Sony To Release PlayStation 4 In 2012

Just a few months ago, a video game news outlet reported that Sony's executives weren't planning on releasing a new version of the Play Station until 2014. However, the security breaches with the PlayStation Network might have prompted the company to reconsider its position. Nintendo will also be releasing an updated version of the Wii in 2012, which will be steep competition for Sony. So far, Sony is the only company that does not have an interactive accessory or peripheral for video game players.
