Christians We Got To Do Better

I am so sadden about the deaths of our children. I understand that these are suppose to be the last days and don't get me wrong I do know this world as we know it will pass away. But I have been hearing we in the last days since I was a child. What bothers me about people saying that is that, that seem to be an excuse for children killing each other or parents killing their children. Some christians are asking Jesus to hurry up and come back, well I remember Jesus saying that it is not his will that any should perish. So lets try to find some solutions to this problem. It should be unexceptable for children to be killing and children going to state prisons at the ages of 15,16,17.

My christian sisters and brothers we can not hide behide "these are the last days" because we don't really know when our last days are. Didn't Jesus also say that no man knows the day or the hour. And if these are the last days don't we want to be doing the work of our father when Jesus comes back.

I asked God why is this happening, and He told me it's because they don't know me, Hummmmmmm thats sounds like us that know Him should be telling them about Him. Prayer warriors were are you I see so many titles of christian people on the internet as if thats thier badge of honor, no thats our job to do what the bible teaches us about our titles. IF God says you are able to war in the spirit then get to warring, tounges get to speaking to God in that language that the devil don't know. And us evangelist we need to be proclaiming the word of God and teachers, teach the unsaved as well as the saved.

You know when I came on the internet I came to advance the kingdom of God, to me that ment witnessing to those that didn't know God, those that were not sure how to get to God. But all I find myself doing is just talking to people that are already christian. Don't get me wrong I love my christian friends, I love encouraging inspiring and you have really helped me grow and mature in my christian walk. I just don't seem to be doing enough for the Kingdom of God.

We have to do better and try to find some answers, and even with we don't have the answer we must denounce-( to speak against openly and strongly; call bad;to inform against; tell on) condemn the devil and his works

It seem the devil has gotten bolder, then we have to turn the heat up on him. The battle is the Lords but let's give Him a reason to battle for us and ours.
Just angry and fustrated, what don't apply let it fly, these are just my thoughts

Are You an Enabler or Encourager?

"Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up." (I Thess. 5:11 NIV)

Friend To Friend
I have a friend who was known to constantly complain. She whined about her job, moaned about her husband and children, was bitter about the way her parents raised her, and was unhappy with life in general. Seemingly unable, or unwilling to stop the defeatism and negativity that surround her, her life was miserable. I would listen, murmuring platitudes, and sighing with her over her difficult life. This scenario played itself out over and over, week after week, month after month.

Then one day, God touched my heart and showed me this was not the way to reach her, to help her. I was enabling her negative behavior by just listening and nodding, and not encouraging the positive perspective she so desperately needed. Jeremiah 29:11 teaches us that we have a "hope and future". I was not reminding her of that. I realized that my behavior and attitude had to change in order for me to be Christ's hands and feet. I looked to God, and through the Holy Spirit and the Word, I was then able to minister to her more appropriately.

When this lovely young mom started speaking in a negative manner again, I knew what to say and could direct the conversation to a positive outlook. I would tell her, "Stop! Let's turn our focus to positive aspects in your life, and to how you can deal with the negative ones."

She is doing so much better now. Once I confronted the negative behavior and turned to God for His guidance and wisdom, He was able to help her. It is so wonderful to see her smiling now, and when she falters, she catches herself, and says "Oops! There I go again. Sorry."

Let's Pray
Dear Lord, touch me with Your Spirit, and speak through my voice. Let me touch and uplift others through my hands and my heart. Let me be guided by You, that I may better guide others.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.

More From The Girlfriends
Through this 'shepherding' role of being a listening friend, I learned so much about the difference in enabling and encouraging. We have to be aware all the time that Satan just loves it when he can get God's children confused as to how to they are to serve, and what they are to do when confronted with negative, defeated attitudes.

Begin in your own life. Identify and eliminate the footholds of negative thinking and speaking. Ask others to hold you accountable and to help you see when you are sliding into that old, destructive habit.

When I read this I imediately saw myself in it, I have one such friend that always sees the bad side of everything, sometime when I get off the phone with them I feel hopeless and depressed. It really takes a lot out of you to befriend such a person. Mose times I try to encourage them. But I realize this person don't want to be encouraged,for every encouraging word, they had a reason not to believe it, they were very happy in that fog of life. I am one that has fought depression that came from my blood line, I can not, will not allow anyone to take me back there with their foolishness, it wasn't easy and it lead me to an addiction. I love this person very much, but if a person don't want to be encouraged what can you do for them. I remember early in my addiction how I didn't want to be helped.But thank God for giving my family the knowledge of tough love. And to know when they could not help without bringing themself out of the peace of God. I don't want to sound uncaring but get over yourself, if you have issues deal with them go get the help you need. But in no way can you say "I know God and Believe in Him" and not be hopeful. If it's a medical problem or an inbalance thats something diffrent. But just because we have had some bad experiences don't stop in that dysfuction and set up your tent. And if you really want to be left alone then be alone and stop calling people with the doom and gloom. Come out of yourself and look at or help others, that really have a reason to be depressed but choose not to. Your feeling and issues are valied, but seek a solution in the love and power of God, He cares for you.

This in no way was written to anger or upset anyone, I needed to say this for myself. If you read something you can use, use it, if not let it fly.

HOLDING ON TIL GOD GETS BACK TO YOU

Have you ever found yourself in a trial that was not just for you. Married couples, Parents, anyone that is connected with another person. Sometime we go through the trial with others. Understand you will be blessed and learn something also,for a trial is to deepen our faith. But we don't know how long it is going to take the person that the trial is really intended for to come through or even how they will go through the trial.
Are they doing it in their flesh, in their own strength, are they screaming and kicking, clueless or have they surrendred and allowed God to do what He needs to do in them.

Well that is not really our concern, we have to let God deal with that. But we have to steadfast and hold on to God, and remember God got this. He will send us encouragement, strength and a support system while we waite. And unless God tells you to help or say something to the person we will have to close our mouth. not argueing with the person, tring to get them to see and hurry through this trial so it can hurry up and be over.

Let's remember what James said, James 1:2-4 When face with a trial of any kind consider it nothing but joy3because you know that the testing of faith produces endurance4and let endurance have it's full effect, so that you maybe mature and complete, lacking in nothing.
And isn't this what we want for our loved ones as well as for oursleves. Jame also tells us when we are faced with a trial to turn our hardship into a time of learning.
So you see we also benefite from a trial purposed for our loved ones.

The good news is, you're not out there alone, because no matter what the source of this trial is, God has the situation well in hand. He will work out His purposes even in a trial you may bring on yourself.

Be encouraged, surround yourself with other believers for inspiration, encouragement, spiritual strength and support while we wait.

This is a good time for us to show the love of Christ, 1Corinthians 13:4-8, Love suffers long [and] is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

13:5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
13:6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
13:8 Love never fails. But whether [there are] prophecies, they will fail; whether [there are] tongues, they will cease; whether [there is] knowledge, it will vanish away.

I pray this encourages someone, it's something I'm helping a loved one through,and this is what I'm learning.

I AM SAYING GOOD-BYE TO MY PAST

GOD SO GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED WHEN YOU NEED IT, YOU KNOW EVERY DAY I SEE HIS WORD IN ACTION. THE LAST WEEK OF AUG. IS A SORROWFUL WEEK FOR ME. AUG. 29 IS THE ANNIVERSARY OF ME AND MY HUSBAND, AUG 31 IS THE ANNIVERSARY OF MY HUSBANDS DEATH. THIS YEAR IT WAS 10YRS FOR HIS DEATH. BUT IT HIT ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS. MIND YOU THERE HAS BEEN SOME YEARS THAT I GOT THROUGH MOST OF THE DAY NOT REMEMBERING THE DAY. BUT THIS YR WAS LIKE THE FIRST YR. WELL AS I WAS GOING THROUGH MY DAY JUST LETTING MY FEELINGS OVER TAKE ME AND NOT WANTING COMFORT, FEELING I HAVE THE RIGHT TO EMERGE IN SORROW AND SELF PITY AFTER ALL "I'M A WIDOW" I REMEMBER MY DAUGHTER SAYING WHATS WRONG WITH YOU AFTER SEEING ME SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE COUCH STARING OFF, I SAID MY HUSBAND IS DEAD. SHE LOOKED AT ME AND SAID YOU JUST REALIZING THIS. KNOWING ME VERY WELL SHE IS THE ONE THAT WILL CALL ME OUT, SHE HAS THAT NO NONSENCE I FEEL YOUR PAIN BUT OH WELL, WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT, (AND SHE IS IN COLLEGE TO BE A SOCIAL WORKER HAHA) AS MY DAY WAS GOING ALONG, I HEAR GOD SAY THIS IS THE LAST TIME, A FEW WEEKS AGO I WAS REMEMBERING THAT IN OCT. I WILL HAVE 10YRS CLEAN TIME FROM CRACK, MY SISTER WANTS TO CELEBRATE THIS DAY, BECAUSE I WENT TO TREATMENT ON HER BIRTHDAY AFTER A 10YR BOUT WITH THIS DEMON CRACK. AND GOD SAID NO MORE COUNTING THE YEARS. I DID NOT KNOW AT THE TIME HE MENT ALL MY PAST. HE IS TELL ME THAT WAS THE PAST WE ARE FINISHED WITH THAT TIME I AM THE GOD OF THE HERE AND NOW AND THE FUTURE, WE HAVE NO TIME TO KEEP CELEBRATING WHAT WAS IT' TIME TO MOVE FORWARD. ROMANS 12, is a blue print of how we are suppose to Live so that our behavior would be worshipful to God. If we follow this example we will look and act like God. We may not be able to do this over night, as we know changing and serving God is a process. Just remember what Roman 12 says and everyday make a conscious decision that this is what I want to do and be, to Give Honor to God. I love this chapter, it is a very clear example of how we are suppose to behave like a christian. LOOKING IN THE MIRROR

There comes a time in every woman's life when she has to take a close look at herself. Not at her circumstance, not at what she did, not how unfair life is, or at who made you do it. She has to just look at herself in all her glory and imperfection. Have you ever admired a woman who has been through changes in her life? Or have you made up in your mind that she is just messed up. Before you make this mistake, take a closer look. A woman who has endured the most unusual life is someone of wisdom, someone who has been chosen by God to go through things that have made her stronger. Think of all the great women in the Bible: Mary Magdalene, Ruth and Naomi, the woman with an issue of blood, and Esther, to name a few. Mary was a prostitute, a very uneasy woman. But by the time Jesus was done with her, she was His closest follower.Esther was unfortunate in marrying an abusive man, but by the time God was done with her, she had married one of the wealthiest men in the land. Women are so quick to beat the next one down instead of trying to hold her up. Before you wonder, ' What's up with her?' ask yourself, 'What's up with me?' That woman could be my mother, sister, aunt, in-law, stepmother, niece, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, friend, or co-worker, etc. That woman could be ME. Women are the carriers of life, not the channels of death. Let's build and encourage each other, as did Ruth and Naomi . Pass this to all the women in your life. Encourage and love, forgive and forget, and trust that the woman that receives this will be touched in some way

Jesus said, "the people need more than bread for their life; they must feed on every word of God. Matthew 4:4 Now I am turning you over to God, our marvelous God whose gracious Word can make you into what He wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends Acts 20:32 Spiritual growth is the process of replacing lies with truth. The spirit of God uses the Word of God to make us like the son of God. To become like Jesus, we must fill our lives with His Word. Jesus prayed, "Sanctify [my followers] by the truth; Your word is Truth". John 17:17 Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. 2Timothy 3:17 Jesus said, The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life John 6:63 The truth is not always easy to hear, it's doesn't always agree with our wants or needs. But it is always necessary to have and hear.Never deney yourself the truth because no matter what the truth is we have a God that will walk us through it.

Steps Out of Anger by Dr. David C. Cooper We all have to deal with anger. So, how can we resolve anger? Here are five important steps to get out of the anger trap: Step 1: SORT IT OUT Try to understand why you are angry. Remember, there is a difference between the normal irritations in life and a persistent state of anger. Step 2: COUNT THE COST One of the predominant causes of divorce today is negative behavior such as unkind words, abuse and constant fighting. One psychologist says that an angry confrontation can erase 20 acts of kindness. The point is, anger can cost us dearly if we do not keep it in check. Step 3: LET IT OUT Release your anger to God in prayer. Tell God how you feel. He can handle it. Then go talk about it with a friend. Or, even the person you're angry at, if you can do it constructively. Whatever you do, don't keep your anger locked up in your heart. Repressed anger visits in a host of emotional and relational problems. Step 4: SET LIMITS That means to control your words and behavior. God tells us to get a grip on our tongues: "When words are many, sin is not absent. But he who keeps a tight rein on his tongue is wise" (Proverbs 10:19). Don't cross the line of verbal or physical abuse no matter how frustrated you get. Don't justify or excuse such abusive behaviors. Step 5: GIVE IT UP As Christians, we do not have the right to remain angry. In Christ, we have given up that right. We surrender our anger to Him and forgive others as He has forgiven us. When we forgive, we are free indeed. Free from resentment, bitterness, and anger. So, as we walk today through the mine field of relationships replete with misunderstandings, remember the word of God: "Be angry and sin not. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry (Ephesians 4:26).

KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN THE FIRE BECAUSE GOD PUT YOU THERE. YOU ARE NOT BOUND YOU ARE LOOSE, PRAISE AND WORSHIP GOD, WHILE YOU ARE GOING THROUGH. YOU CANNOT COME OUT UNTIL THE DEVIL LOOKS AT YOU AND SEE GOD ON YOU. GOD IS CHANGING YOU NOT THE ATMOSPHERE, THE SITUATION OR THE PEOPLE. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND ANYTHING THAT COMES YOUR WAY. BOW IN YOUR SPIRIT AND INVITE GOD IN THE FIRE WITH YOU. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH AND JUST THANK GOD. THANK HIM AS IF WHAT'S BAD IS THE BEST THING EVER HAPPENED TO YOU
