Lacoste Men’s Matsudo Review

Founded in 1933 Lacoste has always been considered a luxurious French company most famously known for its tennis shirts. Due to the creation of the green crocodile has Rene Lacoste and Andre Gillier created a fine company. The shirts have been considered a status symbol of some of the most prominent and competent sportsmen, doing its greatest to influence clothing options for the most elite. By 2005 nearly 50 million Lacoste products where sold in over 100 countries. Much of its success was due to marketing using some of the worlds most renowned tennis players such as Andy Roddick, Richard Gasquet and Stanislas Wawrinka, along with the incredible management style of Bernard Lacoste, son of Rene Lacoste.

Branding had been a consistent work of Bernard’s, and to the newest heir Michel Lacoste, Bernard’s youngest brother. Many by now notice that the crocodile is the brand for Lacoste which means excellence, craftsmanship, exclusivity and beyond. Moving beyond the tennis shirts was a difficult feat for the company, but now it has added a fine line of footwear to compliment the Lacoste style. To no-ones surprise many of the shoes tend to lend to a more of a casual and conservative style with the Lacoste crocodile of course.

On of our up and coming favorites is the men’s Lacoste Matsudo Sneaker, which is more a casual shoe rather than a full sneaker but non the less a sneaker for the individual looking for sport style. This sneaker is a fine full-grain leather upper in a casual sneaker style with a round toe. One of it’s best feature is the dual velcro instep straps over a mesh and patent leather tongue. On the outside of the shoe is the typical crocodile with Lacoste on the first instep strap just to remind people you are wearing a finely crafted shoe. The inside of the shoe has a padded tongue and collar with a soft fabric lining for all day wear. The out-sole is one of our favorites, its a low-profile rubber driver style out-sole which provides exceptional traction on various surfaces. There are also added perforations throughout the shoe for ventilation.

Lacoste Men's Matsudo Sneaker Available at PeltzShoes.com

Pete from Los Angeles, California, “Good quality shoes and go well with jeans.”

Vladimir from Miami, Florida, “ Well I have always wanted a pair of Lacoste, because I like the look, but was never interested in paying what I felt were exorbitant prices that they always go for. So I jumped at the chance for these at that price. Luckily I liked the look too of course. I did find that they were a little big for the size, but I always slip the old Dr. Scholls inserts in, which these shoes need like most driving shoes, and when I did, the size was perfect. I think I got a really nice looking shoes for a really good price. Very fashionable.”

Nick from Hamburg, New York, “ I wore them out of the store and was amazed at how comfortable they were and that I felt like walking barefoot. I ran with them on and really didn’t even know that I was running it was that great. Also it was like I didn’t even feel the ground impact. I’m very happy that I bought them I’m going to buy more lol.”

Dave from Toledo, Ohio ” When I’m not working, I like to do some “spirited” driving. I wanted a pair of shoes that were designed to do that. These work great. Heel toe shifting into some of my favorite corners has never felt so good. For day to day wear, they are a 10 out of 10. They are extremely comfortable, and it is something I would suggest wearing if you would be doing a lot of walking. These shoes fit the bill, perfect for what I wanted.”

Rod from Farmingdale, New York, “Very, very high end and stylish shoe. I would recommend it for anybody that can afford it =P. Not unstable at all, very breathable, comfortable, and stylish. I enjoy wearing this shoe out such as for dinner or casually walking around town.”

Lacoste has been providing high-end products for almost 80 years, to a variety of customers. The Lacoste’s have stayed true to their roots in providing a genuine product but for a varied style, making it a premier sneaker. One thing that has changed for the better is that their products are more affordable to those who don’t consider themselves a prominent individual. The price for many of their products versus the quality is truly outstanding, the value of such footwear is fantastic and really a great buy especially for those who take care of their apparel.

Running VS Training

Here’s the deal, we all know you don’t want to spend a fortune on having multiple pairs of shoes for a set of activities that might just flake in to a casual errand-running shoe over time. We’ve all been there, we’ve bought a sneaker we saw in a store, based on our own judgment, no help from an associate or if there was help they where probably lacking adequate knowledge to assess the footwear you need and for what you’d be using it for.

So let me start by telling you there is a difference in much of the athletic footwear you buy, especially in training and running shoes. Your first statement you are thinking is, “ I thought training and running shoes where considered the same,” your subsequent question would be “so what is the difference?” We’d be glad to tell you.

For starters a training shoe is the most versatile sneaker out there. It’s typically a great shoe for sports, making it both comfortable and a stability based shoe. These shoes tend to be more durable, which is good if you’d like to stretch your shoes a little past the 6 month mark (yes shoes that have daily wear only last 6 months, another day, another blog). Although it tends to be more durable it tends to be a heavier shoe overall, making it not suitable for continuous running. As for the stability in the shoe it is designed with additional support for lateral movements used in training sessions (kick-boxing, plyometrics) and thus tends to have lighter tread which means this is a shoe that could only be meant for short walking and/or warm-up cardio running.

If you now try a running sneaker, you will notice it is much more lightweight and designed for prolonged running. Beyond being lightweight, these generally have more cushion and flexibility for the foot, along with increased shock absorption from the ground, giving a thicker heel for this striking motion. The intricate treads on the sole of these shoes assist with moving or running in a forward direction. Overall with a running sneaker the purpose is to have energy disbursed from the legs to the feet and towards the running aisle, which is typical of the strategically placed cushioning and stability systems in these shoes.

Now go into one of our stores and try both and notice the difference. If you are a runner you will typically notice that a training shoe is probably too heavy for you with not enough cushion in the right places. Likewise if you are training you’ll probably notice the runner is lightweight but the lugs on the out-sole provide a different feel when you may try to be moving in a lateral motion. So if you’re in one of our stores ask for an associate they would be glad to assist you in choosing the correct pair of footwear for whatever type of fitness activity you would be partaking in. It makes a difference, better to save your feet now that to worry about fixing the pains later.

HOW long did you say I should be wearing these shoes?

Shoes take a beating, they are on our feet for a variety of reasons and for thousands of hours a year. The funny part is now shoes are going back to their original roots of becoming something just to cover your foot, so that our feet can do what they are meant to do.

We all purchase shoes and hope to get a lifetime out of them. Sometimes we consider shoes an investment, others a splurge, or a necessity, either way we look at it ALL shoes wear, some more than others some not. How would you feel If I told you if you were wearing your shoes daily that the maximum amount of time spent in your shoes would be 3-6 months. Now I know all of you just laughed and are scoffing at what I just said but lets put it into perspective.

Now how about if I told you your shoes are aging before you buy them?,..I know you laughed some more, but think about it, many shoes are glue together instead of being hand-sewn so while in the warehouse or on the store shelf they are aging much like you and I. So you say, so what? We’ll dig a little deeper, the glue is drying out, the air placed in much of the cushioning technologies are slowly dissipating,..get my drift?

Beyond that fact that your shoes are aging, think about the overall support in the shoe. Body weight should also be taken into consideration. If you are wearing the shoe daily, the more you weigh, the faster your shoes will wear out, and the more you are walking and the longer, the quicker they will wear. There is one tried and true test I put through all of my shoes, (this was after many visits to the doctor and athletic trainers) ; put your hand in your shoe and slide it towards the toe-box. If you can feel the indents of your toes on the top of the insole, they need replacing, now take one more step, take the insole out, if you can feel the indents of your toes in the midsole you need to get rid of that shoe, it is no longer serving is cushioning/supportive service. You can also do this with the outsides of the shoe and at the heel, since we all walk differently we are going to wear in different spots quickly. Quick reminder, changing the insole is not a substitute for replacing a shoe.

Other signs to look for:

Sole tread worn down (much like tread on the tires of your car)

Heel worn more on one side than the other (changes in center of balance)

Wrinkles in the side or bottom of the sole (this means the physical support and cushion system has been exhausted)

Uppers broken down around the ankle

Don’t want to replace your shoes every 3-6 months? I have the answer, buy multiple shoes. It’s sounds crazy but if you rotate your shoes with at least another pair you can have both for a year, and if you rotate with more pairs, think of how long you can have these pairs for,.. 2, 3 maybe 4 years!

I’m not saying everyone needs to get the most expensive shoes out there, but if you own several pairs you’d be saving your wallet from future injuries (shin splints, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis), you’ll have added comfort and support, or its as simple as saving time, gas or even money by ordering online and opting for a free-shipping option if available. At first I thought I was being frugal, by having one pair, but then I realized it wasn’t worth the foot problems, I mean most of us are on our feet all day, so if we aren’t supporting our feet, we are doing ourselves an injustice when by rotating pairs we can PREVENT foot issues or having to run to the store so often. Maybe you won’t go out today and buy several pairs of work shoes, maybe you’ll keep wearing your running shoes from your workout to doing errands, but if you think about it, you can help yourself.

Fila Minotona

Fila recently celebrated its 100 year anniversary as a company. The Fila brothers initially opened in 1911 in Biella a small town in northern Italy. Much of the creations the brothers has coined were in combining “luxury, art and utility,” having drawn inspiration from the landscape to create a product like none other. By 1923 the brothers where officially on the books in a limited partnership as Maglifico Biellese spending its ensuing years expanding to 1942 when the company merged with the Fratelli Fila company and another 30 years later the company had sales well over one billion Lire and more than 250 people on their staff.

Throughout the years Fila had drawn its inspiration from landscapes and coming up with a model they would live by which would be “sport is life expressed through motion, and that sportswear must complement, not overpower the athlete.” Seemingly Fila has kept true to its roots in consistently instilling these as core values for their vision, remaining true to their company creating textiles based on the “austerity of the Alps, the fluidity of the hills and the boldness of the Mediterranean coast.”

One of Filas most simple creations to grace the footwear market is the Fila Women’s Minotona Sneaker. This sneaker has had such a positive influence on health and fitness due to its phenomenal price and its attributes, its really been an astounding quality buy for many. This shoe is a great cross-training shoe, so if you are doing light running, along with work in the gym this would be a great shoe for you. It features a mesh upper for breathability with synthetic leather overlays for added lightweight support. This shoe proves to be good if you are running outside because of its light color with accenting metallics you’ll be seen more in the early morning or early evening and not have the added worry. What stands out in this shoe is the cushion at such a great value, it has a heavily cushioned tongue, collar and insole to get you through your workout without any pains. The out-sole is a triangular patterned out-sole with added flex grooves for traction on various surfaces, from grass, to asphalt and even to the rubber impact tile at the gym.

Meg from Dublin, Ohio,” Fila Shoe Company is a great fashion statement and is a great way to make all your friends envy you and your new sense of style. These are great for those comfortable fall days when you want to relax or for working out at the gym. I love these, they are a great color and are a fantastic find, I’ve already bought two more pairs that are sitting in my closet in blue and pink so I can use them later!”

Donna from Lafayette, New York,”I bought these a while ago since I’m not too much about fitness but I’ve been going to the gym regularly. These are so comfortable, they’re perfect for my style too, not too crazy on the colors. I certainly plan on purchasing more, hopefully they’ll keep me going to the gym.”

Leigh from Emmett, Idaho,”Not only are these a great value but they lasted me about a year of light gym work, since I alternate these with my running sneakers, they are a great cross-trainer!”

It’s no surprise that Fila has been creating and will continue to create quality products such as the women’s Minotona. This shoe provides a great value for those who need a casual sneaker to kick around in or are complimenting it with their workout for isometrics, weight-lifting, walking and beyond.

Nike Kid’s SMS Roadrunner Sneaker Review

Nike has been creating innovative products since 1972 with the help of Bill Bowerman and Phil Knights’ vision to inspire athletes to reach their highest potential in training and in competition. Through the Track and Field program at the University of Oregon, the runners where able to enliven the two visionaries, in turn to help the athletes become faster and wear more comfortable, supportive, and lightweight footwear. Track and Field hasn’t been the only field Nike has excelled at creating footwear for, but creating innovative shoes for children and infants has helped them with growing with better sensory skills just by improved footwear.

The Nike SMS Roadrunner was created with the child’s foot in mind, developing a product with a natural flexibility of their feet having promoted foot strength, balance, coordination and awareness. The Roadrunner is great for many reasons; it is made of a washable synthetic leather upper, which is extremely easy to clean. There are dual hook and loop closures for an easy on/off but providing a secure fit for children. The best part of this shoe is that it features Sensory Motion System (SMS) innersole. Nike Free-inspired, it used multi-directional flex grooves that allow for little feet to flex naturally, which helps in the development of muscles, which is key for foot strengthening and balance. Since the out-sole is made of minimalistic rubber, it wraps the foot and maintains flexibility where needed while providing protection, traction and durability for long-lasting wear.

Nike Kid's SMS Roadrunner Sneaker Available at PeltzShoes.com

Jay from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, “My boys where in need of some play shoes for outside, and the description for these sneakers fit exactly what I was looking for. I have absolutely NO complaints! They are incredibly lightweight and the style is very cute! My boys couldn’t wait to put them on. They fit well and have a good amount of cushion inside for comfort. As for durability, they’ve been able to hold up perfectly through all their rough playing! I find it rather easy to clean them up as well. I highly recommend them and will definitely be purchasing another pair for them.”

Kevin from Parker, Colorado, “I am a fashion nut and I wouldn’t have my child in nothing less than the best. These shoes really make an outfit complete. The first day my son wore these shoes to school, his teachers pulled out their camera phones in aww! They are very flexible and light/ The best part is my son can put them on himself with no problems at all. Surprisingly the leather tow can withstand his dragging feet while playing…no discolor. Also they run a little big but that’s cool because he will eventually fit them perfect.”

Mert from the United Kingdom, “We finally found the right shoe to my active son They are lightweight, healthy, comfortable and trendy. They are soft and the flexible bottom is perfect. We will definitely get another when the current ones get small. He liked them very much.”

More often that not are children’s shoes, infants and toddlers in particular are created too bulky and end up being a shoe that’s too clunky for a child. This shoe is perfect, its flexible yet structured for the young child’s foot, in so that it helps them to become stronger from a young age. The durability of the shoe makes it great for parents too, since its able to be easily washed it make it much easier not to mention that the velcro makes getting dressed and easier task. Nike has done it again creating a shoe that both good for children and adults, its teaches and it helps, a versatile shoe makes it easiest for all.

Fila Tenet Running Sneaker

Fila has been able to grace our presence for over 100 years. Now in their 101th year, they are providing the best in athletics and performance as they did when the company was just textiles. Having taken much of its inspirations from the landscapes of northern Italy including the Alps, the boldness of the Mediterranean, and the vastness of the hills, taking the Fila brothers’ hometown to the next level in Biella.

Mens’ footwear has generally stayed fluid throughout the years, maintaining a casual, comfortable and versatile look. One of these to have a consistently casual look with the performance is the Fila Tenet. This is another one of Filas’ fantastic creations at an unbelievable value. The Tenet features a mesh upper for a breathable shoe with synthetic leather overlays for added lightweight support. This shoe proves to be good if you are doing your workouts outside because of its light color with accenting metallics you’ll be seen more in the early morning or early evening and not have the added worry. What stands out in this sneaker is the cushion at such a great value, it has a heavily cushioned tongue, collar and insole to get you through your workout without any aches or pains. The out-sole is a triangular patterned out-sole with added flex grooves for traction on various surfaces, from grass, to asphalt and even to the rubber impact tile at the gym.

Fila Men's Tenet Running Sneaker Available at PeltzShoes.com

Kevin of Ramsey, New Jersey, ”Nice looking and very comfortable shoes at a VERY affordable price, which makes them a great buy for growing boys.”

Byron of Newfoundland, Canada, “I bought these on a trip in the US, and they’ve held up well, I bought them because they were inexpensive and I forgot to pack my sneakers but they ended up being my go-to casual shoe, and they were a good choice.”

By initially looking at this shoe you would see that it is a well crafted sneaker, with the thought of use in mind. It’s colors are neutral which make it great for just about anyone, and the colors are that they wouldn’t get too dirty quickly or that they would look that way quickly. Tried and true, Fila has created another wonderful product, this we would compare to the women’s Fila Minotona which a great value for the quality of the shoe. So if you’re looking for affordable footwear but a great value for the gym this is the shoe for you, and maybe you’ll like it so much you’ll get a few pairs, because good things don’t last forever!

Trending 2012

We are just a few days into the new year and with the new year, many of you are probably thinking about what is trending for 2012. We’ve seen a huge break lately and this year is the year for Barefoot Minimalism. Last year it was mainly for runners but this year, 2012 brings the barefoot minimalism to all people, walkers, casualists, fashionistas and beyond.

So you’re probably asking what is barefoot minimalism? I’ll gladly indulge you. Barefoot minimalism is the concept of using the foots natural movement and the body’s gait to create footwear that seemingly fits like a sock or a glove. This concept is used to promote these natural motions to bring back the most basic of things that we as humans have changed so much, creating a plethora of foot problems for people.

So if you haven’t been able to see what the barefoot concept looks like, heres a little glimpse of the barefoot approach we have embraced:

Merrell Women's Wonder Glove Barefoot Mary-Jane Available at PeltzShoes.com

Merrell took Mary-Janes to a new level with the Wonder Glove!

Merrell Women's Litheglove Barefoot Running Sneaker Available at PeltzShoes.com

Running has NEVER been this fun!

Fut Glove Men's 1-Up Barefoot Golfing Shoe Available at PeltzShoes.com

The men weren’t left out either, they’ve got a barefoot inspired golf shoe!

New Balance Men's MT20 Minimus Barefoot Running Sneaker Available at PeltzShoes.com

New Balance even hopped on the band-wagon with a Minimus Barefoot Running Sneaker!

As you can see here minimalism has gone beyond just the runner. The Wonderglove is a casual Mary-Jane in a fun and refreshing lavender color, which if you think about it would be fantastic with denim skirts, vintage jeans, or even khaki shorts. The Litheglove, another Merrell creation is a barefoot runner freshly created for performance and training, but not for nothing this shoe is just plain cool looking. The New Balance WT20GP is the modified version of the WT10, which has a slightly different upper but fairly similar to the WT10 in so that it is a premier training shoe designed for on/off trail use, what I believe is the main difference is the WT20 is more feminine. It gives you the typical barefoot runner look but a “hardcore feminine look.” As for the Fut Glove 1-Up, probably looks like the 5 finger shoes you are used to but seriously this is a golf shoe,… yes I said it, GOLF SHOE. You can feel the terrain while golfing, which is especially crucial on the green.

Not only has barefoot minimalism expanded from the runners world, but now its brought to everyones wardrobe for daily wear and even golfing! Lets face it, no ones feet are perfect, why are we still putting our feet in abnormal positions and shoes that don’t naturally conform to the way our feet look? Watch out 2012, we are taking care of our feet and doing it in style!

Theres always a comeback

We all know that every decade has seemingly made a come back when it comes to style. How many times are you wishing your kept your tie-dye shirts, aviators, or leg-warmers, because what was fashion then is glamorous now. So you’re probably wondering what could possibly be “in” now,… no its not the Jeri curl, I promise.–its the 1970′s but back in a more fun and daring style. From metallics, snake-skins, platforms and even to disco inspired embellishments, pull out the bell-bottoms and the BareTraps because you’re making a comeback on the dance floor.

Puma Men's Whirlwind Sneaker Available at PeltzShoes.com

Some of the latest footwear really has brought people back, but in a refreshed and redone way. And not only women’s shoes but men’s shoes as well. Spectators are making a huge comeback and have been around for over 4 seasons now, not to mention Platforms which have also made a come back.

Born Women's Coraline Clog Available at PeltzShoes.com

Many of us like to also think that we have to sacrifice comfort for style, and in 2012, this is not the case. Many shoes are adding comfort insoles, traction outsoles, midsoles with various technologies to save us from wearing the “Oh so beautiful but terribly uncomfortable” shoe all day long. So take your pick from mens to womens, because the 70′s are back and maybe this time around you’ll remember to keep some of these for a while because as you know, everything always makes a comeback.

Saucony ProGrid Ignition 3 Review

Saucony’s various lines of sneakers have been geared towards running. The fuel to keep creating various sneakers for different runners through runners’ inspiration has created a large company to which they can compete with other companies such as Nike, New Balance or Asics. Runners provide ideas for better products and increase how the runner and the shoe will perform over time. Saucony has not only created a shoe for running but various style of running, along with distances and what the runners are truly looking for in a sneaker.

One of the newest sneakers to grace the Saucony shelves is the ProGrid Ignition 3 Running Sneaker. The Ignition 3 is one of the newest in mid-range, extremely affordable, yet a great performance sneaker for runners. The Ignition 3 features a sleek yet lightweight, breathable mesh upper with supportive overlays throughout the shoe. What you can’t see is what makes this shoe a great value. The HRC strobel board increases cushioning in the heel, compared to its similar counterparts. There is an independent crash pad (yes I said crash pad) that actually softens the blow on the heel-strike along with an injected molded EVA midsole which increases shock attenuation along with adding responsive cushioning and durability in this lightweight shoe. There is a 12mm offset from the heel-to-toe differential for a more responsive run. The outsole isn’t just some rubber that’s made to set you off from the terrain, it has a triangular lug design which gives the ability to maintain traction and cushion on ALL terrain. The carbon-rubber composite outsole material adds to the traction which has phenomenal abrasion and traction properties to various changing conditions, (dry asphalt-wet asphalt, mud-rocks). This sneaker clocks in at a jaw-dropping 10.1 oz for a sleek and comfortable ride.

Donna from Humble, Texas, “Great shoe. Very, very comfortable. Feels like you are walking on gel. I had previously tried them on at a store so I knew they ran about ½ size small. I ordered a ½ sized larger and they fit great! My feet get tired and sore very easily and I needed shoes with good support and cushioning. These are it!”

Ann from Oregon, Wisconsin, “Because of my recent knee surgeries I’ve encountered sore heels on both my feet. Therefore I have to have shoes that are well cushioned on my feet when I’m up. I usually wear Grid Omnis, but when my feet need a different feel I change into a Grid Ignition. For right now I never go anyplace without 2 pairs of Saucony Shoes and the Ignitions are usually in my duffel bad. A great shoe, light and with good cush.”

Thomas from Racine, Wisconsin,”I leave Saucony and then come back periodically and when I do I wonder why I ever left for other shoe brands. These are exceptionally comfortable and responsive with a cushioned lightweight ride. I am also amazed at the price for what you get. It’s a “neutral” shoe with a narrow toe-box and narrown heel so they are probably best for under-pronators with relatively narrow rigid feet.”

N.Whiteside from Plano, Texas, ”For the last 10 years, Saucony has been consistently been the shoe I’ve chosen as a regular runner. They’re light, tons of support for running. I ordered this pair because I wanted to try a new pair of shoes for the tendonitis and bursitis in one leg. I had visited my physical therapist and my MD, and tried stretching, muscle strengthening exercises, but wasn’t able to get back to running because I’d get a mile into it and the pain would return. After wearing these shoes for a few days the pain in my leg went away. I was able to run. This ProGrid Ignition is better than the other versions of Saucony that have less cushion. So I just recently bought a 2nd pair. Why are more people not buying these, especially when they’re on sale? Maybe I just have a unique build, or maybe people like talking about how much they paid (I like talking about how much I DIDN’T pay, at least my wife likes hearing about that). This shoe for this price is a steal.”

Moreover, looks like the value is a great shoe for the price, and not to often can you find a decent mid-range shoe which gives all the bells and whistles of a high-priced sneaker. Running doesn’t need to be an expensive feat, it just needs to be comfortable for anyone wishing to do it, and we all know we all have different feet, and more often than not the mid-range sneaker could perform as well as if not better than the high-priced sneaker. Moral of the story, a higher priced sneaker will generally give you what you want in a shoe but if you took the chance at a lower sticker price would you realize that they could be constructed similarly and give you an equal ride.

Roxy Women’s Lido

Surf apparel and footwear has been an evolving one throughout the years especially with women. Surfing for women in the early 1990′s was a small market to be a part of, especially since women where not yet competing and enjoying this sport yet. Through much debate, Quiksilver had decided to coin a women’s line in 1990 to build what is now an empire from its initial roots in swimwear to making its way to the footwear scene by 1995.

One of Roxy’s bestselling shoes is the Roxy Lido Cruiser. The Cruiser is an extremely soft canvas loafer which is great as a casual slip-on for various outfits. They make a great shoe for any wardrobe because they match just about everything–with small detailing like a minute logo flag, canvas lining and a logo printed and cushioned insole with a super flexible TPR injected out-sole. How could you go wrong here? This is a classic for Roxy’s surf inspired footwear which definitely makes it for anyone and not just the “surfer.”

Roxy Women's Lido Casual Slip-On Available at PeltzShoes.com

Shelbi from Mount Forest, Canada,”These shoes are super comfy. I love to wear these when I’m dressing casual.”

Mill from New York, “These shoes are wonderful. They can be dressy or casual. They are also beyond comfortable.”

Hanna from San Diego, California, “You will love these kicks. Stoked on my new cruisers .”

Willow from Garden Grove, California, “I am in love with these shoes! When I got them, I was told to not be worried about a tight fit, because they would shortly stretch to fit. They did. They fit perfectly on my feet, no hotspots, or even the callus on the back of my heel for breaking them in. They also have the two breathing-vents on the inside of both shoes, to keep your feet from getting too hot, (which is a problem found too often with normal flats.)But these shoes are wonderful, and I intend on buying more while the stores still have them in stock!”

Starting a line of footwear based on surf-inspiration is one gutsy move for a company. Quiksilver knew it didn’t have much of a line in women’s surf because it women weren’t yet stimulated to take on this sport, as mainly men had taken over this market. Knowing that the market would grow and change helped Quiksilver to coin the Roxy line of casual for the surfer or just a girl looking for a relaxed line of apparel.
