During the winter months, it is hard to find different stunning flowers. The local florist was so kind as to provide stunning unusual flowers. The Big Yellow flower I don't know the name but sure wanted to be the star of this painting. Balance it out with the red, black and white flower. It gives this painting an exotic feel. Like in life we have other flowers that are typical but still lovely.</div>

Snow, Snow and more Snow today so why not paint. These flowers were purchased for a demo but we were snowed out. I decided to put the little market flowers into the 3 vases to separate them out to showcase their beauty. The Sunflower was the star of the flowers so she had to be front and center and all her supporting flowers surrounded her to make her feel warm and cozy on this cold day. To finish this little painting the green bow made me think to Tie a Bow on It.</div>

The summer flowers are long dormant by now so the floral flowers are in use for paintings. Looking for just the right floral combination to create a design that would be lovely. These are roses, violets, carnations and etc to complete the scene. When a friend of mine saw the painting she told me that it reminded her of her mother's flower garden. Her Mom's name was Violet so this painting is called Violets Garden.</div>

These wonderful garden roses are still blooming in the month of October. Add the little pansies with the large green vase and it creates a Green with Envy event. The flowers are trying to still the show but the pot gives the whole thing weight and balance.</div>

What a wonderful group of artist in the recent workshop. The first day they selected roses to paint so the demo was on rose personalities and glass. This was a wonderful cabbage rose from the garden along with a patent rose from the garden. This is a one hour demo talking about composition, color zones and of course roses.</div>

It is so wonderful to have several different rose bushes in the garden providing all types of color. The colors reminded me of sherbet. Cool and lovely types of roses from the English rose, Cabbage rose, wild rose and antique roses. </div>
