Foreign woman assaulted in 'New Egypt' arab spring revisited

Not much has changed in the new Egypt. The military refuses to relinquish control of the government, the radical islamists such as the muslim brotherhood have now gained over 75% of the seats in the new government.

The situation for women overall in egypt continues to get worse: "Instances of sexual assaults on female journalists covering the events in Tahrir Square have continued in the year since Mubarak’s ouster.

According to studies conducted by the Egyptian Center for Women’s Right (ECWR) in 2008, 98 percent of foreign women and 83 percent of Egyptian women surveyed had experienced sexual harassment in Egypt.

Meanwhile, 62 percent of Egyptian men confessed to harassing women and 53 percent of Egyptian men faulted women for “bringing it on.”

When award-winning Egyptian-American columnist Mona el-Tahawy detailed a horrific sexual assault by Egypt police on her personal Twitter account after she was detained for nearly 12 hours in Cairo on November 24, the debate about sexual violence in the square became reignited.

The muslim brotherhood and like minded islamists, who worship allah, his perverted messenger mohammad, would not want this situation changed in any way. Their goal is to see all the Middle East ruled and controlled by sharia law. It is just one more stepping stone on the way to islam establishing a global islamic caliphate.

Foreign woman stripped of clothes, assaulted, in Egypt’s Tahrir Square

CAIRO: A foreign woman was stripped and sexually assaulted on Wednesday evening in Egypt’s iconic Tahrir Square, one eyewitness said on Twitter and another confirmed in an email to Bikyamasr.com.

The woman, who’s identity has not been revealed, was taken away in an ambulance after being assaulted for 10 minutes. Her husband reportedly was unable to intervene and witnessed the incident.

“I saw the woman and then dozens of men surrounded her and started grabbing her, when she screamed for help some people came, but they were hit in the face,” wrote one witness.

What happened next was “appalling,” said the trusted witness, who asked for anonymity. “The men just started tearing at her clothes and grabbing her body all over. When she fought back, they pushed her. It was chaos.”

There were unconfirmed reports that the men “violated” her with their hands.

The nationality of the woman is unknown at the current time.

Throughout the day, sexual harassment towards women has been increasing and more and more reports of women being grabbed and groped began being reported.

Activists called the attacks on women completely “unacceptable” and must be exposed no matter what. They demanded an end to all violence toward women.

“What happened in Tahrir today has no justification and must be fully exposed even if it taints Tahrir!” wrote EgyptSecularist on Twitter.

The incident brings memories of reporter Lara Logan, who was sexually assaulted the night former President Hosni Mubarak gave up power.

A mob of men ripped the 40-year-old correspondent away from her crew and bodyguard, tearing at her clothes and beating her in broad daylight.

“People don’t really know that much about [post-traumatic stress disorder],” she told the New York Daily News in her latest interview on the incident. ”There’s something called latent PTSD. It manifests itself in different ways. I want to be free of it, but I’m not.”

In an interview with “60 minutes” in April, Logan spoke publicly about the incident for the first time. She confided that the attack lasted for about 25 minutes, as 200 to 300 men assaulted her. She feared for her life and imagined that she would not survive, she explained.

Logan was finally pulled to safety by an Egyptian woman and a soldier who witnessed the attack.

She and her team were brought back to their hotel, where she received an examination and medical treatment. She returned to the United States the following morning where she entered hospital for four days.

Logan confided in her latest interview that nightmares about the incident come at unexpected times, like when she is tucking her infant daughter into bed.

Instances of sexual assaults on female journalists covering the events in Tahrir Square have continued to increase in the year since Mubarak’s ouster.

'Strict Muslim' raped four women at knifepoint-England

As my friend commented on this horrendous crime committed by a devout and pious muslim; "Headline says it all."

Indeed and in this case, the headline does state all of it about this tragedy.

What is really amazing(at least to me) is that the headline identifies the culturally enriched minority, a muslim and that he is a very devout muslim raised in a very strict muslim home, and a greater muslim environment.

Perhaps the climate is really starting to change across the pond in exposing islam for what it truly is. A 7th century political and social ideology that ensures women are treated like dirt, persecution and death await the non-believers or those who follow a TRUE religion, which islam is not.

Sunny Islam (something rather tragic about his name as there is NOTHING sunny about or within islam!) took it upon himself to punish these women. Their crime? Being out at night. Did Islam think he was doing the will of allah or perhaps he was thinking this is what mohammad would have done? My bet is on both as Mr. Islam is the result of strict muslim life from a very young age that equates to being brainwashed on the superiority of men in every area of life under strict islamic sharia law.

This pervert and rapist gets only eleven years? That is another travesty these women have to live with. Islam deserves to be castrated and his genitalia tossed tossed into the ocean or fed to pigs. Sunny deserves to NEVER SEE or TASTE FREEDOM AGAIN for his entire life. After all, the women that he victimized will never know freedom.

This is the way, the only way the crimes that are spawned from islam and sharia law should be reported and exposed. The world must know and we must fight back. There is no arab spring, only arab winters released from the pits of hell.

There is no peace within islam and with islam there can NEVER be peace!

A Muslim man who raped women to 'teach them a lesson' for being on the streets at night was jailed indefinitely today because of the danger he poses to women.

Sunny Islam, 23, who comes from a strict Muslim family, dragged his terrified victims - including a 15-year-old - from the street at knifepoint, bound and assaulted them during a two-month reign of terror.

Police fear that Islam may have attacked many more.

Three of the assaults took place close to his home in Barking, east London, while a fourth occurred in nearby Forest Gate.

Judge Patricia Lees, sentencing him to a minimum of 11 years, said: 'The harm you have done to your victims is incalculable.

'The nature and extent of these offences drives me to the conclusion that you represent an extreme and continuing danger to women, particularly those out at night.'

He was traced through the number plate of his girlfriend's car after he kidnapped and raped the 15-year-old in September 2010.

He grabbed her from behind as she walked home with a friend and bundled her into the car at knifepoint before driving to a secluded spot where he raped her twice despite her claiming she was only 11 years old.

Judge Lees said: 'You told her you were going to "teach her a lesson", and similar things were said to the other women.

'Those words are a chilling indictment of your very troubling attitude towards all of these victims.

'You seem to observe women out at night as not deserving respect or protection.

She said: 'He treated me like an animal and made me feel worthless - I thought I was going to die.'

Six days later, in Forest Gate, he struck again on a 28-year-old when he dragged her into his car and forced her to commit a sex act.

She managed to kick out the back window of his car and escape despite being throttled.

Notice the smug and arrogant look on the face of the first muslim illegal alien potus.

President Obama arrived in Phoenix at 3:15 pm local time, finding the chilly weather of Iowa giving way to sunny skies and temperatures in the high 60s.

He stepped off Air Force One at 3:28 pm and was greeted by Gov. Jan Brewer. She handed him a handwritten letter in an envelope and they spoke intensely for a few minutes. At one point, she pointed her finger at him.

Afterwards, your pooler spoke with the governor.

"He was a little disturbed about my book, Scorpions for Breakfast. I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president. The book is what the book is. I asked him if he read the book. He said he read the excerpt. So."

Asked what aspect of the book disturbed him, Brewer said: "That he didn't feel that I had treated him cordially. I said I was sorry he felt that way but I didn't get my sentence finished. Anyway, we're glad he's here. I'll regroup."

On the letter, she said it was personal letter asking him to sit down with her to discuss the "Arizona comeback."

She said she "reiterated an invitation that I've extended to him before with regards to coming to arizona and going to the border with me." She said she would take him to lunch.

"We've had a remarkable comeback here and I want to share that with him."

She said the president brought up the book.

"I thought we probably would've talked about the things that were important to him and important to me, helping one another. Our country is upside down. Arizona was upside down. But we have turned it around. I know again that he loves this country and I love this country."

It was clear from the moment they greeted one another that this would not be a run-of-the-mill encounter between the president and a local official. At one point, she was pointing her finger at him and at another, they were talking at the same time, seemingly over each other.

He appeared to walk away from her while they were still talking, and she confirmed that by saying she didn't finish her sentence.

When Brewer spoke with your pooler, the AP and an NBC producer for several minutes afterwards, she appeared a bit flustered and taken aback by the conversation. Asked if she was, that's when Brewer said, "I'll regroup."

Obama's uncle Saul(Alinsky)

Saul Alinsky. Just the mention of his name is enough to raise my blood pressure and make me very 'agitated.' In Alinsky's Rules for Radicals he penned what he thought were the basic building blocks of socialist, radical rules on how to get what is not yours or "for the Have-Nots on how to take it away."

Alinsky, obama, I do not see much difference between the two.

Our LSM is so far in the tank for obama they are looking out their back ends to see any daylight at all. Look for the LSM to ratchet up the use of Rule number five as we go deeper into the election year. obama and his minions, soros, moore have been and will continue to use this rule every chance they get. All of these traitors, who, by the way and VERY WEALTHY have no problem using their money to take from all the rest of us, to give to the have-nots in our society.

Newt Gingrich was 100% correct in going after King during the debate. Conservatives MUST take off the gloves and start fighting back to expose the liberals and traitors for what they truly are; those who want to take from ALL OF US and give it to those poor downtrodden have-nots and ruin our country in the process.

What LBJ started with his 'Great Society' is alive and well in a very sick sort of way. We are paying a steep price for not fighting back and drawing blood at every turn.

Barack Obama will have untold amounts of money at his disposal when he faces the eventual nominee. He will spend a great deal of that money implementing Alinsky’s method rule number five; it’s part of his wiring. It’s simply not enough for the Republican Party to nominate a person who can neutralize rule number five; it needs someone who can reverse its intended effect."

How Gingrich Is “Newtralizing” Alinsky Method Rule Number Five

When Newt Gingrich scolded CNN’s John King at the South Carolina debate, he didn’t just stand up to the media; he smacked down the Saul Alinsky method. When a candidate does that, he can deliver a knockout blow to Barack Obama, Alinsky’s prized ideological protege.

Take a look at Rule number five of the Alinsky method in Rules for Radicals, which states:

Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

This is exactly what King attempted to do by bringing up the charges made by Newt’s ex-wife in an interview with ABC’s Brian Ross. Did King infuriate Gingrich by asking the question right out of the gate? Yes. Did Gingrich react to King’s advantage? Absolutely not. He channeled the fury of conservatives and delivered a counterattack squarely on the jaw of a liberal media bully; King had been stunned in epic fashion.

Conservatives know that the mainstream media is running interference for Barack Obama while attempting to portray objectivity. Gingrich exposed this dynamic thoroughly and with perfect timing, by making the charge as that reality was on full display for all to see. He connected the dots as the offense was being committed. The more King attempted to hit Gingrich, the more forcefully the former was beaten back by the latter.

One day after the debate, another CNN reporter – Erin Burnett – attempted to wound Gingrich with Rule number five of the Alinsky method. She asked him to respond to charges that he was hypocritical by going after president Bill Clinton in the 1990′s during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, while he was committing similar indescretions. The question was intended to trap Gingrich but it did the opposite; his response made Burnett look foolish for not seeing the clear line of distinction. Clinton committed a felony by perjuring himself; Gingrich did no such thing. Burnett wilted and reacted to Gingrich’s advantage.

The “Dis-Integration” of America ― Part I

This is the first essay in the series "The “Dis-Integration” of America" by Zenster.

Zenster has one of the sharpest, keenest, intellectual minds I have had the pleasure of meeting in my life.

Before anyone starts tossing out names and accusations in regard to this outstanding essay, towards the author, myself or this site, make sure you read the ENTIRE essay. Watch the Jared Taylor video. Some of you may be offended by the use of certain words Zenster has chosen to use. Remember this, the word nigger in this essay is used by the so called liberal, far left champion for the minorities, Lyndon Baines Johnson. If you are horrified or oh so politically correct, multitculturally inclined and over diversified to get rattled by the use of such words to make a point about liberal policies, then please do yourself a favor and leave now. I would not want the truth to cause anyone any harm.

LBJ was responsible for the social engineering experiment he called 'The Great Society' which was nothing more than the rape and plundering of the very successful middle class of America. Through excessive inflationary tactics like flooding the country and the globe with the printing of currency, a silent war was started against the middle class that is still being waged today by the likes of obama and his administration of haters and anti-Semites.

The “Dis-Integration” of America ― Part I

It was not just a misplaced sense of egalitarianism but greed, in both its financial and political forms, that drove early desegregation.

The Dawn of Big Government

Lyndon B. Johnson and the Democratic Party’s “Great Society” programs represented social engineering on a scale unseen since Roosevelt’s New Deal, which was just another Democratic boondoggle.

America’s New Deal focused on the "3 Rs" of Relief, Recovery, and Reform. Among its reforms was one of the most detrimental economic strategies imaginable and it was instrumental for the “Great Society” ― with its “War on Poverty” ― to become a reality. This reformation was a shift off of the Gold Standard which allowed the U.S. government to print fiat currency, a crippling addiction that it has not shaken to this very day.

Instead, by printing fiat currency the Federal government has waged a devastating economic war upon its population’s most productive segment, the Middle Class. Being among America’s most diligent savers, inflating the currency supply had a direct effect of looting from Middle Class savings and retirement accounts that which could not be extracted through increased taxes. This is because tax increases were rather routinely opposed by the Middle Class whose conservatism tended to favor small government.

Had the Gold Standard remained in effect, it is questionable as whether the Democratic Party could ever have financed the massive welfare state it then sought to bring about. The damage done to America by this social engineering was not confined to creating a totally dependent class of tax consumers. This push for equal rights would see the abandonment of America’s space exploration and an unheralded diversion of funds into Liberal Socialist programs that bore every prospect of dwarfing the New Deal in both scope and magnitude.

While the New Deal had an adjusted cost of $557 billion (2011), it dealt with the entirety of American society save only the very most wealthy. The “Great Society” was focused largely upon those dwelling below the poverty line, which was some 22% of Americans in 1965. Therefore, its adjusted cost of $344 billion (2011) would require an approximate multiplier of 4.5 times were it to have addressed the majority of Americans in an equal manner. This would make the “Great Society” programs cost some $1.548 trillion (2011), far in excess of the New Deal and surpassed only by one other expenditure. To put this in perspective, the combination of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid took up 43 percent of our national budget in 2010.

As it stands, the future costs of existing New Deal programs sees America facing a standing bill totaling some $50 trillion dollars. Nor was this lingering debt something that could not have been anticipated, even back then. In 1920 the Civil Service Retirement System was started and it soon required taxpayer-funded supplements to meet payments for retired federal employees. From the linked article:

Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin explains LBJ's approach, "The subjects might change, but the essentials remained the same: in the opening, an expression of dire need; in the middle, a vague proposal; in the end, a buoyant description of the anticipated benefits--all contained in an analysis presented in a manner that often failed to distinguish between expectations and established realities ... Pass the bill now, worry about its effects and implementation later--this was the White House strategy." [emphasis added]

All of which is highly reminiscent of the strategy used by South Park’s underpants gnomes.

It is sad to see just how little change there has been over the last half century with respect to America’s planning and enactment of large scale social programs. Despite repeated and clear demonstrations of federal incompetence, a new generation of US voters is being persuaded that their government is capable of managing corporate enterprises where it has absolutely no charter to do so.

The Origins of “Hate Crimes”

Aside from renewed large-scale federal spending, the “Great Society” programs also set in motion anti-discrimination laws which would serve as the cornerstone for today’s Politically Correct “hate speech” and “hate crime” laws. These modern Thoughtcrime laws found their footing in the Fair Housing Act of 1968.

A principal thrust of this legislation was to remove all legal enforcement of restrictive housing covenants that previously assured neighborhood racial cohesiveness. In doing so, the Fair Housing Act institutionalized unequal protection under the law by creating seven protected classes. These categories were: race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, and familial status.

Little did many expect that this relatively innocuous piece of legislation might serve as part of a lever that would one day drive the most massive default in American history. The cherished “American Dream” would be forcibly wedged into a government equation that had long ago stopped being about individual “pursuit of happiness” and equality of opportunity in favor of equality of outcome and mandated entitlement. Few, at that time, stopped to remember Gerald Ford’s uncharacteristically prescient words:

”A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.”

And give the Federal government did. Between 1945 and 1960 large numbers of federally subsidized home loans were financed through the FHA (Federal Housing Administration) and VA (Veterans Administration).

Redlining

The Federal government refused to back mortgages in “racially changing” (i.e., “redlined”), localities due to them being regarded as higher risk propositions. Thus was de facto segregation enforced by law and it provided largely White loan recipients with a solid taste of how crime-free such neighborhoods could be.

It is a small wonder that Whites so vigorously resisted newly mandated laws regarding home sales which only served to devastate this once Elysian setting. This will soon bring us to the role that financial greed played in destroying much of the urban “American Dream”. First, however, it is necessary to examine the other side of Big Government’s segregation coin.

The Not-So Civil Rights Act

Another “Great Society” program was the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This sweeping response to Jim Crow violated Constitutional freedoms with respect to both right of association, management-employee relations and the ability of States to determine their own racial policies under the Tenth Amendment. Many Republicans opposed this fundamental bias contained by the Civil Rights Act, something that probably even cost Barry Goldwater the 1964 presidential election.

A bare few managed to foresee that this sort of obligatory socialization would create an over-reliance by minorities upon government mediation in what were largely public affairs of individual choice. Conversely, these same “protected classes” also began to automatically presume upon their protection as a form of entitlement. This sense of prerogative was only further augmented by a lavish program of welfare benefits that would, in reality, serve to create an entire a near-permanent underclass of multi-generation urban dwellers that were wholly dependent upon government ― in reality, taxpayer ― largesse.

While the United States Housing Act of 1937 made provisions for government sponsored assistance to low income families and individuals, this did not come into its own until 1965 with the Section 23 Leased Housing Program. It was further amended in 1974 to create the now familiar Section 8 housing program.

Massive inner city housing projects served to cluster together poverty-line residents and became a breeding ground for some of the most concentrated urban crime activity ever seen at that time. The swift decline of living conditions in these gigantic housing blocks only served to aggravate public perception of them as warehouses for drug addicts and street thugs. Conversely, these aggregations of low income residents also created a sort of de facto segregation.

Paradise Lost

Such urban housing projects were notorious for being predominately Black in population. This bunching together of Blacks engendered a proliferation of mannerisms, patois and what can only be called “social rituals” that tended to create an artificial “culture” which derived from what were mostly impoverished circumstances. Attempts by Blacks to enshrine so-called “Ebonics” is a prime example of this.

A useful comparison is how American Black “Soul Food” ― similar with respect to many other peasant culture cuisines ― was, in reality, a reflection of the inadequate nutritional resources made available to slaves at that time. While glorified in this modern era as a genuine artifact of early slave culture it, nonetheless, does not represent a truly healthful or nourishing bill of fare. Perhaps, even more ironic, is the simple fact that a low-calorie regimen of traditional “Soul Food” would better serve many typically obese American Blacks than the sugary and fattening fast-food diet they often seem to prefer.

So it was that the atmosphere in many urban housing projects cultivated a crop of highly negative behavioral modes that weren’t being reinforced so much by supposedly “oppressive” external influences than voluntary internal ones.

The Dream

This was the fertile ground encountered by much of America’s late century “Black Power” movement that was largely responsible ― along with other Culturally Marxist mindsets ― for embedding a strong sense of victimhood and entitlement now currently in evidence among many urban Blacks. This largely unwarranted sense of entitlement only promised to grow and spread into other parts of the population.

The Reality

Unbeknownst at the time both to Liberals and Conservatives alike, these gargantuan apartment blocks and Section 8 housing programs were, perhaps, America’s first genuine glimpse of how Liberal Socialist intentions would just as often pave a road straight to hell.

Blockbusting

Enter rapacious real estate agents and the unsavory but lucrative practice of “blockbusting”. Frequently, several small realtors would pool funds in order to finance the purchase of a dwelling in a predominantly White neighborhood specifically so that it could then be sold to a Black or minority family. This prompted an immediate exodus by White residents in an attempt to dodge the certain decline in property values that would so often follow. This allowed these same disreputable realtors to then “flip” all of the remaining homes; often at handsome profits as anxious White owners sacrificed hard earned equity for the sake of a swift sale.

Through construction of inner city housing projects and gradual dismantling of urban residential areas through blockbusting, there arose the phenomenon that SBPDL has accurately labeled as “Black Undertow”. It is an almost irresistible force that has already seen once great cities like Detroit reduced to the status of Third World living standards. Nearly all Black run cities and counties reflect this trend.

Most ironic of all is how so many of these government efforts at forcing racial harmony are not just spectacularly unsuccessful but that they can actually serve to worsen tensions. There is no Constitutional law that forbids an individual from being racist. Only public condemnation can serve to chastise such a stance. Instead, through the Civil Rights Act and its Fair Housing Program, America’s government had sought to legislate morality. It is a Sisyphean task and one which government has no legitimate part in.

How strange is it that modern America is just as segregated today as it was half a century ago? Jared Taylor at American Renaissance had this to say: (Video time point ― 06:06)

“White people say they’re all in favor of integration and yet there is a profoundly important act of integration that they could undertake but they almost never do. A White person could buy a house in a Black neighborhood. Nowadays there are plenty of middle class Black neighborhoods where a White person would be perfectly safe. But not even the most Liberal Whites will take that basic integrationist step. Despite what they say they, too, prefer the company of Whites. Just as I do.

Were you aware that the statistics for residential segregation in the United States are almost identical to what they were fifty or sixty years ago? Despite all of the encouragement and propaganda in favor of mixing of the races, Whites prefer to live with Whites and Blacks prefer to live with Blacks, Asians… Hispanics … there is self-segregation virtually across the board.”

Clearly, government mandated desegregation does not work.

Subsequent parts of this article will examine how a prevalent sense of entitlement has acted to help destroy much of what has been built up over the last 100 years. There will also be a brief look at ways of possibly averting what threatens to be a race war of national proportions.

Again, I invite my Muslim readers, especially those who are involved with the Muslim Student Union at UC Irvine, to weigh in. I think we can have a respectful discussion on this topic. Does the ad stigmatize all Muslims on college campuses or even all MSU/MSA members?

What about the statement that there is a fine line between freedom of speech and hate speech? How does this compare with statements made at UCI over the years by Amir Abdel Malik Ali, Mohammed al Asi, and others?

C'mon! It's all about dialogue.

What Obama's Arab 'spring' has unleashed

When obama bowed to the pig king of Saudi Arabia he was predicting, paving the way for the downfall of the United States as an ally and protector in not only the Middle East, but to the rest of our friends and allies.

The disgusting apologies of obama for the supposedly 'horrible actions' of the United States in our past history have done tremendous damage to U.S. foreign policy. To obama, the United States IS NOT EXCEPTIONAL nor should we be proud of our past history. These actions, deeds by obama and his administration have not only weakened our image abroad but the potus has undermined and stabbed our military in the back.

Instead of vaulting the image of the United States throughout the arab world, we are now the laughing stock of the muslim world. We are loathed and ridiculed abroad.

How about women, Christian Copts, and other minorities in the 'new' egypt or muslim world?

"This is bad news for women and for non-Muslims. Egypt's Coptic Christians have been under continuous attack by Muslim Brotherhood and Salafist supporters since Mubarak was deposed. Their churches, homes and businesses have been burned, looted and destroyed. Their wives and daughters have been raped. The military massacred them when they dared to protest their persecution.

As for women, their main claim to fame since Mubarak's overthrow has been their sexual victimization at the hands of soldiers who stripped female protesters and performed "virginity tests" on them. Out of nearly five hundred seats in parliament, only 10 will be filled by women."

Do you think obama is upset by any of the above? I seriously doubt that he loses any sleep over the degradation of the United States or weeps for the Copts and women of egypt. I feel this was what he set out to do, make our country more like the rest of the world. In other words, we should be ashamed of our exceptionalism, our progress, our standing up for freedom all around the globe.

Obama's arab spring has been a disaster for us, the people of the United States, for our military and the ability to be prepared to fight off more than one or two enemies at a time, protect ourselves and our assets on two or fronts at the same time.

Instead of true freedom and democracy taking root in egypt, yemen, libya, we see the radical islamists, the muslim brotherhood being 'voted' into power. One look at egypt and the over 70% of the votes the muslim brotherhood won and it is clear to see that American foreign policy has been flushed down the toilet in the obama's bathroom. Of course obama more than likely views this, as a win win policy in his perverted socialist world view. Dictators and totalitarian leaders have been removed from power and Israel is now more isolated than ever. Do not be fooled for one second that obama cares even a tiny bit for the well being and survival of the Jewish state. His actions have proven otherwise. Israel was always limited in what it could get from the arab world so Israel did not lose a lot in the arab spring. The United States on the other hand has lost much more.

America and the Arab Spring

A year ago this week, on January 25, 2011, the ground began to crumble under then-Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak's feet. One year later, Mubarak and his sons are in prison, and standing trial.

This week, the final vote tally from Egypt's parliamentary elections was published. The Islamist parties have won 72 percent of the seats in the lower house.

The photogenic, Western-looking youth from Tahrir Square the Western media were thrilled to dub the Facebook revolutionaries were disgraced at the polls and exposed as an insignificant social and political force.

As for the military junta, it has made its peace with the Muslim Brotherhood. The generals and the jihadists are negotiating a power-sharing agreement. According to details of the agreement that have made their way to the media, the generals will remain the West's go-to guys for foreign affairs. The Muslim Brotherhood (and its fellow jihadists in the Salafist al-Nour party) will control Egypt's internal affairs.

This is bad news for women and for non-Muslims. Egypt's Coptic Christians have been under continuous attack by Muslim Brotherhood and Salafist supporters since Mubarak was deposed. Their churches, homes and businesses have been burned, looted and destroyed. Their wives and daughters have been raped. The military massacred them when they dared to protest their persecution.

The Western media are centering their attention on what the next Egyptian constitution will look like and whether it will guarantee rights for women and minorities. What they fail to recognize is that the Islamic fundamentalists now in charge of Egypt don't need a constitution to implement their tyranny. All they require is what they already have - a public awareness of their political power and their partnership with the military.

The same literalist approach that has prevented Western observers from reading the writing on the walls in terms of the Islamists' domestic empowerment has blinded them to the impact of Egypt's political transformation on the country's foreign policy posture. US officials forcefully proclaim that they will not abide by an Egyptian move to formally abrogate its peace treaty with Israel. What they fail to recognize is that whether or not the treaty is formally abrogated is irrelevant. The situation on the ground in which the new regime allows Sinai to be used as a launching ground for attacks against Israel, and as a highway for weapons and terror personnel to flow freely into Gaza, are clear signs that the peace with Israel is already dead - treaty or no treaty.

One year later, the elements of the US's alliance structure have either been destroyed or seriously weakened. US allies like Saudi Arabia, which have yet to be seriously threatened by the revolutionary violence, no longer trust the US. As the recently revealed nuclear cooperation between the Saudis and the Chinese makes clear, the Saudis are looking to other global powers to replace the US as their superpower protector.

Perhaps the most amazing aspect to the US's spectacular loss of influence and power in the Arab world is that most of its strategic collapse has been due to its own actions. In Egypt and Libya the US intervened prominently to bring down a US ally and a dictator who constituted no threat to its interests. Indeed, it went to war to bring Gaddafi down.

Moreover, the US acted to bring about their fall at the same time it knew that they would be replaced by forces inimical to American national security interests. In Egypt, it was clear that the Muslim Brotherhood would emerge as the strongest political force in the country. In Libya, it was clear at the outset of the NATO campaign against Gaddafi that al-Qaida was prominently represented in the anti-regime coalition. And just as the Islamists won the Egyptian election, shortly after Gaddafi was overthrown, al-Qaida forces raised their flag over Benghazi's courthouse.

US actions from Yemen to Bahrain and beyond have followed a similar pattern.

Obama immigration policy leads to three murders

What are three more lives lost from murder directly from his actions on our immigration policy to obama? What is a bit more blood on his hands, matter to him?

Here is a report on three deaths that can be tied directly to obama and his stopping the deportation of illegal aliens. Had obama, the first muslim illegal alien potus not issued this order, this felon might have at the very least, stayed behind bars or deported back to Haiti.

Obama’s Immigration Policy Results in Three Murders

The Obama administration has been ignoring federal immigration laws in failing to deport thousands of illegal aliens as they have been identified and detained. And now that defiance of federal law has resulted in the murder of three people, one of which was a 15 year old girl.

In 2006, 23 year old Kesler Dufrene from Haiti, was convicted of his second felony for burglary. A judge in Bradenton, Florida sentenced Dufrene to five years in prison. Since he was also an illegal immigrant, his felony conviction caused an immigration judge to order that he be deported back to Haiti upon his release from prison.

Dufrene was released from prison in September, 2010 and handed over to immigration officials. In October 2010 and under the directions from Obama who ordered a temporary halt to deportations to Haiti due to the massive earthquake that devastated the island nation, Dufrene was released from custody by immigration officials. Even though he was a two time felon and an illegal alien, Dufrene was free to walk the streets of Florida.

On January 2, 2011, relatives of 15 year old Ashley Crow were worried when they could not get anyone at her home to answer their calls, so they notified police. When the police arrived, they found Ashley, 25 year old Harlen Peralta and 35 year old Israel Rincon shot to death. Peralta and Rincon rented an attached efficiency apartment from Ashley’s mother, Audrey Hansack.

It is apparent that the behavior of women in America and in the West in general during the past 35 years is proof that they do need to be carefully monitored. They voluntarily engage in sex with multiple partners, acquire diseases that result often in infertility or worse, regard abortion as an inherent right and as an everyday event of no consequence, have babies out of wedlock, bring unfair lawsuits against men, shove their way into the workplace often without proper qualifications, dump their kids at day-care, join left-leaning groups, vote for socialistic legislation, mock men, treat men like objects and propel the sex industry in ways that men alone could never do. These and other untenable actions cause them to lose the love and respect of men, and invalidate the fine accomplishments of women through the ages. In short, by using freedom as a license, they have become more enslaved than they ever were before. Women, having once been the moral backbone of society, have become insignificant, and worthless.

As we see, if a man disputes with his family trying to correct a rebellious wife or kids, his wife or even his kid may call the police and the husband finds himself thrown in jail under the serious charge of woman or child abuse!

Due to man-made laws, man in the west is deprived of his authority as the man of the house. If he divorces his wife, she takes most of his salary and property, so why marrying in the first place? In his society sex outside marriage is allowed, so to hell with marriage that brings financial ruin, and unbearable shackles. This parental dissolution due to the diminishing of the fatherâ��s authority has led to the deterioration of marital life and consequently, the dissolution of the western society

A top Islamic scholar objects to women running in elections. The Head of Sharia Scholars League in the GCC countries Dr Ajeel Al-Nashmi maintains that women have the right to participate in political issues by expressing their opinions or demanding their rights in the media. Women from the physical point of view are not fit to practice politics that requires debating, staying awake for long hours at night, appearing before men and mingling with them, Al-Nashmi indicated. "70% of the increase in crime and domestic violence at Christmas are of families of non-Norwegian background. The cultures we speak of drink little alcohol and don't celebrate Christmas," Stein Erik Olsen told Nettavisen. "What we've seen in Stovner (borough) is that the number of cases goes down during Ramadan."

Olsen says one of the challenges with other cultures is that they have their own laws and a different attitude towards women than what is accepted in Norwegian society. "In the worst of our cases it's quite extreme who the culture rules the family, and how laws and regulations different than the Norwegian ones apply.

Kashmala Bibi (a false name used to protect the woman) says her cousin's breasts were cut into pieces when five militants walked into their house and saw the woman breastfeeding her child. One of the insurgents then asked the other women around to eat the pieces.

This is one of the many tales of horror recorded in a report titled "Impact of crisis on women and girls in Fata". The report, released by human rights organisation "Khwendo Kor" (Sisters' Home in Pashto) with financial support from UN-women, is based on case studies of women from the tribal belt living in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's IDP camps. Forced marriages, honour killings, exchange of women between tribes and marriages with first cousins resulting in disabilities of offspring have made the women in the tribal areas increasingly dependent. The role of women in society has decreased from 39% to 19%.

Human rights groups in Bangladesh have demanded a severe punishment for the husband of a young woman who allegedly cut off most of her right hand. Police say Rafiqul Islam, 30, attacked her because she pursued higher education without his permission. The incident is one of a number of acts of domestic violence targeting educated women in recent months.

Egyptian soldiers beat female protesters with metal poles as they dragged the women through the streets. Clashes with security forces continued for a third day yesterday near Egypt's parliament. Soldiers erected huge concrete barricades, but an exchange of stones and firebombs continued. The army also used water tanks to spray the crowd and fired gun shots in the air.

At least ten have been killed in the violence, including two children aged 12 and 13. Two died after their skulls were fractured by stones thrown during the battles and at least six were shot dead, despite army and government claims that no live fire was being used. Update HERE.

At least 675 Pakistani women and girls were murdered during the first nine months of 2011 for allegedly defaming their family's honor, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan report said Tuesday. "Some victims were raped or gang raped before being killed, he said. At least 19 were killed by their sons, 49 by their fathers and 169 by their husbands," he added.

The report underscores the pervasive violence against women in conservative Muslim Pakistan, where there are no domestic violence laws and authorities faced with 'honor killings' prefer to leave such matters in the hands of local elders.

Egypt

An adviser to Egypt's military rulers said in a newspaper interview published on Thursday that a brutal attack on a female protester by Egyptian soldiers on Saturday was justified because the woman had insulted the army.

Thousands of Egyptian women took to the streets of Cairo this week to protest the beating of the woman, whose black abaya was stripped back to reveal her underwear during the attack. Asked about video and photographs of soldiers hitting and kicking the woman, Gen. Abdel Moneim Kato, a retired officer who advises the ruling military council in Cairo, told the Arabic-language newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that the female activist "had been insulting the army through a megaphone" before she was stripped and beaten.

Authorities in Iran said Sunday they are again moving ahead with plans to execute a woman sentenced to death by stoning on an adultery conviction in a case that sparked an international outcry, but are considering whether to carry out the punishment by hanging instead. More HERE.

Bedouin and other Arabs in the northern Negev are increasingly involved in predatory relationships with young Jewish girls, according to Voice of Israel government-run radio. The relationships sometimes begin as romantic involvements, often with under-aged minors, and develop into rape, abductions and abuse.

Seven victims last month alone are aged 11-18. These are only cases that were reported to police, but many others are believed to have taken place without being reported. Complaints were filed to the police in four cases of such abductions last month in Kiryat Malachi alone, and a fifth case of rape.

A video shows the extent of the injuries suffered by a 15 year-old Afghan child bride Sahar Gul who was locked up and tortured by her husband. According to officials in northeastern Baghlan province, Gul's in-laws kept her in a basement for six months, ripped her fingernails out, tortured her with hot irons and broke her fingers - all in an attempt to force her into prostitution. Libya

Ten percent of the seats in a proposed Libyan constituent assembly will be reserved for women, a draft electoral law published on Monday said, triggering harsh reaction from a human rights watchdog.

The Libyan Human Rights Alliance strongly criticised the proposed bill. "As it is now, Libyan women currently make up over 50% of the population in Libya, and the idea that they will be strictly limited to only 20 seats is extremely outrageous," said the alliance in a statement released in English.

A number of religious leaders in Gambia have called for a ban on female genital mutilation (FGM) which is widely seen as an obligation for Muslim women in the country, Gambia's Daily Observer newspaper reports. Imams and traditional chiefs have joined women's groups in calling for a law against FGM (also known as female circumcision), which they say puts women's reproductive health at risk.

Germany

This is a short "must-see" video of a Catholic nun who works with Iraqi Christian girls who have been raped and tortured by Muslim men. The title is "This Is What Islam Does" [to Kafir women].

Norway

All sexual assaults involving rape in past 5 years were committed by "non-Western" males. In this video, the politically correct Norwegians never identify the men as Muslims but will only call them, "Asian."

Three men entered the home of a married Pakistani woman named Jameela's and tried to assault her. When Jameela put up resistance, they beat her black and blue before tearing her clothes off.

Bangladesh

A total of 6,616 women fell victim to repression across the country last year, says the report. Of them, 1,014 women were victims of stalking, 96 were killed after rape and 38 died after being set on fire. Moreover, 81 women were acid burnt while two of them died following the attacks.

A Norwegian girl was brutally attacked by her boyfriend as she refused to marry him. Twenty four year old Sulvy Leopreez Sakkur was severely beaten by her Egyptian millionaire boyfriend.

The lady confirmed the news in an interview with Al Wafd newspaper. She identified her boyfriend as Ahmed AL Ajati, the son of Egyptian millionaire Yahiya Al Ajati. She said, "The reason behind this was because I refused to marry him and asked him to end our relationship".

Junior girls in Muslim Orphanage, the state's biggest orphanage run by the Waqf Board, have been found to be sexually abused by their seniors under the patronage of some of the orphanage staffers.

Khalique Miah has been jailed for 18 months for the attack on Zahanara Begum.She was on the loo when her former husband burst in dressed in black, wielding a hammer and referring to her underwear as 'Satan'. Miah, 35, covered her mouth with a gloved hand to stop her screaming, punched her in the chest and stomach, then climbed on top of her, holding her in place, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

*The National Enquirer reports that First Lady Michelle Obama threw a temper tantrum over author Jodi Kantor’s new book, “The Obamas” that alleges that the first lady has diva-like behavior and spendthrift ways.

The Enquirer is reporting that Michelle blames the president for his inability to control the White House staff and the hurtful gossip they are spreading.

“She’s convinced that his aides have been leaking embarrassing details about her because they believe her extravagant behavior is hurting his re-election campaign,” said the source.

New insights into the alleged extravagant spending are revealed in the book, including an “Alicein Wonderland” party in which actor Johnny Depp in full costume presided over a Mad Hatter’s tea. Kantor, a New York Times correspondent, wrote “there were enormous stuffed animals in chairs and tiered serving plates with treats like bone-shaped meringue cookies.”

But according to “The Obamas,” the president’s aides were so fearful the splashy party would be offensive to jobless Americans—or their representatives in Congress–that the event “was not discussed publicly and Depp’s contribution went unacknowledged,” according to the book.

President Obama had White House Press Secretary Jay Carney call it “irresponsible” for media to report the “secret party,” labeling it “an event for military children.”

But a top source said “The president’s reaction was too little too late for Michelle. According to the source, she lashed into Obama and said ‘I HATE this place!”

Maybe Just Maybe.

Maybe, just maybe, Netanyahu has woken up concerning the intentions of the Obama Administration with regard to the Iranian threat to have nuclear weapons "soon". It was first reported that Obama cancelled the war games with Israel. When I first heard that it was Netanyahu who decided to cancel the joint military exercises with the US I found it hard to understand. In fact it made no sense at all. After all it is believed by most that Israel needs the US support if it is to take out the Iranian nuclear program.

There was something very wrong with this picture. To begin with it became very clear, or should I say even clearer than before, that what Obama says and what he is actually doing are two completely different things. He knows of the popularity and support for Israel in the Congress and with the majority of the American people. So if he is to destroy [or be instrumental in that destruction] Israel he has to be very clever. Even deceiving his generals - who for the most part hate his guts. Those reading this will have no problem with my saying that he is the biggest liar and deceiver who has ever appeared on the American political scene, possibly in the entire world. His ability to deceive everyone has become well known. So I ask; is it possible that Netanyahu has in fact woken up and realized that to play any games with Obama is the same as playing games with the Devil himself? Or is it far more complicated than that?

Obama knows how very close Iran is to putting the final touches to their nuclear program, and that once they actually have the bomb it becomes almost impossible to attack Iran, much like it is with North Korea. So the game is to buy time, and in this case not a lot of time is needed. So Iran can handle some sanctions for a while longer. This is why Obama has refused to implement the full sanctions on Iran. Buying them the little more time they need to complete the bomb. This could be true, but a far more likely possibility is that Obama is buying time for his own political reasons, knowing the election is coming? It looks more and more like he cannot win re-election, but who would try to remove a sitting President in a time of war? So it is necessary to hold off the attack on Iran for his political reasons knowing that the timing isn't right for him at this time. And as for Israel, he knows this time around she does not want to sit still and allow missiles to fall as they did in 91 when 39 missiles fell on the city of Tel-Aviv. Because Israel also knows Hezbollah in Lebanon has put into place 50,000+ missiles capable of hitting every city in Israel, and Hamas in Gaza has been completely re-armed and is ready for war. Syria has its back to the wall and it may be that the only way out for her is to attack Israel with their missiles and chemical weapons. Now we have Egypt controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood who created Hamas for the sole purpose of destroying Israel.

But why would Netanyahu cancel the joint military exercises with the US? He must have discovered something that has proved to be a very serious threat to the existence of Israel in the coming days. Maybe, just maybe, he has taken another look at the advanced radar system the US has placed in Israel with the stipulation that it must only be operated by US personal (military) and that Israelis cannot be in control of that radar system at any time? The "Great Deceiver" (Obama) said that the radar system was there to protect Israel against incoming missiles. That certainly sounded like something that all Israelis would appreciate very much. But suddenly - maybe, just maybe, Netanyahu looked at the other side of that coin. With that US advanced Radar System in place in Israel, under the control of the US, it has now become impossible for Israel to launch an attack on Iran or anyone else without the co-operation of the US military who control that radar system. The question has also come up about the sharing of information collected by that radar system. If Israel is not in control of that intelligence it could prove to be fatal to Israeli security.

And what about the thousands of US troops now in Israel? Why are they here? Why have they not departed now that the war games have been called off? Surely there isn't enough of them to handle the IDF? And then there is the build up of US naval ships both in the Mediterranean (6th Fleet) and in the Persian Gulf the 5th Fleet. Why hasn't the US Navy called the bluff of the small and inferior Iran Navy in their threat to close the Strait of Hormuz?

That brings in many other possibilities. Some of them pointing to the possibility that Netanyahu is working in co-operation with Obama and this fatal game has become far more complicated than could be explained in any report such as this.

Two things are certain. One, we will not have to wait long to find out, and two, I know Israel will be here when the smoke settles and we will be bringing Jews home to Israel, with God's help. There may well be other realities we won't like - but the final result is that Yeshua plants His feet on the Mount of Olives. Then every Jew will know His Name is Yeshua (Jesus) the Holy One of Israel.

We still have some time to prepare. How much is anyone's guess. But I know this is the day that the Lord has made and as long as we have breath we must follow God's Word and Leading with the direction of the Ruach HaKodesh. God has called this ministry for a purpose and right now it is to see who will answer to the call from God to be obedient.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for this ministry and your part in it.

As shown by the Keystone Pipeline controversy, extreme environmentalists are targeting heavy oils, claiming, with the help of the disinformedia, that oil extracted from tar sands and, by inference, thick, gooey, gummy heavy crude oil are "dirtier" and more dangerous than conventional (light) oil.

The manmade global warming theory-based Big Lie that the life-on-earth-supporting carbon dioxide that is released in heavy oil production is a pollutant is central to the argument against heavy oil production--and oil production in general.

The Republican Presidential candidates need to tackle the carbon-is-killing-the-planet notion head-on as so much hot air and politically motivated propaganda aimed at keeping America's despised "fossil fuels" locked up. Mitt ("Maybe I'll Release My Tax Returns") Romney does not have the credibility to do this. Santorum simply isn't smart enough. Paul is basically irrelevant--he hardly believes in government to begin with. That leaves Gingrich. Alone among the remaining GOP Presidential hopefuls, Newt has the intelligence, knowledge, ability and wit to defeat the all-oil-is-bad camp.

Which explains (a) why pro-Obama CNN, which poses as a news network, ignored energy and its importance to the economy (along with foreign policy) during this week's Presidential debate, and (b) why Obama (of "the Muslim world") is ignoring North Dakota's great, job-creating oil boom: he and his henchpersons don't want the American people to know that their country is sitting atop enough onshore oil, including new oil that can be squeezed from old fields through enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods that are similar to heavy crude production methods, to make America energy independent. Really. Between the Bakken-lke light oil fields waiting to be discovered and the EOR fields--and known heavy crude reserves and resources--waiting to be developed, the United States could be said to be running into oil, not out of it.

Energy independence from real … as opposed to phony "green" … energy … millions of well-paying, permanent jobs … with benefits … genuine prosperity … all this is possible, doable, attainable with the right leadership.

Will the nation get the leader it needs in 2012?

POSTSCRIPT: Had Obama wanted to act like a true progressive upon entering office during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, he would have called for the creation of a national oil company--a real stimulus--to responsibly explore for and develop domestic oil resources that are economically recoverable, but arguably not economic enough, for (American-in-name-only) Big Oil. Alternatively, he could have backed the revival of America's once mighty independent oil industry and urged government incentives for companies to develop the nation's domestic oil resources, especially on federal land. He did neither of these things, of course, preferring (in line with his Islamobominist ideology) to push inefficient and nonexistent energy solutions in the name of "saving the planet." Wanted: A President to save America.

I was reading another story when this title caught my eye. It is from the 17th but it is worth sharing.

I am guessing that most of us have enjoyed the cookies that the Girl Scouts peddle but that has now changed. Just earlier today we had some Girl Scouts come by our house selling cookies. I politely told them no and to please not bother us again in the future for anything to do with Girl Scouts. I refuse to give the GS any more of our money and what you are about to read is quite sad. Sad because the GS have now become poisoned by the politically correct stooges that also embrace excessive multiculturalism and diversity. So much so that if a boy who dresses like a girl and thinks he is a girl, will be allowed to join the Girl Scouts. This recently occurred in Colorado. I stopped supporting the United Way over ten years ago when they snubbed the Boy Scouts over letting ~~queers~~, oops I mean homosexuals in.

This happening to the Girl Scouts is just more evidence of our rapidly declining morals, values and the disintegration of the REAL family. You know the one I am talking about. That one with a male for the husband and a female for the wife. Not two men or two women who try to beat us down with how grand it is to embrace diversity and multiculturalism.

Call me what you wish but you will NOT change my mind nor change my views.

When our sweet little neighbor in her brown camp uniform came knocking on our door this year, we had to say no. I told her mother that I didn’t want to hurt Katie’s feelings, but I couldn’t support the Girl Scout cookie sale anymore because I’d learned too much about the organizers’ agenda, primarily their support for abortion and partnership with Planned Parenthood.

I worried that my “political” stand would cause uneasiness between us, but her response put me at ease: “Well,” she said, “they do use unpaid child labor to make their sales, and the troop only gets 10 percent of the revenues anyway.”

True. According to the Girl Scouts’ website, the lion’s share of the money goes not to the troop but to bureaucrats up the chain of command in multicounty councils. The national office gets a piece of the pie, too, in the form of royalties based on gross annual sales volume - about 200 million boxes per year.

It’s a sacrifice, because I love the cookies and the cuties who sell them, but enough is enough.

I remember the Girl Scouts being flaky way back in the early 1970s. When I was a Brownie, I was told to recite some chant and step over a mirror. If I had known the word, I would have called it “pagan.” Even an unchurched girl of 7 could smell a rat.

Last year, the Girl Scouts decided to admit boys who dress as girls. When asked to admit a cross-dressing 7-year-old boy, a Colorado troop leader demurred, explaining to his mother, with tact and irrefutable logic, that her son couldn’t be a Girl Scout because he has “boy parts.”

The troop leader was chastised by the mom as being insensitive and promptly was overruled by the Girl Scout top brass, who, in a statement said, “If a child identifies as a girl and the child’s family presents her as a girl, Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes her as a Girl Scout.” Perpetuating this cruel charade on the little boy and forcing little girls to participate in it is “inclusiveness” to the Girl Scouts. To others, it’s child abuse.

If one needs any more proof just how far gone and how far left Oregon’s 1st Congressional District is, just read this next post.

"Unions and groups that support abortion rights have joined national Democratic officials in investing in Oregon’s special election to replace former Rep. David Wu, and national Republicans have for the first time invested money in the GOP candidate.

Planned Parenthood, through its political action committee, has spent $37,000 on ads that are being mailed to the district’s voters. Emily’s List, through its committee called Women Vote, has spent nearly $200,000 on the race, mostly on television ads.

Special elections are always highly watched elections. This was an opportunity to highlight a woman’s health champion,” said Tait Sye, spokesman for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund."

Suzanne Bonamici, who I predict will win this special election, is the dream politician of the far left, one who loves any tax or fee increase, abortion on demand and claims she is one who has a great history of job creation.

Some champion for women's health! One who strongly supports killing babies under any circumstances in the name of 'choice'.

When one has unions like the SEIU, baby killing organizations like Planned Parenthood and an organization like Emily's List (which I will NEVER use again) supporting a certain candidate, there is ample proof that liberalism is truly a terminal disease.

Bonamici values BIG government getting larger and could care less about the average person unless they are a card carrying union member or one of those who could be found in the midst of the OWS movement that polluted downtown Portland.

Oregon's 1st Congressional District deserves an idiot like Susan Bonamici. It will be business as usual for the people in this district. They will notice hardly any changes between her and David Wu who was forced to resign after perving on the daughter of one of his longtime supporters.

Special interests, national parties lend funds to race

WASHINGTON — Unions and groups that support abortion rights have joined national Democratic officials in investing in Oregon’s special election to replace former Rep. David Wu, and national Republicans have for the first time invested money in the GOP candidate.

Election Day is less than two weeks away, and voters already have their ballots for Oregon’s all-mail election.

So far, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has spent almost $600,000 to keep Oregon’s 1st Congressional District in Democratic hands, according to Federal Election Commission records, and the committee has reserved more television advertising time that is likely to push the figure higher. Democratic officials say the spending amounts to an insurance policy.

Republicans countered that the spending is proof of a close race. They’re also throwing in about $85,000 that Republican Rob Cornilles is using for a television ad attacking his Democratic opponent, Suzanne Bonamici.

“We’re helping out a strong candidate who has national Democrats running scared in a district Obama won with 62 percent of the vote,” said Daniel Scarpinato, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Cornilles’ campaign welcomed the support from the national GOP.

“This is an indication that they believe in him and believe he’s going to win,” said Mary Anne Ostrom, his campaign manager.

No independent polls have been conducted recently that would indicate just how close the race is, though the district in most election cycles is considered a safe Democratic seat

Environazi groups threaten expanded timber harvests and jobs, again!

This is just a shot across the bow from the those politically correct losers that want to lock up all the timberland, public and private to kill the timber industry for good.

Many of these OWS sympathizers have never worked a day of real work in their lives. Much like the current potus we are currently suffering from.

What flawed science and studies will be exposed after these trolls file suit after suit to kill any new jobs that could be created by the recent change in Oregon to harvest more timber and create some badly needed jobs in a region that still has areas with unemployment rates at almost 14%?

Marbled Murrelet

Groups warn of suit to reduce logging

PORTLAND — Conservation groups have warned the state of Oregon they will sue to reduce logging in state forests to protect nesting trees for a threatened seabird called the marbled murrelet.

Cascadia Wildlands, the Center for Biological Diversity, and the Audubon Society of Portland sent the governor and state agencies formal notices Thursday that a lawsuit would be filed if they did not rescind recent decisions to increase clearcut logging in the Elliott, Tillamook and Clatsop state forests.

Last year the state decided to give up a system that protects habitat for threatened and endangered fish and wildlife and adopt another that avoids killing specific animals. The change allows greater timber production.
