Predictions for March 2012.

Mars is still retrograde and little mechanical glitches are still happening. The other day the printer acted up; this time the roller that pulls paper into it stopped working. All it took was a wiggle to fix.

Mercury goes retrograde on March 12 in the sign of Aries and goes direct April 4 in the sign of Pisces. As you know, when Mercury goes retrograde things electrical malfunction. In the sign of Aries, the malfunctions would be the electrical components of mechanical things. When Mercury backs into the sign of Pisces on March 23, the electrical components of the computer, TV, or anything that has to do with pictures can malfunction. It is not a good time for any medical tests, either, especially any test regarding gases.

March 1: Very early a possibly of an argument; let it go. All day communication is unsettled. The one with the creative idea is not specific enough for the one in charge. Wait a day or two to present it again.

March 2: Moon goes into Cancer at 10:07 and the conversation shifts to home and family, sparking a swift response. Mercury goes into Aries until May 9. Thinking and conversation can be impulsive although creative. The energy of Aries is provocative, so expect your Aries friend to try to stir things up. Aries will be direct in their verbal approach and presentation of ideas and projects. Libra can expect people to seem to be too abrupt. Cancer and Capricorn experience challenges to your ideas. Leo and Sagittarius enjoy conversations about adventures. Gemini and Aquarius also enjoy fast-moving conversations. Pisces and Taurus are neutral. Virgo and Scorpio adjust to impulsive interruptions. The day is full of the unexpected, so be as flexible as possible.

March 3: The Sun and Moon are getting along well today, so expect general harmony. The water signs of Cancer and Pisces are favored. After lunch there is an opportunity to apply details to your project. However, the Sun and Mars are at odds with each other. There can be opposition between Pisces and Virgo, or between creativity and detail. The creative one in authority is trying to push the intransigent person in charge of the practical details, probably to no avail. Cancer and Scorpio can help lead and stabilize the one in authority, with Taurus and Capricorn helping the one in charge to understand.

March 4: There is tension today in relationships, which could go two ways. Your loved one could want to be independent and go off on their own, or your loved one is pushing you to pay attention to them and neglect your work or duties. This is especially between Aries and Libra, but can include Cancer and Capricorn. This brings the potential for emotional disagreements. The trick is to avoid emotional (re-actions) discussions. The Moon goes into Leo at 18:17 changing the atmosphere to drama or fun.

March 5: Venus goes into Taurus until April 3. This is Venus’ sign, and it operates in the money and sex mode in Taurus. Your loved one may be clingy and a little possessive. Money could be in the forefront of a relationship. This is the time for Taurus to straighten out the checkbook and the house. Scorpio may experience intensity, which is okay as long as control does not enter the relationship, although there could be financial control issues. Leo and Aquarius may experience control issues over money. Virgo and Capricorn enjoy your relationships and have good financial situations. Cancer and Pisces have the opportunity for both good, although quiet relationships, and the opportunity for small financial gains or success. Libra adjusts to financial constraints and Sagittarius adjusts to a relationship becoming too close. Aries and Gemini are neutral. Mercury is teamed up with Uranus today, so expect impulsive, daring ideas that may not be practical. Aries should be careful of presenting something too far-fetched or changing. The Sun and Moon are at odds with each other, so expect minor interruptions all day.

March 6: A day with opportunities to express creativity, plan a vacation or make a small investment. Taurus and Pisces are favored, followed by Virgo, Capricorn and Cancer. Scorpio can benefit if you don’t control too much. The Moon goes into Virgo at 22:25 and the energy is now focused on common sense and analytical detail.

March 7: Just after midnight all is harmonious, but through the morning expect many interruptions. At lunch time common sense and detail go well, especially for Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn. By the end of the day the project is put into action. Pisces may be irritated because of the request for detail, but the water signs of Cancer and Scorpio have the opportunity to offer vision and stability. Gemini and Sagittarius are probably irritated all day because of the demands for what to you is onerous detail.

March 8: Full Moon in the signs of Virgo and Pisces who are the ones most affected and could be very irritated today, followed by Gemini and Sagittarius. The areas of the body involved with this full Moon are the upper intestines, the eyes, feet and lymph. Taurus and Capricorn can calm Virgo, with Cancer and Scorpio helping Pisces. The Moon goes into Libra at 23:49, which you will feel tomorrow.

March 9: The Moon is at odds with everybody today. Libra does not receive much cooperation today. Pisces feels pushed, Aries prefers to be on their own and not cooperate, Taurus wants to control the money that Libra wants to spend, and Capricorn is challenged to leave their work. Libra could be helped by diplomatic Gemini or friendly Aquarius.

March 10: The Sun and Moon are at odds again today, with Libra and Pisces off balance, although it is a day when everybody experiences interruptions. The demand is for cooperation or attention to another. Cancer, Aries and Capricorn are the most affected. Gemini and Aquarius can again bring diplomacy and detachment to the situation. Later in the day people cooperate.

March 11: The Moon goes into Scorpio at 00:24 and the energy is now focused and intense. Adjustments need to be made in the morning, especially between Scorpio and Aries. There are financial negotiations through the afternoon, especially between Scorpio and Taurus, with maybe Leo and Aquarius becoming involved. This is followed by the opportunity for resolution and success, especially with Scorpio, Capricorn and Virgo.

March 12: The Sun and Moon are harmonious, so enjoy the day. Scorpio and Pisces are favored, followed by Cancer, Taurus and Capricorn. Jupiter and Pluto are in harmony exactly today and should bring financial stability from a retracted currency. There could be overtures for peace offered by older, stable countries. These countries could be of the signs Taurus and Capricorn. Countries have birthdays based upon their constitution, so they have signs. The United States’ birthday is July fourth, making her a Cancer country.

March 12: Mercury goes retrograde in the sign of Aries. You know the precautions: not a wise time to sign papers or make agreements. The electrical components of mechanical things go awry. Aries may find yourself more jumpy than usual, and you need to be careful of making promises or agreements that you will not be able to finish.

March 13: The Moon goes into Sagittarius at 01:54 and the energy is now focused on foreign affairs and travel, lightening up from the intensity of Scorpio. Venus and Pluto are in harmony, revealing this is the right time for the financial situation evidenced on March 12 (yesterday) to go forward for a positive resolution. Taurus and Capricorn are favored, followed by Virgo.

March 14: Busy day! There could be a shrinking of the money supply, but it is stable. Working out the details is good today. The quiet person in charge of the analyzation or specifics is working harmoniously in foreign negotiations which could be about money. That same person is successful in long-range planning and perhaps peacemaking. The planets cooperatively involved are Venus, Jupiter, Mars and Pluto. There could be some kind of peace regarding the international nuclear situation. This could mean the Virgo nation takes charge to broker details; the Taurus nation could pull back or stabilize money. Personally if you are a Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn today should be successful, not only for yourself, but you can help all situations. Late in the day there is a quarter Moon in the signs of Sagittarius and Pisces, indicating emotions are out of synch with the practical matters at hand. Sagittarius can be too over-reaching, Pisces could be too unrealistic. This is minor compared with the earthly, common-sense benefits of the other planets.

March 15: The Moon goes into Capricorn at 05:23 shifting the energy to the sensible or practical. The day begins in harmony with a few changes in yesterday’s plans. It ends with a good plan or project that is integrated and agreed upon.

March 16: Thank goodness, a quiet, good day. Capricorn and Taurus are favored followed by Virgo. Emotions are calm and affairs are practical.

March 17: Early there is an opportunity to put the practical and the creative together successfully. Capricorn and Pisces get along. The Moon goes into Aquarius at 11:11, when the energy shifts from only work to include groups. Personally being with friends is good. The day and evening is fun and good for parties, gatherings and doing something a little impulsive. Aquarius and Aries are favored, followed by Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius.

March 18: The person in authority with the creative or ideal project causes the basic plan to be adjusted. Pisces may be pushing Libra, a surprise. The day requires all to adjust to interruptions that may seem to be impractical. This is good to get the focus away from too much work. There is a sudden and unexpected announcement that could be about firearms, the auto industry or about an Aries country. Your Aries friends could unexpectedly announce something unusual. Libra could feel unbalanced, with Cancer and Capricorn experiencing a day full of verbal challenges. Leo and Sagittarius have a great day; Gemini and Aquarius have the opportunity for adventure; Pisces and Taurus are neutral, with Virgo and Scorpio adjusting to the interruptions which may seem audacious.

March 19: The Moon goes into Pisces and aligns with Neptune, Pisces patron planet. Of course, we cannot see that in the sky but the influence is there. Pisces have a wonderful day and today would be good to get away. Virgo may be irritated because of vagueness, Cancer and Scorpio have a good day with creativity. Taurus and Capricorn have the opportunity to help the creative ones ground their project. Gemini and Sagittarius may be irritated, but could join Pisces in an escapist activity and have fun. Aquarius and Aries are neutral; Leo and Libra can adapt to a soft, creative time.

March 20: The Sun goes into Aries, the first day of spring at 00:14. The Sun will join Uranus in the sign of Aries, so the following month could be full of changes. This is the time for Aries to present your good projects and catalyze others, but try not to cause too much consternation for your Libra friends. Cancer and Capricorn enjoy the month of challenges. Leo and Sagittarius can take advantage of being in the right place at the right time for creativity, travel and honors. Gemini and Aquarius have opportunities for unexpected social activities. Libra can expect opposition to any requests for joint projects; your other wants to do it alone. Pisces and Taurus are neutral. Virgo and Scorpio adjust to the catalyzing and could resent not having enough time to think.

March 21: There is direct, challenging communication. The leader is quick and impulsive and may not have all the facts. That is okay, they will come later. Libra can expect blunt speech and possible challenges. Cancer and Capricorn (again or still) have challenging communications. Leo and Sagittarius enjoy the direct, creative ideas. Gemini and Aquarius have the opportunity to be diplomatic and present ideas for the benefit of all. Pisces and Taurus are neutral. Virgo and Scorpio again adjust to impulsiveness. Aries is super-energized today and could antagonize others if you are not careful.

March 22: The Moon goes into Aries at 04:57 and creates the new Moon at 09:37. We now have the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Uranus in Aries. Whew! Be ready for an energized day. Aries is busy initiating things, Libra is experiencing possible opposition, certainly not cooperation. Cancer and Capricorn have a busy, challenging day, but you enjoy this. Leo can administer, Sagittarius can present the foreign aspect, Gemini can help Aries see other points of view and Aquarius can manage the group. Again, Virgo and Scorpio have to accommodate what you think are too-impetuous ideas. Pisces and Taurus are neutral again. By the end of the day, everybody is tired.

March 23: Mercury backs into Pisces. This will slow the ideas somewhat. Since Mercury is retrograde some of the ideas presented yesterday may have glitches, but will have the opportunity to come to fruition after April 16.

March 24: There is unplanned Aries energy today; expect changes. The same relationships of March 22 apply today and it’ll be busy. The Moon goes into Taurus at 16:43, helping to calm things and bring common sense to the day. Instead of being neutral, Taurus is favored to manage the money and offer stabile and common sense. Late in the day there is an opportunity for the creative project to be funded.

March 25: Good, practical day that favors Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, followed by Cancer and Pisces. Practical projects go very smoothly and the day is relatively quiet. The Moon and Jupiter are together in the sky, so go outside and look up for a beautiful display.

March 26: Discombobulated, off-balance day when you need to adjust to interruptions and accommodate others. The one in authority is expecting too much from the one who handles the details, which irritates the detail person. Communications are not clear and anger the one responsible for keeping things harmonious. Be flexible today and go along with the requests and all will be okay. The Moon, Venus and Jupiter are together in the sky, continuing the beautiful sky show. They are in the sign of Taurus, which both the Moon and Venus love, so expect your love, money and sex to be good even though the practical part of your day may have been off a little.

March 27: The Moon goes into Gemini at 05:42. In the morning someone may not show up, followed by a mild change of plans which are challenged. The Sun and Moon then come into cooperation, with your day ending with the opportunity for your ideas or conversation to be understood and accepted.

March 28: Ideas or talk is not understood and it seems to be a weird day. Remember that Mercury is still retrograde and try not to take it seriously.

March 29: Very challenging day with confrontational situations. The established entity or person is the stronger, so don’t push too hard. The most difficulty is between Aries and Capricorn, followed by Cancer and Libra. There could be war-mongering from an imprudent younger nation. However, communication should be good, with the opportunity for an ideal to be presented and accepted by either a Taurus nation or about money. Personally, use your powers of conciliation to alleviate any confrontation around you. Those who can help today are Pisces, Gemini and Taurus. The Moon goes into Cancer at 18:06.

March 30: Quarter Moon in the signs of Cancer and Aries, who will be the most challenged, followed by Libra and Capricorn. Expect a busy day with the possibly of a confrontation between noon and 1:00 p.m. There is the opportunity for peace in the afternoon.

March 31: A day full of interruptions which you have to accommodate. The leader is obsessed with detail and pushes everyone for such. Money is tight and you need to adapt to that. Late in the evening, it becomes congenial.

General Forecast for February 2012

Remember that Mars is still retrograde; and goes direct on April 13. Mechanical things are still prone to malfunction, such as my broken toaster when the switch to push the toast down stopped working. I have not taken the time to take it apart to see if I can fix it, another Mars retrograde non-happening.

Neptune goes into Pisces again on February 3. Neptune went into Pisces on April 4, 2011 and was there through August 5, 2011, staying at zero degrees Pisces during that time. Neptune will be in the sign of Pisces through March 30, 2025.

Now let’s do the day by day planetary happenings for February, the month of Valentine’s Day and the sign of Aquarius. To read about the Sun in Aquarius, please click here. Feb 1. The Moon goes into Gemini at 14:13 and conversation picks up. There could be slight contention between love relationships because one wants closeness and the other wants or needs to work. This is especially noticeable between Pisces and Virgo, with Gemini and Sagittarius in a lesser way.

Feb 2. The Sun and Moon get along wonderfully, so your day should be full of good communications and time with friends. Favored are Gemini and Aquarius, followed by Libra.

Feb 3. Neptune goes into Pisces through 2025. It will be at zero degrees, so if you have a planet or point in your chart at zero degrees it will be touched off by Neptune. If your birthday is between the 21^st or 22^nd of most months, your Sun or Sign will most likely be at zero degrees. The month of February, though, sees the beginning of Pisces on February 19, giving a person with that birthday a zero degree Sun in their chart. If you are a water sign of Pisces, Cancer or Scorpio, this should bring you a creative time. If you are an earth sign, you should experience opportunities for creative expression. However, if you are the earth sign of Virgo, Neptune could bring you a relationship that seems perfect but could be with someone who is emotionally unavailable, so wait it out. Feb 5. The Sun and Moon are in a weird relationship, indicating a day full of interruptions, asking you to accommodate others; it is best to be flexible. Later in the day there is an opportunity to work on a stalled project.

Feb 6. The Moon goes into Leo at 08:22 and the energy changes to drama, creativity and management of the what may have been started a few days ago. There could be an hour of financial control issues late afternoon and all returns to a good calm.

Feb 7. Busy day. There is the full Moon in the signs of Leo and Aquarius, indicating control issues. Leo and Aquarius have the most prominent stress, followed by Taurus and Scorpio. The areas of the body indicated with this full Moon are the heart, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and the calves of the legs. Aquarius is especially strong today, possibly forcing change, which upsets those who don’t like change unless they initiate it. People around Aquarius either facilitate the change, resist or go along. It is a beneficial day for group endeavors if those involved are detached from the outcome of the project. Gemini and Libra should have opportunities to have successful group activities. Aries and Sagittarius could bring humor and creativity to the control issues. Cancer and Capricorn adjust to the drama. Feb 8. The Moon goes into Virgo at 12:31 and attention turns to detail and cleaning. Venus goes into Aries through March 5. Your loved one may independently arrange a romantic experience: enjoy. Aries are romantically and creatively active. Libra could experience your loved one wanting to be on their own; it is okay. Cancer and Capricorn could experience impulsive romantic interludes coming from your loved one, or unexpected changes that are pleasant. Feb 9. Innovative or group plans are tweaked or adjusted to the necessity of details, and may be scaled down just a little. Communication from advanced ideas seem too unusual. There are impulsive proposals for change and may be without good planning. However, an impulsive time with friends is a good time. The Sun and Moon are in the weird relationship close to midnight and the disruptions may not be noticed.

Feb 10. A busy day with energy scattered and unconnected. There could be misunderstanding between men or the one in authority with the one leading a project. There is mild contention with everything, including with or about women. The Moon goes into Libra at 14:53. Attention turns to getting along and trying to balance things. Libra is conciliatory most of the time.

Feb 11. If you are busy very early in the morning, there is about half an hour of stress and challenge over who is in charge, after which the day is neutral, which is good.

Feb 12. The Sun and Moon are harmonious, and favor Libra and Aquarius. The Moon goes into Scorpio at 17:01 when the energy becomes more focused and intense. The day is focused yet harmonious.

Feb 13. Mercury goes into Pisces through April 16, going retrograde March 12. Thinking and conversation are intuitive or creative. Pisces, this is a good time to present new ideas and plans. Virgo may have difficult communications because the others are too vague. However, Virgo can help the implementation of creative ideas and plans by providing the practical details. Cancer and Scorpio are in the right place at the right time for being involved with creative projects and you are psychic or intuitive. Taurus and Capricorn have the opportunity to interact with the creative ideas by helping to stay within the budget and on the plan. Libra and Scorpio adjust to seemingly vague thinking, but it is really creative. Aquarius and Aries are neutral. Gemini and Sagittarius can enjoy the creativity if it concerns vacations or social life, otherwise you are irritated by the vagueness.

Feb 14. Valentine’s Day. Today is especially good for Pisces to reach out. Everybody is intuitive and can read minds. The other side of the energy is the possibly of omission of facts. Today is a quarter Moon in the signs of Scorpio and Aquarius who can experience control issues, meaning who is controlling the money and who is controlling the group. Leo and Taurus could be drawn into the stress. The Moon goes into Sagittarius at 19:56, lightening up the day with humor and peace-making. The weather could be iffy; be prepared for circumstances that change romantic or social plans. There is a lot of Sagittarius today, meaning your loved one could seem to want freedom, but is really wanting friendly romance.

Feb 15. Challenging and intense relationships, especially between Aries and Capricorn, followed by Cancer and Libra. Your loved one wants an impulsive or sudden interlude, and you may want to stay at work or pay attention to practical matters. Both are possible.

Feb 16. Creative and inventive communication is quietly, although eagerly, accepted and discussed, especially between Pisces and Taurus. Feb 17. Moon goes into Capricorn at 00:03 and throughout the day, down-to-earth discussions and plans are successful, with a strong focus about 15:41. Capricorn is favored today, followed by Taurus and Virgo.

Feb 18. Group endeavors featuring advance innovations can be cooperative implemented. Communication is good, with the opportunity for creative ideas to be integrated with the long-range plan. Favored today are Aquarius and Libra, and Pisces and Capricorn.

Feb 19. The Sun goes into Pisces through March 20, joining Mercury and Neptune. Boy, what a creative, intuitive day and is also a great day for an escape! This is the month for Pisces to reach out with your projects. Virgo can expect an interaction with someone who needs compassion or others escaping and feeling lonely. Cancer and Scorpio have a wonderful month with creativity going well. Taurus and Capricorn have this time being opportunity to help the creative projects manifest. Gemini and Sagittarius may be annoyed with vagueness, but could utilize this time for a vacation. Leo and Libra adjust to the softness or indefinite attitude of others. Aries and Aquarius are neutral.

Feb 20 and Feb 21 are totally neutral days.

Feb 22. A day of mild disruption from an impulsive younger person who disturbs the one managing the detail. Aries and Virgo could be at odds with each other.

Feb 23. Possibility of testy communication because of lack of understanding, especially between Pisces and Virgo. Cancer and Scorpio can help Pisces; Capricorn and Taurus can help Virgo. Balance can be attained if creativity is appreciated, and detail or analyzation of the plan is utilized.

Feb 24. Another totally neutral day.

Feb 25. Good day for the expansion of creative projects. Great day for Pisces and Taurus, and indirectly for Leo and Sagittarius. The water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces can work together in the creative endeavor, and the earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn can provide the practical plan to implement the ideas. The person in authority is eager to cooperate with the managers and communicators.

Feb 26 and Feb 27 are more neutral days.

Feb 28. Excellent day for the one in authority to take the opportunity to work with the effective planner. Great day for Pisces and Capricorn, followed by Cancer and Scorpio; and Taurus and Virgo.

Feb 29. Neutral day again.

Mars Retrograde Experiences

Mars went retrograde on January 23. Since Mars "rules" men and mechanical things, how has it gone with you so far? It has been interesting here at my house. A kitchen faucet needed to be replaced. The plumber came to do what should have been a quick, easy job. After the new faucet was installed, hot water would not come out. The plumber double-checked everything and finally discovered that one of the hoses in the new faucet assembly had a hole in it and there was an additional block so hot water did not come out. He was good enough to return the faucet to get a replacement and all went smoothly after that. But... he spend double the time he should have and became very frustrated, although was gracious through the entire ordeal. This is typical: a mechanical assembly malfunctioned.

Powerful X2-class Solar Flare Today, Jan. 27th,

This is the third huge solar flare to radiate earth in a few days. How are you? If you are lethargic, grouchy or sleepy, it could be that the solar radiation is bombarding you so much your body has to slow down to assimilate and distribute the energy. Be patient with yourself. Your pets could be either lethargic or restless, too. My pet cat, Zena, has slept for three days instead of romping like she usually does. The story and links from NASA follow.

X-FLARE: Earth-orbiting satellites detected a powerful X2-class solar flare today, Jan. 27th, at 1837 UT (1:37 pm EST). The source was departing sunspot 1402. The blast produced a spectacular CME (not Earth directed) and accelerated energetic protons toward Earth. A low-level radiation storm is now in progress around our planet. Today, January 23 at 1954 Eastern Time Mars goes retrograde while being bombarded by the CME.

Astrologically, what does this all mean? The new Moon in Aquarius was this morning at 09:39 Eastern Time. This means the solar bombardment is electrically charging the already electric sign of Aquarius. Your Aquarian friends may be especially excited and erratic for the next few days, through Wednesday or Thursday. Leo could experience unexpected strong opposition or be totally ignored these few days. Taurus and Scorpio could be involved in financial control issues; try not to settle anything, because after the energy from the flare leaves, things will settle down. Gemini and Libra can most easily handle the energy, but may have unexpected happenings with social activities. Aries and Sagittarius can be charged from the frenetic activity from their friends. Jan 1: The New Year begins with a quarter Moon in the signs of Aries and Capricorn, revealing a day with a lot of activity and possible many wanting to be in charge. Mercury is disagreeing with Mars, too, so right after midnight there could be spirited conversations. Perhaps you are talking with people from far away who either all or drop in unexpectedly.

Jan 2: The Moon goes into Taurus at 17:15 and the day is much calmer. You may want to review 2011's finances to see where you have to spend less in 2012.

Waking up before sunrise can be tough to do, especially on a weekend. On Saturday, Dec. 10th, you might be glad you did. A total eclipse of the Moon will be visible in the early morning skies of western Northern America.

The action begins around 4:45 am Pacific Standard Time when the red shadow of Earth first falls across the lunar disk. By 6:05 am Pacific Time, the Moon will be fully engulfed in red light. This event—the last total lunar eclipse until 2014—is visible from the Pacific side of North America, across the entire Pacific Ocean to Asia and Eastern Europe. Aside from the beauty of the eclipse, what would this mean to you? Even though an eclipse cannot be seen in your location, the energy of it can be noticeable. The degree of this full Moon eclipse is 18 degree Gemini 11 minutes. The Moon is in Gemini and the Sun is in Sagittarius. Mercury is still retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius, the opposite sign of Gemini, which reveals tension. There can be unexpected glitches in communication on December 10, especially with travel arrangements, foreign relations and dealing with cousins and in-laws. There could be disagreements because of a lack of attention to details. Eclipses act like triggers, so if you already have an eleven-degree planet or point in your chart, it could be activated by the energy of the eclipse.

Mercury is the planet closest to the Sun and revolves around the Sun more quickly than the other planets. Since it is faster than the others, there are times when it seems to go backwards. This can be compared to a faster-moving train passing a slower-moving train. The sensation of the people in the slower-moving train is that they are going backwards, which feels weird. This is what a Mercury retrograde time-period is like: weird. Mercury is the planet which rules, or is associated with, communication, especially the written word and contracts and electrical things. When Mercury is retrograde, when things glitch or go wrong, it is most likely because of an electrical malfunction, especially printers. If you purchased something electrical during a retrograde Mercury time-period, it could malfunction during a subsequent Mercury retrograde time-period.

Be very careful of signing papers and contracts, because there is the possibly there is a mistake which will be noticed during the next Mercury retrograde time-period. An example is the story of a friend who experienced a divorce which was final during a Mercury retrograde time. About a year later, during another Mercury retrograde time, his wife took him to court for more money. I recommended that he wait until after Mercury retrograde, but he “did not want astrology to rule his life.” His wife was awarded more money. This happened two more times, under two different Mercury retrograde times, and she received more money from him each time. One day he came to me, asking when Mercury would be retrograde, because she was taking him to court again, for yet more money; this time she asked for more than he earned or had. He took the advice and scheduled his court appearance after Mercury went direct. The judge not only denied her the latest request, but adjusted the payments to her for an amount he could give and still pay rent and eat. He was grateful for the information and did not criticize astrology any more.

Mercury is retrograde this time in Sagittarius, the sign of travel, foreign contacts, publishing and import/export. If you know you will travel during that time, it is wise for you to make your plans now, if you can. If you do travel between Nov. 24 and Dec 13, expect changes to your plans and be flexible.

The sign most impacted is Sagittarius, of course. They may not believe it can happen to them, but Sagittarius is a most flexible sign, so travel will be okay. A Sagittarius would experience the changes as an adventure. However, if you are a Sagittarius please ask someone to double-check the details in any contract, or delay signing until after December 13. Gemini can experience mistakes in communication, so be careful and pay attention. Virgo can have a most irritating time of it because others are careless about details, and Pisces may not be paying attention at all. Aries and Leo have an easier time of it and can benefit from changes if you are flexible and creative. Getting your own way does not work during this three-week period. Libra can have changes in social plans - ouch! - do not panic, it is okay, just be your gracious self. Aquarius can have fun changes with friends. Cancer and Taurus adjust to changes in communication and perhaps interruptions. Flow with it. Scorpio and Capricorn are somewhat neutral with glitches, but not entirely so.

Remember that if your car, computer, printer or other electrical things malfunction, check the electrical connections. Be very careful - or better yet - do not sign papers until after December 13.

GEOMAGNETIC STORM: A strong –to-severe geomagnetic storm is in progress following the impact of a coronal mass ejection (CME) today, Sept. 26th, at approximately 12:15 UT. Analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab report a "strong compression of Earth's magnetosphere" and the possibility that satellites in geosynchronous orbit have been exposed to solar wind plasma and magnetic fields. Mid-to high-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras after nightfall. If you go to the site and look to the left, you can see that the aurora area comes down 2/3 of the United States. What does this mean to you?

Strong solar flares press the earth’s protective envelop, compressing energy which all nature, including us, feels. Some of you who are very sensitive get tired and some of you are energized. It would depend on your sensitivity and your sign on how you may feel it.

The energy of this storm is coming through the Libra constellation to the earth. Libran’s should be aware of extra energy that can either excite or depress you. Virgo is interested in being clean, fussily putting everything in order, attempting perfection and creating and talking about everything in great detail. Spaceships, Meteors, and Moonlight

August 9, 2011: Bright moonlight streams through your window. A nugget of space debris disintegrates in a sparkling fireball. A huge spaceship glides silently overhead.

By itself, any one of these events might be enough to get you out of bed. This weekend, all three are going to happen at the same time.

On August 12th and 13th, as the Moon waxes full, the International Space Station will glide over US towns and cities during the peak of the annual Perseid meteor shower.

The meteor shower is already underway. Earth is passing through a broad stream of debris from Comet Swift-Tuttle, and specks of comet dust are hitting the top of Earth's atmosphere at 140,000 mph. These disintegrating meteors stream out of the constellation Perseus--hence the name "Perseids." According to the International Meteor Organization, worldwide observers now are counting more than a dozen Perseids per hour with more to come on August 12-13 when Earth passes near the heart of the debris stream.

Experts note that moonlight and meteor showers don't mix. Indeed, the great number of faint Perseids that observers would normally count in a dark year will be invisible in 2011 with the Moon glaring overhead. On the bright side--no pun intended--any Perseid that does manage to pierce the glare is likely to be a fireball. These are caused by relatively big pieces of debris disintegrating in flashes too bright to be subdued. It's not unusual to see at least a few Perseid shadow-casters on peak night.

Perseid meteors can appear any time Perseus is above the horizon--i.e., between about 10 pm and sunrise. The best time to look is during the hours before dawn especially on Saturday morning, August 13th. The full Moon will be relatively low, and the meteor rate should be peaking at that time.

Before dawn is also the time of the ISS. All week long and into the weekend, the International Space Station will be making a series of early-morning flybys over the United States. The massive spacecraft glides silently among the stars, shining so brightly that moonlight and even city lights have little affect on its visibility. You simply cannot miss it if you know when to look. Check NASA's ISS Tracker for local flyby times. Several major cities are favored with flybys on August 12th and 13th including Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, New York and others.

THE D.C. DRAMA

Everyone in the world with the Internet, a radio, TV or newspaper knows of the critical situation in the United States House and Senate over the raising of the debt limit that is connected to reducing the debt.

This is a serious power play and is not over yet. To fully appreciate when this began, we need to go back to the beginning of a previous power play, which began astrologically March 9, repeated May 1 and December 26 in 2009 and again August 8 and October 9 in 2010. This was the beginning of forced power against the workforce and businesses when the government took over the automobile companies. Many car dealerships were forced to close, putting people out of work and throwing two of the companies into bankruptcy and government takeover. Some stock market firms and some big banks were the recipients of huge bailout monies. There was another astrological situation that indicated strong forces against the presidency in effect from January 8, 2009 through November 9, 2009. When this happened many Americans became alarmed at what was perceived as forced changes to the country that were outside the U.S. Constitution. This was more serious than was publicized because the Presidency itself, although the perceived aggressor, was in danger from strong, behind-the-scenes forces, which continue. The effect of the government action was that many previously uninterested American voters became involved in politics, out of which came the Tea Party movement, with Tea Party Republicans elected to the House and Senate in the 2010 elections.

The above power play was a repeat of the situation in 1763, when the Proclamation of 1763 was proclaimed by King George III. (see below).

Now to the current crisis, which actually began January 17, repeated July 8 and will not be over until after November 20 of this year of 2011. This is another power play, this time forced by the elected Tea Party Republicans, whose philosophy, if not their tactics, are backed by many Americans. This means the power is coming from the people, not from the presidency, but the Tea Party power was ignited by the actions of the government in 2009. This situation is powerful, determined and aggressive and will not back down. It seems there is agreement and a resolution, but this will not be sure until after the November 20 date. This current power play, which began January 17 this year is a repeat of an astrological transit with Pluto that began January 5, 1765 and ended November 5, 1765. (see below).

Almost simultaneously, the states are enacting laws to protect themselves against illegal immigration and crime, stating that the federal government is not protecting them. In turn, the United States federal government is suing the states for encroaching on federal power and laws. This is eerily similar to the situation between Britain and the Colonies in the 1760's. History does repeat itself and we are living it. In this case America is repeating, or re-living, situations similar to those experienced in 1765, when the Stamp Act was a trigger for the American Revolution and led to the Boston Tea Party.

The Stamp Act of 1765 (short title Duties in American Colonies Act 1765; 5 George III, c. 12) was a direct tax imposed by the British Parliament specifically on the colonies of British America. The act required that many printed materials in the colonies be produced on stamped paper produced in London, carrying an embossed revenue stamp. These printed materials were legal documents, magazines, newspapers and many other types of paper used throughout the colonies. Like previous taxes, the stamp tax had to be paid in valid British currency, not in colonial paper money. The purpose of the tax was to help pay for troops stationed in North America after the British victory in the Seven Years' War. The British government felt that the colonies were the primary beneficiaries of this military presence, and should pay at least a portion of the expense.

The Stamp Act met great resistance in the colonies. The colonies sent no representatives to Parliament, and therefore had no influence over what taxes were raised, how they were levied, or how they would be spent. Many colonists considered it a violation of their rights as Englishmen to be taxed without their consent—consent that only the colonial legislatures could grant. Colonial assemblies sent petitions and protests. The Stamp Act Congress held in New York City, reflecting the first significant joint colonial response to any British measure, also petitioned Parliament and the King. Local protest groups, led by colonial merchants and landowners, established connections through correspondence that created a loose coalition that extended from New England to Georgia. Protests and demonstrations initiated by the Sons of Liberty often turned violent and destructive as the masses became involved. Very soon all stamp tax distributors were intimidated into resigning their commissions, and the tax was never effectively collected.

Opposition to the Stamp Act was not limited to the colonies. British merchants and manufacturers, whose exports to the colonies were threatened by colonial economic problems exacerbated by the tax, also pressured Parliament. The Act was repealed on March 18, 1766 as a matter of expedience, but Parliament affirmed its power to legislate for the colonies “in all cases whatsoever” by also passing the Declaratory Act. This incident increased the colonists' concerns about the intent of the British Parliament that helped the growing movement that became the American Revolution.

Importance of the Proclamation of 1763

On October 7, 1763, King George III issued a royal proclamation that caused a furor amongst the colonists. This Proclamation of 1763 closed lands north and west of the Appalachian Mountains to settlement. The goal of the British was to put a stop to conflicts that had arisen between the Native Americans and the colonists due to the French and Indian War. However, many colonists had purchased land or had been given land grants in that area in exchange for their military service during the war. Settlers began ignoring the Proclamation Line. Eventually, the colonists were able to get the line moved further west. This event was just the beginning of rising tensions between Great Britain and the colonies.

Astrologese: the planet Pluto is involved, which represents relentless, focused power dredging up hidden situations that need to be purged and transformed. In the situations described today and in 1763 and 1765, the types of planetary aspects represents relationships, or persons in strong, focused groups forcing change. America is repeating these Plutonian transits, which happen every 248 years. America is in the midst of the same type of process experienced before the American Revolution. In your personal life, it would be interpreted as a powerful person who would force you to end a certain activity or way of life to make way for a new, better way. After these processes are over, America will be changed and be stronger. The planets Saturn and Uranus are at currently work, too, indicating other changes going through March of 2012, but that would be too much for this article. Any Pluto transit in your chart will never repeat for you, unless you live to be 248 years old. How the retrograde planets work in your life

Planets move forward, they cannot actually move backwards. Several times a year, though, it appears like they do. It is like two trains going in the same direction on side-by-side tracks. When the faster train moves past the slower train, those sitting in the slower train feel like they are moving backwards, but they are not. This is the analogy for retrograde planets, they only seem to be traveling backwards. But.... they do go backwards in whatever sign they are going through. When Mercury, Venus and Mars do this, they can wreak havoc in the areas of your life they rule or are associated with. They also repeat the situation when they go retrograde the next time.

Mercury rules communications such as the phone, internet, newspapers, is associated with your siblings and written papers, especially legal papers. When it goes retrograde it is not a good time to sign papers or make agreements. The legal part of marriage is ruled by Mercury, so when it is retrograde it is possible the legal paperwork is not right. It rules electricity and electronic gadgets such as your computer, ipod and cell phone, so when it goes retrograde these gadgets can malfunction and be quite irritating. If you must sign legal papers as part of your job, make sure you re-check them after Mercury goes direct. If your car, printer or copier glitches, check the electronics first, it is most likely something simple but electrical. It is not wise to purchase anything electrical during this time because something hidden is wrong and will surface when Mercury goes retrograde the next time. This is not all difficult. Check to some of the previous Mercury retrograde times to see what good happened, knowing this will repeat, too. If you are a Gemini or Virgo, expect troublesome communication misunderstandings and travel glitches.

Venus rules love & marriage, partnerships, money, harmony and diplomacy and the finer things in life. When Venus goes retrograde, your money could slow down. It is good to look ahead and be sure you have enough money to pay your basic expenses during the time Venus is retrograde. There should be bargains in luxury goods. If you have plenty of money coming in, there could be unexpected expenses forcing you to be at your basic financial level. Getting married now is not a good idea. If you are in a relationship that is not compatible, the differences will arise, asking you to re-evaluate the relationship and make adjustments or end it. If you are a Taurus, expect money control issues, if you are a Libra, expect challenging relationships. Relationship troubles are especially focused on the woman in the partnership. If you begin a new love relationship, something could be wrong with the woman’s reason for being with you, which will surface the next time Venus goes retrograde.

Mars rules projects, sex, men and machines, war, fighting, fires and sometimes explosions. When Mars goes retrograde, expect glitches with your mechanical things. If the car, printer or copier malfunction, it would be mechanical. Difficulties with men usually surface now, producing arguments. If you are in a romantic relationship, the sexual part of the relationship could die down because your man is tired from working with all those machines, this should be temporary. If you have ignored sexual difficulties they will surface now, forcing evaluation or the relationship could end. During the long Mars retrograde time your projects slow almost to a halt and time seems to stand still. Now is the time to evaluate the project’s plans, fix anything and be ready for a push forward when Mars goes direct. If you are an Aries, be careful of accidents because you are in a hurry and time is slow. If you are a Scorpio, be careful of misinterpreting others’ motives, resulting in your wanting to get even, causing unnecessary hard feelings. If you begin a new love relationship, something could be wrong with the man’s reason for being with you, and after Mars goes direct, he could be impotent, the excitement having worn off.

Musing about fires and floods

For some reason I was thinking during my first cup of coffee (now on the second), that the United States is being renewed. The fires in Texas, Arizona and now New Mexico will renew the land, so crops and grasses will grow more vigorously. The Indians used to fire the land on a regular basis and then let it lie fallow for a year to have better crops. The floods down the Mississippi seem like the Nile floods, bringing soil down the banks to fertilize the land for their crops. When the big earthquake/tsunami hit Indonesia years ago, the scientists said the land would be barren for a long time because of pollution from the ocean. The natives apparently did not hear that and planted anyway and the resulting crops were better than before. So, the stuff from the bottom of the ocean fertilized the land. It is like volcanic eruptions: a few years later the land is more fertile, with plants and trees growing well. The best coffee in the world is grown on volcanic soil. That is what is happening now. But… the people need to get out of the way and let nature change and rejuvenate the land for us. Actually, mankind should not have been in the way to begin with. Getting out of the way is the hard part; mankind thinks we can control nature, but she occasionally says enough is enough. I wonder if Shakespeare was thinking of nature, too, when he wrote, “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”

Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are very close together between May 11 and May 17. Expect sudden, impulsive, somewhat exaggerated communication and responses. Please send your prayers of love and gratitude to water at the nuclear plants in Fukushima, Japan!

By the massive earthquakes of Magnitude 9 and surreal massive tsunamis, more than 10,000 people are still missing…even now… It has been 16 days already since the disaster happened. What makes it worse is that water at the reactors of Fukushima Nuclear Plants started to leak, and it’s contaminating the ocean, air and water molecule of surrounding areas.

Human wisdom has not been able to do much to solve the problem, but we are only trying to cool down the anger of radioactive materials in the reactors by discharging water to them.

Is there really nothing else to do?

I think there is. During over twenty year research of hado measuring and water crystal photographic technology, I have been witnessing that water can turn positive when it receives pure vibration of human prayer no matter how far away it is.

MERCURY GOES RETROGRADE MARCH 30, DIRECT APRIL 23.
This storm precedes a retrograde Mercury by only two days. Mercury goes retrograde on the 30th of March at 24 degrees of Aries and the Solar storm will intensify the normal glitches of the retrograde. By now you are aware that a retrograde Mercury causes communication and electrical malfunctions, and this solar storm will intensify them. It is already evident to me that cell phone reception has more of an echo and has more hiccups and cracklings than usual. When you have a reading with me, I use a land line with a cord connecting the receiver and the phone base for clear reception, and your reading is recorded on a little MP3 recorder. The MP3 picks up the echo and cracklings of a cell phone, which you can hear when you listen to your reading. The past day there has been more noise and hiccups, and the solar radio storm explains it.

The usual cautions of a retrograde Mercury are: be careful, and avoid if at all possible, contracts or written agreements, and try to put off purchasing electrical things. Why? Because eventually mistakes in your agreement will be revealed and you have to go through the hassle of having them corrected. Electrical gadgets may be okay until the next retrograde Mercury time and then need to be replaced, which is another hassle.

Does this affect everybody? Yes, but this retrograde cycle will affect Aries and Libra the most. Aries are impulsive anyway, and Aries with birthdays March 21, 22 and 23 are under the radiation of Uranus in Aries now, which makes them more impulsive and in a hurry to create change. Add a retrograde Mercury in the same sign, and Aries could do their usual of going where angels fear to tread, and in their excitement, forget to double-check agreements and contracts, thereby setting up having to re-do them in August when the next retrograde Mercury time is. Aries is the opposite of Libra, which means Libra could get angry with their loved one because of the loved one's impulsively signing contracts without consulting them or buying an electrical something that will malfunction. The Libra people affected most are those with birthdays September 23, 24 and 25.

Of course, if you have a planet, your ascendant or midheaven at either 24 or 12 degrees of Aries, that area of your horoscope and your life could be stimulated by the retrograde Mercury, and you could experience more communication regarding it. but, be careful and triple-check it now and again after Mercury goes direct on April 23.

If you have anything electrical that malfunctions, remember that it is the electronic component that is malfunctioning, not the entire unit. If your car, printer, copier, or whatever has a glitch, it is electronic, not mechanical, so you know to check those components first.

Also, email could have glitches, which I am already experiencing. It will straighten out after Mercury goes direct on April 23 at 12 degrees Aries. My experience is that the most irritating of all is printers, which act strangely under a retrograde Mercury. All one is to do is work with it until April 23 when it will seem to magically straighten out. The previous retrograde Mercury time was between Dec 10 and Dec 30, 2010; which gives you a time to look back to and learn what happened then.

Super Full Moon

What could you expect astrologically from a super full moon? It may be a bit more energetic than a "regular" full moon, but we'll have to see about that. This full moon is in the signs of Virgo and Pisces, meaning people of those signs are the most likely to over-react emotionally. Those of you who work in the medical and law enforcement fields know the full moon days are very busy with accidents, etc. The areas of the body associated with this full moon are the duodenal and upper bowel part of the digestive system, the eyes and the feet. People of the signs of Gemini and Sagittarius may be irritated and nervous today. Taurus, Capricorn, Cancer and Scorpio can be the ones to have common-sense solutions and soothe emotions. Libra and Leo can take charge and administrate emergencies, Aries and Aquarius can rise to the emergency and direct the group.

Mark your calendar. On March 19th, a full Moon of rare size and beauty will rise in the east at sunset. It's a super "perigee moon"--the biggest in almost 20 years.

"The last full Moon so big and close to Earth occurred in March of 1983," says Geoff Chester of the US Naval Observatory in Washington DC. "I'd say it's worth a look."

Full Moons vary in size because of the oval shape of the Moon's orbit. It is an ellipse with one side (perigee) about 50,000 km closer to Earth than the other (apogee): diagram. Nearby perigee moons are about 14% bigger and 30% brighter than lesser moons that occur on the apogee side of the Moon's orbit.

"The full Moon of March 19th occurs less than one hour away from perigee--a near-perfect coincidence¹ that happens only 18 years or so," adds Chester.

A perigee full Moon brings with it extra-high "perigean tides," but this is nothing to worry about, according to NOAA. In most places, lunar gravity at perigee pulls tide waters only a few centimeters (an inch or so) higher than usual. Local geography can amplify the effect to about 15 centimeters (six inches)--not exactly a great flood.

The Moon looks extra-big when it is beaming through foreground objects--a.k.a. "the Moon illusion."

Indeed, contrary to some reports circulating the Internet, perigee Moons do not trigger natural disasters. The "super moon" of March 1983, for instance, passed without incident. And an almost-super Moon in Dec. 2008 also proved harmless.

Okay, the Moon is 14% bigger than usual, but can you really tell the difference? It's tricky. There are no rulers floating in the sky to measure lunar diameters. Hanging high overhead with no reference points to provide a sense of scale, one full Moon can seem much like any other.

The best time to look is when the Moon is near the horizon. That is when illusion mixes with reality to produce a truly stunning view. For reasons not fully understood by astronomers or psychologists, low-hanging Moons look unnaturally large when they beam through trees, buildings and other foreground objects. On March 19th, why not let the "Moon illusion" amplify a full Moon that's extra-big to begin with? The swollen orb rising in the east at sunset may seem so nearby, you can almost reach out and touch it.

Don't bother. Even a super perigee Moon is still 356,577 km away. That is, it turns out, a distance of rare beauty.

If you are a Taurus or Pisces, this should be fairly neutral for you. Libra can expect change in relationships. You may experience people quickly coming into and leaving your life. Please don’t panic. Someone leaving your life could be as simple as a child going off to college, thereby giving you more freedom. Leo and Sagittarius are in the right place at the right time for relatively easy change that brings you freedom. Gemini and Aquarius have opportunities for change to bring you freedom. Remember that an opportunity means you need take the initiative when your intuition says to, and to accept an opportunity when it presents itself. Not acting means it could not be noticed, with you stuck in old, outworn circumstances. Virgo and Scorpio need to continually adjust to changing circumstances out of your control. Neither of you like things out of your control or to adjust, but in order to be physically and financially healthy it is wise for you to be flexible and make the necessary tweaks in your life to make you a little free. Freedom means the feeling of being free or experiencing joy or exhilaration within your circumstances. The astrology books may say it is destructive, but it is only destructive if you try to prevent the change. Freedom could mean moving to a better location, moving to a new, better relationship, or allowing freedom to someone else. Freedom and change is as individual as you are. Venus and the Moon tonight 3/1

Look up in the sky tonight to see a beautiful crescent moon with bright Venus joining her. At this time of the month, Venus is the evening star. At 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Venus will go into the sign of Aquarius, joining the moon in the sign of Aquarius through March 3. These two planets, each of which represents women or the feminine, are in the sign of friendship. What can you expect? Aquarius should expect an urge to reach out to friends for good social times. Gemini and Libra should expect to be in the right place at the right time for friends to include you in their plans. Aries and Sagittarius can expect the opportunity to be with friends, but you need to accept to have a most pleasant time. Cancer and Virgo may experience a slight change in social plans and if you go along you will have a better time than you expected. Leo may experience your loved one more interested in having friends around than of being alone with you. If you accept the friendliness, you will have a good time. Capricorn can be neutral, but it would be a welcome change from your corporate grind or family responsibilities to have a fun social time. Jupiter, Uranus and the World Situation

Jupiter went into Aries again on January 22, 2011, and will be in Aries until June 4, 2011. Jupiter was in Aries between June 7 and September 8 last year (2010) when the idealism and leadership for what we are seeing now was initiated.

Jupiter in the sign of Aries indicates courage and action in spiritual, social and educational areas. Actions are accompanied by enthusiasm and self-confidence, thereby inspiring confidence in others and arousing them to action.

Aries is associated with war, combat, guns, fires; explosions, automobiles and risks. The area of the body associated with Aries is the head. You only need to look at the news to see how this is playing out. Aries is also idealistic and somewhat naive, sometimes not following new ideas to conclusion, like the young people who began the revolution.

Mars has been in the sign of Aquarius beginning January 16 and will be there until February 22. Mars is associated with war, combat, guns, fires; explosions, automobiles and risks, and being in the sign of Aquarius includes large groups who are idealistic and will fight for freedom and change.

Jupiter began to approach a stressful relationship with Pluto when it went into Aries Feb. 22, and is getting closer and closer to confrontation, with the exact date February 25. Between February 22 and March 2, the world situation may be even more tense. When Mars goes into Pisces on the Feb. 22nd, it begins a relationship with Pluto that indicates an opportunity for cooperation with the religious leaders. This is an opportunity, which means when the overture is given, it will be effective only if the opportunity is accepted. If it is ignored or rejected it will be a lost opportunity for a relatively cooperative change.

We could be looking at intermittent uprisings. Mars goes into Aries April 2 and will create a very challenging situation with Pluto and will then oppose Saturn. What does this mean in English? Possible aggressive challenge against the established rulers and laws by younger, idealistic and combative people. This could be in a different country from Egypt.

Of interest is that Uranus has been in the sign of Pisces since the middle of March, 2003 and will be there until March 13, this year of 2011. Whatever sign Uranus is traveling through it brings drastic change, causing upheaval in old, outworn or over-structured entities. Pisces is associated with religions, dependency and also creativity and imaging. Pluto represents death and regeneration. When these two planets are in this stressful relationship, situations can erupt, forcing change that is as permanent as it can be until this relationship repeats. For you history buffs: Uranus was in the sign of Aries and in a stressful relationship with Pluto from April of 1927 (joined by Jupiter in Aries from Jan. 1928 through May 1928) through March of 1935. There was world upheaval then and we should see world upheaval now. Things will certainly change.
