As I reflect back on my childhood, I have to thank my parents (both successful entrepreneurs) for instilling in me the wherewithal to never give up on my ideas.
I can remember my first "lick", in laymen terms, in the black business project. It had to be 1988, Xclan was the hottest rap group on the scene. The entire youth community wanted to rock the Red, the Black, and the Green. Being the young innovator, my friend ( Randy Moore) and I came up with a plan. His mother had the doorway beads that all households back in the day placed in door frames for decoration. They just happen to be red, black, and green. Opportunity right. Each week we would cut down 1 string and make the neighborhood youth bracelets, necklaces, and anklets. We made a couple hundred dollars, until his mom questioned why she only had one string left.

PSM principle, stick with an idea while you can, but when the opportunity starts to fade, let go, take what you have learned and move on. The universe will send you another, you just have to be ready when it arrives.

Stay tune for more PSM moments.

Peace<img alt="BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. Some of the highlights of the evening was Patrick's research on the "Door of No Return" an the ancestors that walked through that corridor never returning

to their country again and " The Door of Return" during President' s visit to the shores in 2009.

This picture perfect delivery allowed the students in the audience to connect the history of African Americans to the present day realities across the world. Patrick concluded the evening to a standing ovation and multiple invites to other schools for forthcoming events from Superintendent Dr. Kevin Settle and Principal Dr. Patrick Rice.

This past Wednesday, i was afforded the opportunity to visit the academy in downtown Atlanta. From the initial view of the school, it gives you the appearance of a mini-university. The architectural improvements dispel the facts that the academy is housed in a once dilapidated factory building.

The day began with a short welcome and reminder of the guidelines while visiting the school ( no videoing of lessons, songs, or student interactions because that footage might go viral on the internet, i.e " You can have what ever you like!")

Once we headed to the school, we were greeted with the seemingly entire school body singing and dancing. To my surprise, there was Ron Clark singing and dancing and interacting with every visitor. You would kind of imagine that an individual that has achieved such success would be a little more aloof, but to all of our surprise he was right there and remained as an intricate part of our day at the academy.

Throughout the day we sat in Ron Clark's classes and witnessed some strategies, techniques, and uniqueness of the instructional methods. As an administrator, i was impressed with the students attentiveness and alertness throughout the class period of over and hour. One of the reason i observed was the frequent breaks through dancing, singing, and chanting. Such techniques are not difficult or imaginable, they just need to be implemented through ritual and routines.

In summation, what i picked up most from the school was the family atmosphere of all staff members. There was no sign of administrative hierarchy. And overall, the ideas were not some rare scientific breakthroughs. The school is a makeup of great teacher ideas that are backed by matching budgetary funds.

Good job Ron Clark Academy.

Stay tuned for my new book release, "How to get a private school education, in a public school setting!"

Mrs. Young-Sall was inspired to serve the shoeless population over twenty years ago after a family trip to Senegal, West Africa in the late 80’s.

“I was saddened by the living conditions in Senegal. In particular the enormous amount of men, women and children walking around barefoot,” Mrs. Young-Sall said.

According to the website of YES, Inc. (www.yesshoesinc.org), shoes are a rarity for people in the impoverished parts of Africa, Asia and South America to the point that some never have a new pair of shoes in their lives. Research by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that there are many hazards associated with going barefoot in contaminated soil, dirt water, and sand.

One of the most deadly is hookworm disease that can lead to parasitic infections in barefoot individuals. Parasites also breed in stagnant water in which many children swim and even drink from when necessary. If left untreated, these parasites can result in internal poisons, the loss of limbs, chronic illness and even death.

“As we prepared to depart to America from Senegal, my son asked if he could leave his shoes with his friends who didn’t have any,” said Mrs. Young-Sall. “This sparked the idea to start a shoe drive for the people of Senegal.”

Thus, the group launched the “Shoes for Africa” humanitarian project to collect new and gently-used shoes. Over the last five years alone, YES has collected and distributed over 35,000 pairs of shoes to Senegal. Donations to the project have been received from supporters in North America and as far as New Zealand.

“We have a warehouse in College Park that we store the donations. Volunteers help us sort them and then we shipped the shoes to our liaison in Senegal who oversees the distribution in the various villages,” said. Mrs. Young-Sall.

The initiative has also sparked several schools to get involved and launch their own shoe drives. Patrick S. Muhammad, an assistant principal, has built momentum in the Dekalb County public school system with a goal to ship 5,000 pairs of shoes through YES, Inc. by February 2010.

“The number of shoeless children in the world is a serious crisis. Children without shoes in Africa are even hindered from going to school due to diseases. I wanted to get our youth in America involved,” Mr. Muhammad said.

Before partnering with YES, Inc., Mr. Muhammad had authored the children’s book “Wear my shoes, please”. The book chronicles three illustrated African refugees who came to America sharing only one pair of shoes between them before eventually receiving a donation from a bully turned friend. The book is being used as a teaching tool in elementary schools in Illinois, Kentucky, Texas, New York, and Georgia

“Once I met Mrs. Young-Sall, we found that my book was a perfect match with their project. So we started working together,” said Mr. Muhammad, who also owns RATHSI publishing company.

To date Mr. Muhammad’s network of schools has collected over 2,000 shoes. One of the schools utilizing the book and participating in the shoe drive is The Elevated Places located in Missouri City, Texas.

“I truly wanted the students to take part in this project to expand their perception of community service. Our job is to prepare our children for service on a global scale,” says Wakiti Muhammad, co-director of The Elevated Places. The school has collected over 200 pairs so far.

“We Americans can be very materialistic. We have an immense amount of everything because we overindulge in ourselves and don't think about our community,” says Aishah Muhammad, 8th grader.

Ayinde Muhammad added that “in places like Africa, many don't have access to basic needs such as food, shelter, or even clean water. It is our duty to help those who can't help themselves.”

(Jesse Muhammad is a journalist and blogger based in Houston, Texas. We have been extremely busy writing several books. Our latest book was released on yesterday, Wear My Shoes, Please! This touching children's book journeys through the eyes of three refugee siblings from Africa. The students come to the states for a better education, but run into an American bully. Through perseverance, determination, and shear ambition, the siblings prevail. Pick up this book today for those children in your life who are striving to be more than ordinary. Purchase the book at www.rathsipublishing.com or www.patricksmuhammad.com

Comedian, Actor, Entrepreneur, & Radio Host, Steve Harvey, gives women an in-depth look into the interpersonal conversations men have with themselves regarding their relations with women.
As a man, I read the book from a different point of view. This book also has another benefit that the media has missed. For me, this book has given me a road map for guiding my daughter and her future relations with men. While the media is focusing on the mature female audience, don’t forget about those young impressionable girls that become the naive women that fall for the ‘gaming’ man. Imagine a young lady who has mastered the Ninety Day Rule, How to Spot a mama’s boy & the Five Question Test. Young ladies with these skills and techniques will be better prepared to search for that ideal counterpart.
If you have not picked up this book yet, I recommend you go online now to www.patricksmuhammad.blogspot.com and purchase it today. It’s time to Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man or as I have renamed it Think Like A Man & Guide Your Young Lady.
For more information on book reviews, log onto www.patricksmuhammad.blogspot.com or www.rathsipublishing.com.
Patrick S. Men have become relegated to non-committal relationships. While society encourages the promiscuity of male and female, one particular power supersedes the sway of the populist. This is the influence of GOD and his institution of Marriage.

When a man and a woman stand before GOD and utter those most sacred words of " I do", that man and woman are stating their intentions. I do plan to stay with you until death does us part; I do plan to stay with you through sickness and health; I do plan to stick by you through riches and poor. While these intentions are good, they require intentional effort, particularly for men.

In my forthcoming book, How Not to Cheat on Your Wife: A Success Guide for the Faithful Husband, I discuss the tools necessary to fulfill a husbands obligation to GOD, His Wife, His Family, and Himself. This book will give men the prescriptions for a healthy and fruitful marriage with the woman you told "I do".

How Not to Cheat on Your Wife, will also provide wives with the antibiotics necessary to guard their husbands away from the virus of infidelity. This book is a remedy to decades of discomfort in the minds of married couples.

Below is a sneak peak at some of the chapters covered in the book:

The Forgotten vs. The Forbidden Chase
Is the grass really greener on the other side?
If you like it that much, bring it home!
How to flirt with your Wife?
No, you tell the kids!
& more.

Stay tuned to my blog and log onto the website for the release date of How Not to Cheat on Your Wife: A Success Guide for the Faithful Husband.

http://www.patricksmuhammad.com/ & http://www.rathsipublishing.com/

You enter the location and are greeted by an armed security officer with a bad attitude. You go to the counter to complete your transaction through a 5 inch bullet proof glass. The receptionist has a terrible disposition and pay you little attention. If you ask any additional question outside of those to handle that specific transaction, you are likely to receive the 'Sista' with an attitude response. Now just think, you came into this location to pay a bill, buy an item, or purchase dinner.

What if you enter the location and you were greeted by a pleasant host. She welcomes you to the place of business and ask if she could be of immediate assistance. She provides you with new information to make your time easier at the place of business and volunteers to guide you through. When you leave, the host greets you by name.

With these two different experience, you will have no hesitation in going into the second place of business. The first place of business you might not ever go into again.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad has provided a guide to handle these and many other situations properly. The author, Patrick S. Muhammad, has taken Mr. Muhammad's guide and compiled a service industry book entitled, " Mr. Muhammad's Guide to The Proper Handling of People in Business, Education, & Leadership.

This book is in high demand and a must read for anyone in the service industry. This book will increase your people- to- people relationships, increase revenue generated at your place of business, and create a productive work environment.

Stay tuned to this blog for tips that will guide you into The Proper Handling of People.

This assignment wiil assist you in reaching your goals in 2009 and make those resolutions you put on paper a reality this year.
Step 1.Pick up your local newspaper and look in the home section. Look for the open house viewings of homes $1 million dollars and up. Find out what time the viewing are. Go to the viewing with the understandment that you have the money in your pocket to pay for the home in cash. Don't limit your thinking by discouraging your mind with negative thoughts. Walk through the house taking mental pictures that you will store in your minds database.
Step 2. Find a building downtown of your respective city(preferably a skyscrapper). Identify the offices in that building that are vacant. Call the leasing office and schedule a viewing. Go to the viewing with the mindset to plan the layout of your multi-million dollar generating office. Visualize how you will use this space to create your freedom. Remember no cameras only mental pictures.
Step 3. On your next lunch break, go down to your ideal vehicle dealership( no hondas) how about Rolls Royce. Walk in to the desk an identify the vehicle you would like to Test Drive. Get in the vehicle, adjust the mirror to you specs, adjust the seat and stering wheel, put on your sunglasses and take it for a spin. Remember no cameras only mental pictures.

After you complete steps 1-3 in that order, start drawing what you saw. Without much effort you will be able to sketch the home, office, and vehicle. Unlike other times when you dreamed of these accomplishments you had no reference points to envision. Now you can see your dreams and guess what( you can now see yourself in them because you placed yourself in them).

Don't hesistate on completing these steps, remember, " as a man thinketh, so is he". What are you thinking Now. That's right you do lokk good in your home, office, and vehicle.

Peace

There is a predestined power behind the practice of thinking. Yes it seems simple, however, you are robbing yourself of success. How is the power predestined?

Everything you will ever do, become, or attempt is part of a bigger plan. This plan is layed out for all of us. Depending on what kind of effort you put forth in fulfilling the plan determines what additional powers you can gain access to. You have to understand that the most successful people in history and the current realities tap into the same power you have access to, you just haven't tapped in. Successful people take time to THINK.

Thinking is a very powerful skill or talent or gift. Some people you would say think well on their feet. True, but I'm talking in-depth, internal, life altering thinking. I'm talking change your reality, condition, and future type thinking. There is Nothing that has ever been done without it first being a thought.

Pause for one second and let me give you some juice for 2009.

Remember a couple of months ago I talked about how the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that thought travels at 24 billion miles per second. I talked about what happens if you don't capture that thought when it comes to you that someone else when catch it. All that true, but let me give you a secret (shhhhhh!!!). By taking time out to think intensly, you can catch those thoughts that onced passed you by. Yes. OK this is kind of heavy so put on your seat belt. If you think a tape recorder, computer, or any other storage device is greater than you, that's why your missing your mark.

The human is the prototype of all these electronic aids. Your brain records "everything". Nothing gets by Gods greatest creation not even missed thoughts. Now, when you are ready to take your life to that pre destined level, sit back, get quiet and think.I'm not talking just think and be rich, I'm talking think and be God-Like.

Peace

When was the last time you turned off your cell phone, television, and Internet? When was the last time you got in the car or plane with no rushed destination?

Everyday, Every Month, & Every Year that we live in the hustle and bustle of "trying to make it", we will not make it. The lives we live rob us of the creative thoughts that flee our minds due to the clutter that clogs our lives.

Have you ever wondered why many in our communities are born in a location, raised in that location, work in that location, and die in that location? That's because they never left that location. This leaving does not only have to be physical. No time has ever been borrowed from the hectic life to reflect on that life. You have to slow down and often stop to have an "out of body" experience to look at the life we are living. Remember, doing the same thing, the same way is the definition of insanity.

This is what separates our community from other communities in the world. Recreation vs. Re- Creation. Recreation is time used to occupy time with frivolous activity that pauses the hectic life, only to return to the hectic life as soon as the recreation is over. Re- Creation is creating an atmosphere were the life is evaluated, re-charged, and re-created. New ideas are formed, new direction is mapped, and time stands still.

As 2008 closes, make time. Get in your car or a plane, go as far as you can go. Turn off your cell phone, computer, and anything else of distraction. Find a beach or nice hotel room, close yourself off to the world and open your mind to what God wants to say to you or guide your life in a new direction.

PS. Have you ever wondered why other nationalities have beach front property, vacation homes, time share, boats, sea does, annual vacations, etc.

We are going for recreation, their going for Re- Creation!!

Make 2009 your year to RE- CREATE Yourself.

Why are you talking about doing something you can do with a little effort. The only unsuccessful person on the earth is the one who doesn't try to be successful. If God used his valuable time to place the idea in your head, then he destroyed the impossibility of the idea becoming reality. What you benefit repeating it over and over again. Your friends are tired of hearing about what you are going to do. You've talked so much about, people are finishing your sentences, turning the deaf ear, and outright dismissing your intelligence. If you spent half of the energy you are using to talk about the idea into doing it, you would be successful overnight!

PS. Little did you know that you would have to overcome such odds to exist. What was in the head of that germ of life that it resisted the temptation to quit like the other 299,999,999? If you could have a conversation with that level of intelligence, what would that life say to you?
"Against all odds, I pressed on. I knew there was no opportunity for a second chance. I knew this is my moment. The only choice I had was success or failure, life or death!" With odds such as these, the life germ has to look for the leader within to continue life itself.Only the strong survive is an understatement. Only 1 survives.
What obstacles in life have you not taken the same mentality as the life germ? What goals have you aborted the mission on? What excuses have you used to justify that the odds are against you? Nothing that you go through in life will be more challenging that what your germ of life has already overcome. No odds you will face are not in your favor. You can accomplish what you WILL.
Let this message awaken the drive, spirit, and determination that lives inside of you. Let your life germ be re-ignited to challenge the false obstacles blocking your path. Get up today and take on the attitude of that which gave you life. You are the best, the righteous, and the powerful.

Peace

From the moment that infant takes that first breath of life, the inquiry begins. The child waste no time observing their environment and deciphering the nuances of life. The infant explores with its hands, communicates with its mouth, and stabilizes itself with its feet. In one years time, the infant learns a language, learns how to walk, learns how to manipulate items with its hands, and even knows how to make friends. While things may seem insignificant to an adult who has forgotten those formative years, this growth set the foundation for all future growth.
Compared to infant speed, what growth has you life experienced? Has the comment,"I'm gonna" controlled your destiny? Has your life's journey become stagnate? Compared to how much personal advancement the infant gained, what are your gains? Too often, we have buried or dreams, goals, aspirations, and mission for the sake of a job, exclusive friendship or lack thereof, nearness to others dreams, or just plain LAZY. If the infant had our mentality, it would never become a toddler,pre-teen, teenager, and/ or adult.
What progress have you made over the last year, two years, five years, or even ten years? Using a bar graph, is your life going up and to the right or the opposite. You must mentally chart and pace your life to evaluate your Net Worth to God. God needs people who are productive and growing themselves to better serve humanity. God has no use for human leeches.
Pick up the pace of your life and make progress like that infant you once were.

He has really been in a supreme mood the last couple of miracles. He just gave the family in front of you the Presidency, First Ladyship, & First Children of America. The man in that family stated all he did was made sure he held his spot in line until his name was called. You are the next person in line.
What could God possibly bless you with? You begin to ponder the possibilities, the desires of your heart, and the fantasy of your mind. It's getting close, a voice comes over the loud speaker and tells the next person in line to prepare for your miracle from God.
All of a sudden, someone jips you in line. What are they thinking? I've been standing in this line all my life, how dare you jip me. You put your hands up to fight this rude individual from blocking your miracle. At that moment, the voice speaks from the loud speaker, you must qualify yourself for positions that await you. The voice informs you that the miracle that was next in line, you hadn't prepared yourself to receive it. He informs you that even though you are next in line, you will continue to get jipped or passed over until you prepare yourself for God's miracle. We are all next in line, however only those that prepare themselves and stay in line will receive the next miracle God has in store to bless you with. Start today and prepare yourself for miracles that are awaiting.

You have so much to accomplish today and not enough time to get it all done. If only you could extend the day to 32 hours per day. Nevertheless, you off and running. You have just completed 3 of the 30 agenda items for the day. You are envisioning success if you can just complete all of these task today. UH OH, you forgot to pay a bill, let the dog out, pay on your children's lunch at school. Now your day is shot. You have to pause all of your agenda items to focus on the things you forgot to do.
Let's step back. What if you started the day with silence. Just a few moments to thank God for another day of life. When you slow down your agenda, then God can share with you his agenda. When you slow down, God can speak to you and you have slowed down to hear him. God wants us to be busy, but busy on his assignment for us.
Just think if you focus on God's agenda, you can accomplish your agenda at GOD speed.
