I am currently reading Pastor Mark Labberton's book The Dangerous Act of Worship. I am loving it. You have my e-mail address. Could you please pass it on to the pastor? There is something I need to ask him. God Bless you IVP. I am also familar with International Justice Mission. God Bless all. I just became a member of The IVP family. I am enjoying the book and also learning as the Lord leads.

Just to add to the previous responses. I am a Christian woman doing a bible study with two other woman once a week for a year long commitment. We just recently started this book as our latest study. It is full of information that is useful for the new and experienced Christian, interested in finding out about historical Christianity and Theology as well. The recommended books at the end of each chapter may go into detail a bit more on specific topics and we find it perfect that it is given as an option to go deeper into a topic that may not go so deep in the chapter itself. It gives us the flexibility to choose what we want to study in full detail and what we want to just touch on or be introduced to. Great also for the new believer trying to understand the different topics within the faith, such as apologetics, escatology, missionology, reformed theology, puritanism etc... Clearly nothing shallow about this book. Great read so far!

Leslie McFall has an interesting way to deal with the so-called exception clause in Matthew 19:9 that appears to allow for divorce and remarriage for marriage unfaithfulness.
He has written a 43 page paper that reviews the changes in the Greek made by Erasmus that effect the way Matthew 19:9 has been translated. I reviewed McFall's paper at Except For Fornication Clause of Matthew 19:9. I would love to hear some feedback on this position.
