One of the most angelic voices to hit the zouk scene in recent years, Marcia’s first album, the self-titled, “Marcia,” is the source of two of the most often requested songs in the New York Brazilian Zouk dance scene, “Um Chance” and “Vida.”
Born in Lisbon, as the daughter of Cape-Verdean immigrants, Márcia, spent the first four years of her life in Portugal. As a child, she discovered her passion for singing. It was after moving to Germany, that she first started playing the keyboard and as she continued to develop her playing skills, she realized she had an affinity for composing harmonic melodies.
She worked out her singing technique by following her idols, Whitney Houston and Lauryn Hill. Throughout her adolescence she looked to establish her own unique identity that would make her stand out from other singers. Part of this journey of self discovery included singing in a rock band for a period of time, before finally returning to R’n'B and Soul.
With the help of German producers she began producing a Soul album, on which she composed most of the songs. Unfortunately, this album was never released.
After this disappointment, she almost stopped singing and was on the verge of giving up her career as a singer. But fortunately for the zouk lovers everywhere she found the strength to overcome this setback and in 2006 managed to release her debut zouk album, “Marcia.” The album was critically received with widespread positive reviews and a tour soon followed, that included touring Europe, the USA and French and Portuguese language speaking countries.
Three years later she is preparing her new album which reflects a wide variety of influences including Zouk, Kizomba, Traditional Cape Verdean Music mixed up some Latin American flavors. The new album is expected to be released in February 2010.

According to the legend, God created the world and threw the handful of remaining land in the Atlantic, which gave birth to the islands of Cape Verde, isolated and uninhabited. From a scientific point of view, Cape Verde is formed by a succession of volcanic episodes. The landscapes of flat islands, as Maio, Boavista Sal or even, let assume the geological origins. But Fogo is the only island still housing an active volcano, the Pico de Fogo, the highest point of the island (2829 m). The last eruptions dating from 1951 and 1995 have left around a moonscape of lava and ash dried.

Suzanna Lubrano was born November 10, 1975, in the islands of Cape Verde.

At the age of 4, she moved to the Netherlands with her parents. She started singing when she was still a young child, but resumed singing professionally when she was 18. She made her debut as a professional singer in Rabelados, famous band in Cape Verde. In collaboration with Rabelados she recorded a very successful album. At this point, Suzanna had already started a solo career, which resulted in three solo his debut album "Sem bó nes mund," (Without you in this world), following the successful "Fofo" (Honey), and the last, "Tudo pa bo" (All for you) in 2002. Tudo Pa Bo on Suzanna began a collaboration with "master zouk" Ronald Rubinel the French, who had previously asked Suzanna to participate in its "Jeux de Dames" (Card Games) and the cd "Zouk Me Love."

Suzanna has become one of Cape Verdean singers most requested within the Afro-Portuguese community in the world.

She has performed on stage in European countries like France, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. She also performed on stage in the United States, her native country, the Netherlands, and has attracted a wide audience with his performances on the islands of Cape Verde, Senegal, Angola and Mozambique. As the music industry in Mozambique has officially begun as CD sales, Suzanna has received both a golden opportunity and a platinum disc in this southern African country. The queen of Cape Verdean Zouk has made TV appearances in a number of countries, such as Portugal, Cape Verde Islands, Angola and the Netherlands. In 2001, Suzanna won two awards from the music Cabo in Netherlands, one for best female vocalist and one for best duet.
