Instead of the usual bouquet of flowers, last V-day the husby decided to give me one of the things that I so want since last year — a lighting kit!

I am so touched because he has a full on support for my hobby which is food photography {as you can see from my food blog}.

Now I don’t need to worry about taking food shots during the later part of the day when there’s not much natural light.

My beginner’s kit includes:

• 30cm reflector with a satin finish
• focusable Ceramic socket
• removable fabric diffuser
• 5’8″ Stand Spigot
• 26W spiral bulb
• Clamp

I may have to buy brighter bulb in the future and that sheer white umbrella as an additional diffuser…..

..and I may have to paint some wood for additional backgrounds, hee…

Nope, totally not the “feeling” like a photographer type… just a person who loves her hobby too much.

a post it with a love note stuck on my old phone

One of the things that I love about my dear peanutbutter♥ is that he leaves me love notes on random places.. and when I find it, I would always swoon.

I love getting and reading love notes whether in the form of a card, a stationery or a post it…..

What’s important is the message in it.

The photo above was of a love note a couple of years ago….and that love note still makes me sigh……

It can still feel make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. And I’m pretty sure it can make the temperatures of all outdoor thermometers in the area rise too.

This week we were able to watch  Journey 2: Mysterious Island, the sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth.

It is about Sean Anderson partnering with his mom’s husband, Hank on a mission to find his grandfather, who is thought to be missing on a mythical island.

With the giant butterflies and small elephants and the small sharks and the giant electric eel, you wouldn’t find boredom in the kids faces.

On other news……

I bought something at the mall yesterday. Something I’m not ready to disclose just yet because I think it’s faulty. I’m gonna have to call the store where I bought it from so they can replace it with a new one.

Just when I thought I could play those discount music cds I bought from the same mall.. tsk tsk..

Anyway, I just hope this gets resolved today and I could drop by at the store tomorrow… I’m excited to listen to those beat!

Being thankful for what we have is what powers up my positive thinking… the blessings that I receive each day makes me more than happy and content.

♥ I’m thankful for the chaotic yet FUN post-Valentine’s Date yesterday

♥ This week I lost 4 lbs.  Yes, it was slow but now I’m starting to see the result of my work out and my diet.

♥ I’m thankful for the doctors and nurses in pretty lab coats in San Lorenzo for checking up on Ykaie and Cyvrine whenever I bring them to the hospital.

♥ It’s only 74 more days and peanutbutter♥ is coming home.

♥ I am very thankful to God for giving me husband who gave me a bouquet of light instead of flowers last V-Day. I’m going to buy that light today and it just gives me a whole lot of inspiration.

♥ lastly, I’m thankful for the happy feeling that just won’t leave my heart…

It’s a fine Saturday. I’m off to Rockwell for lunch.

Look at how time flies. It’s already mid February and pretty soon, before you even know it, it’s Summer. We all know that Summer is the season of sunburn, tan lines, tanning spray, the skimpiest swimsuits and beach trips. Our beach vacay has already been planned, booked and paid for but how can I be cute in a swimsuit if I haven’t been losing weight the way that I should?

I know I should accompany this exercise with a certain diet. Hmmmnn…

I’m having my lazy day today and been doing nothing but watching my favorite series. So far I’m done with NCIS L.A., Spartacus and Being Human US….

Hawaii Five-O is next…

When we went last week at the 168 Mall in Divisoria, there was this stall at the new food court selling shaved ice. We wanted to try it because it looked so good in the photos on display but apparently it doesn’t really taste that good in real life…

Sis ordered one of their Halo-Halo Shaved ice which was made of mango-flavored shaved ice and toppings like macapuno, nata de coco, beans, and ube. The mango-flavored shaved ice taste like artificial flavorings and it didn’t complement any of the toppings. Didn’t taste like halo-halo at all.

I was very disappointed.

She also ordered the Chocolate Shaved Ice with a jelly topping which didn’t taste like chocolate at all. The kids only ate a few spoonfuls and left it there to melt.

I’m trying to remember the name of the stall but I just couldn’t. So disappointed.

It’s Sunday, time to list all the things that I’m thankful for this week…

♥ Even though peanutbutter♥ is away, I still have a V-Day date……with sis and the kids next week.

We bought that 6-course feast for 2 at Illustrado and we already have a reservation. It would be nice to be back in the walls of Intramuros. I have such nice memories there.

♥ I am on my 3rd week on Shaun T’s Hip Hop Abs. I’m so happy doing that work out. I’m not even dieting and I found myself fitting into pairs of shorts that doesn’t fit after Christmas. My work out time is up to 60-minutes daily. It makes me feel tired and refreshed at the same time. Sleeping on my latex mattress is a lot more blissful after the work-out too.

♥ Ykaie drew lots of trees, clouds, flowers and houses this week. She colored them right and she even drew mommy and daddy, with mommy’s hair straight down and daddy’s hair straight up…hee.

♥ I’m thankful for the three kids who calls me mommy. They make me crazy and keep me smiling all day. They make me feel like I have three daughters instead of one and it keeps me grounded.

♥ I’m thankful for the husband who call me “mahal”, works hard for the family and talks to me at the end of each day. {I love you so much, peanutbutter♥}

It’s a nice day to go out. I wanna do something spontaneous….

Already in the third episode, I find The Finder highly amusing.
