Information:

- 64-bit/32-bit thing:
Mac OS X Snow Leopard is a hybrid operating system which can boot in both 64-bit and 32-bit modes. This iATKOS S3 release boots in 64-bit by default, if you select the 32-bit package or any of the 32bit-only driver(s) then the system will boot the kernel in 32-bit by default.
To load a driver/module/kext in 32-bit (i.e. a 32-bit only driver) you must boot the system in 32-bit, vice versa for 64-bit. All of the drivers and patches except the 32-bit only ones in iATKOS S3 are hybrid (64/32bit), this means you can load/use them in both 64-bit and 32-bit modes.
64-bit applications can run in 32-bit mode and vice versa for 32-bit applications, but modules/drivers/kexts will be loaded as the same architecture (64-bit or 32-bit, in other words x86_64 or i386) you boot in, 32-bit modules in 32-bit mode, 64-bit modules in 64-bit mode. Therefore applications that need their own 32bit-only modules (kexts) may fail in 64-bit mode. If you choose any of the 32-bit packages during iATKOS S3 install, then your system will boot in 32-bit mode by default.

- iATKOS S3 includes scripting and many actions for using software updater just like real Macs on most PC hardware. This is mostly possible like the old releases of iATKOS but we can never know what Apple will do in next main system update, so it may not result in 0 success. Please read the related section below.

- You can make upgrade or refresh installs to your existing OSX86 system using iATKOS S3 DVD. Please read the related section below.

- Easy installation on Software RAID volumes, nearly all procedures automated. Please read the related section below.

- GPT (Guid Partition Table) and MBR (Master Boot Record) partitioned harddrives:
GPT is a partition table type for x86 computers which is also Intel Mac's partition table type. Its structure is different from MBR and so it has some nice features. The whole GPT multiboot procedure may not be so friendly for newbies, so they should go on using MBR, performance of the system will not differ from GPT to MBR.
MBR has a limit of 4 primary partitions (which is a must for booting an OS, however linux can boot from logical partitions by MBR) but GPT has no such thing like primary or logical, therefore you can create up to 128 bootable partitions on GPT disks. HFS+ partition resizing is only possible on GPT drives and it is such a comfortable feature. All windows series (win 3.1, win95 and win98 are MBR only) can be installed to a Hybrid GPT drive which can be easily created using OS X disk utility, just create one or more FAT32 partition(s), make sure that they are at the first 3 order and there you have the Hybrid GPT for windows installation.
New Linux bootloader Grub2 supports GPT, so nearly all updated Linux distros can be installed to pure GPT drives.
For Software RAID feature on Leopard and Snow Leopard, you must have GPT partitioned drives.
In the near future, most of x86 computers will run on GPT drives.

Jailbreak iOS 4.1 for iPod Touch 2G (MC Model), 3G, and 4G using Greenpois0n RC4

Telah lama menunggu akhirnya Jailbreak untuk 4.1 keluar juga. kali ini nama toolsnya Greenpois0n, tools ini juga support buat iPod Touch 3G 8GB. Ternyata greenpois0n ini dapat berjalan di tiga OS yaitu Mac, Linux dan Windows jd gak susah mau pilih OS apa aja.... :D

Baiklah kita laksanakan langkah-langkahnya:

1. Pastikan iPod Touch kamu sudah terupdate iOS 4.1 menggunakan iTunes kalau belum dipersilakan restore terdahulu ke Firmware terbaru iOS 4.1

2. Silakan download tool greenpois0n, untuk Mac download DISINI, untuk Linux download DISINI dan untuk Windows download DISINI

3. Matikan iPod Touch kamu dan hubungkan iPod Touch kamu ke PC atau Mac menggunakan kabel data.
4. Jalankan tools Greenpois0n (jika menggunakan Windows run sebagai Administrator)

5. Sebelum di Jailbreak masuk ke Mode DFU dahulu dengan cara menekan tombol Home (2 detik), kemudian tekan tombol Power tanpa melepas tombol Home (10 detik), kemudian lepas tombol Power tanpa melepas tombol Home (15 detik), seandainya gagal masuk ke Mode DFU akan muncul pesan Try Again

6. Ketika sudah masuk ke Mode DFU, klik tombol Jailbreak

7. Proses jailbreak sedang berjalan tunggu hingga selesai seperti yang ditunjukkan pada Progress Bar. iPod otomatis akan merestart ketika Jailbreak selesai

8. Setelah selesai Jailbreak akan muncul icon Loader, icon Loder disini digunakan untuk menginstal Aplikasi Cydia syaratnya kamu harus terhubung ke internet melalui WIFI.

9. Seteleh instalasi Aplikasi Cydia selesai akan muncul pesan apakah kamu akan menghapus Loader pilih Yes iPod Touch akan otomatis merestart.

10. Selanjutnya atur Repository Cydia pada iPod Touch kamu...

Fitur terbaru Mac OS X 10.7 dengan Code Name “Lion"

Seperti yang telah di kabarkan, bahwa Mac OS X Lion akan menghadirkan suasana Desktop layaknya memakai iPad. Multitouch? Yess. Berikut daftar fitur terbaru yang akan hadir dalam Mac OS X 10.7 Lion:

Full screen mode

Ini yang menurut saya paling penting, dengan mode Full Screen sangat memungkinkan penguna menggunakan komputer dengan cara yang sangat sederhana dan mudah, dalam artian kita akan mengurangi jendela aplikasi yang terbuka. Dalam mode Full Screen ini bukan berarti semua jendela aplikasi menghilang, tetapi tetap terbuka dan ditampilkan dalam baris berbentuk seperti icon.

Mission control

Mission control merupakan versi terbaru dari Exposé yang sebelumnya telah tersedia, terintegrasi dengan “Dock”, Dashboard dan bisa melihat semua aplikasi yang dijalankan.

Launchpad

Launchpad bekerja seperti Launchpad yang ada di iPad. Menampilkan semua aplikasi yang terinstall dalam mac os x dengan navigasi yang sama pada iOS dan tentu saja dengan hadir nya Folders memudahkan kita dalam mengelompokan aplikasi sesuai dengan Genre nya.

Mac App Store

Mac App Store sama persis seperti iOS App Store, dengan navigasi bar yang sama juga dengan iOS Store. Ketika kita membeli Aplikasi dari Mac App Store secara otomastis aplikasi tersebut akan terinstall dalam Launchpad dan yang terpenting cara kita update aplikasi yang resmi kita beli dari mac store bisa langsung diupdate melalui launchpad seperti pada iOS App Store.

Dengan kehadiran fitur-fitur diatas, kita akan menjelajahi penggunaan komputer dengan sangat sederhana dimasa depan bukan seperti sekarang yang masih begitu kompleks dan mesti kita ingat komputer tidak lagi dibuat untuk keperluan penelitian saja melainkan untuk kesenangan kita juga baik di kantor, rumah ataupun di studio.

Baiklah langsung saja kita ke TKP, Saya punya iPod Touch 8gb MC Model (3rd Gen) dan telah ter-jailbreak iOS 4.0. Ini juga bekerja pada 2G models (semua kapasitas), dan iPhone 3G.

EDIT: Untuk menampilkan "wallpaper" dan "battery percentage" fungsi pada iTouch. Lihat dibawah postingan ini.

Yang kamu butuhkan

- iPod Touch 8GB (3rd Gen/MC Model).

- USB File browser (misalnya iFunBox, iPhone Explorer) atau SSH client.

iTouch kamu harus sudah ter-jailbreak iOS 4 bagi yang belum bisa lihat DISINI

Langkah - Langkah

- Connect-kan iTouchmu ke PC, dan buka menggunakan iFunBox atau iPhone Explorer atau SSH client seperti WinSCP

- Masuk ke direktori \System\Library\CoreService\SpringBoard.app, dan temukan file bernama N72AP.plist.

- Copy N72AP.plist pada desktop PC-mu

- Klik kanan N72AP.plist, dan buka menggunakan Notepad.

(EDIT: Jika tulisannya acak-acakan coba gunakan program seperti PLIST EDITOR silakan googling aja.)

-Tambahkan values ini seperti gambar dibawah

- Sekarang save dan jangan save as kemudian close Notepad.

- Untuk kemanan ubah file original N72AP.plist yang berada pada \System\Library\CoreService\SpringBoard.app menjadi N72AP.plist.bak. sebagai backup jika terjasi apa-apa

- Copy file editan N72AP.plist yg ada pada desktopmu ke \System\Library\CoreService\SpringBoard.app. kamu sekarang dapat keluar dari file browser.

- Disconnect-kan iTouch dari PC dan respring atau restart juga boleh :D

Dari sumber yang terpercaya jailbreak sudah Legal tapi tetep aja Apple Kekeuh bagi yang jailbreak garansi akan hilang alias gak dapet dukungan lg dari Apple. Itu sih terserah Anda dangan Jailbrreak menurut saya iPod Touch, iPad atau iPhone jadi lebih asik diutak2ik.

Kalau biasanya jailbreak secara offline dan mesti download dulu Toolsnya nah sekarang ada yg versi Online yang dibuat oleh Comex tentu saja harus punya koneksi WIFI. Berikut langkahnya:

- Pertama pastikan kalau iPod Touch kamu belum dijailbreak....
- Restore iTouch kamu ke iOS 4
- Sync dulu iTouch kamu dengan iTunes
- Kalau sudah terkoneksi WIFI buka browser Safari pada iTouchmu

- Buka alamat ini http://jailbreakme.com/ atau coba yang ini http://jailbreakme.modmyi.com/ kalau yg pertama server penuh

- Lalu SILDE TO JAILBREAK berikut screenshotnya

Nah Microsoft Store telah mengeluarkan software WINDOWS 7 USB/DVD TOOL yang memungkinkan File Image *.ISO untuk dipindahkan ke USB Flash Disk sehingga anda dapat menginstal Windows 7 hanya dengan menggunakan USB Flash Disk. Memperbaiki Master Boot Record Windows 7

Karena keasyikan mencoba-coba menginstall Mac OS X, saya bermain-main dengan MBR. Ya MBR yang membuat BIOS mampu mendeteksi partisi mana yang akan di-boot. Nah karena saya bermain-main dengan MBR maka MBR pada partisi Windows 7 saya rusak. Akhirnya saya googling untuk mencari bagaimana cara memperbaikinya.

Yup akhirnya dapat juga, berikut caranya:
Jalankan CD Windows 7 kamu
Setelah jendela tampil pilih "Repair Your Computer"
Pilih "Startup Repair"
jika seandainya tidak berhasil coba menggunakan Command Promt dengan menggunakan perintah "bootsect.exe" (tanpa tanda petik)
Pilih partisi mana Windows 7 terinstal dan masuk ke direktori boot
dan ketikkan perintah "bootsect /nt60 SYS" hasilnya akan terlihat seperti gambar di bawah ini

Setelah menunggu beberapa lama setelah Backtrack 4 Pre Release akhirnya keluar juga Backtrack 4 Final. Ternyata situs backtrack tidak menumpang lagi di situs remote-exploit.org tetapi sudah memiliki situs sendiri yang beralamat di http://www.backtrack-linux.org dengan tampilan yang baru.
