Super Satsang only 2 days away!

Preparations are well and truly underway for Sundays Super Satsang. The centres have been extremely busy all week packing boxes, ordering flowers, arranging helpers and delivering all that is needed to the hall. Everyone is now busy working hard on a Friday night setting up the hall, erecting the stage, hanging the pictures, arranging the seats, and most importantly cleansing and clearing the energy of the hall.

It's going to be a great weekend. The Tantra workshop tomorrow will help anchor the energy and then on Sunday Marrickville and the people of Sydney will be blessed with an experience like no other! I for one can't wait until I'm sitting in the hall blissing out to the sounds of Sushumna Shanti Mission's amazing musicians. If you would like to a taste of their music follow the link.

Sunday morning 24^th July in Marrickville, come experience a concert like no other – a musical celebration of peace – featuring ‘call and response’ audience participation and sacred music from East and West. It’ll be a morning of amazing music and high energy, all run by donation. Afterwards, there’ll be a Q&A with Australian Guru and founder of Shanti Mission, Shakti Durga; author, musician and profound spiritual teacher.

Date– Sunday 24 July, 2011, commencing at 9.30am (morning session will finish around Midday)

Venue– Marrickville Town Hall, 303 Marrickville Road, Marrickville.

Parking– available on streets around the venue

Public Transport– Marrickville station is a 10-minute walk. Buses stopping directly outside the town hall are 423, L23, 425, and 426

Catering– Shanti Cafe will have food and tea, coffee, chai, etc. available after Satsang

The Sydney Harmony Centre is buzzing with excitement as we prepare for the mammoth Super Satsang on Sunday 24 July at Marrickville Town Hall. We have formed ourselves in to working groups so that tasks can flow with ease and grace.

Marrickville town Hall will be converted in to a beautiful sacred space to feed our souls and the Shanti Cafe will feed our bodies. Two delightful young women have undertaken to coordinate the provision of nutritious organic food.

And we are preparing to meet and greet very many new comers and welcome them in to our community.

This is an event not to be missed.

What is Satsang?

The events we will be mainly concerned with here are Super Satsang. Satsang is a Sanskrit word sat means truth and sanga means company so you could look at it as a way of coming together with people in the name of truth. The Shanti Mission Harmony Centre runs satsangs every Sunday and they are full of love, peace and the most beautiful uplifting music. Shakti Durga the founder of The Shanti Mission defines our Sunday celebrations as "Musical Satsang to open the heart, soothe the mind and ignite the spirit"

Satsangs are held in the Sydney and Cooranbong Harmony Centres every Sunday at 9:30 by donation.
