Cannabis and The 2016 Candidates

So I’m sitting here listening to these nit wits- well, maybe more drifting in and out than listening— but either way, I’m listening to them go on and on about how bad all the others are going to be and how we should pick them because the others are no good. I’ve noticed over the weeks only 1, maybe 2, that actually stick to speaking of the good they plan to do versus the bad their opponent will do.
Thinking along the lines of the good they will do, I start to wonder; “Hmm, which one will actually do good by pot?” my wife jumped and said “What? Did you say something?” Nah….my bad, just thinking out loud again. Apparently. So I start to think about it again. I mean, I’m pretty high right now and I like that, I’ve been doing it a long time now. I’m accustomed to it. I would like to keep doing it. I do what I need to do and I’m not hurting anyone and there are many like me. Some people drink, I like to smoke since I can function. So who, out of these people, will stand up for my right as a grown adult to enjoy myself? Or at least for a sick person to treat themselves? Who, out of these candidates is going to be my best ally in the war against me not being high? I’m pretty sure I already knew who I was going to support, for various other reasons, but I really couldn’t tell you right off hand where they stand on marijuana legalization.
So now a little paranoia pokes it’s head in and I start to think that if I don’t know about the one I was going to vote for, what about the others? It would be bad enough to have someone in office who is “not good” or indifferent for pot but even worse to have someone who is bad for legalization. The wrong person in office could possibly take us backwards. So in the spirit of making an informed decision plus just quenching the curiosity, I decided to do a little research and find out where each of them stand on marijuana legalization. Below is some of the information I came across to get an idea on where they stand and my opinion on each. Feel free to do your own research.

Ted Cruz (R)

I figured I’d get this guy out of the way first. Personally I think he looks creepy and I never thought he would be any good for the pro-marijuana cause to begin with. Eating a booger on live TV does not help that either. Regardless, I wanted to see where he actually stands, or at least where he says he stands.

It seems he won’t be much help with legalization other than possibly staying out of the way. Just a couple years ago in 2014 Ole Ted was saying that the Federal Government should be enforcing the drug laws. Not even a year later in 2015 he is saying that even though he does not agree with it, (marijuana legalization) he feels it is the state’s right and we should let the states experiment with it. I guess it could be worse.
When it comes to drugs and the drug war in general he seems to be on the right track. Although not fixing the problem, he does feel in 2015 that there need to be lower minimum and mandatory sentences for drugs. He also supports giving the judges more discretion on sentencing. In support of that he Co-Sponsored The Smarter Sentencing Act of 2015.
When it comes to his past personal marijuana use he does not have much to say. The statement given 2015 is “I foolishly smoked pot when I was young, but never since.”

Marco Rubio (R)

So now on with Marco Rubio. Just saying stupid things and looking like your baked is not enough to say you’re pro-legalization. I needed to see what the deal was with this guy too. Not that I’d vote for him, just good to know and glad I did. Wooooo I think he is a closet user because of how hateful towards marijuana he is. Kind of like the closet gay politicians. They are always the worst for gay rights and this guy seems to be that way about weed.
Just in recent years Marco hasn’t had anything nice to say about legalized marijuana. Heck in one month in 2014 he repeatedly said that there is no responsible way to recreationally use marijuana. As if that was not bad enough he also repeatedly stated that the federal government needs to enforce the federal drug laws in the states with legalized marijuana. This is in addition to saying that legalization would be a mistake and we should only reduce sentences very carefully. This is just crazy talk. That attitude didn’t change a bit come May 2015 when he is repeating the same thing, No responsible way to recreationally use marijuana. Knowing how many potheads there are in every aspect of life I can’t help but wonder how many people around him rolled their eyes and thought this dude is killing my buzz.
The only positive thing, and barely, is when in Aug. 2015 he said Medical marijuana “could” be ok, but not recreational. So basically, if marijuana and legalization is a big thing to you, this is certainly not your guy.
As for the question of personal consumption, I think he smokes. Not only because of the look on his face in the above pic. Not because his brother-law was sentenced to 35 years for cocaine distribution, served 10 and Marco pulled strings to get him (a felon) his real estate license. I think he smokes because of how he always avoids answering the question. His only answer as to whether he smoked in the past or currently is that it does not matter and is irrelevant.
Hillary Clinton (D)

You know you think you know about someone until you really start looking into them. Hillary I have always felt started off with good intentions then ended up being a politician instead. Kind of like the saying that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. See how she fought for health care I thought she would be the same on marijuana but I still needed to look into it anyway.
It seems, and I should not be surprised, that she treads down the middle. Like she is trying to do what is right, but not all at once and without making anyone upset. Just enough to keep some of the pro-legalization folks quiet and not so much as to make big waves (as she should) in business and law. She wants to talk the good talk, but keep getting the funding from the big guys. Her stance is currently to Stop putting marijuana users in jail. That is a big plus of course, but not legalized as it should be. She is ok with Medical Marijuana and has a wait and see attitude on Legalized Recreational Marijuana while some states try it out.
As for drugs in general I think she is along the right track, although not taking it as far as she should. Not only does she want to stop locking up pot heads but she also wants to divert non-violent drug offenders away from prisons. Instead setting up community support and policing programs. In addition she wants to end the harsher sentencing policy for crack cocaine over powder cocaine.

As for her personal marijuana use I was a bit surprised. She says, and people back her up, that she was basically a good girl. She never smoked drank, smoked pot, did drugs, go to parties or get wild. I’m sure Bill did enough for both of them. It turns out she liked to dress occasionally like a hippy, but did not party like one.

Donald Trump (R)

You know we had to get around to Donald. Donald fkn Drumph. With all the hate, rudeness, and dick comments I think he would be a much better movie president than a real one. I think he is still campaigning like he is on a reality TV show. Regardless, even though I don’t care much for him as a candidate or anything else for that matter, I really had no idea what his marijuana policy is. I assume he would be all for legalization or anything that would be profitable.
I thought being the loudmouth he is there would be tons on this subject with him. Meh, not so much. He had said a few times in the past that drug enforcement is a joke. At one point he even said all drugs should be legalized and taxed for education. That I found to be a shocker. Something I would agree with him on. Apparently that was just a mood. He fired Miss USA back in 2006 for drug use and in 2015 said only Medical Marijuana should be legal. So I guess it depends on what mood he is in or what audience he is speaking to at the time.
As for his personal use of marijuana that is non-existent. Apparently his brother was a big time drinker and died from it. He advised him never to drink or do drugs and he claims never have touched anything ever. I don’t believe him but hey, that could explain why he is an asshole a lot of times. Maybe he should smoke a big fatty
Bernie Sanders (D)

Of course I saved the best for last. This s my guy for a million reasons other than weed. He has been on the right side of history and important decisions for decades and way before people see it. With that in mind you would think it would be safe to assume he will also be on the right side of marijuana legalization. Well, I can’t assume because you never know. I need to look into it.
So with Bernie being on the right side of history and many important decisions, it was no shock to find him on the cutting edge with marijuana policy. Back in 2001, before it was even a thing, he fought to legalize medical marijuana and Co-Sponsored the States Rights to Medical Marijuana Act. Most candidates don’t even speak of hemp, yet in 2013 he calls to remove industrial hemp from the marijuana laws. In Sept 2015 he publicly states that The War on Drugs is a failed policy and drug use should be met with treatment, not punishment. Of course with all this it was no surprise when in Oct 2015 he said he would certainly vote for the legalization of recreational marijuana use. Even if only to reduce jailing of citizens. It does not get anymore straight forward than that.
As for Bernie’s personal use of marijuana; he admits to smoking marijuana when he was younger. He said, he did smoke, and he did inhale but did not like it due to all the excessive coughing.

So all in all I would have to say that if the only thing you’re stoned ass cares about is who will be most likely to legalize marijuana across the board, than clearly Bernie Sanders is the man.
Cruz is barely on the fence with medical but at least sees the BS in minimum mandatories and such.
Rubio is the last damn thing you would want when it comes to marijuana anything. He would be like Hitler to the Jews for marijuana legalization. I’m sure I’d end up in some kind of camp somewhere. While that hypocrite gets high.
Hillary is wishy washy and on the fence trying not to piss anyone off at all. I am sure she would just pander to whoever made the most noise and biggest donations. Which on the plus side, if stoners would get their shit together they might be able to nudge her to the legalize side.
Trump, well he is Trump and there is really no telling with that guy. He could flat out say he guarantees to keep it illegal or to make it legal and I’d be like: “Meh, we’ll see what he says tomorrow”.
You want legalizes recreational marijuana in additional to medical? Then there is no other choice than Bernie Sanders. He didn’t beat around the bush about it he will do it. He was ahead of the ball in moving on medical years ago. He is influenced by what is best for the American people. not what is most profitable for big business. **

Best Way to Clean Your Glass Pieces

So what does everybody use to clean their favorite glass piece? Comment with what works for you.

I have been asked a few times about the best way to clean glass pieces. I have personally found that Rubbing Alcohol (90%) along with Coarse Salt (like sea or kosher salt. Pretzel salt for those in the north east) and regular salt. Shake it up continuously for like a minute or so and done, like brand new. Might have to repeat a time or two if you've been lazy and let it get real nasty. Much cheaper than those bottles of cleaner for 10-15 bucks.

Philly to decriminalize Marijuana!

Well it looks like Philadelphia's Mayor Nutter is not so nutty. He is supposed to sign a bill into law this week that will decriminalize marijuana possession in Philadelphia. This has to be one of the best things to happen to that city since Ben Franklin.

Stuffed Jalapenos wrapped in Bacon for the MUNCHIES!!

This is one of my favorite cures for the munchies! Takes some time to prep and cook so roll a fat bone for while you are working on them and by time they are done the munchies will have already kicked in. The smell through out the house is great and makes the 30-40 minutes they take to cook seem like forever. That is usually a good time to follow that bone up with a nicely packed bowl.

I don't really like hot/spicy foods. Shit I can barely eat the Taco Bell Mild Sauce. Sometimes if you get the right Jalapenos they will not be hot at all. BUT No matter how hot they are I will grab a glass of Milk, and a rang to wipe the sweat of my head and chow down. I will eat the whole damn tray, crying the whole time if I have to. They are that damn good!

There is no sure fire way to know that a jalapeno is hot or not, but there are some clues that are right occasionally. Larger, smoother, and more evenly green jalapenos tend to be less hot. Small ones are more likely to be hot. Wrinkled ones are more likely to be hot. Ones with different shades of green or orange tend to be hot. But none of this is a guarantee. I have had large, smooth, evenly green ones be flaming hot, but more often then not, they are not.

This is not laid out like a normal recipe. For the most part each picture is a step. Figured stoners would enjoy the picture pages more. Plus I like it that way.

This is what you will need.

The tools required to get the job done. Along with an oven. Just a baking sheet, bowl (a food bowl lol), fork, spoon, cutting board, and knife.

8 Medium to large Jalapenos. In the end, like magic you will have 16

Oscar Mayer MAPLE Bacon. There are a couple reasons I choose this. I have used other types but the sweetness of the Maple goes so well with the cheese and jalapenos. Also, these packs tend to have 16-18 slices of bacon in them. You will need 16 to make a full batch. Leftover bacon I toss in the nuke machine and eat those while I wait.

I don't know if there is a difference between the "Dips" powder or the regular powder. I just always used this.

8oz Philly Cream Cheese. Yeah the little box. The one that says 8oz on the bottom left.

Set that sucker to 350 degrees before you get working on everything else. Don't get baked first and forget. I was pissed when I came back 15 minutes later to check on them just to find them sitting in the cold oven. Was wondering why I didn't smell them.

At this point I usually toss the cream cheese in the bowl and let it soften up more while I get the peppers ready.

Pop the stems off each of the peppers. The will POP right off and we don't need those suckers.

Cut the Jalapenos in half

Yeah, cut them ALL in half. Now you got 16! Woo I know my Maths.

I usually put the grocery bag in the trash can but covering the top. I do this because I almost always drop at least one pepper while getting the seeds and ribs out. And yes, even without the bag I will dig through the trash to find the dropped pepper. Don't worry, I rinse it off before using it. I think.

Use your spoon to scrape all the seeds and ribs out of each of them into the trash can.

You probably don't have too, but I always score the cheese with the fork before adding the Ranch Powder.

Even after sitting for a bit and being scored you may want to toss the cheese in the microwave for like 5 to 12 seconds depending on how strong your microwave is. This will just make it easier to mix in the powder. You don't want it runny though, just soft.

Add the Ranch Powder to the soft cheese.

Get with the mixing! I use the fork at first but then the spoon to get the cheese at the bottom that the fork couldn't get.

Start stuffing peppers. I use the spoon for this also. Make sure they are full. You can over fill them if you want and have enough cheese but it does puff up and run out when cooking.

Yeah, you want that cheese in all of them.

I almost always have a little cheese left over. My son like to eat this. I have also used the left over cheese with the 1 or 2 pieces of bacon that were left over to make a bacon cheese ranch dip. Just cook a strip or 2 of bacon in the nuke machine and crumble it into the left over cheese. Enjoy with tortilla chips or whatever. I ate mine with a spoon since I had ran out of chips

Open up your bacon and count the slices. Make sure you have at least 16. If not, you can just split a slice in half and use it on the two halves of the smallest pepper.

FYI: Something about the way Oscar Mayer cuts the Maple bacon causes this kind of crack. A lot of times each slice will break at this point and you have a bunch of little pieces of bacon. I look at all the packages on the shelf at the store to find the one that seems to be the most together. This pack was the winner when I went today.

This is the messy part. You need to wrap each stuffed pepper with 1 slice of bacon. I wrap them a little at an angle to cover the whole things. Kind like the stripes of a barber pole or candy cane. Excess bacon I just wrap back up over the bottom to close it off. This helps hold the cheese in. Plus you can never have too much bacon.

Yep lazy ass, you will have to wrap them all.

Throw them suckers in the over (should already be preheated to 350 or did you get high and forget?) You want them in there for anywhere from 30-40 minutes. Depending on if your oven is a piece of shit or not. Mine is not, but they take 45min in my sister's.wtf It's torture to wait that long. Might have to smoke another bowl while waiting.

Mmm just about to be done. See the cheese that oozed out turning brown?

They are done!! Let them cool on the stove for like 2 or 3 minutes if you can. They are best when you eat them as hot as you can stand.

I eat them 3 at a time but I have gotten baked and eaten the entire tray of 16 myself. Yeah I was feeling sick afterwards but it was good and I would do it again. lol ENJOY!!

I have always loved glass. It is one of the coolest, and most useful substances on the planet. As a kid I was mesmerized by the glass blowers at the Williamsburg Pottery in Lightfoot, Virginia. I would love to be able to do it myself, but am just as happy watching it. I have a small set up for making glass beads and enjoy doing that. Too little space and proper ventilation for anything bigger. Although it would be really nice to have a head shop full of stuff I actually made myself.

I found this video below online and wanted to share it. I have seen this done in person and I could watch it, or do it all day. The music is ok yet annoying for some reason. I'd probably like the music better if I knew what was being said. It's not too bad. For anyone who has not seen this done, check it out! Enjoy!

Roor Rocket Bong Collapsible Travel Bong

I have to say I think this is pretty cool. Pisses me off that I did not think of it since I always prefer a bong. Also since I keep one of those collapsible cups in the car just in case I need it. Used to carry one of those "AquaPipes" in my car way back but this beats the shit out of that. I will be making sure I get one of these in the future and I will post a review of it and how well it works. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't hit like a champ. Make a Cigarette Pack into a Bowl tutorial.

I think we all have had a time where you had some nice budz but a bowl was nowhere in sight. Well here is a little something that just may come in hand in your time of need. I'd like to thank my Uncle Jim for teaching me this way back in the day. He taught me lots of things over the years, but it seems the weed related ones stuck. Standing in the garage one day I had a little smoke but nothing to smoke out of. My uncle directed me to the empty pack of cigarettes he had in the top drawer of his tool box. Being a young, and still fairly inexperienced stoner I was baffled at how this could possibly be of use. I loved it. Grant it a real glass or metal pipe beats an empty pack of Marlboro's but shit it got the job done, and did not take long at all to make. I thought the apple pipe was cool when I first saw that but shit who carries an apple with them all the damn time? Most everyone I knew had a pack of smokes on them and if not an empty one was easy to come by. Tape is the only thing I normally didn't have on me but you don't really need to use it if you hold the lid closed time. It does make it hit better though. Below I took some pics of the procedure. It only takes like 5 minutes or less to make one of these, even if you have not made one before. Another nice thing is you can crumble it up and throw it out if you don't want or can't be carrying it around with you.

This is the stuff you will be needing. The pen, knife, and key are just to show you can use whatever will poke a hole in the box. I used the pen. Like I said you can get by without the tape by holding the lid closed but it is much better to have the tape.

You stoners make sure you get the cellophane off first. It makes it had to poke holes and tastes like shit if you smoke it. Get rid of that crap, or store your bud in it if need be.

Now you need to be pulling the foil/paper out of the pack, You may need to slide your fingers around it to keep it from tearing too much. You don't need a lot but it would be best not to shred it trying to get it out.

Now poke a hole in the top of the lid with the pen, or whatever you happened to have around that will do the trick. You will probably need to brace the inside of the lid with your index and middle fingers. Push the pen through to come out the other side between your fingers. This will be the part you put your mouth on to hit it.

Now poke another hole in the bottom of the box. You may need to brace this too while you poke it. This will be the carb.

Now to make the hole for the bowl. You will have to brace this with your fingers (shown) to keep the box from collapsing and actually get the pen through.

Once you have the hole for the bowl made, use your pinky finger to widen it up a little bit and smooth the edges out if need be.

Now you want to tear a little piece of foil paper off of what you pulled out of the box. You don't need a whole lot and can trim it down after if you want.

Push the foil (shiny side up) down into the hole with your pinky finger. Once you have the foil and your finger in there a bit, spin the box around a little while your finger is in there. It helps the foil hold it's shape and makes it easier to pull your finger out.

It should look kinda like this, with a slight twist to it from the spinning. If you want you can put your finger back in it and trim some of the excess foil off around it. Leave a little though to cover the area around the bowl.

Now use the tip of whatever the heck you used to make the holes to punch a small hole in the bottom of the foil bowl. Be careful you don't mangle it, it's kinda fragile.

Pull enough tape to go almost all the way around the box. At least a long the front and the sides.

Tape the lid of the box shut. Make sure the sides are taped closed too. If there is a gap on the front flap you can hold the carb closed and blow into it to puff the box a little and touch the tape down.

Your bowl is now ready.

Load it up and enjoy your favorite webpage.

The Giggles and Heavy loads

Stoners are not strangers to the giggles. We all have had them and most of the time I enjoy them. Sometimes it hurts from laughing so much and so hard but it's all good. What I am wondering....Ever notice that even if you don't have the giggles, not even close to giggling, but when you have to pick up something heavy here they come. While moving furniture and stuff into my house today my brother and I stopped to puff a little on the ole Hashish. All was good, feeling good but no giggles. Well time to bring a refrigerator in sure as shit as soon as we are teetering on the steps holding the damn fridge we both get the giggles. Ever notice that the heavier the object and more awkward the position the worse the damn giggles are. Just mentioning how the giggles are about to get us killed with this thing just makes them worse. I know we can't be the only ones that have noticed this, right? WTF is it that makes carrying something heavy give you the damn giggles. The last fucking time I need the giggles is while holding a refrigerator on a set of steps. Comments or theories are more then welcome!!!
