For married women, do you remember the thrill you felt when you got engaged? When your man popped that question “Will you marry me?” it made you want to walk on the clouds, didn’t it? The preparation for the big day is kind of overwhelming but exciting at the same time… the wedding gowns shopping, venue planning, the ring, and all those tiny little details that would make the wedding day extra special and a truly unforgettable one.

A wedding is one event that makes me feels nostalgic every time. Looking at two lovely people in love never fail to amaze me!

Fibromyalgia Pillow

Ever heard of Fibromyalgia? It is a disorder characterized by pain due to fatigue, anxiety, depression and restless sleep. Its cause is unknown and is said to more likely affect women.

Last week my sister and her family came over to celebrate an occasion with us. It was kind of a huge event that necessitates them to stay for the night. But since she is pregnant, she needed a place that separates her from the crowd and the buzzes they’re making that time so I offered her my room. I tried to help her get utmost rest she needed but to my surprise none of what I did helped. She felt restless all night and couldn’t sleep.

Prior to that I already have read about Fibromyalgia… Of course I didn’t think it was her condition. Somehow I know how it is like being pregnant but how I wish I have that fibromyalgia pillow thing. I’ve heard it is chiropractors and medical doctors’ recommended and it does not only help people having fibromyalgia disorder but also help soothe those who have other sleeping issues like heavy snoring, insomnia, and even those who are suffering from migraine like me as well as allergies and asthma. See how useful it is? But then such pillow is never available in any stores so I guess really have to save for one... or maybe two!

We will never really know when tragedy strikes. I was talking to a friend this morning via Facebook chat and was startled to have found out that they're one of those thousands of people who have tried to survive when flash flood hit the neighboring city last week. That incident was all over the local and national news all through-out the week.

I've seen some photos she uploaded on the site that are really so disheartening to look at - pictures of different puzzled faces of people who doesn't seemed to know where to go, pictures of poor innocent children who doesn't seem to understand what was going on to their place and that of their deluged house and almost all of their belongings.

But on the lighter side, it is nice to know that the government of the said city was too quick to respond and assisted them with their urgent needs while other agencies and even some private lending institution offered financial remedies in a form of fast or instant cash loan to the victims. Thumbs up to all these kind-hearted people! They are what we truly need in times of crisis like this.

I had a bad dream last night that woke me earlier than I used to. On my feet and in the bathroom! I rarely stop and stare at myself in the mirror in the wee hours of the morning just to notice how my hair have grown. I must admit I give very poor attention towards my hair. I’m even too lazy to brush them regularly. Now isn’t that a shame?

The first and the last time I cut my hair so short was when I was like 16 or 17 and promised never to cut it beyond shoulder length again. Not like I’m good at taking care of it… I just simply want to keep it long even if all I do is to tie if not clasp them up all day long. If I need to look better than while staying at home there’s always a handy hair straightener to save my day. It’s no ghd straightener but it works just as fine. Looking to try for one though!

Somehow men are right. Women are expensive. That’s right. But I’ve been trying to be less and thanks God for the gift of wisdom. I was able to learn some of those DIY (do-it-yourself) woman’s fancy tasks because truth is, I really don’t have a man to pay it all for me when I need them. (Wink!)

Summer oh summer... soon you are about to end... LOL! Hello ladies! Counting myself in here again!

We (my family) don't usually make specific plans on how we should celebrate summer. Though treating ourselves, especially the little ones with ice cream, fruits shakes or anything cold has already been a practice.

There they are having their ice cream while playing one of their favorite activities this year - scrabbling - but of course that's next to playing PC games. :D

Also this year, the grandma is too diligent to administer advance study for each of them. I'm glad! They get to enjoy while learning at the same time... and that my sisters and I don't have to pay summer fees for everything they've learned. How's that for a savings? LOL!

By the way, I had to use the laptop's camera because my poor digicam's charger stopped working for me. It has been a while and it's making me sad I had to miss events at some point. :(

But all in all it's one fun, great summer 2011 for us.

Love, romantic, sweet, mellow songs or tunes - however you wanna call it, I sure know lots of it.

My fascination to classic oldies started way way back when I was still a teen... there's this one popular radio station that my late Papa only listens to and only at certain hours of each Sunday that only plays classic love songs from the 70's and 80's. Being in the same roof I couldn't help but to listen too till I get accustomed to them. They're all easy to the ears so unlike others I don't have to write down the lyrics of each and memorize. I simply sing along as the music go till I can fully grasp the whole of it.

My love to music has leveled up over the years. I've come to learn how to play a guitar and this song entitled "SONG FOR YOU" by CHICAGO was the subject of my very first guitar playing attempt.

Nothing was really so special about this song. But when I first heard my brother playing it on a guitar, there's this something I can't explain that suddenly draws me in to it. Was it a spell? No one really knows. I asked how its chords like then he handed me the guitar and allowed me to explore it myself.

No, the song doesn't really make me cry. But it sure reminds me every time how much I am being loved and cared for by the man who is all up to conquering the world for me, LOL. Up until now I still have this song in my play list along with bunch of others including the songs I've learned during my dad's time.

I don't go out that much on ordinary days or purposely go to certain places just to take pictures. That's why when JK came last year, we went to visit several places and made sure to take as many pictures as we did. There should be enough to look back at and to reminisce till his next visit and that is going to be - guess what - SOON!

Hahahaha!I had our host's page open to check what's for this week's GT theme and I was getting my page ready for a post when this song "crazy frog" pops out on the air in full volume and I was like... Aww! What is that? Where did that come from?

JK was on too. We usually talk on Skype pretty much everyday and I know he loves playing music too so I thought it was him. Usually I just turn the volume down whenever he plays a song and I don't feel like listening to it so I did yet the loud music continues. Only then I realized that it came from the GT post, waahhahahaha! Pardon me to agree with you, sis but yea I find that song really annoying too.

Another music genre that I (not hate) but would rather not listen to is the heavy/rap metal. My brother is into some of them and thanks God I don't share a living room with him, LOL! Some of the songs have good beats though but what's so irritating is when I can't even grasp some good lyrics other than swears and mean words just like this one from SLAPSHOCK. Can't even utter its title but it's again another famous swear, LOL!

GT... GT... GT... GT... why am I always missing you?

I swear I have read GT's theme for the month back from our host's page and promised not to miss any of it but now I realized I just missed the last week again, arghhhh.... now that made me contemplate 'where was I on the 3rd?' I really don't know the answer but anyway, there's no sense of crying over spilled milk so let me just head on...

So from the stupidest to the most courageous act we've done for love - or rather for fun (but still with the one you love) if am allowed to make a bit of revisions here, LOL!

The place on the picture is called Bamboo Garden Resort and it's a 30 minutes or so drive away from our home. We dared to go up there during JK's first visit here in my hometown last year. The resort itself is a beautiful place to spend time with and JK especially indeed had so much fun capturing the nature and enjoying the company of the family at the same time.

But the biggest downside of the story was... the place is the home of rebels - obviously not a safe place for foreigners like JK to go to, huh. But my cousin offered his car so that somehow cut my worries down. The whole time we were there I was stealthily praying for nothing wrong to happen till we can safely leave the place and I really thank God for granting my requests for that day. If not, I would have been the most regretful person alive on earth today.

Hi! It's nice to be back here. It's exactly been 74 days since my last update and now the counting has to stop.

And so to start it back off, let me make you drool for a bit here with my MYM entry for the week.

One of the tasty meals we (JK and I) have had back at Hof Gorei Resort. It's called Fettuccini Gregorio. Flat noodles in cream sauce and prawns --- a true Italian taste at a very affordable cost of $5.50/ serving.

I'll definitely try this one out again next time.

For me, it's always an alcohol! Needless to explain its importance! Shampoo and conditioners of course are just as important to me too but I always make sure to keep those in big bottles so they could last me for at least a month.

I'm really not big on cosmetics and other beauty products. I don't even wear face powder on ordinary days. Not that I don't have any but I really don't feel like using them when I don't need to. But show me where nail polishes are and I will surely be right there and then. Unfortunately, I don't think I have any uploaded pictures of my nail polish collection that I can pull out from my hard drive other than this (it's blurry, sorry) and in which I actually didn't buy myself, hehe. They are gifts!

The Crocodile Park was one of the many places that JK and I didn't miss visiting while in Davao last month.

This so fabulously colored specie on the picture is sure no croc but it is peacefully dwelling in exactly the same place along with other different critters at the park... birds, sea and jungle creatures to name a few.

The specie is called "Yellow Boa or "Albino Ball Python.

You think you can make a pet out of this so lovely-looking crawler?

First off, I'd like to agree to our host... I think no one in this world who doesn't own a piece or a pair of something black in his life.

When I was in college, I was once asked why do I love the color black. And my not so stupid answer was; "because I see clarity in black". Actually that answer still makes me wonder until now. Do I even make sense at all? LOL!

But seriously, I define black as elegant. Not to mention how black clothing do tricks with plus size figures and spare them a little from insecurities, embarrassment or however they may call it. Trust me, I have tried it myself... not because I am a plus size but because I wanted to sport my shape and make it more noticeable, hahaha, illusionada! But that was before.

Oh well anyway, I been talking about clothes when all I really have to feature for this week's theme are these two... soon-to-be in my possession gadgets. I hope this one works. Again, they're not in my hands yet but they're sure mine. Instead of shipping, JK preferred to carry both along since he is coming anyway... and that is real SOON.

I only needed a little extra (maybe like 320 GB) for a hard drive but I was given 1TB. Imagine that! With this, I'm pretty sure I won't be in need of it again for a very long time. I just can't wait to empty a partition of my internal hard drive as soon as it comes in and make my computer move in a snap!

I have blogged about this before and will still do blog about it each time I get the chance... that is, if I am to choose a costume to wear for a certain Halloween Party I would definitely pick this one!

Who wouldn't want to look pretty even at the... well... eeriest time of the year? (Laughs!)

GT: purple craze

I forgot! Really I did... that it's Thursday and that GT is on, sheesh! Oh well, I roughly have four hours left before this week's Thursday is over so I'd better get this entry posted before anything else will get in the way.

I got these two nice purple clothes (L: a women's jersey sleep wear R: lacey top) from the _th box that JK sent me early this year. The sleep wear has become my favorite since, but then of course I wanted it to stay longer in my closet so I don't have to wash and wear it time and again. It's a gift from a very dear person to me... therefore it is special and I love it big time.

The lacey top on the other hand is simply nothing but gorgeous!

Also along with these purple clothes are some purple signature items from BBW. Just don't bother yourself too much on the yellows below. They're simply just part of the pic, lol!

So anyway, for purple ones, I got Black Raspberry Vanilla, shower gel, perfume, hand and body lotion and they all smell oh so good... Just right and easy to my sensitive nostrils.

Need I say more? I know you Filipino bloggers are familiar with these popular meal from one of the most popular pizza shops here in the country. We had it after my sister's last visit to her doctor last week.

So my dear sister didn't bother to react when I pulled my camera out and started taking picture of the foods because she knew right away what I was planning to do with them, hehe!
