Camera Rig

Wow I totally forgot I have a blog haha. Apparently people are still regularly visiting so I'll give a little update.

I've been working a TV production company as an editor the past 6 months and am now moving into camera work. I have also just bought myself a Cannon 5D MkII and a shoulder rig. I plan to use this for work in the future but for now I'll just practice and make shorts films or something.

Media Workstation

Over the past two weeks I've been putting together a good media setup for music and video editing. Now I can play and record music on keyboard using synths and virtual instruments. I can also plug in my guitar and use my computer to simulate an amplifier. I feel like a kid in a candy store :D

First TV show on air

I finished cutting my first hour long TV show yesterday and its going on air tomorrow at 12:30 on SBS if your in Australia.

Also I got my keyboard the other day, time to make some music.

Got a Piano Keyboard

I recently started learning piano on my crappy old keyboard from the nineties lol and found it pretty easy and fun so I bought a proper keyboard. I can plug this one into the computer and play synths and stuff so I hope to compose some ambient style music.

Here is the keyboard I bought, cost me $300 including a sustain pedal:

Epic Day

I just got a job as a full time editor! This is my first real job in the film and TV industry. The business I will be editing for cuts programs for a few channels here in Sydney.

I know its a bit late but I've been busy and sick. I started animating the directors cut of my 'Future Genesis' in which the main robot does not day and we get a hectic chase scene :D

Hi all,
If you've been following my blog you'll see that I entered in an animation competition which ran over a three month period. I put in a lot of hard work and won second place which is much better than I expected. The prize was $300 which I spent way to quickly :P

The animations that were entered into the competition should have been put up on the stickpage.com frontpage by now but there seems to be some delay. I'll make sure to post when it does turn up.

Also, I was working on a parody of the predator movies when I started this blog in march this year but have had several interruptions and have lost interest, I plan to attach the unfinished cartoon with my next animation whatever that is so look out for that.

"Future Genesis" - RELEASED

Hi all,
I have finally released my animation "future genesis". Lol, because I had to cut so much out in order to finish it in time the title no longer makes any sense and doesn't relate the the animation at all. I do plan to add another minute of footage over the holidays in order to redeem my lack of story. For now though, enjoy the film :D

I have now finished all the animation and rendering! I will now do the sound mix at school and I should have it up on youtube in a couple of weeks. I had to cut it drastically short though :( The ending is very abrupt and for lack of a better word...shit. But it will have to do for now. I might try and finish it in the break but it will be hard without the facilities I have at school.

After almost 2 weeks of rendering I've got just over 30 seconds done. I have to finish in about 6 weeks and I got just under that left in rendering time. It's gonna be close.
