Students learned about bread baking with a little science and math thrown in. Team WATTS advanced to the champion's tournament held at the Bob Carpenter center on January 28 and were awarded the "Inspiration trophy" for demonstrating enthusiasm and encompassing the core values of the First Lego league. Team Robotic Chargers placed the highest overall of all the UCFSD teams for the robot game portion of the competition coming in the top 10. Team Chef Bot-Ardee was awarded the Judge's Award for Consistency. The Kennett Area Community Services/ Kennett Food Cupboard has invited over 625 local families to their annual Christmas Basket charity event. These families live in the Unionville-Chadds Ford, Kennett Square and Avon Grove School Districts. The survey is anonymous, voluntary and confidential. No individual data is reported; only aggregate data. This year, the 45 minute survey will be given to students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 during a single class period in October. Any student who is planning on joining the middle school team needs to have several things completed in order to participate. Patton Middle School on April 15, 2011.
