Jakes bragged about his stable of luxury cars. His materialism resembles that of other prosperity preachers like Fred Price, who flies from coast to coast in his Lear jet, and I.V. Hillard, who wears full-length fur coats, an expensive diamond ring, and flies in his private helicopter to avoid traffic while traveling to the churches he pastors in north and southwest Houston. Prosperity preachers flaunt tremendous wealth before their congregants as validation of their faith.
Pastor Joel Osteen owns the largest Pentecostal Church in the U.S.A, with some 30,000 people attending Lake Wood Community Church in Houston. Osteen (the smiling preacher) has a reason to smile. He has taken the congregation started by his father and turned it into the largest Church in the US. And he has (as he is quick to tell us) an elegant home, well adjust kids and an adoring ministry9

Osteen like other Pentecostal pastors have no problems with money, they can get as much as they want from their followers even though it means to threaten with them death.

Many of these pastors own personal jets, have fenced houses, drive the latest cars and have billions on their accounts. One Pastor, (Kiwewesi) made a wedding which cost his followers 362 million Uganda shillings. I am sure no apostle would be so extravagant to that extent considering that many street children and orphans go hungry for days.

Pastor Hinn turned in his Mercedes for a Jaguar and moved from the exclusive Heathrow development to the even more exclusive Alaqua in a $685,000 home. His suits are tailored, his shoes are Italian leather, and his wrists and finger glitter with gold and diamonds. He wears his diamond Rolex, diamond rings, gold bracelet and custom suits for all to see. He forced his followers to donate to him money (which God will return many times fold) in order to buy a new jet worth $36 millions which he later bought.

Pastor Jackson Senyonga from the poor country of Uganda owns a Television Station and a number of radio stations, an NGO, plus a multi hundred seater church which all combined generate millions of shillings in a single day, Do not be deceived, though these income generating activities are as a result of peoples offering and tithe, the proceeds are not for the members but for a few.

Pastor Chis Oyakhilome’s weekly services are said to draw an average of 30,000 faithful, more than some European soccer teams draw for their games. At every crusade, seats are booked in advance. He owns hundreds of churches in many countries which generate great revenue. He also owns the Love world television ministry, Global distributors network, Love world cyber ministry, and the entire Christ embassy Missions plus a publishing house. It is also important to note that he is one of richest African Pastors.

Bishop David Oyedepo is the founder of Living Faith Ministries a.k.a. Winners' Chapel based in Nigeria with a capacity of 50,000 worshippers and features a 5,000-strong choir. In Lagos, members are given free bus rides to the church. He owns prestigious primary schools, secondary schools, and a university with three different colleges which charge high fees. He also owns a powerful publishing house, Gilead medical centers, a garage of state-of-the-art cars, had a private jet and make fortunes through the sale of gift certificates

If i present the wealth of Reverend (Dr.) Enoch Adejare Adeboye, space for this book will be too big. The man has a vast empire from Africa to other contents with more 200 parishes in the USA. His riches are so vast that we will not able to present them in this book, other wise we will be limited by resources.

Edir Macedo is the founder of Brazilian based Universal Church of the Kingdom Church, only in Brazil alone the church has more than 2000 branches with each branch collecting millions dollars per month. However that is only Brazil, the church has braches in more 45 other countries. Even in my country of Uganda, this church is moving to close to half a dozen branches. Edir Macedo church has its own bank (Banco Credito Metropolitano), 14 Television stations, 40 radio stations, daily and weekly newspapers; a bank and shares in an offshore Cayman Islands company called Investholding Ltd.; a travel company; a construction firm to build and adapt churches and even a furniture company to supply pews. Wow!

There is little time to talk about other Pentecostal pastors who have become exceedingly rich while their followers become poorer, Men like Paul Crouch, John Hagee, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, Howard Brown, Rehrnd Bonker, Rod Parsley, Robert Kayanja, Imelda Namutebi, Benson Idahosa, Serwadda, and a host of many others who no longer have any problems with money what so ever. They have really collected amazing wealth not for church but for them selves. This is so because though those pastors can afford staying in luxurious hotels, many of there followers battle so hard to meet their rent.

There is no doubt at all that those who gain from the wealth and health gospel are the pastors while many of their followers live in poverty. Pentecostal prosperity preachers continue to live like CEOs of cooperate companies while encouraging their members to confess and possess the same financial prosperity.

In real life, many Pentecostals are living on promises; they have big money problems but convinced by their pastors that they are rich and they have been to believe that sowing the seed is there major duty. It’s just probable that some people in a group of many can get rich in the Church (some because they are hard working, educated, inherited richness…) It is these few who are used to give testimonies which are so misleading to others.

In today’s world, people plant churches after failing to secure jobs. They decide to start churches so as to get money for survival. These churches now flourishing with members who never know that their pastor’s main aim of starting the church was to get money. However, this is not only in Uganda, all over the world, people are starting churches for money reasons. The followers are however deceived that it was a calling from God. One many man once said that “the

Gone is the understanding that we must be cross-bearers. The church now seeks adulation and quickly becomes a seed bed for pride, greed and power all under the guise of spiritual growth
This gospel contradicts with a lot of Bible texts because it’s earthly focused. (Col 3:1-2, Rom 12:2). The Bible is very clear that we should look forward to the coming kingdom and not focus our attention on earthly riches.

Its not that I hate wealth, I can gladly accept it if God gives it to me but wealth is simply not part of the gospel or even not part of what Christians should preach, because its not biblical to do so. In fact, according to Jesus, praying for the daily bread is commended rather than vast riches.

How Pentecostal pastors maximize wealth through fake gospel

Most of you have had about the four gospel accounts, But that is not all, there is new gospel- the gospel according to the almighty dollar. It is the most common gospel in the world today and it is the gospel many people want to hear these days.

The gospel according to the almighty dollar has been referred to by different names; some have called it the gospel according to modern day preachers, the gospel according to the stomach, the gospel according to what you want, the gospel according to bodily desires and the gospel according to what you confess. No matter the name, this gospel centers on the worldly things like prosperity, money, favours, and health.
It is increasing becoming difficult for people to shield them selves from the attractive teachings that suggest believers can control their financial destiny. The pastors who preach this gospel have a wide reach through mass media and given the fact that many people have financial constraints, the spirit of worldliness will drive them toward this gospel. This gospel is sweet but its fruits are less than desired.
The prosperity movement introduced a new culture of sowing which convinces Christians to view their financial support to the church as investment opportunities to "sow" their way out of debt to receive God's bountiful blessings. Under such an ideology, preachers train their members to applaud when it is time to collect offerings because God "loves a cheerful giver.” It is true God loves a cheering giver but the bible never says that God loves a cheerful giver who gives while expecting something in return as Pentecostal pastors stress it.
Prosperity theology emphasizes that God will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing to the faithful Christian who consistently gives money to his local church. This pervasive ideology helps word churches secure more resources while allowing pastors to enjoy large salaries and unprecedented wealth
This gospel is a darling of Satan, It was handled down to the Pentecostals through Kenneth Hagin by Kenyon from the Gnostics. There a few things in the world which make people forget about heaven than this gospel and that make it so dangerous to a Christian. This is why Satan loves it so much, he is very aware that when people focus their minds on happiness and prosperity here and now, they will definitely be within his control.

While preaching this gospel on trinity broadcasting network, Pastor Price said
“It’s a matter of your faith, you got one dollar faith, and you ask for a ten thousand dollar item. It ain’t gonna work, Jesus said “according to your faith” not “according to his will” if you want a bicycle, you are gonna get it1

According to this wealth and health gospel God always wills the financial prosperity of every Christian, therefore, for a believer to live in poverty is living outside God’s intended will. The first short coming of such a gospel is that it is not biblical; however, we very well know that Satan twisted the scriptures to lie to Jesus in the desert, in the same way his followers are also doing the same in order to fit their “gospel” into the scriptures.

Pastors move every where using words like “you can have what you say”, “the reason you have not been healed is that you don’t have enough faith”, “we can write our ticket with God if we decide what we want,” “ believe that it is yours and confess it” “God wants you to be rich and healthy”. Such words seem sweet and nice to hear but no matter how much one tries to cloth the wealth gospel in biblical cover, it is simply not biblical. It is a gospel which centers on the self rather that on God

The gospel type

In these days, it is very common to find some one saying “God is blessing your business right now, He is making you fertile so that you may produce, and He is directing favour to you, Put your hand on the TV set or touch where you are filling pain, God is working, He is solving all your employment problems, I can see He is preparing a partner for you”

I am not saying it is bad to get a partner, or a promotion or a good job, Its just that, all those things are not part of the gospel. They are not supposed to be over emphasized since none of them contain salvation. They point to the world while salvation point to heaven. This a satanic snare to make people so taken up with what is in store for them in this world while forgetting the second coming of Jesus.

The Pentecostal gospel presents a theology of distorted vision of God and the Christian life. God is the supplier of financial prosperity, health, and victory when the believer uses their faith. Pentecostals holds the concept that God's children should "eat the best, drive the best, and wear the best." little emphasis on suffering of Christ, the cross, self-denial.

The Pentecostal pastors give messages in their churches over different members that God is going to make them millionaires, make them super anointed, give them a world wide ministry, or give them great fame! As a result the members
are hooked on their wonderful pastor who prophecy good things even though over the years none of the prophesies ever come to fruition.

This type of gospel can not be true because it is not universal; it is so discriminative and selective. A pastor can spend a whole sermon telling his followers how God is going to make them rich thus excluding those who are already rich for the all of the sermon. It can not be true since it can not be applicable to all Christians irrespective of their class, education, and social context. It is so un fair to tell congregants that they all of them will be like Bill Gates if they continue to sow their financial seed.

People come up the front and give testimonies of how they bought plots, or got the visas. These convince others that God’s plan for them is prosperity too. Words like “you will be fulfilled and given in abundance” are common in this gospel. It is also important to note that many who once deceived others of what God has done for them have come up to repent after they left Pentecostalism.

God is seen as a no-lose lottery in the sky, a cosmic money machine in which you put in a coin and wait for millions while your “casino buddies” (in this case your fellow Christians) whoop and holler (or shout “Amen” ) and wait for their turn in line. In this sort of system, God’s reason for existing is to give what we want, if we had no needs, God would probably just disappear after all.

This gospel, when approached from the prosperity posture, prayer degenerates into coercions, where in “name it and claim it”, believers become devoted to forcing God until he agrees to do what they want. This gospel also attempt to arm twist the Almighty into increasing comforts and underwriting life styles. It is a gospel of selfishness by selfish beings.

“Faith” becomes a crowbar to break down the door of God’s reluctance, rather than a humble attempt to lay hold of his willingness. God is treated as an object, a tool, and a means to an end. God’s blessing on financial giving is turned into money – back guaranteed whereby he is obligated to do precisely whatever we want him to do. Many have developed that phrase “confess and posses” They forget that confess has its roots in the word repent (not claim), which is a total misuse of the word.

For you to understand clearly the nature of this new gospel, let me present some quotation from major Pentecostals pastors who preach there gospel from the prosperity point of view.

A famous Pentecostal pastor, Charles Fill More, of the Unity School of Christianity had his re-edition of psalms 23 as below;

“The lord is my banker; my credit is good. He makes me lie in the consciousness of omni present abundance; he giveth me the key to his strong box (treasury), he restoreth my faith in his riches; he guideth me in the path of prosperity for his name sake. Yea, though I walk in the very shadow of debt, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me, He prepares a way in the presence of the collector, He fills my wallet with plenty, my measure runneth over, surely goodness and plenty will fall me all the days of my life, and I shall do business in the name of the lord”3

Every thing in the passage above has to do with the believer’s happiness, prosperity and good health. Is that the same message which Apostle Paul preached? Did Jesus preach money? Though the answers may be no, It seems like Fill more had never read that Paul and Timothy got sick at some time and they many times suffered at the hands of poverty.

Pastor Creflo Dollar also used Psalms 23 to preach his prosperity and health gospel, he said;

“Some thing good is gonna happen to you, your cup is going to flow over in the coming year, the unemployed, unmarried – something good is going to happen to you. God is going to lay down a table in your front”4

It is the same story with pastors from poor countries, In his sermon entitled, “you are the next in line” Pastor Robert Kayanja, probably most known for his many unfulfilled prophesies had this to preach;

“The new season has come, in fact you are the new season, the force of God is going to visit you and throw you into the center where everything happens. You are the next in line”5

Anita Oyakhilome wrote in the Rhapsody of Realities, November 2008 that “you have to understand the evil, hardships, and harsh economic conditions in the world are not set against you… In the midst of recession, economic downturn, inflation and disaster, God has ordained your promotion and promotion. He has already planned that you’ll be a success irrespective of what going on in the world around you” Such statements cast a big stone of doubt whether such pastors are aware that the Bible talks about poor Christians. What do they have to say about the majority poor in churches?

It is not surprising that during the Pentecostal worship services, pastors speak while breaking in their words; the “believers” shout “Amen” and “Hallelujah” in all the breaks. They are totally taken up by the promises of the riches to come. Little do they know that they are listening to the gospel according to the almighty dollar.

Take the example below of a prayer by Bishop T.D Jakes; it is a typical example of the gospel according to happiness. It was entitled “ My prayer for you today”.

“You will find favour with someone you don't expect ...Amen.
You will be too relevant to be ignored...Amen.
You will encounter GOD and will never remain the same ...Amen.
The grace for completion will come on you, you shall be blessed till the blessed call you blessed ...Amen.
The mouth saying ''Amen'' to this prayer shall laugh forever ...Amen.
Very very soon and I say very very very soon, GOD is going to do a miracle and lift u up for GOOD.”

The prayer above contains some good to hear words which every person would like to be fulfilled in his or her life. This is why many people cross over to the pastors who use such words in their worship services and the pastors who preach about the true salvation fight to get followers. Remember the bibles says “In the last days…people will gather for themselves preachers who speak what they want to hear” It is by no surprise that such a prayer became so popular in the Christian circles, no wonder the prayer circulated so far fast through mail.

These preachers are not afraid to relate God’s Holy anointing with materialism, popularity and prosperity, they claim that if you have a new Prado you are ‘anointed’ and ‘blessed’ therefore they preach to everyone giving them envelopes that there blessings are nigh.

This spirit of dominionism and materialism does not see Jesus Christ as Lord but as means to material objectives and healing, the gospel is twisted to a materialistic view as to control the minds of many of those who are badly in need of financial gains. There is no longer any doubt about what you are reading, you just need to tune on your radio or television set to discover how the gospel is no longer in regard to the cross but to material gains

The Bible does not have kind words for people who use religion a way of getting rich, it says “…evils suspicions and constant arguments from people whose minds do not function and who no longer have the truth. They think that religion is away to become rich.” Timothy 6:5. Such people existed even in days of Paul and the apostle had to call them ‘people whose minds do not function’ which shows how dangerous that kind of gospel can be to a Christian.

In Uganda, many major Pentecostal celebrations are held; one of this is the National Celebration. In these events Pastors collects millions and millions of shillings through offering from the poor followers. However before the events, many people are used to give testimonies on radios and television so as to induce others to attend. These testimonies are most of the time materialistic; words like ‘when I attended I bought a plot and got obtained a visa’ are common. Others give testimonies about their supposed change of health. It is just absurd that little about the cross or the second coming is mentioned in these testimonies.
Then the materialistic teaching of sowing the seed, this teaching is one of the major reasons why Pentecostals churches are always full with members. Followers are drip-fed on these teachings. This requires followers to give part of their earnings to the church in offerings and tithes in turn for the promised blessings.

The expected dividends on these are divine blessings. With a church full of young company executives and businessmen, every service guarantees enormous revenue expecting God to turn on his tap of blessings. Others give cars, generators, musical equipment and chairs to the church. Returning to God is not bad but if it is done while expecting blessing then it turns out to be a sin.
However the biblical gospel is plain and clear, it stresses the death of Christ for our salvation and our need to follow and accept Christ, and it’s never about money and health. The gospel of wealth and health not scriptural, It has its roots in Satanism.

The bible condemns Pentecostal strange tongues

Some people claim that the bible talks about tongues which can not be understood in order to support their gibberish tongues; there first stop point is the book of First Corinthians chapter 14. They claim that the ecstatic utterances and the mysterious sounds are not known to anyone except to the speaker and God. However the evidence in First Corinthians implies the opposite especially if you consider the fact that the gift provided edification (v. 4) and instruction (v. 19) which mere utterances can not do.

The case of First Corinthians is a typical example of speaking an existing language in a church which does not understand that language for example speaking French in a congregation of Chinese but not demonic un understood utterances as some may suggest.

What Pentecostals don’t know about first Corinthians tongues
Corinth was greatly influenced by Greek paganism which included demonstrations, frenzies and orgies all intricately interwoven into their religious practices. In post Homeric times the cult of the Dionysiac orgies made their entrance into the Greek world. According to this, music, the whirling dance, intoxication and utterances had the power to make men divine; to produce a condition in which the normal state was left behind and the inspired person perceived what was external to himself and the senses5
In other words, the soul was supposed to leave the body, hence the word ecstasy (ek stasis). They believed that while the being was absent from the body, the soul was united with the deity. At such times, the ecstatic person had no consciousness of his own.
The Corinthians of Paul’s time were living under the influence of Dionysiac religious customs. It was natural that they would find certain similarities more familiar and appealing. Thus the Corinthians began to put more stress on certain gifts like glossolalia.6

Due to the influence of this cult, the Christians in First Corinthians greatly misused the gift of tongues; many began shouting in their mother languages which many of the congregants did not understand. This was done in disguise of being absent from the body while being united to the divine as Dionysiacism had taught them. Paul got so concerned and he gave guidelines to the Corinthians to regulate the speaking of foreign tongues which included the following;

Paul informed the Corinthians that the gift of tongues was only a sign for the un believers (v.22) That is one of the simplest verses in the Bible to understand, however, though the verse is so clear, many people who profess to speak in tongues have continuously and stubbornly gone against it. Pentecostals have always used tongues as signs for the believers which puts them out of the biblical line.

Paul looked a situation of people who spoke their mother languages which many people in Corinth did not understand and he related the situation to that of mad people (v.23). It does not give meaning for people to stand up in church and every body speaks in his or her own language. That according to Paul seemed like madness.

It goes by no surprise that the prayer sessions in the Pentecostal Church are some of the most chaotic scenes human kind will ever see, with everyone shouting on his own and bubbling un understood words, in this case order becomes history and emotionalism and actacy take over.

Paul really got concerned about this matter, He told the Corinthians that if they wanted to use foreign tongues two or at most three of these tongues should be used during worship (v. 27). This was done to prevent chaos in the place of worship. However if you visit a Pentecostal church, you will see the exact opposite of the Biblical regulation. Every one normally strives to speak in the so called tongues and this is where the biblical verse of Romans 10:2 is fulfilled.

“For I bear them witness that they have the zeal for God, but not according to knowledge”

With so much zeal, these people shout in languages they don’t even understand not knowing that they are praying in vain. They in fact pray to their god deity, there prayers can be heard but not from the God of heaven. The Pentecostal tongues were cleverly coined at Azusa street as a way of medium which would be used to worship the fallen angel without any one realizing it.

Paul further stressed to the Corinthians that if any one speaks in tongues which are not understood to others, then there must be an interpreter. In other words, if someone is to speak English (a known language) in a French congregation, there must be someone to interpret (v.27). Though Pentecostals tongues are totally different from the Biblical tongues, it’s greater shame that they even lack interpreters. In fact, the Bible says “if there is no interpreter, the one who wish to speak in tongues should be silent (v.28) and speak to himself and to his God (in silence)”

To restore more order in worship, Paul commanded the Corinthians that not more than one person can speak at the same time (v.30). However this is a daily activity when ever Pentecostals are worshipping. One should speak and keep quite for another to begin. It should not be done in a chaos and state of confusion as it is always done in Pentecostalism

We should note that Paul stressed out that those who wish to speak or pray in tongue should be able to understand what they are praying.

“What is the conclusion then? I will pray with spirit and I will also pray with understanding …” (v.15)

He went further to ask what happens if a choir leader made a song in a language which other choir members do not know. This implies worshipping in a language well known. In case where it was only the speaker who knew the language and there was no interpreter, the speaker of that language say English, should keep quite and speak to God.

In fact when Paul was talking about people who have little knowledge about the gift of tongues and how it is used, he said;

“Brethrens, do not be children in understanding; however in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature” (v. 20)

He reminded the Corinthians that God is not a God of confusion (in worship) but of peace, as in all churches of the saints (v.33). Pentecostals can not assure us that God gave them permission to be chaotic in worship. It is important to note from here that, there is no church of the true God where people worship in confusion, and if a church worships in confusion, it is absolutely clear that the spirit present is not holy.

At this moment you should be able to recall the points the Bible has mentioned so far about the true tongues, let’s go through them again;

1. The gift follows believers – No one should seek it Mk 16:17
2. The gift is used to preach to unbelievers – not believers. I Cor 14:22
3. Every one must hear in own language. Acts 2:6,8
4. The tongues spoken are known languages – Acts 2:11
5. They should be from the holy spirit- Acts 2:4
6. The person praying must understand his prayer.- I Cor 14:15
7. Two or at most three should use tongues in a church worship – not all.- 27
8. There should be an interpreter.-I Cor 14:27-32
9. If there is no interpreter, keep quite.- I Cor 14:28
10. One person should speak at a time. I Cor 14:30
11. Those who don’t understand the points above are immature. I Cor 14:20

Why Pentecostal strange tongues are satanic

And Jesus said… “…Do not babble as the pagans do” Matthew 6:5,7
Considerable evidence has been brought to light which affirm the fact that a number of Pentecostal pastors use the speaking of gibberish un known tongues to invite Satan in their services whose power they use throughout the service, while deceiving their followers that it is the power of God.

Speaking in tongues is one of the most dangerous snares Satan is using today, Satan through the tongue speaker can easily carry out his activities among the worshippers without any one noticing since they do not under stand the message being passed on. For the many times I have come into contact with the un understood strange tongue speakers, it has always been clear that their was a demonic presence.

Tongues through the ages

From the days of Apostles to the beginning of the 20th century, speaking in “un known tongues” was only an activity of the pagans, the demonically possessed and the devilish fraternities. This probably prevented Christians from adopting the practice for fear of being mistaken for a witch.

Un known tongues have been practiced throughout the ages and they are not new to man kind, the practice has always been an important part and symbol among paganism, shamanism, mediumistic religions, Hindu Gurus, Fikirs and recently Pentecostals. The usage of tongues is there fore a major sign of membership in many pagan religions.
Strange tongues were exhibited by the renowned ancient Oracle of Delphi, whereby a priestess of the god Apollo (called the Pythia) spoke in unintelligible utterances, supposedly through the spirit of Apollo in her.
In fact, when Pastor Benny Hinn’s words were reversed by a voice expert, It was discovered that in some of his services he referred to the coming of Satan to give him powers1.

Demonism in Christian clothes

In my search for the truth I learned that speaking in tongues is a mark of demon possession. I have witnessed many Pentecostals and Satanists speaking in gibberish tongues and I have failed to draw a line of difference between the two.
What's happening today seems a bit suspicious. People are demonically babbling with nobody to translate it. That babbling is exactly the same thing that pagans have always done. Thought history what is now called speaking in tongues was a clear sign of demonic possession It used to be that people that spoke in tongues were considered to be possessed by demons, but now, people that speak in tongues usually think everyone else is possessed demons. Satan has put on the Christian clothes to discourage people who are having the true gospel.
Tongues in the occult religions

When you visit a shrine, the lead witchdoctor invokes the spirit to come down and within a few seconds the spirit comes, suddenly the lead witch doctor and some others in the shrine begin to speak some strange tongues which can not be understood by listeners.

It is the same story with the magicians; they speak unknown tongues to make things happen. All other satanic religions and cults like the Kundalini, Subud, Qigong, Shakers and the Universal Church of Satan speak in the same way during worship. It is said that when the spirit descend to them, they are given the ability to speak in such way.

Inside the Pentecostal movement, speaking in tongues is an important pillar. I had been told (during my stay in the Pentecostal movement) that I needed to speak in tongues to evidence the Holy Spirit within me. It is always common to see worshipers jumping up and down, moving from one place to another and shouting high in words the listener can never understand especially during the prayer session.

The arising problem is getting the difference between the strange tongues spoken by the well known satanic movements, the Pentecostals and those in the Bible.

Discerning the tongues

A joint statement by the foundation trust and the Evangelical council admitted “we are also aware that a similar phenomenon can occur under occult/demonic influence”2, according to the council, ‘similar phenomena of tongues’ occur within the Pentecostal movement and satanic organizations. I am however one of those of people who believe that biblical tongues have never been similar to the satanic tongues.

In the book, Religious movements in contemporary America, it is reported that in Haiti, speaking in tongues is a characteristic of both the Pentecostal and Voodoo religions3 There is no difference between the tongues spoken in Voodoo religion and Pentecostalism . Voodoo is a satanic religion which traces its origin in Africa. It goes by no surprise that the type strange tongues used by the voodoo and many other satanic religions have no differences at all.

Many Pentecostal have been lied to that speaking in tongues is the main evidence of being spirit filled. However, if this is the case then John the Baptist had a different spirit from that of the Pentecostals, He did not speak in tongues, raise the dead, or lay hands on people or even heal the sick, yet we are told in scripture that he was filled with the Holy Spirit even in his mother’s womb.

“… and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mothers womb (Luke 1:15)

Since every one should agree with me that John was sent by God, this makes the kind of spirit in the Pentecostal movement far different from the Holy spirit of the Bible or the Pentecostal pastors are lying to their followers about the roles of the Holy spirit.

Dr Kurt reports a tongue speaking Pentecostal woman whom she knew through a missionary, he had pointed out to her that there are often spirits hiding behind the gift of tongues, when she started to pray in tongues, the missionary also prayed for her since he had sensed the presence of an un holy spirit, The spirit which was making the lady speak in strange tongues then confessed to come from the church which it later revealed to be the church of Satan.4

Tongue in the Bible

Those who sincerely believe in “speaking in tongues” believe that tongues are necessary for an individual to be completely saved to the “uttermost”, so let us see what tongues in the Bible really meant and later we will see what they mean in Satanism.

Since the Bible is the only word of God, we are going to carefully search it with an open and prayerful mind to discover for ourselves the “gift of speaking in tongues”

Jesus Christ is the origin of the word “new tongues” In Mark 16:17, he promised that the gift of speaking in tongues will follow the believers

“…and these signs will follow those who believe, in my name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues”. (Note that Jesus did not talk about “un known tongues” but new tongues)

One important thing to note from this verse is that the gift was to follow the believers. This means that praying for it, waiting for it and wishing for it is not Godly. It’s unfortunate that today the “so called believers” seek the gift instead of the gift seeking them.

It is also important to note the reason why the gift was given, In verse 15, Christ had ordered the disciples to go and preach to all the nations, since these people where Hebrews, they greatly needed this gift in order to preach to the non Jews whose languages they never knew.

The first record of usage of tongues is found in the book of Acts chapter 2, it all began in verse four when Holy Spirit enabled the disciple to speak in tongues.

“And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance”

We should carefully note two very important points hear, first it was the Holy Spirit which filled them not the evil spirit, secondly, the believers spoke in other tongues and not unknown tongues.

There were very many people from different regions and languages at the time when Peter preached and all heard him in their native languages ( Verses 6 and 8) In fact, Verses 9-11 mention a long list of tribes, nations and different languages which were represented and each heard in there mother language.

In short terms, Peter spoke in one language which verse 7 suggests to be Hebrews with all the people present hearing him speak in their own language.

If you can remember, Jesus said in Mark 16:17 that the gift was to follow the believers, we see here in Acts that the believers were just followed by the gift; they didn’t pray or cry for it. You can also remember that this gift was given to preach to unbelievers which also came to a fulfillment here.

We should ask ourselves whether people who speak in the so called tongues have the following characteristics which are the only biblical characteristics which can be used to identify the true tongues;-

1. The gift follows them, they do not seek it.
2. They use the gift to preach to unbelievers
3. As they speak, the people around hear them in their own languages.
4. The tongues spoken are known.
5. Filled with the holy spirit not the evil spirit

If those characteristics are not met, then the tongues spoken are not from God. Therefore the witchdoctors, the Kundalini, Subud, Qigong, magicians, church of Satan, the Pentecostals and others may not be filled with the Holy Spirit but the evil spirit.

The sad truth about Pentecostal miracles

Few men have authority over Pentecostalism and its doctrines than Du Plessis, a man also known as Mr Pentecostals and author of the Pentecostal dictionary, Du Plessis, a former Pentecostal world wide leader in his letter to another Pentecostal guru Donald Gee referred to miracles as “a racket to correct dollars”1. In another of his letters, he referred to American pastors emphasis on miracles as a healing cult to which Donald Gee summarised as “the lust for miracle2

These Pentecostals historicals had sensed a real problem which many Pentecostals do not want to accept. Due to the great lust for miracles today, people have piled to them selves preachers who speak what their itching ears want to hear. Little have they realized that they have in the process been trapped to intense demonism and Satanism in places where counterfeit miracles are being performed in the name of Jesus.

In the world today, there are majorly five types of healing; these include medical healing, divine healing, satanic healing, psychosomatic healing and hypnotism. The last three are concurrently used in Pentecostalism and an expose have been made in this book. However, there is also what is known as “faked healing” This is the most common in the Pentecostal movement. Under this method, nothing happens but people are made to believe that a miracle has taken place.

Following miracles

People of these days have turned their faith from God to faith in miracles. They go to church not to worship but to see or receive a miracle though many miracles performed in such churches do not conform to the biblical standards.

I grew up hearing people talking about miracles, in both the satanic and Godly circles, it is pretty common to hear some one talking about miracles. All satanic movements in the world attract followers by promising them worldliness, this is what Sai Baba does, the universal church of Satan and the witchdoctors themselves promise prosperity in this world and say little about the coming world and the word miracle is the crowd pulling bait.

In my home town of Wobulenzi, there are more than eight Pentecostal churches which have organized many crusades and the crowd pulling word is “come for a miracle”. They say “the blind will see, the deaf will hear, the lame will walk and those with diseases will get healed” It is just surprising that no genuinely blind or genuinely lame person has ever been healed in the town though people have been told so.

It is not biblical to seek or follow miracles, According to Jesus Christ, miracles “…will follow those who believe” Mark 16:17. It therefore becomes anti Christ and satanic to encourage people to follow miracles, for instance, telling people to go to a church for a miracle leads them to follow the miracles which is in direct contrast to the words of Jesus Christ.

Pentecostals do not perform miracles

A miracle is some thing which happens out of the ordinary, or outside the natural laws. I believe that God can make miracles, for surely He has performed a lot of miracles in my life. I have also read that He divided the waters of the red sea, He made water to come out of a rock, He turned a rod into a snake, He let the prisons loose, He walked on the water and He made the sun stand still. I also believe that Satan has the powers to perform miracles to a certain degree. Since Pentecostal “miracles” do not confirm to the biblical standards, then they must be from a different deity who however has limited miracle powers.

As I mentioned the beginning of this chapter, there are different kinds of healing in the world today; psychosomatic healing, direct Satanism, and hypnosis are some of the ways which can be used to heal. You should remember that there is a big difference between healing and a miracle. Pastors who use such methods can mainly heal but most of their miracles are counterfeits and never true. However, they also have a limit on the healings they perform. Do not be fooled, those men can not cure incurable diseases, they just claim but the little is real.

It is unfortunate that Pentecostals have been made to believe that natural things can be called miracles. I watched a young woman on TV telling people that God had performed a miracle in her life because she had bought a new dress. God helping us to acquire some thing does not mean performing miracle for us.

I however can not deny the words of the savior who said that “… false Christ’s and false prophets will rise, and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect …”. Mark 24:24-25. The men Jesus talked about are those who work and perform counterfeit miracle in his name yet they are Satanists. There fore I strongly believe that limited miracles can be performed by Satan but not as much as it is claimed.

Christ even told the disciples that many will say to him (on judgment day) that they performed many miracles in his name, cast out demons and preached on the streets but He will reply ‘I never knew you’ (Mathew 7:22-23). Jesus looking down through the years saw that Satan would attack the people of God in various ways, but using counterfeit miracles as a major tool.

A young woman told me that, the reason she joined the Pentecostal movement is because the pastor told her all her problems before she told them to him. She had forgotten that many witchdoctors can also do the same. There is a Satan influenced girl in the Bible (Acts 16:16-18) who could do just the same thing. There are many pastors in my country who have adopted this act of telling people about their past and expected future, this is however a very old satanic act long employed by soothsayers. Many satanic people use this method of telling people about their past and it has suddenly expanded into the Pentecostal circles.

Even in the world today, different magicians make a lot of things which are surprising, they seem to create big things out of seemingly small things and yet no one can come out to say that they perform miracles from God. In fact every one knows that these people are satanic, therefore, performing a miracle whether genuine or fake does not make a person God sent.

Do the lame really walk?

Many of course come up the front during Pentecostal worship services, the pastor or the aide to the pastor introduce them as lame people and suddenly claim to walk again. Many of these people come from distant places which makes some to believe that they are devil agents, they do not leave their addresses behind and the church never keeps records. Many genuinely lame people are left sitting on their chairs as the un known claim healing.

All Pentecostals know very well that they have lame people in their churches but they have never asked themselves why these people are not getting healed. Those who claim to be healed are not local church members, but the people who come from places seemingly un known to those in attendance.

I know of a church in Kampala where the pastor is a well known miracle worker, He claims to perform all the miracles which people would want, it’s just surprising that the usher to his church is a genuinely lame person. In fact, I had a genuinely lame neighbour who moved to many Pentecostal churches seeking for healing but all in vain. At one crusade he was refused to go in front because his miracle was not going to happen that day, in another church, the pastor prayed for him to walk which also ended in a major failure.

By now, you have noticed that I have been using the word genuinely lame person, this is because many of those who claim to be healed are not genuinely lame, some come with bandages on their legs, and at first claim that they cannot walk, the “man of God” then prays for them and they begin to walk. The people are then led to believe that a lame person walked. If you want to believe this, look around your home town and see if there is/was a truly genuinely lame person who has ever walked.

With all the publicity and propaganda the Pentecostals give to their activities, one would expect that the healed people will be all around us, but you will be surprised just to look for a single person. However, the most surprising bit of the Pentecostal miracle stories is that, with all the crusades where miracles are claimed to be, genuine miracles have never been performed. Don’t be surprised by that statement, I know you once saw a lame person on TV or on a crusade getting healed, that’s not the point, You were fooled too as I was before. It is time you uncover what has been hidden from your eyes, the point is that you did not know that person and you have no evidence whether that person was really lame.

To be sincere, for all the years I have been on this earth and for the short time I spent in the Pentecostal movement; I have never seen a genuinely lame person walk after being prayed for by a Pentecostal pastor. I am ready to be proved wrong by any Pastor but for us not to be fooled again, the lame person should be known by the people present. In this case, it will be me to pick the lame person. In fact I know many on Kampala streets whom these pastors pass by in their posh cars.

Example of fake Pentecostal miracles

When a person begins to talk about the miracles in the world which never happened, the person will write one of the biggest books in history. This is because, these fake and un true miracles have happened in every corner of Pentecostal churches. Pentecostals pastors have credited to them selves many miracle to them selves thought a close scrutiny of their claims has led to the discovery of the opposite.

Recently, a woman named Grace Kashemeire came out and apologized to people for spending many years of her life deceiving people that she had been healed of AIDS, the sad point of it was her revelation that she had been told to lie by a very famous pastor (Imelda Namutebi) .This woman went to many Pentecostal churches spreading her lies and in regard to her testimony many Pentecostals went out of their churches to spread wrong news that their pastors can heal AIDS.

This is a direct extract from one of the leading news papers in Uganda concerning the story of Grace “For years Grace Kashemeire, 55 told Christians that Pastor Imelda Namutebi Kula had cured her of HIV/AIDS by praying for her … Now Kashemeire says it was all a lie! She claims that it was Pastor Namutebi who in 1999, asked her to declare that her (Namutebi’s) prayers had cured her of HIV/AIDS . As a reward Kashemeire was allegedly promised a monthly stipend of 350,000 shillings and protection” 3

The Los Angeles Times presented a behind the scene sad story of the miracle of a young boy William Vandernkolk which really never happened.

As in many of his crusades, William Vandernkolk of Los angels, an 11 year old boy was presented by Benny Hinn as a boy who miraculously recovered from blindness, ‘I liked it first because I thought I was being healed’ says William in the living room of his aunt and uncle’s home.

As it was watched on the screen all over the world, Hinn bends down to William, his hands on the child’s face. ‘Look at these tears’ says Hinn, peering into the child’s eyes “William, baby, can you see? Hinn asks. Before 15,000 people in a Las Vegas arena, William nods, in a small voice, the boy said, “As soon as the God touched me, I could see better” With an arm wrapped around William, Hinn then tells the audience that God has told him to pay the child’s standing medical bills and to sponsor his education. However, today Williams is still legally blind and says his sight never improved, and that his on stage comments were wishful thinking.

It is just too bad for the millions of people around the world who watch Pastor Hinn’s miracles like the one of William on TV believing that they are really true.

“It’s pretty sad when you mess with a little boy’s mind” says Raid Melthrattre, who is Williams’s uncle and guardian. The boy never improved, he is still blind and he never got a single penny from the preacher for medication or education (as Hinn had promised). Today Williams sits back and thinks about his so called healing and feels pity for the hundreds or thousands of people who accepted to join Hinn’s Church because of the miracle which never was. “I feel so bad for the people who joined a wrong movement because of my untrue miracle” William said.4

Justine Peter, a minister from Mississippi, remembers going to a faith healing service as a teenager wanting God to heal his cerebral palsy. Next to him, the elderly man in a wheel chair emptied his wallet into the offering basket, a move that caught the eye of the preacher, Peter recalls the pastor pointing to the man and saying “brother, before this night is over you are going to walk out of here”5

Peter says he remembers looking relentlessly at the elderly man still in the wheel chair, and seeing the anguish in his eyes at the end of the service. The old man, like many others in the Pentecostal movement are living with the false hopes and promises which are never fulfilled.6

I have personally met a person who has claimed on three Pentecostal crusades that he has been healed of blindness; the good thing is that he has since left the movement and he can testify to any one who may be doubting.

One of the “greatest healers” ever since the formation of the Pentecostals movement was Aimee Mc Person. It saddens to find out that even her miracles were really un true. Arno Clemens who was as eye witness on one of her crusades had this to report…
"A little girl wore a pair of glasses one-half of which was entirely black. I gathered that she was totally blind in one eye and almost blind in the other. I sat upon the stage very close to the whole procedure. While prayer was being made for her, the little girl, who appeared to be about 11 years of age, wept and sobbed and writhed in her eagerness to secure the help that she had been led to expect. She left the platform and public claim was made by one of the workers that she had been healed, and the little girl verified the claim by a nod of the head given in reply to the question of the workers. An hour later, when the meeting was out, I noticed a small cluster of women near the platform. I thought I saw the blind little girl in their midst, so I asked my wife to go over and investigate and talk to her if necessary. She found the erstwhile 'cured' girl flat on her face on the floor, sobbing, with shattered hopes and a breaking heart. Her disappointment was complete, and so was her disillusionment. The improved sight that she seemed to have had in the midst of the excitement on the platform had disappeared, and with it the hope of the little girl"7
The September 1992 issue of the Evangelical Times contained the following information about Morris Cerullo healing crusades:

"Miss Audrey Reynolds attended a Morris Cerullo healing crusade in London and believed she was healed of a brain abnormality. She stopped taking her medicine and, as a result, suffered a fatal brain seizure. Sir Montague Levine, the Southwark Coroner, told the inquest, 'It was a tragedy that she went to this meeting and thought she was cured of everything. Sadly, it led to her death.'
This proves that, though some psychosomatic, hypnotic, and satanic miracles have been witnessed in Pentecostal churches. It is with no doubt that most of the so claimed miracles in those churches really never happen or even faked, I do believe that those people who go around churches deceiving others that God healed them or as they went to heaven or any other trickery to deceive others will one day get their punishment in full.

Pentecostals fake the activities of the Holy Spirit

I John 4:1 is an important verse every one should carefully heed to especially in these days when different spirits seem to be slaying people. The verse tells us to “Test the spirit to see whether it came from God”

Let us carefully test the spirit of the Pentecostals to see whether it come from God. This will be easy for us at this point, we have seen the biblical characteristics of people who encountered Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore we are going to go through them and if they are compatible with the Pentecostal spirit then the test will be positive, here we go:-

1. All people in the Bible fell forward not backward.
2. God, Angels or Christ appeared.
3. No one caught those who fell.
4. There was no direct ministry of another person or Pastor.
5. The experiences were unexpected.
6. People remained conscious.

It is not time to judge but it is time to show and tell the truth, ask yourself; do Pentecostal experience of being slain in the spirit appear similar to those mentioned above?
If they are not, then the spirit is not the Holy Spirit but can we prove it is the evil Spirit?

The answer is simple; we just need to test the experience of Pentecostals with that of satanic organizations like the universal church of Satan, witchdoctors, Subud and others. Our work has however been made easy because the experience in these organizations is just the opposite of the biblical characteristics noted above.

It is unfortunate that when we do that, we find the Pentecostals experience as a direct opposition of the biblical accounts for example:-

Pentecostals fall backwards
There is always a direct minister (pastor) or intermediary.
The experiences are expected
People are un conscious
People falling are caught for a safe landing.
God, Christ or angles do not appear physically.

Then the test becomes easy to understand at this point, the testing of Pentecostals experiences of being slain in the spirit are negative to the Bible and positive to the satanic experiences.

Pentecostals Fake the Holy Spirit

Apart from emotionalism and direct Satanism, there is a common activity of faking the experience of the spirit. Many people and their pastors have been discovered to fake the activities of the Spirit. In some cases, people are just pushed over to fall down.

Talking about faking the spirit, Larry Thomas makes this insightful observations regarding faking being slain in the spirit.

“I saw on video tape, everybody in the place was lying on their backside. He (the pastor) finally turned around and realized that the choir hadn’t been blessed yet, and so he said ‘you all up in the cheap seats need some of this’ and he went like that and they all fell down, except one old man with a hearing aide which he was not using, and he (the old man) looked around at everybody, you could see him the hearing aides hanging. Since he wasn’t using it, he did not hear the command and he did not fall when others around him did, he looked around as the only one standing and he fell too” 6

It was very clear from that video tape that the old man first saw that every one around him had fallen and that’s why he fell too. The Pentecostal leaders can not prove by use of scriptures that their experiences are biblical. Try as they might, the best thing they can do is to twist the scriptures to make “a pole fit into a square hole”

I attended a Pentecostal church where people where people were rolling on the ground, shivering, weeping, and shouting. During this time the pastor was busy screaming that the Holy Spirit is pouring and his followers where busy screaming that the Holy Spirit had touched them. However, there was one lady who caught my attention, she was screaming that the demon of her grand mother had attached her, she rolled on ground while screaming “you must come back and serve your ancestors, if you refuse we will kill you”. The only problem was that the ushers were busy dealing with other people and no one could come to lift her up.

After some time, she stood up by her self and went back to her seat. I remained wondering what would have happened if the ushers had taken her to the pastor? Wouldn’t people think that the pastor has driven out a demon? After thinking about the whole incidence I came to a better conclusion that the woman’s acts where nothing but forgery and pretence.

The Pentecostal spirit is satanic

We are living in the times where people are so much interested in searching for the spirit. Many are not geared towards the search for truth, but towards the search for powers and people who have it. People are looking for something supernatural and many false teachers who are willing to give them what there itching ears want to hear. “Believers are encouraged to be seeker sensitive” 1, seeking for new gifts, powers and the Spirit

As a result people who seek the spirit eventually find the spirit but many times not the Spirit of God but the spirit of the evil one. Many pastors have resorted to using the spirit of Satan in disguise for the Holy Spirit directly or through other satanic channels like hypnosis which the “believers” call the “pouring of the spirit”

Pentecostals are always very eager to refer to them selves as people of the spirit, they consider them selves to be alive in the spirit while referring to other churches as “dead churches” without the Holy Spirit. However, many questions have been raised about the Pentecostal spirit especially concerning the source. Some wonder whether He is the real Holy Spirit, evil spirit, hypnotisms or just emotionalism and ecstasy. In this chapter, the mystery has been un covered.

Satan has also been watching attentively as people look for more power- power to heal and be healed, power to anoint and be anointed and power to work miracles, Satan the master of the evil spirit is very willing to use his evil spirit to mislead people, this is the reason why the Bible told us to test the spirit to see whether it comes from God (I John 4:1).

Lack of discernment and use of souls forces

Though many Pentecostals confess possessing the Holy Spirit, that is their main problem, it’s true they have the spirit but many lack the gift of discernment, other wise they would leave this movement . The Bible told us to test the spirit but Pentecostals have fallen short of that. Many of their leaders directly engage in activities of un holy spirits but their followers have failed to discern the spirit for their own good.

Many people have been led into occultic/hypnotic phenomenon such as spirit slaying and drunkenness and soothsaying (which they often call "the word of knowledge) as apostolic signs, due to their quest for more powers and favors by pastors who use soul forces and may exaggerate and prefabricate the alleged signs. They have found them selves in churches of spiritual confusion where the real Holy Spirit never exists.

The spirit of confusion

There are many strange things which take place when the Pentecostal movement Spirit comes down. Physical jerking, holy laughter, slain in the spirit, and animal sounds are some of the activities which characterize the movement. However among all the mentioned activities, there is none which stand for the truth since they are also heavily present in Satanism but sadly they are the major reason why people join the Pentecostal movement.

I watched a man who banged his head on the wall during worship and had to be taken to the hospital. If you can only see Pentecostals laughing in the spirit, groaning like animals, and swing their clothes high and low, you will not fail to conclude as the man who founded them called it “a case of spiritual power prostituted”. Parham also referred to the activities of the movement he began as “manifestations of the flesh, spiritualistic controls, and the practice of hypnotism”

It is a state of confusing a person mind into believing that the Holy Spirit has come when it just an influence of musical instrument through the use of very soft tones, hypnotism, pastors directions or nothing happening at all apart from declaring the holy spirit where it is not.

Is being slain in the spirit Godly?

Pentecostals always cherish the idea and activity of being slain in the spirit which they describe as a moment when he Holy Spirit is bringing back past painful memories to heal them, and the person is screaming out in agony or the Holy Spirit is blessing the individual so tremendously that, they are screaming out under his power or the moment when Holy Spirit is doing something prophetic in the person’s life.2

The only problem with their definitions is that, they use absolutely no scriptures to validate any of their points. The truth is that, they do not forget to quote them but there are absolutely no scriptures to support them.

Being slain in the spirit is a very old practice though it is foreign to the Bible; there is no where in the Bible where a person was slain in spirit like it is done in the Pentecostal movement. However the activity has been prevalent from shrines to occult and in direct Satanism.

I watched a young girl who had been possessed by a demon falling backward to the ground and rolling down on the floor; she could omit certain sounds and she lost her mental conscience. The very same scenario happens in the Pentecostal movement though in Pentecostalism, it is referred to as the Holy Spirit. As we have noted, there is no incidence in Bible where the Holy Spirit slay people like the way it is done in Pentecostalism, hypnotism, occultism and in direct Satanism.

Pentecostals have frequently quoted some Bible verses out of context so as to back up their arguments concerning being slain the spirit. These include; II Chronicles 5:11-14, Matthew 17:5-7, and Acts 9:3-4, If you carefully examine those Bible verses you will discover that they have some characteristics which are essential in discerning being slain by the Holy Spirit and being slain by the evil spirit. It seems many Pentecostals have never noticed them, these include:-

All people in the Bible fell forward and not backward like the Pentecostals do.

On the occasions people fell down, there was supernatural appearance of angles or God himself which never happens in the Pentecostal movement.

No one caught those who fell (there where no catchers).

The Holy Spirit did not make any one laugh.

There was no direct ministry of another person or intermediary like the way Pentecostals pastors do.

All the experiences where un expected.

People remained conscious

It is by no surprise that none of the Pentecostal reactions to the spirit fit in the biblical characteristics of people reaction to the coming of the spirit or God himself as outlined above. The Pentecostals un knowingly quote those verses forgetting that they are comparing two parallel and antagonistic things.

Invariably, Pentecostals fall when some one has laid hands on them or when some one has ordered them to do so. Nothing of the sort happened in the verses above. In the book of II Chronicles 5:11-14, we notice a temple dedication ceremony, Note also that, all priests fell down, there is no record of any Pentecostal service where all people fell down under God’s power simultaneously (including the pastor), In many cases, the pastor remain standing which is very different from what happened in the book of Chronicles.

There fore using II chronicles 5:11-14 is a grave mistake, the Pentecostals are attempting to compare the biblical with the unbiblical which is anti Christ and satanic.

Even when you take a closer look on Matthew 17:5-7, there is nothing which indicates that God slew the disciples in spirit, nor does it say that the Holy spirit knocked them to the ground. They fell because they were afraid and they remained conscious. It is also important to note that they fell on their face (forward). What happen on that day is an exact opposite of what happens in Pentecostal Churches.

Neither does Acts 9:3-4 fit into the Pentecostal explanations, the text can not legitimately be used to prove the manifestations taking place in Pentecostal Churches,

There is no one who laid hands on Paul and I wonder how many Pentecostals can be fooled by their leaders to such an extent. Paul also never lost conciseness, his mind and other faculties were very sharp, he was able to speak rationally and with a stable mind spoke to God. This does not happen in the Pentecostal experience.

John White3 used Daniel 10:9-10 to justify falling down under the Holy Spirit power. He forgot that unlike today, Daniel’s experience was totally un expected, In today’s Pentecostal worship services, people expect to be slain in the spirit, When Daniel was over come, the angel came and gave him strength. This is something we do not see in today’s services. Note that Daniel fell face forward, almost all Pentecostals who are slain in the spirit fall backward. There is simply no legitimate manner Daniel 10:9-10 can be used to support the Pentecostals way of being slain in the spirit.

If the Pentecostal experiences of being slain in the spirit is opposite to the Biblical accounts then what is it? There is no best answer to that than concluding that the Spirit which slays them is not the same as the Holy Spirit of the bible.
