We're almost 2 months away from the big day! I've realised that when you hit the 2 month mark things get A LOT crazier and stressful. The to do lists get longer (endless actually!) and all the plans seem to go wrong. Most of our vendors seem to be going on a vacation up to the day of our wedding (ah!) and people seem to be making this wedding a lot more complicated than it is. I've come to realise that I can't plan everything...I can't dot all the I's or cross all the T's, and other people have to realise that too. We want a party, not a wedding so everything doesn't have to be just so. It's not the Royal Wedding for crying out loud! That being said, there a many people who have helped out tremendously and I wouldn't be as calm as I am without them.

A couple of weeks ago we did one of the most colourful weddings we've ever done. The bridesmaid's dresses were different shades of purple, ranging from lilac to eggplant, and the 2 maids of honour wore black. The bride really wanted the bouquets to stand out and be a tropical assortment of colours. I wasn't quite sure how the colours she chose would work but as soon as I started putting together the bouquets, I fell in love! We got in the most stunning colour of purple hydrangeas I've ever seen that really popped against the orange flowers she chose. The flowers themselves went together really well also, making perfectly-shaped bouquets. I won't keep you waiting any longer, so here's what her bouquet looked like...

The bride brought us vintage tea cups that she collected which we arranged flowers into for her centerpieces...gosh, were they ever cute!! She had a white, pink and yellow colour scheme. So enough of the chit chat, I'll just show you the lovely photos!

Happy Easter everyone, hope you all had a great weekend!

I came across a photo the other day of one of my summer brides from last year. The couple was so great and easy to deal with and I absolutely loved the way her bouquet turned out! She wanted an all white bouquet for herself and pink ones for her bridesmaids who wore navy blue dresses. Normally we try to talk brides out of doing an all white bouquet but I wasn't about to talk her out of something she really wanted (it's her wedding!). Although she was completely happy with her flowers and choices I just wanted to show everyone why we try to talk brides out of all white bouquets...

As of last Wednesday I was 4 months away from the big day *takes a deep breath*! As usual, same as when I was in school, I always leave things to the last minute. I thought with the wedding I would get things done earlier because I'm such an organised freak but no, I'm 4 months away with not much to show for it. I realised all I've been really doing is reading wedding blogs, looking at magazines, adding to the MANY saved pictures in my Wedding folder, but no real decision making or getting things done. I guess I just felt that I needed to know every little thing about weddings and every single option before making a decision. This week I realised that that is NOT TRUE!
