میرا اللہ کہاں ہے؟

مجھ میں یہ کمی ہے کہ مجھے ایسا وقت نہیں ملتا۔ ایسی دھوپ نہیں ملتی۔ ایسا لان نہیں ملتا کہ جہاں پر میں ہوں اور میرا پالن ہار ہو اور کچھ نہ کچھ اس سے بھی بات ہو۔ عبادت اپنی جگہ بالکل ٹھیک ہے، لیکن اللہ خود فرماتا ہے کہ جب تم نماز ادا کر چکو تو پھر میرا ذکر شروع کرو۔ لیٹے ہوئے، بیٹھے ہوئے، پہلو کے بل۔ یعنی یہ بھی اجازت دی کہ جس طرح سے چاہو مرضی کرو۔ لیکن آدمی ایسا مجبور ہے کہ وہ اس ذکر سے محروم رہ جاتا ہے۔ کبھی کبھی یہ سوچیں کہ اس وقت میرا اللہ کہاں ہے؟ کیسے ہے؟ شہ رگ کے پاس تو ہے ہی، لیکن میں کیوں خالی خالی محسوس کرتا ہوں تو پھر آپ کو ایک آواز سے، ایک وائبریشن سے، جسے بدن کا ارتعاش کہتے ہیں، اس سے پتا چلتا ہے۔ یہ بڑے مزے کی اور دلچسپ باتیں ہیں، لیکن ہم اتنے مصروف ہو گئے ہیں کہ ہم اس طرف جا ہی نہیں سکتے اور اللہ نے چاہا تو جوں جوں وقت آگے بڑھتا جائے گا، ہمارے اندر شعور کی لہریں اور بیدار ہوتی چلی جائیں گی۔ ہم پہنچیں گے ضرور، جس طرح سے "کے ٹو" کی برفوں سے بہنے والا ایک چھوٹا سا نالہ دھکے کھاتا ہوا، جغرافیہ جانے بغیر، نقشہ لیے بغیر سمندر کی طرف جا رہا ہوتا ہے اور ایک دن سمندر میں پہنچ جاتا ہے۔ ہم بھی اپنے سمندر کے ساتھ جا کر ضرور ہمکنار ہوں گے

Killing Our Dreams

The first symptom of the process of our killing our dreams is the lack of time. The busiest people I have known in my life always have time enough to do everything. Those who do nothing are always tired and pay no attention to the little amount of work they are required to do. They complain constantly that the day is too short. The truth is, they are afraid to fight the Good Fight.

The second symptom of the death of our dreams lies in our certainties. Because we don’t want to see life as a grand adventure, we begin to think of ourselves as wise and fair and correct in asking so little of life. We look beyond the walls of our day-to-day existence, and we hear the sound of lances breaking, we smell the dust and the sweat, and we see the great defeats and the fire in the eyes of the warriors. But we never see the delight, the immense delight in the hearts of those who are engaged in the battle. For them, neither victory nor defeat is important; what’s important is only that they are fighting the Good Fight.
And, finally, the third symptom of the passing of our dreams is peace. Life becomes a Sunday afternoon; we ask for nothing grand, and we cease to demand anything more than we are willing to give. In that state, we think of ourselves as being mature; we put aside the fantasies of our youth, and we seek personal and professional achievement. We are surprised when people our age say that they still want this or that out of life. But really, deep in our hearts, we know that what has happened is that we have renounced the battle for our dreams – we have refused to fight the Good Fight.
When we renounce our dreams and find peace, we go through a short period of tranquility. But the dead dreams begin to rot within us and to infect our entire being.
We become cruel to those around us, and then we begin to direct this cruelty against ourselves. That’s when illnesses and psychoses arise. What we sought to avoid in combat – disappointment and defeat – come upon us because of our cowardice.
And one day, the dead, spoiled dreams make it difficult to breathe, and we actually seek death. It’s death that frees us from our certainties, from our work, and from that terrible peace of our Sunday afternoons

ہم کمزور لوگ ہیں جو ہماری دوستی اللہ کے ساتھ ہو نہیں سکتی۔ جب میں کوئی ایسی بات محسوس کرتا ہوں یا سُنتا ہوں تو پھر اپنے "بابوں" کے پاس بھاگتا ہوں_ میں نے اپنے بابا جی سے کہا کہ جی ! میں اللہ کا دوست بننا چاہتا ہوں۔ اس کا کوئی ذریعہ چاہتا ہوں۔ اُس تک پہنچنا چاہتا ہوں۔ یعنی میں اللہ والے لوگوں کی بات نہیں کرتا۔ ایک ایسی دوستی چاہتا ہوں، جیسے میری آپ کی اپنے اپنے دوستوں کے ساتھ ہے،تو اُنہوں نے کہا "اپنی شکل دیکھ اور اپنی حیثیت پہچان، تو کس طرح سے اُس کے پاس جا سکتا ہے، اُس کے دربار تک رسائی حاصل کر سکتا ہے اور اُس کے گھر میں داخل ہو سکتا ہے، یہ نا ممکن ہے۔" میں نے کہا، جی! میں پھر کیا کروں؟ کوئی ایسا طریقہ تو ہونا چاہئے کہ میں اُس کے پاس جا سکوں؟ بابا جی نے کہا، اس کا آسان طریقہ یہی ہے کہ خود نہیں جاتے اللہ کو آواز دیتے ہیں کہ "اے اللہ! تو آجا میرے گھر میں" کیونکہ اللہ تو کہیں بھی جاسکتا ہے، بندے کا جانا مشکل ہے۔ بابا جی نے کہا کہ جب تم اُس کو بُلاؤ گے تو وہ ضرور آئے گا۔ اتنے سال زندگی گزر جانے کے بعد میں نے سوچا کہ واقعی میں نے کبھی اُسے بلایا ہی نہیں، کبھی اس بات کی زحمت ہی نہیں کی۔ میری زندگی ایسے ہی رہی ہے، جیسے بڑی دیر کے بعد کالج کے زمانے کا ایک کلاس فیلو مل جائےبازار میں تو پھر ہم کہتے ہیں کہ بڑا اچھا ہوا آپ مل گئے۔ کبھی آنا۔ اب وہ کہاں آئے، کیسےآئے اس بےچارے کو تو پتا ہی نہیں۔

ARGUMENTS - The Worst Sort of Conversation

These days it is a common sight to see people arguing via comments on many of the Islamic pages on the Internet. While reading such comments, it makes us wonder at many times if the person is arguing for the sake of proving their point, or rather for the Truth to be known.

If the argument is for the sake of proving their point only, then this is what is said in the Hadith:

"Whoever sought knowledge for the purpose of using it to compete with the learned or showing ability to be contentious (tending to argument or strife; quarrelsome)

with stupid people, or to draw peoples attention to him, Allah will put him in hell."

[Authenticated by Al-Tirmidthi, on the relation of Kab Ibn Malik]

If the argument is rather for the Truth to be known, then this is what is said in the Quran: There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut (idol worship/false gods) and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

[Noble Quran 2:256]

"So (O Prophet) exhort them (to the right path). (for) Your task is only to exhort. You cannot compel them (to accept the truth). Whosoever turns away and disbelieves, Allah will punish him with a mighty punishment. Surely to Us they will have to return, then it will be upon Us to call them to account (for what they used to do)."

[Noble Quran 88:21-26]

According to the above Ayat, we should only let the Truth be known but not enforce it on anyone because the Truth is self-apparent. In the end, we can only pray that Allah guides them to the right path.

When we argue, the devil joins us!

Once the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting with his Companions, and one person used insulting words against Abu Bakr causing him pain. But Abu Bakr remained silent. The person again used bitter words against Abu Bakr, and still Abu Bakr did not respond. The third time when this ignorant person hurt Abu Bakr with his tongue, Abu Bakr tried answering back.

At this point the Prophet (pbuh) got up.

Abu Bakr asked him, "Are you displeased with me ?"

The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "No, but (when you remained silent) an angel came down from the heaven responding to this mans talk. But the moment you started replying to that man, the angel went away and the devil sat down. And I cannot sit where the devil is sitting."

Some points to remember if we are involved in an argument:

(whether here on the Internet or in person)

"Invite (all) to the way of the Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth, best who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance."

(The Quran 16.125).First of all, if the topic of dispute is not an Islamic one, then it is better to be quiet and not waste our time and effort on something that is not beneficial. If it is in regards to Islam, then as the above Ayah states, we must be polite and choose our words carefully. We should not insult, curse, swear, or get angry. We should always remember that we are representing how a Muslim behaves to everyone around us [i.e. adults and kids]. We should not do anything to blemish the image of an Ideal Muslim.

2. We should keep an open mind. Sometimes because of our limited knowledge, we believe that our opinion is the correct one. However, it could be that the other persons argument could actually be the Truth.

3. We should not assume that there is only one correct answer. There are many topics that have different opinions between the Scholars. We may believe one to be true, but that does not mean the other person is wrong. However, what is stated as Haram is Haram, Halal is Halal, and doubtful is better to avoid as per the below Hadith:

Prophet Muhammad [SallAllahu Alayhi Wasallam] is reported to have said:"Halal is clear and Haram is clear; in between these two are certain things that are suspected. Many people may not know whether those items are Halal or Haram. Whosoever leaves them, he is innocent towards his religion and his conscience. He is, therefore, safe. Anyone who gets involved in any of these suspected items, he may fall into the unlawful and the prohibited. This case is similar to the one who wished to raise his animals too close to a restricted area, so that the animals may step into that area. Indeed for every landlord there is a restricted area. Indeed the restriction of Allah are the Haram."

4. Our intention should only be to inform the other person of the Truth. It should not be to make them think that we are right, or that we are very knowledgeable, or to make them feel inferior.

5. We should only provide guidance given in the Quran and Hadith with reference in regards to the topic of dispute. We should not include our personal opinions or present day scenarios. We should remember that Islam is a perfect religion for all times.

6. Lastly, if we do not have any knowledge of the topic, then we should not try to get involved just for the sake of argument. This will not only take a lot of our time and effort, but in the end it might make us lose some respect in the minds of others.

Finally, we should always remember this Hadith when we are involved in an argument:

"I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners.'' (Sunan Abu Dawud)

Al Maeda: Ayat 51

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُواْ ٱلۡيَہُودَ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَ‌ۘ بَعۡضُہُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءُ بَعۡضٍ۬‌ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمۡ فَإِنَّهُ ۥ مِنۡہُمۡ‌ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِى ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ (٥١)

O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust. (51)

The Above Ayaat from Quran e Pak states clearly that neither Jews nor Christians (At least their govts.) can ever be friends, caretakers or well-wishers of Muslims even if you accept their faith.

Over a decade, back an American official had stated: “Pakis can sell their mother for ten dollars.” Our past rulers have been proving it repeatedly and today we have demonstrated it yet again under the so-called democratic rulers. We have sold ourselves once again.

If man has all the treasures of world, he will be demanding more and more. The greed of wealth often tempts us to acquire most of it by any means legal (halal) or illegal (Haram). We are most greedy and cursed beings no matter we are getting famous and money for selling our pride, values, authority or faith. Whether the time is demanding stand on national pride (Saqoot E Dhaka, Kargil) or standing by the rule of law.

We never thought that we would be sold in this manner and so cheaply. We knew well that Nawaz Sharif had once sold Aimal Kansi to the Americans, Benazir Bhutto handed over Yousaf Ramzi to US and the ISI and Pakistan Army under Musharraf presented hundreds of Pakistanis and other nationals including the daughter of Pakistan Dr Aafia Siddiqui to US but we mistakenly thought that it might not be possible for all of them now because of the independent media and the judiciary. But they did it again to Pakistan and did it so shamelessly.

Allama Mohammad Iqbal emphasized in a number of writings on khudi and not selling ones dignity. The only thing that can give ones soul peace is faith in ALLAH,

وَلَن تَرۡضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلۡيَہُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَہُمۡ‌ۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ‌ۗ وَلَٮِٕنِ ٱتَّبَعۡتَ أَهۡوَآءَهُم بَعۡدَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ‌ۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ۬ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ (١٢٠)

Al-Baqara:120

Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allâh (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur'ân), then you would have against Allâh neither any Walî (protector or guardian) nor any helper. (120)

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem.

Pakistan is passing through defining moments. Indication of this is clear to anyone with even a passing knowledge of life in Pakistan.

The extent of the decline runs the span of human activity. There are problems in health, education, agriculture, and industry. Poverty is general and growing. Insecurity is widespread. People do not feel secure - in the streets or in
their homes. Some parts of the country seem to be in the initial stages of a civil war.

Our purpose, on the platform of Payaam Trust, is not to cast blame and point fingers. We accept as obvious that all people who live in this land want the best for it and for themselves.

We want to analyze and change what has brought us to the brink. And then to identify a way out!

We are not in the business of labeling people as liberals, conservatives, fundamentalists, or extremists. We welcome anyone in whose heart there still smolders even an ember of the fire that burned in the hearts of Allama Iqbal, Mohammad Ali Jinnah and their colleagues.

It was not ordained that Pakistan be a 'failed state'. Come, let’s make a difference. ALLAH ho Akbar!

Adopt measures for elimination of social evils and destructive traditions thus creating tolerance in the society and bringing a positive behavioral change by launching awareness campaigns through mass media.

PAYAAM SEYHUT:

It aims at Striving for Equal participation, Youth Immersion, Health and Utilitarian Trends. The fundamental target of this program is to strengthen the Family unit, inculcate the concept of positive mental health and to incorporate critical thinking and cognitive maturity in the youth of the country. PAYAAM MUSTAQBIL:

It stands for Making the Underprivileged Skilled, Targeting A Qualified, Better and Improved Lifestyle. With one eye on the future, PAYAAM MUSTAQBIL aims to create leadership and technical skills in our future and present generations which would help Pakistan both in the short-term and the long-term. PAYAAM’s aim is to establish Skill Development and Non-Formal Educational Centers across the nation where income generating skills and basic education would be imparted to the underprivileged free of cost with special emphasis on character-building of the students.

PAYAAM RAHATAIN:

It strives for Reaching for Accessibility, promoting Humanitarian Attitudes targeting Inclusiveness. For disabled, PAYAAM offers hope, freedom, self-reliance and mobility.

PAYAAM'S PASSION FOR PAKISTAN:

Through this project, Payaam is inspiring our youth by conducting sporting activities for fitness, fun and self-discovery.

PAYAAM-E-UMEED TEAM (Disaster Relief Management)

PAYAAM is also developing strategies to deal with national crises and calamities like (God Forbid earthquakes, or floods). The extensive network of PAYAAM members enable us to efficiently distribute food packages, clothing, medicines, beddings, etc. nationwide.
To spread happiness on occasions like Eid and National days, we distribute food items, clothes, toys, books, stationary, and other gifts amongst children in the hospitals, jails, and deprived communities.

Parents and Youth Advocacy Awareness Movement (Payaam)

PAYAAM is a Persian term meaning “Message”. PAYAAM has been founded and conceived by Basit Subhani, a well-known media personality and social activist.
PAYAAM is a welfare trust with scores of young volunteers who have selflessly devoted themselves for serving the ailing humanity.

VISION:

Payaam’s vision is to see a prosperous Pakistan where everyone enjoys same rights and privileges.

PHILOSOPHY:

We are striving for an environment which leads towards national cohesion without prejudice to any regional, ethnic, cultural or religious values aiming at universal peace & tranquility, religious harmony & tolerance; vow to fight all forms of terrorism with aplomb, commitment and national duty and see emergence of Pakistan as the most respectable nation into the comity of nations Insha'ALLAH!
