It’s time for another installment of What’s New at Pattern & Paw! This time, we’re pleased to introduce a handful of new designs that are sure to tickle your fancy. We’ve just added 12 new designs to the shop, including some fabulous nautical waves, peace signs, purple zebra stripes, chic jasmine stripes, Christmas argyles, and the calm, cool, and collected stripe we call Seaglass. We’ve had many requests for some more ‘masculine’ styles (yes, we love pink and we love polka dots, and for that we will never apologize!) but we think these new styles fit the bill just perfectly. Surf & Seaglass are a perfect combination of cool colors and boyish designs. Becase we care about the boy dogs too!

We’re crossing our fingers for a beautiful, sunny fall day!

Believe it or not, she drinks like this on a regular basis. Not out of a giant pitcher, but with her paw. We think it’s a ’survival’ tactic she learned as soon as she realized the freshest water was always in our glasses, not her bowl (which, by the way, she refuses to drink out of anymore. she now gets her own personal water glass). Spoiled rotten, that one. Creative, surely, but spoiled.

The event will take place at Billups Art, 1008-c Woodland St, Nashville, TN 37206 (get directions). Admission is free and a portion of all proceeds will benefit East Can Community Action Network and Nashville Paw.

Dog Days kicks off at 11am!
1:00 – Best Trick Contest (show off your pup’s mad skills!)
2:30 – Hot Dog Beauty Contest (because you know your pooch is the prettiest!)
4:00 – Adoption Drive (take home a pup in need)
All Day – Doggie Art (let your dog’s inner Picasso shine!), plus live charcoal drawings of your dog!

Plus, anyone who adopts a dog during the event will receive a FREE Pattern & Paw collar for their new addition! We wholeheartedly support pet rescue efforts, and want to show our gratitude for those who give a home to a dog in need.

That’s kitty’s “gooey” (as we like to call it) stuck to the ceiling. No big deal, right? Unless your ceilings are 22 feet tall.

To get the darn thing down, we taped a fork to the end of an extension pole used to change lightbulbs.

Kitty was very interested the entire time. She knew her toy was up there, and was quite patient as she waited for us to get it down.

The wedding, to say the least, was perfect.

Right down to the last detail…

In true Pattern & Paw spirit, we had an ‘incident’ with a runaway dog twenty minutes before the ceremony began. If you look *real* close you might be able to see the dirty pawprint right smack on the front of my dress…

A fitting accident, to say the least. But if that was to be the only thing to go wrong that day, you know what? I’ll take it.

And speaking of R.J. and Nicole, the superb talent behind the lens, you may recognize their name. In fact, they won our pet photo contest the first two years we held it. Their dog, Dash, has graced the pages of our website more times than we can count (and he’s got quite the collection of P&P collars to show for it). In fact, that’s how we first met them. They were our customers before they were our photographers before they were our friends. And when we first got engaged, R.J. was one of the first people we called, as we could think of no one better to photograph our big day. I think the images speak for themselves. They did a fabulous job, even including Kitty in the photo shoots (despite the fact that R.J. is allergic, poor thing). So, you know, if you’re looking for a photographer in Colorado (or beyond – they travel!) give them a call. You won’t be disappointed.

Good news is now that all is said and done, and all the back orders have been shipped, we’re now back to our regular shipping schedule. And stay tuned – we’ve got some great new things in the works, including a pretty awesome contest, and some great new designs you’re sure to fall head over heels for (see those lovely lilac skulls Kitty is sporting up there?
