In the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana, we came across a lion hunt about to occur right in front of us. The lions were very low to the ground in stalk mode. Across the field was a herd of impala mixed with wildebeest. Here’s how it unfolded . . .

It looks like the plan was to divert a wildebeest into the area of brush where the four other lions were prepared for an ambush. This time, the plan didn’t pan out.

The lions regrouped and we think they were later successful at capturing a Tsessebe (a very large antelope).

Setting: Botswana

There is nothing like seeing a lion in wild for the first time. This big guy walked right by our vehicle.

But to our surprise, he wasn’t alone. This is a video of his buddy who was following closely behind him.

They were on their way to cross a shallow body of water.
