There are many women who struggle with PCOS. PCOS, along with other ailments or problems to infertility can be devastating for many couples trying to conceive a baby. For many who struggle with such disorders, finding a solution becomes a driving force. As I found most of the current medical cures can be quite invasive, very expensive and from my point of view quite unnecessary. With these medicals treatments there is also no guarantee that they will work. So even though you have gone through a very invasive procedure and spent a lot of money you can still end up in the exact same position that you started in.

You would also feel, as I felt, deflated and despondent.

For many of you that have been told that conventional treatments have failed to solve your PCOS, there are other options.

I myself was in the same position as many of you find yourselves today; I had gone down the standard medical route and after many failed attempts and thousands of dollars wasted. I felt at a loss with nowhere to turn and no options left. I felt desperate and knew that I had to find a better way.

Having suffered with PCOS for many years I finally had my beautiful baby daughter Lucy in April 2009. This was partly due to my determination not to let anybody, especially Doctors, tell me that I could not have a child. But really it was finding out about Holistic treatments that really made my dream come true.

PCOS and Holistic Treatments

After I came through the trying and depressing experience in my life of suffering with PCOS and feeling the absolute joy and complete euphoria of having my beautiful baby daughter I knew that it was my duty to help other women that feel as I once felt. I knew that there was not many answers out there for woman that had been unsuccessful with normal medical treatments when it came to PCOS. So I knew that I had to help and that’s why I have set up this website.

I’m not here to try and convince you of the benefits of Holistic medicines. People, I feel, have already made up their mind about Holistic treatments. What I want to is provide you with the experience I’ve had with Holistic treatments so that you can make a better informed choice.

And choices is one thing every woman needs when they suffer with PCOS.

I felt I had run out of choices. I had spent several years trying to conceive and with hundreds of thousands of dollars spent and dozens of doctors, nurses, specialists and even a clairvoyant, I am embarrassed to say, I ran out of choices. I was so upset and demoralized; I felt I had no options left. I literally got down on my knees and I prayed for a miracle, and that’s exactly what I was given.

At a very dark period in my life while suffering with PCOS I began to feel that I had no where left to turn. I had run out of options and felt in my heart that I would never conceive a child. It was during this time that I found Laura Hennings. Who is Laura Hennings you may have just asked? Well Laura, as my husband John likes to say, is the woman that got me pregnant.

Laura Hennings, like me and many other women, was infertile. Laura suffered from “Non-specific Infertility” which is the most complex and difficult type of infertility to manage or treat and especially to cure. With “Non-specific Infertility” there is only a 2% chance of ever conceiving a child, however, with using the methods discovered she now has two beautiful children. When I first came across her website I was desperate. I had run out for options and was quickly running out of money. I must be honest and say I was skeptical at first, I mean I had met with dozens of medical professionals and spend thousands of dollars with no results.I was unsure about Holistic medicines and what, if any, potential benefits they might have.

However a lot of my concerns were completely washed away when I read Laura’s own personal story and the stories of other women that had used her method.

Once I had read through her website and realized that her book was only $39 I immediately bought a copy. Now $39 may seem like a lot but when you compare that to a visit to a specialist or even a course of In Vitro at $55,000, it really does not amount to an awful lot of money were infertility is concerned. I only wish that I had found Laura and her website first before, what seems like it now, was a waste of time and money. Modern medicine is quick to treat PCOS with harsh prescription drugs and very invasive treatments but not so with the holistic method. It’s a natural and gentle way to getting pregnant and really natural and gentle is how life should be.

So this is my story and really the reason why I set up this blog. This Blog is somewhere you can be given information and read about other peoples experience with PCOS.

I will end by saying how grateful I am to Laura and that even if I help just one woman with the difficulties of PCOS I know that I have paid back the miracle that I myself have been given.

One of the main symptoms of PCOS relates to hair growth or lack of it, this is one of the most common problem in women that suffer with PCOS Syndrome. It is not unusual for women with polycystic ovary syndrome to complain of excess hair growth on their face and body or to experience the exact opposite problem: a loss of hair. In either instance, the reason for the change in hair growth is, yet again, too much androgen hormones.

Androgens are a group of hormones, such as testosterone, found at high levels in men but present in women at much lower levels.

Women that suffer with PCOS tend to have higher levels of androgena and these excess hormones lead to hirsutism.

Symptoms of PCOS – Hirsutism

Hirsutism is a condition that leads to women having thick, darker and much quicker hair growth on their face and body. Although woman who think they are experiencing symptoms of PCOS might only suffer with hirsutism, although an amazing 90% of woman that have this condition do suffer with PCOS. So even though you might think that additional or thicker hair growth could be a part of growing older it can actually be one of the symptoms of PCOS.

Reduction in hair growth is also know as one of the many symptoms of PCOS with a lot of women suffering from male-pattern baldness. Again the change in hormones leads to this problem and this type of hair loss is known as androgenic alopecia. It is not as severe as alopecia but does result in some significant patches of baldness. Luckily enough it is treatable.

Symptoms of PCOS – Obesity

About 40% of women that have PCOS Syndrome tend to be overweight or suffer from Obesity.

It is also apparent that overweight or Obese woman are more susceptible to PCOS Syndrome. So as well as being a symptom it can also be a factor in contributing to PCOS.

Being over weight can also aggravate PCOS and unfortunately the changes in hormones make weight loss more difficult.

Symptoms of PCOS – Menstrual Issues

Three out of four women with PCOS suffer with menstrual issues, these issues can start as early as puberty. The severity of the issue differs from woman to woman and can change even from cycle to cycle but most will suffer anovulation or amenorrhea. Period disturbance is an obvious sign that there is a problem with ovulation and we will now look at why the menstrual cycle is affected by PCOS Syndrome.

Hormonal Imbalance is the main culprit.

In a normal menstrual cycle the ovaries begin to develop 20 eggs every month. These eggs mature in little sacs known as cysts. Over the course of the month, one egg will become dominant and draw most of the hormones being produced, eventually being released by the ovary to be fertilized or shed with your period.

Women with PCOS, though, fail to produce the correct balance of estrogen necessary to help one egg become dominant.

As a result, the 20 eggs develop but remain as cysts, which in turn results in the production of androgens, or male hormones, and little to no production of progesterone because of the build up of androgens and lack of progesterone, women with PCOS may have irregular periods, fail to ovulate (anovulation), or fail to have a period (amenorrhea) entirely. When a period does occur, many women with PCOS note that their bleeding can be quite heavy. Those women dealing with irregular or heavy periods due to PCOS can use the birth control pill to help regulate their menstrual cycle.

With an increase in the usage of the contraceptive pill controlling many women’s normal periods and as irregularity or heaviness is a common complaint at this time, even in the absence of PCOS, this often leads to a delay in the diagnosis. This means that many of the symptoms of pcos are not as noticeable until the birth control pill is stopped and finding periods cease or become irregular.

Infertility

With the menstrual cycle being affected by PCOS Syndrome through irregular or absent ovulation, its not surprising that it is a common cause of infertility. It is important to remember however that only a proper fertility diagnosis can determine whether or not fertility can be achieved while suffering with PCOS. However it is very important to watch out for symptoms of PCOS as it can lead to infertility in a high number of cases.

Some women with PCOS will ovulate normally, some will ovulate less frequently (leading to a delay to pregnancy) and some will not ovulate at all, meaning that for some infertility treatment might be necessary.

Women who have already been diagnosed with PCOS may not be too surprised by their fertility problems. However, a number of women may not even realize that they have PCOS until they starttrying to conceive. While 75% of women with PCOS do have menstrual problems, 25% do not. Some women may gohave always had regular periods but never realized that they were not ovulating. Others may have had the occasional irregular period, but felt that it was nothing to be too concerned about, assuming a skipped period was due to stress or some other factor. Regardless of the reason, some women will only learn of their PCOS condition when they are investigated for infertility problems.

Getting Help

If you recognize two or more of these possible symptoms of pcos, make an appointment with your health care provider to investigate whether you may have PCOS. While a cure for PCOS has yet to be found, effective treatment for these symptoms is available.

For anyone diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), finding a pcos treatment and having a baby can prove difficult. One side effect of the syndrome is infertility, and discovering a Polycystic ovary syndrome therapy can by trying. Although you will find quite a few traditional medical procedures and drug treatments to try, you’ll find other holistic options, which might just present a PCOS treatment therapy that so many women so desperately seek.

In this write-up, we’ll study Pregnancy Miracle, the technique declaring to deliver amazing outcomes with regards to finding a Pcos treatment that helps with infertilty. First, it’s crucial to know just a little bit about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS. PCOS is a condition where by poorly developed follicles within the ovaries create cysts. Follicles are sacs that contain eggs; thus, when these follicles begin to form numerous small cysts, eggs are not released regularly. As a result, infertility might be a risk. Pcos affects hormone cycles, which regulate the growth of eggs. Some specialists think that women with PCOS have ‘abnormal’ amounts of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and higher degrees of male hormones. No matter what the causes or symptoms of PCOS could be, the prognosis for getting pregnant may be grim.

Though you will find advances in Western medicine that will treat this infertility issue, several females have chosen to investigate an alternative PCOS treatment.

There is a holistic and all-natural approach to Polycystic ovary syndrome therapy, offered in the e-book, Pregnancy Miracle. This ebook was created by a woman named Lisa Olson, who battled with infertility for many years. She studied natural approaches rooted in Chinese philosophy, to be able to overcome her very own infertility. Since, Ms. Olson went on to successfully conceive two children employing a holistic approach, she decided to author a book to assist other women overcome their struggles.

Women looking for a PCOS treatment have found that Pregnancy Miracle helped them.

Although there are many couples who have praised Pregnancy Miracle for providing useful info, which includes what foods to avoid when attempting to conceive, together with the way to chart fertility cycles, many people have been harsh with this program. E-books can have a reputation of becoming “scams” or “get-rich-quick” ploys. Thus, people desperately looking for a PCOS treatment or other remedy for infertility are much more skeptical to trust a downloadable book as a viable resource.

Even so, Ms. Olson does provide a two-month, money-back guarantee to entice shoppers to try her technique in order to uncover positive outcomes. With little risk involved, a lot of desperate couples have praised Pregnancy Miracle as a wonderful resource.

In case you or perhaps a loved one suffers from PCOS, you may desire to explore Pregnancy Miracle as a viable choice for finding a PCOS therapy. This book delivers a holistic approach to curing infertility. By bringing balance to the entire physique and naturally balancing hormones, women have discovered that a PCOS treatment is feasible through natural means. Pregnancy Miracle is definitely worth investigating and researching for potential rewards concerning an infertility cure. You just may well uncover that the details provided in this book could be the PCOS treatment or infertility support for which you’ve been waiting for.

It can lead to other serious conditions including endometrial cancer, obesity, diabetes and infertility.
“We created the PCOS Challenge television series because, despite affecting one-in-ten women, PCOS gets very little attention in the media and most people are unaware of the condition.

PCOS is often under-diagnosed and those who have been diagnosed are left wanting for more resources,” says Sasha Ottey, President of PCOS Challenge, Inc., a nonprofit PCOS support organization.

“The show will bring answers to the millions of women and families affected by the condition.”

The PCOS Challenge television show follows ten women with PCOS as they have their lives transformed by naturopathic and allopathic medical experts and three coaches – registered dietitian Rebecca Mohning, fitness trainer Josef Brandenburg and clinical psychologist Ruth Wittersgreen. The show addresses common PCOS symptoms and related conditions including infertility, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, anxiety and depression, and hirsutism.

Ottey started PCOS Challenge in 2009 after her own diagnosis a year earlier. Addressing the significant gap in the quality of information and resources available to women with PCOS, their supporters and health care professionals, PCOS Challenge has grown to more than 6,000 members in just over a year. The organization is innovative in its multimedia approach to support. Its website PCOSChallenge.com has been called the “Facebook for women with PCOS” by its members, and its popular radio show features internationally renowned experts, New York Times best-selling authors and stories from women living with PCOS.

The organization also provides offline support networks and educational seminars.

“PCOS Challenge is a television series that will make a difference in people’s lives. It is our hope that the series and PCOS get the attention they deserve. Sasha Ottey and the women on the show are all heroes and needed advocates for women’s health,” says William R. Patterson, CEO of The Baron Solution Group and Executive Producer of PCOS Challenge.

Support for PCOS Challenge is provided in part by Chiral Balance, LLC; EA Sports Active division of Electronic Arts, Inc.; Diet-to-Go; US Foodservice; Pulling Down the Moon; Shady Grove Fertility Center; SUBWAY of Georgetown; Definitions Personal Training Plus; and Green Mountain at Fox Run.
