Where Have I Been

Folks I am disappointed in myself as much as I am sure you are disappointed in me. One of my New Year Resolutions this year, 2009, was to try and write a Post in my personal blog everyday! I have failed and I have failed miserably! I wnated to drop by everyday, even if it was to say, “Hi!”, and nothing else. Well, I am back on my horse and I hope to get this blog moving again with some thought provoking rants that I hope you will agree with or may not with agree with. Leave me a comment or two a we will all start a lively discussion. One topic I will bring up now and hope to write on this weekend is my feelings on term limits for our Federal Politicians, why I feel it is a great idea and what we need to do on a grassroots level to accomplish this task in either 2010 or 2012. More on this topic soon, very soon.

McCain Campaign Officials Clear Palin in Troopergate

Well here is a article that is non-partisan on Sarah Palin's Troopergate scandal . A report from the John McCain campaign clears Sarah Palin of any wrongdoing in the its own report on Troopergate. The report released on Thursday evening, October 9, 2008, states that Sarah Palin did nothing wrong in firing her state's Public Safety Commissioner, Walter Monegan in July 2008. Mr. McCain, do you really think the American people are stupid? Do you think the American people will believe your campaign's findings? I am sure some die-hard Republicans will, I was once one of these people until my Republican party nominated you, that one, John McCain, to represent us in the 2008 Presidential election. Mr. McCain do you really think the American people believe your report was done with nonpartisan investigators? Hate to break the news to you Mr. McCain, the American people are tired of your campaign's lies, attacks, and innuendos. Do everyone a favor and drop out of this race for the Presidency and try to save your dignity, if you have any left. Put your "Pit Bull" back in her crate and send her back to Alaska where she can potty in her own yard and not the American people's yard!!

Disgruntled Republican

I am going to do something in this years Presidential election that I never dreamed I would do or have to do. I will not be voting a straight Republican ticket. I never quite understood why voter’s would vote for one party for President and the opposite party for Senate and House of Representative. To me voting this way brings this country gridlock. The election in 2008 will make me do this scenario. The McCain/Palin ticket has me so upset, it is interfering with my Republican thought process. Why does John McCain keep telling lies about his opponent even after it is brought to his attention that what he is saying are complete fabrications. Why did John McCain pick a person with no national political experience, in Gov. Palin. There are cities in this country who have bigger budgets and more residents than Ms. Palin has in her whole state of Alaska. Why does John McCain not allow the press unfettered access to Ms. Palin like all other candidates have done in this election and in the past? Could it be Senator McCain knows Ms. Palin is not qualified and inexperienced? Why would a person that is 72 years old and has a long history with cancer pick someone with Ms. Palin’s qualifications and experience? Did John McCain really believe all of Hillary Clinton’s women voters would immediately jump ship and join the Republicans because of this move? If he truly believes this, I think John McCain has more medical issues than cancer, I believe he is in early stages of dementia.

Go Cubs Go

Finally… After being a Chicago Cubs fan for my whole life, 38+ years, I believe this could be the year we finally get to the World Series and win it all. I have watched on TV 100+ games this year and one thing I can say about this team over past teams is this team never quits, NEVER! I do not know what Lou Piniella does, but it seems like every team he has coached, he has turned them into winners. Remember when he was in Seattle and his team won a ton of games? They either won the most games ever by a team or is in 2nd place with the most wins by a team, I can’t remember, but he always seems to bring out winners. If Lou gets us to the promised land, he will be voted our 44th President in November 2008.
