Highpoint Part ONE

I got to Highpoint on Wednesday and we decided to come early so we could get here before the crowds and explore the entire city. There are so many hidden treasures on the outskirts of market and we made some good headway on Wednesday and Thursday. Today Interhall (the main part of market) opened up to the public and of course I was completely inspired. I found some awesome pieces for clients and for my inventory and a few things that I am dreaming of using for future clients! Here is a little taste of our week so far…. These pictures are of day one and two. I will do a post with today and tomorrow in the next post

Dining Room Update

I am pulling out some of the rooms I have done this past year. I have some favorites and this is definitely one of them. We wanted a bright fresh look for this room and it came together pretty gorgeous if I do say so myself. I also love this room because the hutch was an craiglist find for only 140$ and we had it repainted. It is so fun to find statement pieces that are cheap and then can be made into centerpieces for a room.

This cutie turned 4 years old yesterday! Are you kidding me?!

Sawyer, we are so beyond proud of you. You have a zest and joy for life that is absolutely contagious. You love being around other people and adore your friends. You do everything in your life with extreme gusto and intensity. As you grow older I am seeing more and more of your leadership come out. You definitely will be a strong leader in the coming years. I pray that you will continue to learn and fall in love with God so that your leadership will turn into being completely guided by the Holy Spirit. Although you like to “Boss” everyone around I am so beyond thankful that you have this trait. I know that you will be a strong husband, father and young man one day because of your “bossy” spirit.

You have gone through so much in your short little life and you come out of every hardship with more joy and resilience than I ever could have imagined. You take what doctors, teachers, grandparents and mommy and daddy’s tell you and you obey and adjust with a happy spirit. Your personality and life is contagious to be around and your parents could not be more proud of who you are becoming.

Master Bedroom Success

This next project is so special to me b/c it was one of my first clients that truly trusted me and wanted to pay me for my work. We have had so much working together and have a few more rooms we are still in the midst of working on. She sent me pictures of her finished master bedroom and I was so excited to see how beautifully it came together. This project is another design board room and she pulled off and executed the look perfectly from using the boards that I sent her. She even lives in Tulsa so if you don’t live near Fayetteville I can do it with pictures and it still works our great!

This room was pretty much a blank canvas. We did linens, lamps, art, mirrors, pillows, and some new furniture to add to what she already had. It turned gorgeous! Hope you all like it!

Entryway makeover

Here is one of my favorites spaces I’ve done in the last few months. We started out with a dark, outdated entryway and turned it into a modern, light and updated foyer. We used a vintage buffet that I found at a flea market and we had it painted we added new hardware and even added taller retro legs to the piece. We had a custom piece of art painted by one of my best friends and an amazing artist, Amanda Kella and added some gorgeous gold greek key lamps. It turned out so good.

I have been working on getting my interior design business up and running for a while now. Starting in August it was made clear that I could make something of this. People started calling for help here and there and I started really brainstorming and praying about pursuing this full time. It has literally fallen in my lap and become more than I ever thought possible. I have been working with some amazing people these last few months and have some fun projects to show to you all. I hope you all will like the new content I have and will follow along with me on this new chapter in my life. I have been doing this for several months and have shown things some but have wanted to wait until I had my new blog and new website to show you some of my bigger projects. The blog will still primarily be the same just with a new address and more design.
