ARC Adoptions at Fifth Third Bank April 5, 2011

Peepers Pet Watch banks with Fifth Third Bank and we were happy to see that our bank supports ARC, the Animal Refuge Center, a local no-kill shelter. On Tuesday, April 5, 2011, the Fifth Third Bank HealthPark Banking Center, near Ruby Tuesday off Summerlin Road in Fort Myers, will be helping ARC to celebrate their 23rd anniversary (23 years!!!) by holding adoptions at the bank. Can’t adopt? Donations of leashes, collars, medicines, food, treats, and toys will be gladly accepted at the bank on April 5, also. What a great partnership! Thanks, Fifth Third, for supporting pet adoptions. Thanks and congratulations, ARC, for providing 23 years of valuable service in our area.

Wiener Dog Derby at Lee Civic Center March 19

Looking for something to do this Saturday? The 2011 Florida Wiener Dog Derby takes place starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Lee Civic Center on Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers. What a hoot! I cannot describe it to you any better than the event organizers themselves. Please see their Web Site for more info. All “friendly, non-aggressive breed” dogs are welcomed by Lee Civic Center. As always, remember to have your pets wear their license tag and leash.
