It’s Race Weekend and this Great Spectacle celebrates by discussing White Trash With Chainsaws. It’s amazing what people will go through just to open a beer.

And EVERY day is Carb Day when you’re a Junk Food Junkie. Tom wanted his Carbs for free via coupon, but is worried that a recent drive-through debate with the restaurant help led to secret spitting. Paul wants him to grow up and acknowledge his ridiculous paranoia, but instead…Tom (left) turns into a Big Boy. (And he DOESN’T do it the way Aunt Carol from New York wants him to.)

Maybe he’s not growing up, but he is growing old. Tom’s coming off a birthday that finds him pondering procedures for celebrating on Facebook. Paul used to aggressively celebrate viewer/listener birthdays. He was the Willard Scott of Facebook Weather. The episode closes with a discussion of restaurant cell phone etiquette. Gentlemen, stop your electronic engines!

It’s been at least a week since Tom’s done a Craigslist Road Trip, so fasten your seat belt: it’s gonna be a bumpy, sweaty, germ-riddled ride. Along the way the boys consider uniforms for school and for life.

The lights go out in the Paul Poteet Studio B Compound, and our co-host isn’t happy. He hates it when things conspire to be time-sucking abysses, and the surge of power coming and going takes out an old monitor and causes the tightwad to buy a new one. The new one exposes a weak link in the studio wiring, and several hours of Google-ing later, SOMEone is ready for red wine.

His uncharacteristic moodiness is making Tom nervous. Tom says Paul is a “verbal Rambo” when he’s edgy. Paul takes his audio AK-47 out on NBC and stakes out The Shack with a machine gun of Gab. Tom sings the praises of a good Man under your hood.

Breaking News: Tom has been experimenting with a different hairstyle! Paul thinks Tom’s trying to reduce the vertical distance of his horse-like face, but Tom’s got collars for that. Bonus: Paul endorses Mitt Romney, at least romantically. Finally: Tom’s Parent Paranoia has finally come true, and it all happened in a bathtub. Eww! Poo!

We discover Paul *does* get a little hate mail from time to time, but it seems to be weather related. He may end up hearing from Chaz Bono after reading the story of Warren Beatty’s transgendered son (we’re not making this up) dissing the Dancer. It gets really complicated. Hold on tight. And the same goes for surviving “quicksand.” Paul also has a story about a guy who got out of it just fine…just like (as Tom notes) “Bo” did on that one episode of “Days Of Our Lives.”

The boys talk about sleeping. And over-sleeping. And sleeping in. Paul notes there’s a lot of Social Media chatter about insomnia. Both of our hosts are early risers. Tom doesn’t like people who sleep in, and Paul can’t believe Tom never went through such a phase as a teen. Paul reveals his special “90 minute sleep cycle” theory.

Working overnights can mess up your sleep. A young Tom rescued a fellow DJ once in the middle of the night in the middle of a radio station. A young Paul fended off in-person late night requests for Molly Hatchet at WFBQ’s studios.

Speaking of falling, a guy fell to his death recently at a ball park, confirming Tom’s hatred of Big Sports. But Paul thinks Craigslist could pose more danger, given recent news stories.

We discover Paul is not very good at Casey Anthony talk. Tom thinks it’s because he’s a monster. Paul figures there will be another Trial Of The Century within a year, so maybe he’s pacing himself.
