After the colourful Easter time let us celebrate Grey today. To some, Grey is boring, cold and dull. It may invoke images of lonely and lifeless times. No one wants to have grey hair, no one likes grey clouds. I like Grey. It is the perfect meld of no color at all, and all colors at once. You can do everything with it. It’s time for some vector patterns with easter elements! These are colourful, with rabbits, easter eggs and other spring objects such as leaves. Some of them contain text “Happy Easter”. Currently I am working on a new floral series “Awakening”.

The patterns consist of flowers and leaves that are created in a mixture of illustrative and abstract style. If there are Eastern, Western and European styles that have influenced the commercial floral industry as it is today it should be European style that describes them most. In the previews below you see some details.
Of course the development of these details make my laptop run hot. The finished files are big, nevertheless I will try to upload some of them at Floralcy within the next days and weeks.

Many of you know that I have a faible for flower and floral designs as you can definately see at my other site Floralcy. There are so many ways to create flowers. Currently I am working on flowers that contain many lines. I will upload some of these at Floralcy within the next weeks. This set today is a little more abstract and modern.

Diagonal lines with and without gradients can be found in this pattern set. Due to the gradients the best way to change colors is to use the color guide. Create your color group, select the pattern, open the color guide and click on edit colors button. Now you can choose your color group and see the results instantly. Once you are satisfied with the colors simply drag the new pattern into the swatches panel (Adobe Illustrator) to use it.
