The recent reception at Comic Con in San Diego was simply outstanding. Thank you once again to all of our loyal supporters and new interested followers. We appreciate all the kind words and we are glad that our products are fitting into your creative pipelines and recreational time alike.

We've been listening to everything you have to say and have taken some time to work out the next steps.
New products are just around the corner but the PenGo Brushpen will continue as strong as ever - offering a great all-round solution for drawing and painting on your iPad, Galaxy Nexus, Kindle or any Android or iOS touchscreen device.

Just to recap, we did honor our San Diego Comic Con visitors with a special reduced show price. You should have received a specific email after leaving your contacts with us. Let us know if you did not.

Pressure sensitivity on the iPad with a stylus. This comes up after seeing our demo video here. Just so you know, this is still just an internal demo app showing what is possible and currently unable to be officially launched in the iTunes app store. I want to extend a big Thank You to all our supporters.
Since July this year and San Diego Comic Con there has been some fantastic interest and developments.
Behind the PenGo Creative doors, we have been hard at work putting together the finest creative tools on the planet for creators all over the world.

You may have heard lots of people claiming to be the first and making statements as such. Rest assured, that's just the nature of business and we're cool with that - because we are confident that we have the superior ideas and innovations. Many great ideas are still in the pipeline and we know that they will blow your mind! So hang on in there.

Certainly, lessons have been learnt. We are just proud to have been there at the start - back in April 2010 when we first invented and showcased the brush at Comic Con. It was such a great experience to meet you all and get the word out there. Something so new and exciting naturally travels and as they say - imitation is the greatest form of flattery (so perhaps we should extend another thank you to those guys too!).

Lot's have happened this month. The passing of the great Steve Jobs has been a very sad event indeed - but there is no doubt that Jobs has been an incredible inspiration to entrepreneurs, inventors and creators all over the world. We at PenGo Creative are deeply saddened at this news but also want to extend great thanks too. Without Steve Jobs and the incredible team at Apple, this industry would not be the rich and fertile ground it is today.

So with that, we look forward to the new crops that will grow and the harvest to come.

I'm sure you're all busy getting ready for the holidays in your own unique and wonderful ways.

It's a busy time for us too. We've been trying our best to fulfill the orders for the TouchPen and hopefully everyone has a happy face about now.

The iPad app 'PenGo Paint' is in the final beta stages and works beautifully. Here's a quick rundown of the features and benefits:

The materials we had before on the samples were a little bit below our standards - so this has created the delay that is bugging us all. However, we've got it together now - it's important after all. Samples are in production as you read this, which means end of January for final production and retail launch.

So have yourself a Merry Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa or other great reasons you have to enjoy the holidays!

Of course it's been a while -

But don't let any of this make you believe that things haven't been happening.
On the contrary, more things have been happening than expected!

For sure, the BrushPen quality has been an issue. We've been busy perfecting the brush and patenting some great ideas and features in the process.

All of this is to make sure that when it's in your hands - it's simply everything you expected.

In addition to this, we have redesigned the standard pen (that many of you are already using from our San Diego Comic Con launch).

NOW AVAILABLE- The PenGo TouchPen!

We've redesigned it, and renamed it the PenGo TouchPen. This is clearly the best pen out there for use on any touch screen device. Here are some pictures of this beauty.
I can personally guarantee that it will be better than anything you have used, or currently using now!

It has a longer barrel and a reduced tip for more control. It really is everything you need for writing, drawing and navigating with your favorite device and application.

And speaking of Apps - yes the PenGo Paint App is a gnat's whisker away from public launch. Right now we have several celebrity artists and industry professionals working away and beta testing this thing out. So far it's going well and it's supporting some great artwork. Naturally there are a few bugs but that's all the fun of the fair.

Incidentally, if you are interested in being involved and would somehow like to endorse the pre-launch beta - drop me a message and let's go from there. As I've stated before, the more friends we can make the better. For us it's all about mutual support within the community.

Progress update

The BrushPen is still on the way. All being well, it will still be August when they hit the shops.
I know you are eager to get your hands on this, so I'm doing all I can to get them ready for you.

The app is still working well. I want to integrate a few more features before it goes in the app store. In particular the brush dynamics and paint mixing. The latter is not easy but I know it would be a great thing to have - particularly when you combine this with the user experience of a BrushPen.

Keep in touch and keep letting me know what you'd like to have in your mobile art studios.

What a great event San Diego Comic Con was this year!

I want to extend a warm thank you to all the visitors, artists, creators and enthusiasts who stopped by to say hello and find out more about PenGo and the creative endeavors we're putting together for you.

If we had chance to speak on the stand, you'll remember I mentioned that we really want to work with the community - to make a useful and inspiring set of creative tools that you can use as part of your pipeline - or simply add some compelling new ways of working.

We're not a big corporation and certainly don't have a budget like the big guys - so for us to get the word out means a totally different mindset - and we are quite excited about this.

You see, for us to get the word out really involves you; the people who ultimately we are doing this for!

I started this PenGo venture initially from a necessity to fulfill a need I personally had. I'm glad that I'm not the only one and that what I'm doing can help and assist others. I'm genuinely glad that there could be a fun and compelling business here too.

So it's the community who we want to work with. Now that means you, interested individuals, gifted professionals and industry experts. Everyone has a voice and we are all ears.

That's why the release of the PenGo app will be free. Essentially, releasing it free creates a community driven beta program. How exciting and challenging!?

I know that if we listen to your ideas, suggestions and inputs - as indicated by those we already heard during Comic Con - we will have an awesome app. Something we can all be proud of.

While that's all kicking off nicely - we're going to promote and develop the physical tools to interact with these apps. The first release of course is the eagerly anticipated BrushPen.

I can't tell you how many faces lit up when I showed people the concepts. Everyone had this expression of "Oh wow - really?!"

Well, I don't want to let you down on this - so we're working hard to get things up to your evidently worthy demands.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate to mention names (without asking first) but we had some seriously great industry artists and professionals all excited and looking forward to being involved in both the app and the BrushPen.

The atmosphere on the stand was positively buzzing with great feedback and the desire to be "involved in some way".

So without turning this short blog into an epic, I'd like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for coming by.

Also, a massive thanks to Todd Jones and Dan Winger for giving their time and effort to support this premiere Comic Con PenGo launch - I really appreciate it and don't think it would have been half the hit without your help. Cheers guys.

It's almost here.

San Diego Comic Con 2010 will be the launch pad for PenGo Creative Tools!

I'm excited to be heading down to San Diego once again to join all the fun and energy this event creates. It never ceases to amaze me how much momentum Comic Con can gather. Equally amazing are the awesome projects, products and ideas people have on show. I for one know just how hard it is to get things arranged and brought together for this monster event. So I take my hat off to any other fellow exhibitors!

But where would any of this be without the incredibly supportive and enthusiastic attendees and fans? It's this formidable fan base that makes this event exactly what it is today - and the reason why so many of us are will to work so hard to come and meet you. We truly value your support and interest.

So it is with this premiere blog, that I am opening the pages of a new chapter of a new book: The launch of PenGo Creative Tools.

Since acquiring an iPad in April, I have been positively buzzing with ideas about how best to use this innovative platform for my own creative endeavors. Naturally due to it's large screen format, the visual side of creativity came to mind and the idea of a simple sketching app was born.

From that idea to today has been approximately 2 months. Since that inception of an idea, I have worked hard and tried as best I can, to get something ready for Comic Con. That something is the PenGo Paint app for iPad.

It's my first offering to the world of mobile creative tools. I think this area is going to expand dramatically. I am like many other artists and creators who generally like to get out of the studio and spend some time out-and-about. It's during these times of course, you need your trusty sketch/notepad with you. Today, of course it's all about connected productivity - and what kind of creator wants to be out of touch (well at least sometimes)?

We're going to see many more manufacturers launch their comparable devices and platforms to rival iPad, so the mobile pad movement is well underway.

This is why I felt it important to be here at the start. It's a modest offering for now, but I want to create something relevant and popular with the many people who will be adopting this mobile movement into their lifestyles.

I created PenGo to be simple and intuitive. Ambitions can race ahead early in development, but I'm keeping a firm hold on the reins. I want to perfect the basics first.

The initial launch of PenGo will be free as I really want to attract as many people as possible to be users. I value greatly the feedback and comments from users in the attempt to make this the best mobile creative app on the market.

But not only this, in this short space of time I am currently developing a new kind of brushpen for use on the iPad and mobile painting applications!

I'm really thrilled to be developing this. Again the concept was born from necessity as I simply couldn't find a good pen stylus for use on the iPad. This struck me not only as a disappointment but also as a great opportunity.

Initially, I began creating a range of prototype pens using all kinds of materials (from conductive foam, rubber and bristles). The aim at this stage was simply to get something to work for me.

I spoke with some close contacts regarding the development of an iPad stylus and the idea of offering this to a wider group began to grow.

But I don't particularly like the word "stylus". Unfortunately it reminds me of the awkward pin-like nasty hard bits of plastic that would slide out of your mobile device (I'm thinking back to my days with the Palm Pilot, Compaq iPaq and even Apple's own Newton!).

These styli were fine for that kind of device but I think iPad is very different. Particularly since the screen technology is so different. Touching the screen allows us to literally connect with our applications much more intuitively than ever before and I love this.

So what I'm offering here is not a stylus. I think "BrushPen" has a better association with it's intended use. It's a creative tool.

After finger-painting for a while with the iPad I know it's time that there was a better solution for mobile creators - and I think this is it. The BrushPen from PenGo Creative Tools.
