UNBELIEVABLE - IMPOSSIBLE - AMAZING - INCREDIBLE

Whether you believe in magic or not, Hans Klok's Houdini Experience will definately astound you and have you believing the impossible is happening before your very eyes.

Currently at the Peacock Theatre until March 24th, the Dutch 'Master of Mystery' has surrounded himself with scantily clad 'Divas of Magic' and a cast of world-class variety and circus acts. Between them they deliver lightning fast illusions, daredevil stunts that defy you not to be totally amazed.

We've all seen illusionists and magicians in the past and tried to work out how each one is done. Your eyes search for hidden compartments, mirrors and any possible way you can debunk the 'magic'. But Hans Klok is so FAST!. It truly is 'now you see it, now you don't'!

I was privileged to see the show on Saturday and it certainly has that 'WOW' factor. The audience - a mixture of adults and children - were kept entertained throughout as Hans ran though his incredible array of tricks. One minute he was making an assistant disappear then the next, he'd vanished and taken her place inside a cage or locked box. Then he would pluck items out of thin air and they would vanish just as quickly. Sure some of the stunts we have seen before by other acts, but it was the sheer 'in your face' speed of some of the illusions that was mind boggling.

He also took centre stage between stunts, telling stories of when Houdini himself played London theatres 100 years ago. After all, this is the Houdini Experience and Hans shows a deal of reverance and awe for the grand master of escapology. Performing Houdini's death defying Water escape at one point himself.

The girls were gorgeous, the men were....very 'fit' or so I'm assured and the whole pace of the show was phenominal. My wife's hands are still sore from all the clapping!

The guest acts are impressive too, with a chinese guy doing things on a high wire that defy gravity. A fantastic Cuban duo performing a pole routine that will astound in sheer strength and athleticism. And more, much more packed into the two and a half hour show which is perfect or all members of the family
- sceptics included!

It's just about to hit us over here in the UK - Movie Awards Fever!
In two days time the first event in our own Awards calendar - the London Film Critics Awards - takes place at the BFI Southbank. Plus we had an early start this morning (that should read THEY, as I was still curled up in bed at the time of the 7-40am start!) for the announcement of the BAFTA nominations.
But whilst idling my time away last night, flicking from one TV channel to the next, I alighted on the E! Entertatinment channel coverage of this past weekend's GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS.

OH - MY - GOD .....Everybody was there!
With excellent coverage on the red carpet, interviews by the duo of Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic and an absolute cornucopia of A list celebs.
Brad and Angelina, George Clooney, Charlize Theron, Kate Beckinsale, Jodie Foster, Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, Madonna, Natalie Portman, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Leonard di Caprio, Elle Macpherson, Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon, Salma Hayek, and the lovely Mila Kunis. And that's without mentioning the 100 other celebrity guests, but ......

.....Sorry gotta stop there it's making me weep as there were so many famous faces - Truly a line up we could only dream of in London - IN A WHOLE YEAR!
The other noticeable thing from watching the coverage was how professionally organised the red carpet was. The photographers were there at the side of the red carpet and the celebrity was stopped in front of a run of Golden Globes logos interspersed with greenery. No messy backgrounds - No PRs standing behind the actress - no PRs hands on the talent pulling them away. They knew what to do and they had everything set up to make good pictures.

A few lessons to be learnt there I would humbly suggest. Just take a look at our upcoming BAFTAs, and for snappers just think back to past BAFTAs. Yes sure it rains in London, but we have had

some element of cover in the past 2 years. The Globes red carpet seemed to be covered in with plastic. Yes it was in Beverly Hills, but with those actresses clothed in many thousands of dollars worth of designerwear, I'm sure the cover was welcomed as it probably gets a bit nippy even in California this time of year.

So with page upon page of pictures from not only Sunday's Globes but events like the Critics Choice Awards, the BAFTA LA Party and the American Film Industry Awards all held over the past few days in the USA, I hope they leave a little space for us and our substantially more humble events in chilly old England.
And finally...I have no idea what Kelly Osbourne was doing dressing up as her granny. She was there on E! giving her 'expert' comments on the dresses and style, yet there she is with a blue dress on, her tattoos on her arms and her hair died GREY. Style Guru ? Kelly O ??
Did she think it was a Saga Holidays function with guests from the Slough and District Over 60s Knitting Circle?

Whatever Next - an actual Premiere in Leicester Square???

With photographers in London complaining that there are no celebrities about again - it's August, so what's new? - we are embarking on a busy few days. Two Premieres in a week and a new series of 'Spot the Celebrity in the Big Brother House'.

Tonight at the Vue in Leicester Square - yes, a Premiere in Leicester Square - hit TV comedy ' The Inbetweeners' is transformed into a movie. Will it be like so many TV shows who stray from their winning formula and try to spin out a 30 minute idea into a full blown 90 minute movie, or will it be a rare hit. Certainly the show itself has a big fan following on TV and even I have watched it once, I think.
Anyway the show's stars Blake thingummy the tall guy, the geezer with the glasses, Simon maybe and the other two, will all be there. Plus Anthony Head's daughter Emily, hopefully the other Emily, Ms Atack, who is blonde and gorgeous and I'm sure there will be all kinds of Z listers eager for their chance to get their picture taken on a red carpet.
Then tomorrow, a red carpet Press launch of X Factor at the O2. The show's judges and presenters will be on parade for the press in a lunchtime photocall.

"I'm actually a Celebrity - really I am' Big Brother launches on Thursday night at Elstree Studios. I think the line up is already heavily trailed in the press and the keenest of the "I want to be a celebrity again" housemates have been organising their own PR campaigns to try to get their column inches before the event. Whilst no doubt the REAL celebs are busy negotiating their fees upwards as some of the touted contestants fall by the wayside. There are always those people in the house who we look at and say "Erm...exactly who, erm...how....". Last year you will recall Kayla Collins - unknown Playboy model, was put in the house. Obviously to try to 'get off' with someone and there were a few other people in their too, but pardon me, I've forgotten who they were, I'd have to check my notes.
It seems like last year's theme was Katie price's 'exes' and this year's theme seems to be on the same lines, 'celebrities exes' - we have David Hasselhoff's ex wife Pamela Bach, who used to be an 'multi talented actress', but seems to have appeared in nothing since 2003. So a spell in the CBB House should certainly raise her profile. There is supposed to be Whitney Houston;'s ex, Bobby Brown, who used to be a singer, but seems to be serial Reality TV show 'fodder' for the past few years. Tara Reid was rumoured, as was Charlie Sheen - which is the usual ploy to get us interested, before the non-appearance of celebrities and the reality of "oh blimey who is that?" on the night. Pamela Anderson is another who is linked, but some sources say, 'for one day only' others say 'just for a week' - so I'm guessing she wants big bucks and Channel 5 are offering minimum wage.

I'm sure launch night will be hugely exciting and it's fan base of followers of TOWIE, Fat Gypsy Weddings and the rest of their ilk masquerading as 'top line entertainment', will love it.
Next Tuesday we actually have a celebrity, a star, coming to London, for a Premiere. OK So we had Indiana Jones and James Bond last week, but you cannot possibly beat Celebrity Royalty - none other than the Princess of Genovia, Anne Hathaway. But that's a week away, hold your breath and enjoy the hors d'oeuvres of the Inbetweeners first.

Help - I have a Hangover from Heather

Pardon me for rather indulging myself for a few lines, after all it's MY Blog, so why not?
Anyway there I was flicking around the thousands of crappy TV channels last night in search of something to watch after Man Utd had thrashed Schalke and I thought I'd settle for a few laughs. And what better movie to watch than 'The Hangover'. One of the funniest films of the last few years, great cast, clever script and it has a big bonus, the inclusion of the hottest 41 year old actress around, Heather Graham.

Yes, exactly, it amazed me too, Heather is 41. Remember when she came to London for the Premiere of the movie in that sheer blue dress (left). We could see her nipples from the other end of the red carpet. She was sexy in the movie too and if you cast your mind back a decade or so to her iconic role as 'Felicity Shagwell' in Austin Powers. Yes, very nice.
Sure there will be no Oscars nominations coming her way, but we are in the entertainment industry and she is one of the actress like, say, Goldie Hawn before her that majors on 'entertainment'.
So it's rather disappointing to report that Heather is not in the upcoming Hangover sequel, in fact her next movie to look out for is "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer"...in which she plays 'Aunt Opal'.
Come on casting agents out there, put her in something worthy of her talents. Well, maybe just put her in SOMETHING. She's bubbly, cute and sexy as hell for her age.

OK that's enough on that topic for now, must go grab a cold shower.
By the way, not long to wait for the 'Heathe-rless Hangover' aka 'The Hangover Part 2'. After the huge success of the original, this will be one of the most anticipated films of 2011.
It follows the original cast to Bangkok, Thailand for Stu's wedding and of course, things get out of hand. It Premieres in the L.A at Graumann's Chinese Theater on May 19th and is due to be released in the UK on May 27th.
