Local Heroes Fun Day is a great day to meet all of the local organizations including the Austin Police Department, Austin-Travis County EMS and the Travis County Sheriff Department. There are belt loops available and many other activities.

Webelos Winter Camp 2013 at Cub World at Camp Tom Wooten

Fees: Youth camper Fee is $150. Adult fee is $80 (both fees include t-shirt & patch)

Webelos Winter Camp is a four day, three night camp for first and second year Webelos Scouts. Scouts will have an opportunity to earn many of the Webelos Activity Badges including Fitness, Outdoorsman, Craftsman, Scientist, Athlete, Readyman, Handyman and Forester. Some of the requirements for the Webelos Badge and the Arrow of Light will also be covered. Webelos will also have the opportunity to experience classic outdoor Scouting activities like star gazing, fishing, hiking as well as the themed program areas of Cub World.

Tiger Cub Adventure Day!

This is one of the funnest days for our new Tiger Cubs! Tiger Cub Adventure Day! This is also an introduction for parents to visit Cub World. This day camp has some great activities.

Service Opportunity: Tree Conservation Project

We will be meeting on Friday, October 18 at Pease from 4:30 to 6. We will begin conducting a tree survey of the trees at Pease. This is the first step of our tree conservation service project. If your Scout will need to be picked up from PEP, please let me know and be sure to inform your Scout’s PEP teacher. I would love to have some parents help with the project. EAT REAL BOY SCOUT CHOW
We’re going Green! Please bring your own eating gear for Saturday nights dinner. You will be eating with a neighborhood Troop. If you have been invited by a Troop you will be eating with them. If you have not been invited by a Troop you will be included in a nearby Troops meal. All meals are “Pot Luck” in nature. If you have special dietary concerns, please be prepared with an alternative meal. Due to the nature of this event, we can not assure you that special dietary needs will be accommodated.

SHOWMAN PIN! Review the requirements: # 9 and # 19 will be completed at Wwow!
Your Webelos will be able to start, if not complete, the Webelos Showman Activity Pin during Wwow. They will have the opportunity to participate in the Wwow Show during lunch. They will be invited to join in a Round Dance with the Order of the Arrow Indians. How cool is that! The other items will need to be worked on together with their Akela in the evening. Please notify the Wwow Leadership at Sunday Mornings Webelos Breakfast if your Webelos Scout completed the requirements for the pin. All will be recognized at the Sunday morning Awards Ceremony with a Certificate of Participation. Your Pack will be responsible for approving and providing your Webelos his pin.

WWOW, A TOP-NOTCH PATROL
Each Webelos Patrol will be reviewed by each Troop as they participate in the Troops Activity. They will be reviewed for 1) a Patrol Yell, 2) How they work together to participate in the activity as a Unit, and 3) How they show respect for others and themselves. Each Troop may have other critieria as well. The Troops will present a special totem of some kind to the Webelos Patrol Leader of their “Wwow, A Top-Notch Patrol” winner during the Sunday morning Awards Ceremony.

Join Scouting Night 2013
