In true Pattern & Paw spirit, we had an ‘incident’ with a runaway dog twenty minutes before the ceremony began. If you look *real* close you might be able to see the dirty pawprint right smack on the front of my dress…

A fitting accident, to say the least. But if that was to be the only thing to go wrong that day, you know what? I’ll take it.

And speaking of R.J. and Nicole, the superb talent behind the lens, you may recognize their name. In fact, they won our pet photo contest the first two years we held it. Their dog, Dash, has graced the pages of our website more times than we can count (and he’s got quite the collection of P&P collars to show for it). In fact, that’s how we first met them. They were our customers before they were our photographers before they were our friends. And when we first got engaged, R.J. was one of the first people we called, as we could think of no one better to photograph our big day. I think the images speak for themselves. They did a fabulous job, even including Kitty in the photo shoots (despite the fact that R.J. is allergic, poor thing). So, you know, if you’re looking for a photographer in Colorado (or beyond – they travel!) give them a call. You won’t be disappointed.

Good news is now that all is said and done, and all the back orders have been shipped, we’re now back to our regular shipping schedule. And stay tuned – we’ve got some great new things in the works, including a pretty awesome contest, and some great new designs you’re sure to fall head over heels for (see those lovely lilac skulls Kitty is sporting up there? Yep. That’s one of ‘em. You know, she gets first pick of all our new designs).

Yup, you heard us. Lindsay and Taylor, the owners of Pattern & Paw, are tying the knot!

Unfortunately, since the wedding is out of town, and collars don’t just sew themselves, we have to close up shop temporarily. All orders placed after WEDNESDAY JUNE 10TH will be processed and shipped beginning JULY 6TH.

The online store will still be open for you to browse to your heart’s desire (have you seen our awesome Wishlist feature?), but if you place an order just be ready to be patient, as we can’t ship anything until we return.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Don’t forget to sign up for our mailing list – you can be pretty darn sure we’ll want to ‘celebrate’ upon our return, and Pattern & Paw celebration usually means a coupon or sale of one kind or another!

Who knew that the result would be a usable bedside table AND a cat bed?

The piece we cut off turned out to be perfectly kitty sized. With the remnants of the legs it looks like a miniature four-poster bed. Add one sheepskin cat mat and you have one happy kitty.

We’ve got a new (or not so new) assistant around these parts. Though one might argue that she does more to impede the work flow than to assist it.

I have to say it is extremely hard to type anything when you have a 15-lb cat draped over your arm.

This photo isn’t just some rare occurrence either. Kitty literally spends 3 hours every morning “assisting” Taylor.
