As a Plymouth photographer, I have the opportunity to work with families and children of all ages throughout southeast Michigan. Most recently, I had the pleasure of working with Hanna and Liam for a portrait sessions.

We met at a nearby location in the early evening to capture some photos in the golden light. We were able to get a number of shots with the kids backlit by the setting sun as well as in the shade. I have been going through their proofs for the online gallery and they look amazing! I selected some of my favorites as a sneak peek below.

Class of 2011 Senior Portraits Specials

I can’t believe summer is officially over and school is back in already. But, I’m really excited because it means senior portraits season is here! As a professional senior pictures photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a ton of awesome Class of 2011 high school seniors this year already. From senior pictures with horses in June to senior pictures in the winter snow back in February, we all had a blast and captured memories that will last a lifetime!

If you are a member of the incoming Class of 2011 seniors and haven’t scheduled a session for your portraits yet, it’s a perfect time to take advantage of my Back to School senior photography special. Simply book your session before September 30, 2010 to take place any time before October 31, 2010 and you will receive $25 in Print Credits that can be used to purchase professional prints. As an award winning Metro Detroit Seniors photographer, I have the opportunity to work with incredible seniors throughout southeast Michigan as well as Indiana and Ohio. Most recently, I had a chance to work with Colin, a Dearborn Heights Crestwood High School Senior.

We selected a location close to their home and tore it up for a couple of hours on an overcast day to get some amazing shots. I’ve been going through his proofs and really love they way they turned out. I’m still in the process of reviewing everything, but selected a few for his sneak peek blog post. I first had the opportunity to work with Ben and Abby a little over a year ago for a session in Northville, Michigan. This year, we used a great location in Novi, MI for their annual portraits.

I photographed an amazing urban graffiti portrait session a couple of weeks ago for Sophie. She wanted an edgy graffiti session, and she got exactly that! This time, I had the opportunity to work with her sister, Lilly.

As I’ve mentioned before, I try to match up the photography location with my clients’ interests and personalities. While the urban graffiti location was perfect for Lilly, her sister was more of a typical fru fru little girl. So, we decided to use a location in Dearborn for her photography session.

As a professional photographer, I shoot a lot of photography sessions with kids. I recently had to opportunity to work with Julie for a family photography session. I had previously photographed her daughter for a portrait session, but this was my first time working directly with her and her other kids.

The weather really looked questionable when we started the session. In fact, the sky was full of solid clouds and everything had an eerie green cast to it. Fortunately, the sky cleared up enough for us to hold a quick session.

This session was a little different in that I captured individual portraits of everyone in addition to a number of family shots. I’m glad we did too because I really love the proofs I’ve seen so far! I still have a lot to review, but wanted to share a few of my favorites as a sneak peek preview. As a well-known twins and triplets photographer in the Metro Detroit area, I have the opportunity to work with wonderful kids and families throughout southeast Michigan. I really love working with twins since they have such an incredible bond, much more so than typical siblings.

As a Livonia wedding photographer, I regularly work with couples for the wedding photography throughout Metro Detroit. But, my favorite sessions are for those people that I know on a personal level. Such was the case with a recent engagement photography session in Northville, Michigan.

I recently received a call from Dan that he and Julie were engagement and he wanted me to photograph an engagement session for them. Dan is a great family friend and was a guest at my own wedding 10 years ago!
