After numerous concept presentations, Aston Martin has finally presented the first fully completed one-77. New British super car presentation was held at the exclusive car show Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy. The concept car exterior design was already seen in pictures, but now it was possible to see the car interior.

There will be made only 77 Aston Martin One-77, and each car will cost at least 1,8 million dollars. Very soon they will make the first custom-made copy. All the small series production will be completed by the end of the next year. Moreover, as Aston Martin representatives have pointed out, each car will be made in close conjunction with its next owner, and the manufacturer will use its best efforts to be sure that none of 77 unique cars is coming into the so-called profiteers hands.

Like F1 racing car, the One-77 design is based on the ultra-light and highly resistant carbon fiber moncok (continuous body structure). At moncok there has been attached the four wheel double lever suspension and it is almost the same as it is on F1 racing car, where the vertical suspension is converted into horizontal. It is also the first time when a street car has received DSSV technology, which allows to adjust damping characteristics very precise whit out removing the suspension elements off the car.

The One-77 engine is also unique. Although it on Aston Martin popular 6.0-liter V12 engine's base, its capacity has increased to 7.3 liters, meanwhile the engine weight has been reduced by 25%. In the result the engine has more than 700 horse power. The car also has specially developed six-speed automatic gearbox.

Aston Martin One-77's maximum speed exceeds 200 miles per hour, while acceleration from 0-60 miles per hour will take around 3.5 seconds. For stopping the car it has carbon-ceramic composite brakes to minimize the brake fluid heat system.

Hennessey Launches Performance Venom GT

Super tuner Hennessey has put out some radical Corvettes as the years have gone by and now the company has released its version of the true Super Car and has dubbed it the Hennessey Performance Venom GT. Part Lotus and Part Corvette, this vehicle has been all the rage on the chat boards and much speculation had gone into the inner workings of the car.

Now the answers that everyone was seeking are abundantly clear and the Hennessy Performance Venom GT is certainly blowing away expectations to say the very least. To call it a 'performance' car is a true understatement of the word itself as the car represents the best of the best as far as components goes.

The Hennessey Performance Venom GT tips the scales at a very scant 2,400 pounds and at just over a ton, this super car has a ton of power. Under the hood of the Venom GT lives a Corvette ZR1 LS9 V-8 engine that is complimented with dual turbos. The 6.3 liter engine is capable of putting out 725 horsepower and about 741 foot pounds of torque. The end result is a car that can cruise from 0 to 60 miles per hour in around 2.4 seconds and will do top speeds approaching the 265 mile per hour mark.

Carrying the massive engine and the rest of the light weight Venom GT is a Lotus Elise chassis. This lightweight yet extremely strong chassis is considered by many in the auto world the cream of the crop.

The transmission is a Ricardo six speed manual that is also top of the line. The Hennessey Performance Venom GT will also feature the programmable traction control system similar to the one used in the Corvette ZR1.

The car will make its official public debut this year at the Goodwill Festival of Speed and Hennessy only plans on making ten models per year. The Venom GT has already been planned to land in Russia, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. No plans are set as of yet for a landing date in the United States.

These wheels will cost around $600,000.00 and if you think that is too much money, consider that Hennessey has already pre-sold four units. Just as with any other super car, as there are many people with tons of money and a love for speed, there will be a market for the super car.

For the lucky few that do get to own one of these works of art they may also want to consider the next level of Venom GT already in the works. According to Hennessey, the newer versions will have 1000 to 1200 horsepower and will obviously blow the doors off of the first generation.

For now though anyone with the money and the speed fever can obtain one of these beauties. As nice as it is to simply see the Hennesse Perfomance Venom GT in pictures or in person, the ultimate in joy will go to those who actually get to drive one.

2009 Aston Martin DBS

Don't the cool guys seem to always pick some of the fastest and sleekest designed cars? Well, then it should be no surprise that James Bond will be sporting a serious and speedy vehicle, namely the 2009 Aston Martin DBS in the upcoming film "Quantum of Solace". The V12 exotic sports car has a 6.0 liter engine with an exquisite interior hand finished that is attractive to common and rich folk alike. The aerodynamic design makes it even better suited for espionage.

The Aston Martin DBS zooms from zero to sixty in just 4.2 seconds. Underneath the hood, it puts out up to 510 hp. At only 3737 pounds of weight this exotic feline will hit the roads a blazing and top out at 191 mph according to reliable testing sources.

The 2009 DBS provides an optional six-speed automatic transaxle, 2+2 seats, 20-inch wheels and an audio by Bang & Olufsen. The design and layout is the same as the DB9 with a bit more sleekness. The body is made of aluminum and carbon fiber. One of the new colors for this model is aptly named Quantum Silver

For 2009, the Aston Martin DBS comes equipped with new vented carbon ceramic brake discs which are a first for an off-track Aston Martin. These are custom designed to align with the double wishbone alloy suspension that features damper control which utilizes two separate valves to set the damper for five different positions. Pagani Zonda R

Through the suggestions of passionate track focused Zonda enthusiasts, Pagani has designed the Pagani Zonda R with customized engineering solutions to meet the high performance requirements of a track day vehicle. A carbon-titanium composite central monocoque, enhanced rigidity while significantly lowering weight.

The Zonda R comes with a Mercedes-Benz AMG 6.0-liter racing V12 bolted straight to the chassis and generating 750 hp and 710 Nm of torque. Instantaneous throttle response is achieved through a direct throttle actuation utilizing a mechanical cable. Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder

When Lamborghini's next-gen Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder convertible burst onto the scenes earlier this year, the sporty two seat exotic impressed all who witnessed: it had a better albeit part-exterior from the million-dollar Lamborghini Reventon, output an additional 40 hp, and is lighter. Yes, it is a major challenger in the world of super cars.

So dropping the top on the latest Gallardo is the order of the day in the growth of the LP 560-4. With a tad-bit higher shoulders in order to support the soft drop top, the Spyder's fabric roof (which comes ion black, blue, gray or beige) is controlled by dual console-mounted switches. The car's sleek lines are well-designed while the top is on, and if you want it down, it is just a mere 20 seconds to feel the rays from the sun. Obviously, the major excitement is the exquisite growl of the 5.2 liter V10. The process of putting the top-down means the necessary rear windscreen will open. As you are motoring in the wind, the rear windscreen can be lowered or raised to be used as a wind deflector.

The ground-up modifications which support the soft top include a recalibrated spring and shock rates for more stiffness, and the inclusion of new rubber-metal bearings. The rear axle has a track rod, and Lamborghini states that the Spyder has the exact handling traits as the closed coupe version (although it's 44 pounds less than the ragtop). The aerodynamic underbody helps in structural rigidity, and the aluminum space-frame chassis has also been reinforced. The Gallardo spyder convertible gallops Zero to 60 mph in 4 seconds flat, a few tenths lighter than the coupe, and the top speed is 201 mph. The hardtop version came in at 202 mph.

The standard speed-demon features on Lambo's such as carbon fiber ceramic brakes are available on the ragtop version, but speed thirsty motorists should be comfortable by the fact that the Spyder has two spring-loaded rollover bars in the rear of the seats.

MazdaSpeed 3 - Insane Performance For the Buck

There are cars with lots of hype on the market and then there are cars that are subtle monsters. The MazdaSpeed 3 is a huge monster with a pedestrian price that makes it an absolute steal in these tough economic times.

Okay, let's get something out of the way. The name of the car is the "MazdaSpeed 3", not "Mazda Speed 3". I have no idea why. Perhaps someone missed the space key when titling the project. It doesn't really matter, but people bring the subject up over and over.

If you could describe the perfect car these days, what would it be? You would want some serious performance, but you would want to avoid tickets. You would want something you could haul people and stuff around in, but have a blast while doing it. The MazdaSpeed 3 is all this and more.

The MazdaSpeed 3 looks extremely close to the basic Mazda 3. It is a hatchback without much refinement. You find some minor body work, a slightly lowered profile and larger 18 inch rims. The inside of the car is extremely basic in my opinion. In short, this is a car that really is not going to attract any attention except from those who see the name on the car.

This anonymity is a good thing, particularly as far as your friendly police officers are involved. Why? The MazdaSpeed 3 is basically an engine with seats. What the designers did not spend on the exterior and interior, they put into the performance. The Godzilla design has a 2.3 liter four cylinder engine with a direct-injection turbo. It produces a whopping 263 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a ton of torque.

Driving around in the car if a fairly hilarious prospect. You can pull up too much more exotic and expensive cars at a light and then just crush them off the line. The only time you'll get any looks is when some kids who know about the car pull up next to you. It is somewhat like driving around in an old station wagon with a Ferrari engine in it. Don't get me wrong. The car doesn't look bad. The looks just don't match the performance at all.

Watching every dollar you spend is pretty much the key to life these days. The MazdaSpeed 3 performs here as well. The cost is a paltry and stunning $21,000 to $22,000 for a car that will crush most cars priced twice as much. Even better, you can write off the sales tax you pay on the purchase thanks to President Obama's stimulus bill.

In these dire times, that is a deal you are going to have a hard time beating.

Lamborghini Murcielago 2007 Review

A century-old tradition in bullfighting is to spare the life of a bull which shows outstanding courage in the arena. Such a bull was Murcielago, The Bat, spared by a famous matador after a breathtaking fight in the arena of Cordoba, some 130 years ago.

Much like the bull that gave it its name, the Lamborghini Murcielago belongs to a special breed of cars. With its 6,5 liter V12 engine, 640 BHP, an amazing 665 Nm torque and permanent 4-wheel drive, nothing can stand in it's way. 3,4 seconds is all it needs to get to 100 km/h, and if you keep your foot on the gas pedal, it will not stop until you reach a mind-blowing 340 km/h.

But this power comes at a price. The massive 12-cylinder engine requires an average of 21,3 l/100 km, and the car's fuel tank can carry (only!) 100 liters.

This 2-door, 2 seats coupe with a mid-mounted engine follows the traditional design successfully applied by Lamborghini for more than three decades. The gear box placed in front of the engine, the permanent four-wheel drive, along with the integration into the engine unit of the rear differential, are but a few of the advantages of such a displacement which result in an optimal weight distribution, 58% rear and 42% front, with positive effects on the car's handling, braking and traction.

The security of the car is ensured by the carbon fiber body, with steel doors and roof, and a tubular frame made from high-strength steel alloy with carbon fiber structural parts. The stopping power is ensured by power vacuum, aluminum alloy calipers (8 pistons front calipers and 4-pistons rear calipers), ventilated discs, and optional carbon-ceramic brakes, with 6 pistons break calipers (front-rear).

The interior aims for functionality, and lacks any useless or distracting elements. The optional equipment includes an "Interior Carbon Package", where the cover for the driver side display, dashboard cover, handbrake lever, armrest frame, gear lever cover, the air conditioning and radio covers are made entirely from carbon fibre, offering those really demanding customers an extra air of class.

Unlike the older models, the Murcielago brings a touch of practicality through it's design, which allows for more control over the car; however, the rear visibility remains poor.

Its name refers to a bull and a bat, but the Murcielago encompasses their features and beyond; the interior is reasonably comfortable for an exotic car, capable of going 300+ km/h. Used to its full potential, this car can provide one of the most thrilling sensations a driver will ever experience.

Its unique design ensures that it will stay in vogue for a long time. It is precisely the type of car which will keep Lamborghini among the world's top manufacturers, in showrooms, publications and, best of all, in the hearts of the customers.

New 2007 Lexus LS 460

The new 2007 Lexus LS 460, the largest and most expensive sedan by Lexus is by far the best release so far by the luxury division of Toyota Motor Corporation. This fourth generation of the full-size RWD, which has been, for eighteen years, the flagship of Lexus has a more attractive and even more aggressive stance, thanks to Lexus new design style, L-Finesse.

The state-of-the-art exterior lighting features a Dual-swivel Adaptive Front Lighting System, with High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps which are more energy-effective, durable, and brighter than conventional halogen headlamps.

The Intuitive Parking Assist uses sensors to alert drivers when they get too close to other parked cars, and with the help of the Advanced Parking Guidance System, this car will virtually park itself. The electrochromic outside mirrors automatically reduce glare, when the light is too bright. A Smart Access Key activates both the doors and the ignition. The 19-inch wheels ensure an increased accuracy on handling.

Mazda CX-7

We're on the Road in the 2008, Mazda CX-7

The Good: Nice styling, good handling, decent list of standard features, good curbside appeal, very safe.

The Bad: Road noise is somewhat pronounced, rear seats are low.

Overall: The CX-7 is a sharp looking small SUV, sporty styling while offering a well designed, handsome and functional interior.

The CX-7 is Mazda's five passenger crossover sport-utility vehicle, initially introduced for 2007. The powertrain consists of a 2.3 Liter 4 cylinder turbo engine, outputting 244 horsepower and 258 lb foot of torque, coupled to the front wheel drive, six speed automatic transmission with sportshift! Mazda offers the CX-7 in three trim levels: Sport; Touring; and Grand Touring.

The CX-7 is very sporty, from the five-pointed grille and prominent front fender, up to the A pillar slanting at a 66 degree angle, the Mazda holds true to "the soul of a sports car" slogan. The integrated rounded xenon headlights round out the front corner of the vehicle nicely! It's retains the sharp handling and responsiveness of a car, while offering light duty utility as well.

Safety

The CX-7 scored best marks in Government Front, Driver and passenger, side driver/ rear passenger test as well as good marks in government rollover tests. The 5 passenger SUV has many standard safety features, including: ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist, as well as Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control System. Also standard find side impact door beams, Front/Rear crumple zones, an anti-theft immobilizer and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), four wheel ventilated disc brakes; Front wheel or Active Torque-Split All-Wheel Drive. The CX-7 has thick D pillars, but the area is very visible using the side mirrors. This Mazda also features a good compliment of six airbags for front and back.

Driving Impressions

The CX-7 is a handles well and although you might expect a v-6 to be necessary for this size vehicle, you'd be surprised how well the 4 cylinder turbo performs. Unlike the turbo of the past there's almost zero lag. The turbo does a great job of compensating for what could otherwise be a lighter duty engine for this rather hefty vehicle. Handling is solid, responsive and tight (without being numb) and thanks to the four wheel independent suspension you'll feel little road, the response is direct. Road noise is a bit more audible than others, but it's not enough to be troublesome. Consumer Reports rated Mazda's CX-7 as less than average for first year reliability, but we did not note any potential issues during our test drive.

The Way You Feel Inside

Jump into the CX-7 without needing a boost, it's not a huge SUV. Mazda's red and blue lighting combine for a pleasing hue across the clean and simple analogue gauge cluster. Interior styling is handsome and build quality is good, inline with the category.

Function meet form, form meet function: nice looking front/side defrost vents are smartly integrated into the dash, which is stacked to include a centered LCD display, for clock and audio info. Discover a large lockable center console, large enough for a music junkie's CD collection, and more space for snacks. Got power? Plug in to either of the 12v power outlets. Drivers will also appreciate lighting accents that make it easy to see the interior while driving at night, thanks to the indirect blue cabin illumination (on the upper trim). Drivers and passengers delight with lumbar adjustment on front seats, that are also heated (love the heated seats, also on upper trim).

The CX-7 has a good long list of standard features, they include: Cruise Control, AM/FM/CD audio with automatic level control (automatically adjusting the volume (smooth and non intrusive) based on noise levels) fold away brake pedal assembly, LATCH rear child safety seat anchors and tethers, A/C, power door locks, plus more. The CX-7 offers fun, a sporty drive and a bit of utility as well, and gives you alot for your money!

Stowage

For a five passenger SUV, you'll likely be taking the weekend road trip and the CX-7 is ready for the road, with decent and versatile stowage space. Fold the rear seats down (although they don't lay entirely flat, check the photo below) and you'll have 58.6 cubic feet. With the rear seats up find 29.9 cubic feet about average for this class vehicle, and decent space for the weekend warrior or occasional camper. Options exist to extend your storage with a roof rack (100lbs max); and the tow package (towing capacity up to 2000 lbs).

The Jaguar XF

The Jaguar XF goes beyond the traditional standards of the classy Jag we are all used to.What we know about this jaguar that's due out in March is that while it uses the old S-Type bases and suspension from the XK coupe, what it looks like is entirely different. It takes on a sportier more than luxurious look although it doesn't give up too much as it still looks like a million dollars. It will definitely be a head turner for a much younger market, but this doesn't mean it will alienate the Jaguar's dedicated market as it still retains the class that Jag is known for; this is especially true if you manage to get one of these car lease specials in a dark color, like black.

What you see outside is definitely not true inside the XF. The exterior is a lot ore buff but inside, you may be surprised with the luxury of space that you will enjoy. The seats are not as bulky as you might expect and this offers an impression of more air and space. However, this is a good thing, especially with all the things that this car packs in. Expect wood and aluminum alloy on the inner sides, a lowered dashboard, a rotary gear selector in the center and a starter button that flashes upon entering the car. As a standard, consumers get cruise control, heated seats and satellite navigation! That leaves room for the imagination as far as add-ons are concerned.

Speaking of room, the Jaguar XF has just enough of it. In fact, a six-foot person sitting in the back will actually have a lot of head room left between his or head and the ceiling. Foot room is quite spacious but the 500-liter trunk space is a lot more generous and the back seats also fold for additional space.

Expect the Jaguar XF to "hit the shelves" on March 1 2008. It will come in two whopping 4.2 liter V8 models, one with a supercharger and one without. Though it has an absolutely terrible name that conjures violent Genghis Khan-type imagery, the newest of the new Rolls Royces is being touted as an auto that is both a bit brash but tasteful just the same. It's a two-door convertible, which most likely counts as the brash part. It's very Bond. And if it isn't, it should be. This car looks like it should be able to do all sorts of interesting spy-toy type things.

The car is still a bit of a snob, though. Looking at its photograph, you get the feeling that it actually knows it is a Rolls-Royce, because it requires you – or someone – to massage it regularly. In other words, it has a teakwood tonneau cover that requires an oil bath (linseed or Tung oil) to preserve its look at ever service stop.

The Phantom Drophead Coupe is a few inches – 10, to be precise – shorter than earlier Rolls-Royces, but it is still a big car - bigger than a Mercedes, sources say. The driving experience probably resembles the experience that you get when you're in one of those adventure rides where it is actually the scenery around your car that's moving around – not you. This car can create a special environment and insulate you from the world.

If you are a fan of the Rolls-Royce and you can afford the hefty price tag, then this may be a highly enjoyable car for you. There is definitely a sense of a completely new vehicle. And it is, after all, a convertible.

The Koenigsegg car brand is still quite young. This project was officially launched in 1993. The creator of the brand was Christian von Koenigsegg, who had intentions to create true car of dream. Koenigsegg constructed its first prototype car in 1994, in only one and a half years after company establishing. The first custom Koenigsegg CC, named CC 8S, was assembled and handed over to its proud owner at the Geneva Motor Show in March. This red car was also tested by Koenigsegg test drivers on racetracks and roads, for further look and drivability refine.

Subaru’s new Impreza WRX goes on sale in Japan this week as a late 2007 model, and with it come greater anticipation for the high-performance STI version, which won't be officially revealed until the Tokyo auto show in October later this year.

The top Impreza will offer a range of unique styling additions, including a specially developed bonnet, grille and a wide front bumper with big air intakes.

Flared wheelarches house smart 18-inch alloys, which will hide the existing STI's Brembo brake system. Sources from Subaru have also reportedly confirmed that the company is working on a five-speed automatic and a continuously variable transmission, and both these options could be offered as early as mid-2009.

The company has failed two times, once in 1924 and in 1925 with a factory closing taking place in 1926. The company was finally bought by some very rich investors, Lady Charnwood among them, and it was renamed Aston Martin Motors. Abarth rose to fame as an independent automotive racing company that primarily used tuned Ferraris and Porsches. In 1971 Abarth was purchased by Fiat and became the racing department of Fiat as well as subsidiaries Lancia and Autobianchi. Time will tell whether the stressed-out pumped-up 1.4 liter turbo engine will be reliable in the long term, but unless the owner does any aggressive engine modifications the engine should be pretty stout.

Handling and braking, too, will no doubt be world class. However, the best part may be the price. While the car will not be marketed until September and no price is set, it will surely be less expensive than the American and Japanese sport compact cars, and will likely get better gas mileage as well. Mercedes-Benz is planning to release soon in the market a SLR McLaren super sports car roadster with a top. The Volkswagen Golf, a public icon for the past 30 years. With the heritage from the Mk1 GTi directly traceable from the current model even after all these years, the Golf is the car for all drivers.

The new Volkswagen Golf, or Mk5 as it is known had a lot to live up to. Every incarnation of the popular little hatch has been a fantastic car that has just kept getting better and better. The new Golf though shouldn’t disappoint.

Externally the new Golf is bigger than its predecessor, which you wouldn’t notice unless they were side by side, but it does lend the car a slightly more aggressive stance. It also goes without saying that the larger size has been put to good use by increasing interior space.

The whole car feels like a quality machine to sit in, and with some luxury saloon options available, its easy to forget your in a small hatchback. All Volkswagen Golf’s are renowned for being good handling, great fun to drive little cars and the new Golf Mk5 upholds that tradition. The steering is direct and sharp, and the suspension handles well, but without being overly firm. The grip levels are also surprisingly good, and the 2 wheel drive models feel ample, although the 4 wheel drive cars have an even more reassuringly sure footed.

Know affectionately as Godzilla among its enthusiasts, the Nissan Skyline truly is a fine Japanese sports car, and by gum what a fine looking beast she is too. They're not all that common around the USA, so when you do come across one there are plenty of curious admirers and enthusiasts gathering around whenever these cars park up.

Believe it or not, the Nissan Skyline has been around for some 45 years and has deservedly picked up many prestigious awards along the way. However, there was a 10 year period where production stopped, but delighted fans were over the moon when Nissan announced in 1989 that it would be releasing an all new GT-R Skyline.

The few years after the production of this stylish machine, the GT-R Skyline was awarded with the Japanese Touring Car Championship for Group 'A' touring cars. In 1994, because of its phenomenal success, the Nissan Skyline was given its own series. This series was aptly named the Japan GT Car series.

Although the Nissan Skyline was a much sought after motor in the United States of America, the Skyline GT-R was never made to comply with US standards, but all was not lost thanks to Motorex. Motorex imports and modifies the Nissan Skyline GT-R so that it complies with these standards and consequently these cars can then be released on American soil.

The Nissan Skyline GT-R is not a cheap car but it is a dream of many a young driver. Sadly for them, most only get to push the pedal to the floor by driving it via a computer screen. It's a real popular choice in computer racing games and for good reason.
