Format Factory (Windows) - If I need to convert multimedia files on a Windows machine then this is my 1st port of call.
Media Converter - If I'm on my mac & need to convert multimedia files then I'll use this.

Hello there!

If you follow me on Twitter you may know that from the 1st of August I’m going to be heading up a team within Newport University that’s responsible for developing and supporting the use of e-learning across the university.

The new team will be launching in the new academic year and we are very keen to work on collaborative projects with other educators at all levels of the education system.

Although we cannot fund projects ourselves, the idea is that we’d work with you to apply for project bids from funding bodies which could then fund our collaborative work.

Those of you who follow me via Twitter, or Facebook may have seen that I'm using a Mac Book Air for work now.

As a result I've added in a few applications which I'm using to maintain the Mac in the same way that I maintain my Windows machines. These free applications have all been added to the PC Care page and, as a result, it's been renamed to PC/Mac Care:

In this new section I'll be including various theories & methodologies which I have encountered that correlate to experiences that I've had over the years where technology has been used in some way to successfully enhance teaching and learning.

I want to try and make the theories accessible to everyone, so in addition to outlining the principles, I'm going to try and put down "serving suggestions" using free software which you can try out with your own students if you so wish.
