Oh boy! Lately I am so overwhelmed with amount of work I have so I didn't have much free time to spend on personal project. But when I go on the roll in Pinterest... god is it so inspirational! :) I tried something totally different just play around in Photoshop and forget about Illustrator, precision and anchor points, just to make something free, purely from my imagination.

Lately my collection of design Pinterest board expanded by new posters, styles and collages. So I design something in this aesthetics, and see how it will look. You can see te result. It is a weird combination of scattered letters and old dude with umbrella, flowers, ballerina and dragonfly wings. Yep, you read correctly. (WTF right?;)

Can we have spring already? I'm really missing some sun, warm wind on my face, green leaves and blooming flowers. It's still pretty cold in Poland, and so grayish mood. I can't wait for March and spring, so my today's wallpaper is so floral. Even though the colors are dark I find them so positive.

I'm on the run to learn brush lettering, any lettering to be in fact, so this is my first decent attempt. I used Kuretake Art & Graphic Twin and I'm in love with thicker tip. I don't know why, but my hand isn't that good with normal brushes. Movement of my hand is very quick so I think for now I prefer markers. I just don't have a patience for brushes, damn!

Design Work 07 - AINA

In November 2015 I was working with lovely Claudine for her brand - AINA jewelry. Earlier I posted our moodboard with lovely shades of indigo and pink. I ended up with design with one logo, several logo variations with icons for different product lines, few mockups of business cards, modern line art pattern with geometric feel. Here is final look. It was such fub experience and challenge, especially with circular pattern because everything has to be perfect, every line and angle must be even. I spend some quality time with Illustrator, tearing my hairs out because of it. ;)

Design work 06 - Lucky star

Hello guys! Finally I can show brandboard for Lucky Star! After teasing you with logo propositions, and moodboard, all comes together in this brandoard. I'm very happy with it, but most important Kasia love it as well :) I like how it all have this simplicity and class, which I intended to keep all the way.

Logo design was an exiting and challenging part, geometric star with knitting theme represents business and name of brand in clean and straightforward way. We mixed the typography from logo propositions. Submark and soft colors completed the work. :)

I'm so happy that I can share with you this new project. Recently Kasia contacted me about a logo and branding for her new project - lucky star. I was so pleased because we were working before on her blog, so I knew it's gonna be fun time - again. Lucky Star is new home-based knitting studio. She using merino wool for cute little baby caps, shoes, and also sweaters for adults.

We started from quick brief and Pinterest board for inspiration. Kasia was very clear about her expectation about overall look of her brand. Important key words is: simplicity, minimalism, transparency, class and elegance. Here are logo propositions. In next days I will share final look and moodboard because we have finished working on brandboard :)

2015 PFS rebrand

I'm so happy that I finally make the total makeover of Pastel Feather brand :)

I was preparing for this for a long time, and I came to the conclusion that designing for myself is probably the most difficult thing that I ever tried in design field. Oh my god I'm really so very picky and critic. Everything has to be perfect and double check to the pixel. Two months and few mental breakdowns later I can finally introduce my new look :)

This year will be in gold and pink shades, simple typography and triangular shapes. I want to my brand be delicate, girly and classy. I hope you will like it :)

Free December wallpaper for PC

I just love December :) Snow, hot chocolate, wool socks, hugging boyfriend to stay warm at night, mandarins, Christmas, candles. This is December I love :) Too bad that in Poland this year we don't have snow ;( Probably this winter will be snow-less :( But I love it anyway :)

Lately I discover amazing program Inkscape and I was practicing like crazy my handwriting with tablet. Here are results with free December wallpaper for PC :)

Ooh, this October was pretty intense when it comes to design blogs. But don't get me wrong I'm not complaining! :) today I want to share with my latest work which is D&P good for you blog.

This blog is run since 2009 by the Polish couple: Dominika and her husband Piotr. This charming couple from Gdansk writes a reviews of cosmetics for men and women, advice about beauty, skin treatment, sometimes about blogging culture. The post content is always valuable and in high quality but usually written spontaneously. The blog for them is a pleasure not a duty. Oh, and they are rabbit lovers :)

about the project

We started from picking the color palette and decided to have brown and soft beige tons. I created this moodboard and I was ready to start, I was designing for the first time vintage looking blog so this was a challenge but the final effect is pretty awesome :) Features in this blog are: Magazine style of post, vintage feel, custom blog and post footer, illustrated menu, related post widgets, custom search buttons and of course mobile view styling. After one month of designing and coding we lunched the site. Here is some brandboard and previews:

Do you remember this moodboard that i posted nearly the month ago? I prepared it on the occasion of my next project for the blog template. Read more down below about this blog makeover :)

This special project was for Merve Gizem Oluş from Balköpüğü Blog. Balköpüğü means "honey bubble" and this is a hair colour. (Can you imagine that? ;) ) She lives in Turkey and write about DIY, lifestyle, beauty, outfits, DIY projects and shopping experiences. This amazing women won a prize of "Most social blog of the year" from the newspaper Hurriyet and Balköpüğü Blog is very popular in Turkey. I was super excited when we get in-touch and Merve decided to work with me. She also have a cute cat which has a serious amount of picture in Balköpüğü instagram.

Now Merve starting in contest for "Best Style" so my blog design will be assessed by the jury. I hope that Merve win the price and I'll be so lucky to be part of her success - so fingers crossed:)

about the project

Merve at the beginning wanted to have a design that will differentiate Balköpüğü from other blogs, unlike the classical blog designs. So I realized that this project will be very personal with customized blog elements. We established the color palette which was gold, pink and a little blue and general look of blog. I designed drop-down menu, post titles stylization, about author picture, illustrated menu and wide range of elements - pretty much everything was customized and redesigned. But I won't describe everything for you, when you can look around on Balköpüğü Blog and see on the pictures below :)

Let me introduce you with new project. I'll be redesign Polish beauty blog - the D&P. Ohh, I'm so in love with this colors - mocca, beige, soft shades of brown, pink and yellow. Especially during the autumn hot tea of coffee are my essentials for existence. When I look at this moodboard I almost can smell the delicate coffee. And this peachy and pink are my favorite things in the world. So energetic.

But in blog makeover I'll be more focused in mocca brown and chocolate shades so the style of the blog will also fitting for men readers. I don't want to whole design was strictly for women.

As always I'm so excited to wait and see how this turn into blog ;)

I was making the blog design for Ania from London. She write a food blog: my fat me ania. She isn't vegetarian or vegan, but many of her recipes are. 4 years ago she was diagnosed with PCOS and within the last 18 months she put more than 3stones weigh. Her eating habits are changing now and moving towards enjoying clean, healthy, and raw food. she also try to use whole, unprocessed and gluten free ingredients as much as possible. Ania love eating food, especially while in the presence of good company and experimenting with food, creating new recipes and improving the old ones. This blog is her journey to healthier and better life.

about the project

My job was to create minimalist and clean blog design with watercolor design elements and logo. I coded magazine style for labels and archive pages to show recipes differently. I added a drop down menu for better navigation, custom social media icons and lovely about author widget with my own illustrations. I tried to gently sneak purple / pink color palette into blog design, to keep fresh look, not to overwhelm the reader with those color. On a white background, they stand out nicely and they are silent ambassador of this blog. Custom mobile styling and blog footer closes the project. See for yourself:

Design Work 04: my fat me ania

Cheerio! I am happy that I have a wonderful new client - Ania from my fat me ania. This is food blog about diet and healthy meals. She definitely needs a blog makeover. We establish sweet, and bold color palette and I'm ready to share with you propositions of logo. Must have for Ania: watercolor background - which I begin to specialize ;) Also I prepared secondary logo with handrawn (by me) illustrations of kitchen supplies. So I had a chance to work on my new Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch Tablet, gain new skills and fool around with Illustrator. But results are truly awesome. I have super fun time, and God, I really love my job! More about her final choices and blog makeover soon :)
