As I mentioned in a previous post, I thought I'd do another grunge banner set. This time, though, the main color is purple rather than pink. (Click image for listing)

I found a nice grunge background texture & changed the color to a bright purple shade, then I overlayed a damask pattern transparently, so you can still see the texture beneath it.

I used the Blackmoor font for the shop name because it just works w/this style. Let me know what you think! :)

How cool is this? (Click image to enlarge) Show you're a card-carrying geek the moment anyone sets foot in your living room! This table is made by Etsy seller Barry Shields & it costs $3,100. A bit out of my budget (huge understatement), but awesome nonetheless. :)

Here's the description on the product page:

"This Star Trek table is made from ash, poplar and cherry wood. It took me a month to build it and 2 tries to cut the 1/4" glass the way I wanted but it turned out nicely. The glass is cut to look as though its in motion and the base was designed to portray the ship in orbit over a planet. It has a beautiful rubbed poly finish coat for complete protection for many years to come. Its solid, sturdy and you CAN put your feet up on it after a long day at the office. This is a one of a kind! You will not see another one like it. Glass dimensions are 34" x 54" x 17" tall."

Whew, it's finally listed! You can click here to view the listing. As previously mentioned, this one required a bit of tweaking. First the odd looking palm tree had to be fixed, then the hibiscus stamen color changed so it would stand out.

I did the work for this design in both Illustrator & Photoshop. I created the blue sky & sun background in Illustrator, then I added the ocean in Photoshop. After that, I went back into Illustrator & added all the other details. The hibiscus I drew on a separate day altogether, so it was ready to be dropped into the new design (albeit some changes to the stamen). Let me know what you think! :)

Well, I did some necessary tweaking to the design. The palm tree looks more like a palm tree (instead of a stiff, odd shaped flower) w/flowy, drapey fronds. I also changed the color of the hibiscus stamen so it stands out a bit more. I'll probably list it this Friday. Let me know what you think! :)

As I mentioned in my last post on this project, my Sister & I both felt that adding some falling snow would complete the design.

So, I went ahead & created some falling snow in Photoshop & placed it in my Illustrator design & you can see the results above.

Ok, so this is what I have so far for my "Winter Fun" banners. If you follow me on twitter or facebook then you've probably already seen these. My Sister suggested either a few snowflakes or falling snow. I think some falling snow would complete it. Then I would just put a stroke on the shop name so it's still legible. What do you think? Let me know in the comments! :)

I've decided to actually start adding stuff to my etsy store. I've had an account for awhile, but never did anything with it. Now, I'm using it to sell ready-made graphics, such as etsy banners. I call it Peeps Graphics. Why you ask? For 2 reasons. One, that was my childhood nickname, Two, It just sounds like a good name for a cutesy/crafty graphics store.
