുസ്തകങ്ങള്‍ വായിച്ചിരുന്നു .ഇന്നു അച്ചടി തന്നെ ഇല്ല . എല്ലാം കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ,കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ മാത്രം .മാത്രമല്ല ഇന്നു ഫാക്ടറികളിലും ,മറ്റു സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും ഒരൊറ്റ മനുഷ്യന്‍ പോലും ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല .എല്ലാം റോബോട്ടുകള്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നു .റോബോട്ടുകള്‍ നല്ല ജോലിക്കാര്‍ തന്നെ,പക്ഷെ അവര്‍ നല്ല യജമാനന്മാരയിരിക്കില്ല .നമ്മള്‍ കൊടുക്കുന്ന ബുദ്ധി അവര്‍ നമുക്കെതിരെ തന്നെ പ്രയോഗിച്ചാല്‍ എന്ത് ചെയ്യും ?
പണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര്‍ തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള്‍.ഇന്നു മനുഷ്യനെ മാത്രം പേടിച്ചാല്‍ പോര .അന്യഗ്രഹ**ജീവികളെക്കൂടി പേടിക്കണം .നമ്മുടെ സാമ്രാജ്യം വലുതാവുന്തോറും ശത്രുക്കളുടെ എണ്ണവും കൂടുന്നു .
നിങ്ങളുമായി കുറച്ചു കൂടി കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ പങ്കുവയ്ക്കാന്‍ എനിക്ക് ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ട് .പക്ഷെ ശനിയില്‍ വേറെ ഒരു പരിപാടിയില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കേണ്ടത് കൊണ്ടു എനിക്ക് ഉടനെ പോകണം .
