Is everyone is psychic?

Apparently we are just as everyone can sing. However some people can sing better than others and, occasionally, you get an Elvis or Pavarotti. Trouble with being 'Psychic' of course is that unlike singing, if you don't do it then it's hard to understand, and when you do it's usually harder :-)

The people who are 'naturally' attuned to pick up stuff often start very young and way before their brain is on a level par with their mind. That is the logical intellect has yet to catch up with the emotional mind, so they ask their more mature siblings and elders what's going on. That's like asking someone who lives in a desert how to fish - or even what a fish is.

Likewise the problem works the other way. People who are capable of clair-stuff often can't believe that some people just can't do it, can't understand it and disbelieve in it totally. The reason for that of course is fear of being different.

One of the explanations of Past Lives recall is of course that those experiencing these memories are actually being mediums and misunderstanding what's happening. It's a plausible thing except where that so then you would expect some sort of correlation between psychic experience and the ability to recall past lives.

In my experience there isn't any. People who have never so much as sensed a ounce of spirit happily recall memory after memory of the former resistance and those who can't turn for messages and sightings of dead people get nothing when they go for a recall. Not even when it's done with hypnosis, and I can almost guarantee a 'past life regression' because hypnosis uses the imagination to such a huge degree.

I've had it suggested that PLR is nothing more than just the mind playing games. The thing is there's a good deal of interesting research on past life recall, actually way more than with hypnosis. And as with any research on the mind it can never be accurate if based purely on the premise that the physical world is all there is. I think that the mind is not just a construct of a working brain and a physical entity.

However outside of research situations spontaneous recall of life details, and skills and predispositions which appear to come at an age pre-learning point towards such recall being an entirely natural event do happen. So if it were the mind playing games then it's damn good because it often plays them before the brain is mature enough to tie shoe laces.

I think past lives and what we bring from them are vital. If we take the psychological and indeed the NLP and the usual hypnotic view that you have to learn something to do something then humans would never have got past hitting things with rocks.

Child prodigies can only be explained by having prior knowledge of their skill or 'talent'. There simply isn't any other way.

Does resonance open other doors?

On occasion I have seen hypnotic trance become mediumistic trance.

Now I've seen past lives recall working as a bridge into clairvoyance.

On my last stage show a young lady met her recently deceased Grandmother whilst looking for a past life.

However it's always happened by accident. I'd be doing something else with them and they'd just slip over into chatting with a reletive or on one occasion talking with someone else's relative.

I figure that the resonance of recall is close to that we enter when picking up energies which normally are distant to us. That is the frequency we use to recall, and that we sometimes hit in hypnosis, is so close that it takes very little to jump from one to the other.

The thing is only one thing can prove this, experience. So I'm going to experiment with doing it on purpose. Guess it's never too late to try something new.

The thing with being 'psychic' is that it isn't a choice. It's a condition of being human.

You probably call it intuition and never even try to use it deliberately. Even most people who are highly psychic rarely use the capability deliberately and just report whatever happens spontaneously.

You more than likely ignore it or just write it down to good guessing or even chance. The most common form of that is thinking about someone just before seeing them, getting a letter from them or that phone call. It's also that human thing of knowing when something is going to kick off in a crowd, or when you visit a friend and could cut the 'atmosphere' with a knife.

'Psychic' is a misnomer really, Psychic refers to an 'inner' mind however the mind isn't an internal thing, it's an all enclosing thing. Outside as well as inside.

The results should be interesting. I'll let me know ;-)

How do I access Past Lives without past life regression?

Finding out about your past lives is usually done by hypnotic regression, which is what I used to do. There are several problems with this not the least of which is finding a competent hypnotist.

But it can just as easily be about nothing more than finding your trigger. This is often as simple as a place, a smell, a tune and of course a person or event that starts the association stream running. You know what happens when you hear that song on the radio? The one that brings back all the memories of that day out with your first love?

The other key can be to use what I think is closely associated with memory - Imagination.

I know that's a dirty bad word for hypnotic regression people, but I think imagination is a lot more than just virgin fabrication and making stuff up. As a stage hypnotist I discovered that people who don't have knowledge of something find it almost impossible to invent an action based on that thing. For instance tell someone who has never seen a motor-bike to pretend to ride one and they will just sit there as if Mr Imagination has left home.

This doesn't mean that as human beings we couldn't invent a motorbike or that creativity isn't present in the way we manipulate stuff but even that would need the trigger of seeing something like a bike and an engine to make the free association.

So it is possible, although without guidance it mat be a bit hit and miss, to simply begin to imagine a past life and see where that takes you. The trick is to follow and focus on the strongest and most detailed lines of thought.

This is part of what I do. This is the facilitating part. The part where I keep you focused. I also catalyse and act as a sort of bridge but you already have that bridge if you can find it.

Is Hypnotic regression unnecessary?

Last Sunday I presented an evening of Past Lives Live at my local theatre. Out of the 8 people who volunteered on stage we had 2 maids - one from the 1800's and one from 1700's - a belly dancer from Morocco who was killed in a Tsunami in 1755, a young wayward lady from the mid 1800's a young man on a beach pre calendars and a collection of not so detailed events and 'personalities' to one lady who got nothing and told me she was a 'new' soul.

The fascinating thing for me was there wasn't a single induction, no trance states. These were in my opinion and definately in the opinion of those people experiencing the event, actual memories.

There is without doubt a psychic connection - for that read massive rapport beyond just a social contact - going on when I'm doing this with people, maybe a sharing of mental energies. I know I'm certainly there with them almost totally feeling what they feel.

There is the presenter part of me who is thinking about how long we can stay in each recall, the environment and audience however that is the same bit of my process that makes the car go when I'm having a conversation with a passenger and, after 30 years of showbiz, I can ignore him and let him get on with it.

The thing is that the more I do this using Psychic Recall Resonance, check it out HERE the more I'm convinced that hypnosis as a tool to access past lives is clumsy, cumbersome and actually not needed at all, and that recalling our past lives is a natural process we learn to ignore.
