[Pepper's Diary] Aug 8, Dogathon 2010

2010-08-08T08:53:00.000-07:00

Weee..it's the Dogathon day!!!

We suppose to be there early in the morning, but as usual Mummy & Daddy are big sleepy-head who can't get out of bed that early. Well, we left home at 9am++ and reached UPM around 10am. I can literally smells other dogs far away from the parking and got super excited about it.

Pepper needs to do some basic health check before we are allowed to register. Hehehe..it's really ticklish. I guess the kakak and abang are still student :p However, they said that Pepper is in great health, which made Mummy very happy.

Then, we met this very colorful MS at the registration area. I guess her name is Minne as the name is being colored on the other side of her body. She looks punk! Mom, are u going to color me that way too? (Pepper's mom: Don't need, you are dark color, it's just gonna be waste of Mummy's $$ to try to dye color onto u)

The weather is good and there are so many humans and doggie friends around ^^ Pepper met a few of Pepper's buddy there, so did Mummy.

It's getting hot around 11am++, so this is what I did...hiding in each of the booth that we dropped by..hehehe. I'm smart, ain't I ^^

There's these 2 dogs from K9 Training School. I really salute that they can just sit there with all the distractions around them and still remained non distracted and calm. Pepper can do that too, but just for 3 seconds under such circumstances. (Pepper's Mom: Now u know why I said waste my effort and money sent you to school =.=")

Daddy managed to take pictures of 1 group of handsome husky too. Guess that they are having some husky gathering.

When the heat is getting on to me, Pepper just want to get into the car and enjoy the air-con. So looking at Pepper start being reckless and refuse to walk anymore, at last my humans decided to head home.

We met these 2 "Anubis" dogs at the exit. Guess that they went for the Anubis Run in the morning. Thank God, we can't make it on time...I don't wanna wear those things :p

It's a really tiring day as right after that I was being sent to have medicated bath to prevent ticks & fleas. Once got home, I just can't help it to find a comfort spot on Mummy's fatty tummy and off to my dreamland.

Dogathon was fun. We'll be there again next year ^^

[Pepper's Diary] Collapsible Pet Feeder

2010-07-31T22:11:00.000-07:00

As most of you might have heard from my Mummy complaining that Pepper is a very super duper picky eater now, so as "smart" as my Mummy could be, she thinks that changing Pepper's bowl might trigger Pepper interest in eating. Well, she has tried changing kibbles, it doesn't work..so no harm try changing bowl now :p

The bowl looks really cool. It has 4 legs and it feels much comfortable as Pepper has grown taller now. Anyway, I'm still insisted in being picky on my food, life is too short to have only kibbles. I'm protesting till I'm getting something more yummylicious than my kibbles..woof woof.

It works this time, as I only had 2 chicken rice spoonful of kibbles early in the morning, had nothing even after running and socializing the whole evening till late night with other doggie friends. Mummy worry that I will get gastric and burnt another hole in the Pawsome Treats piggy bank (a.k.a Pepper's piggy bank :p), she gave in and made me this yummy scramble egg with kibbles and chicken sausage specially made for dogs, not to mentioned the honey toppings. I still refuse to eat at first because I can see there are kibbles in between the eggs. But after accidentally licked 1 piece of the egg, ooohhh..I can't help myself but to finish all of them up ^^

Then I overheard Mummy told Daddy that this is only exceptional, case she will not do that anymore in the future. If I refuse to eat my kibbles, fine..I'm not getting anything else.

Well, we shall see who will be the last one standing..wakakakaka..woof woof!

[Pepper's Diary] I'm out of "JAIL" !!!

2010-07-25T07:23:00.000-07:00

Dear friends, just want to let you all know that Pepper has fully recovered. Lost some weight though, but that doesn't matter. The most important is I'm now out of "JAIL"...woof woof. 2 weeks seems to be like 2 years when you are being locked down at home looking at 4 walls :p

Off we go to DPC on Sat evening to meet my lovely friends. Oohhh how much I miss them ^^A friendly butt sniffing is a must to my old friends. Playing zoomies is a must too! In just 2 weeks, Poppy & Sherry have grown a little ^^Chaser's fur has grown longer too..but he is still the handsome little fella I knew ^^ I ran and ran and ran...the smell of the grass and the sunset makes me feels that it's so good to be healthy again!

[Friendly butt sniffing]

[Miki & Poppy playing face biting]

[Spot the Schnauzer - Can you see where am I?]

That day I went back home happy and tired.

[Tired....]

Sunday, is my shopping day. Daddy & Mummy said that I've been a really good girl going through my sick days. Guess what, even the doctor said I'm a tough little fella, I didn't cry or move when I was given jabs or when the doctor take the weird looking thing and poke into my hand hand for blood. So, as reward, we are going out shopping for "MY" stuff...yuppie!!!

And....here you go..I've got 2 new clothes, 1 new toy and a pink super absorbent pet towel. I don't know how much those things costs. I just show my 10 cent puppy face and Daddy pulled out the gold card from his wallet and those are all mine ^^

[Yeah..don't laugh, I'm in skirt...look at my face..I'm being forced!!!]

[Hmm..I'm "handome", don't I ^^]

Besides that, Pepper is losing interest on Pepper's kibbles eversince the first day Pepper got sick. Pepper doesn't know why, it just happened. I feel sorry that Mummy is worried. She tried mixing Pepper's kibbles with the Natural Balance sample pack from Pets World. It works for 2 days and Pepper being picky again by not eating Pepper's lunch & dinner in the auto feeder. So off Mummy went and buy other really expensive kibbles to mix with my Addiction Salmon Bleu. Hmm..I guess a dog just got bored of eating kibbles. Imagine if you human eat chicken rice for meal 3 times a day and for 11 months, guess that you won't want to eat it too even if the chicken rice is mixed with caviar :p

Regardless, this is a good weekend for me. I'm really looking forward for next weekend DPC outing to meet my friends again. Till then, I'm gonna be really good girl this week to compensate Daddy & Mummy ^^

[Pepper's Diary] Updates on Pepper

2010-07-15T05:20:00.000-07:00

[Pepper]
Pepper has been sick, so I'm gonna passed this over to my Mummy for updates.

[Pepper's Mom]

As most of you know, Pepper has been diagnosed by almost kidney & liver failure due to parasites attacks on this Tuesday night. If you have follow my wall posts, you would know how it happened. It happened so quick, in just 2 days...However, we do not want to bring the past up again or pointing fingers at other people. We just hope to gather more pawsitive vibes for our baby and hope that she is going to recover real soon.

For those that have send their best wishes to us, thank you very much. Your support are very much needed for us to go thru this tough time.

Just to keep you posted, today has been the 2nd day that she's being diagnosed. Doc did blood test, gave her jab and medications on Tuesday. She's been a very good little girl with no whining, no barking or even move when the Doc withdraw her blood or gave her jab. Just the ear back and teary round eyes looking at Mummy. Ooo..I cannot explained how that look breaks my heart into pieces.

She has to go back for another round of blood test and jab this Friday and following by the next round on Monday. We pray very hard that her kidney and liver function will show sign of improvement on the next blood test. She's doing much better now compared to the past few days. Appetite still not very good and poo poo color still not looking good though, I've been forcing her to drink more water. But at least, she's willing to play with her Baby Pooh today and follow me in and out on where I go.

OK..I'm gonna pass this post back to Pepper for a while. She's been scratching my arms when I'm here typing =.="

[Pepper]
Hey pals, uncle and aunties, don't worry about Pepper. I'm a tough little girl and making a good recovery. Just want to tell Pepper's pal that Pepper miss you all so much. As Pepper is not fully recovered yet, thus I'm not going out to DPC this weekend, just in case the virus spread to you all. Next weeekend, maybe, depend on what Pepper's blood test said. Pepper cross-paws that I'm going to recover fast so that I can have good time with you all running in the park again. Wait for me yeah ^^ Love you all !

[Food Places] Ajisen Ramen, Sunway Giza

2010-07-15T05:03:00.000-07:00

Another food places in Sunway Giza that allowed dogs ^^

I guess most restaurants in Sunway Giza that has smoking areas do allowed pets. This is because we actually let Pepper walk on-leash after dinner around the area and the guards does not stop us, instead looking at Pepper as if she's a cute toy ^^

Well, Ajisen Ramen, if i'm not mistaken, it's a chain store like Sushi King. Bet many has tried this place before. Me was craving for their Tepanyaki Beef Don, but too bad it finished earlier that night, so I have ordered a Deluxe Chicken Tepanyaki Bento instead. In the other hand, Pepper's Dad is a huge pork fan, so Sizzling Pork set was his choice.

Overall the food is ok, nothing much to shout about. We should try their Ramen the next round as my friend said that the ramen soup is very addictive ^^

p/s: You should make a reservation before you go especially on weekend nights, they are usually packed. We were very lucky that there were people finishing their food when we arrived. Else, we will ended up standing there waiting and drooling at people's food :p

Additional things to share with you all. On that day, we met a very adorable black & silver MS in DPC named - Chaser. He's just so adorable that I almost kidnapped him back to be Pepper's little brother. Didn't get the owner's name though even after chatting with them for like almost an hour :p They got this cutie from Taman Desa, Pet Tales. This cutie is having both Taiwanese father and mother, unlike Pepper, only the dad is Taiwanese. No wonder, he's sooooooo adorable. So, MS owner to be, now you know where can you get a nice MS :)

[Food Places] Cravigns Kitchen & Bistro, Sunway Giza

2010-07-02T02:17:00.000-07:00

Another dog friendly place to share with you guys.

Cravings in Sunway Giza is famous for their 12'inch Monster Burger.

We decided to give it a try after the visit to Pets World.Gave them a call and amazingly, they allow small size dog to be seated at the smoking area. So off we went ^^

I have tried the burger with my colleagues during weekdays, so it's Pepper's Dad turn to try it. The burger has 2 pieces of beef patties, 1 piece of chicken drumstick, 1 piece of fish patty, 2 pieces of beef salami, 1 piece of ham and 2 pieces of hashbrown. Not to mentioned lots of greens, tomatoes and onions slices. Yummy! I like their patties, it tastes different as it's handmade by them. It's not the Ramli's burger patties :p

[The monster burger]

[Greedy Pepper drooling looking at the burger]

Besides that, we've ordered additional hashbrown (also handmade by them), chicken herbal soup, coleslaw, watermelon peppermint drink and passion fruit peppermint tea. Overall, it's a nice place to hang out. Most importantly, Pepper can join us for dinner at this place :)

[Watermelon Peppermint]

[Hashbrown - Very Nice]

[Chicken Herbal Soup - I like it but some people don't like it as it's too watery. Pepper "sapu" all the tender chicken meat from this soup. Daddy & Mummy, drink soup only]

[Coleslaw]

p/s: Wednesday and Thursday are ladies day. All meals at lunch
time are 50% off for ladies

[Pepper was not so happy as she just got to eat tomatoes, a bit of chicken meat and have to sit there and wait for us to finish dinner :p]

[Pepper's Diary] Pet World Malaysia 2010, Mid Valley

2010-06-26T19:39:00.000-07:00

This is my first time to Pet World, Pepper don't know what to expect.

First, I got freak out taking the escalator. I grab Daddy's shoulder so tightly that Daddy shriek like a little girl..hahahah :p

Second, this is my first time in mall. I got so distracted as there is so many people. People walking passed and touching Pepper, too much of attention, I got freaked out.

Luckily, when we got into the exhibition hall, there are many doggie friends there. Pepper is so excited and went over to say Hi to everybody. There are 3 schnauzers, a few poodles, 1 huge pretty husky and 1 huge handsome St. Bernard. I greeted my own breed then went over and play with the big dogs. Pepper just love to "kacau" big dogs. It takes awhile for them to realize I was there as Pepper is just too little compared to them. The humans around said we are so cute because Pepper play dead when the big dogs came over and "hunt" for me..kekeke. I'm good at doing that. It feels good to be the center of attention once in a while. I was a super star !!! :p

[Group of schnauzers always created a scene as they are such a sniffer :p]

[A very nicely groom standard Poodle from Pets Icon]

[A very hyperactive Cocker Spaniel was greeting Pepper]

[The pretty huge Husky]

[The very good tempered St. Bernard]

[Little Pepper went and "kacau" the big dogs, she cannot even reach their butts =.="]

[Pepper posing in the Eukanuba booth]

Mummy as usual went to this kind of place to find good bargain. This time, she indeed got a good bargain in Addiction kibbles. It's cheaper by RM6 compared to the normal price. I guess RM6 is quite a lot for the humans, as my Mummy bought a few packs of them. So, my following 3 months of meal supply is settled ^^

Besides that, Pepper got a few free treats when we visited the booth by just acting cute. This is really an easy job. I love exhibition. We should do this more..woof woof. Mummy got a few pack of free samples too from Nutriedge, Eukanuba and Natural Balance. A Big Thank You to them ^^An advice to other dog owners that got free sample, please check the expiry date before feeding them to your dog. My Mummy got a pack of sample that was expired for 3 months. She is not happy about that because if she is not being careful and feed me those, I might have suffered diarrhea.

[Catch of the day! Besides the Salmon Blue and Natural Balance Biscuit, the rest are free samples ^^]

As conclusion, Pet World Malaysia 2010 rocks and Pepper will be there again next year ^^

[This pic has been submitted for HomeAPet Calendar contest. Please do vote for me when the voting is open for public yeah ^^]

[Pepper's Diary] Chew Chew Bone

2010-06-24T07:03:00.000-07:00

Mummy bought me a new toy today !

It's actually a replacement for my rawhide bone.

Don't get me wrong, i love my rawhide bone. It is just that Daddy always complaint after i play with my rawhide bone, he'll be having big headache when mopping the floor due to the stain of rawhide bone. Besides that, the rawhide bone always stick to Pepper's hand hand's fur too. So it takes Mummy & Daddy up to hours to groom Pepper after bath.

So here come my new toy, it's called chew chew bone! Guess what, it's in chocolate flavor..woof woof woof !!!

[Pepper's Mom: Look at her, what kind of expression is that =.="]

[Pepper's Mom: This fella is still having 1 baby canal teeth that haven't fall off]

[Pepper's Mom: Very happy biting..within 30min, it's all little holes on the chew chew bone]

I never have a chance to taste human's chocolate as it's toxin for us doggie. Now i got a chocalate flavor chew bone..i'm just going to chew this thing till i fall asleep..hehehe ^^

[Pepper's Diary] My Holiday to East Coast

2010-06-14T22:36:00.000-07:00

Weee...we’re going back to grandma’s place again. Mummy’s hometown is in Dungun, a small town in Terengganu state. We’re going back for a wedding. Hooray, there is going to be lots of people to play with me..woof woof.

Pepper has been a frequent traveler, 4 hours journey is ok for me as Pepper will just sleep and sleep and sleep throughout the whole journey..hehehe. First day back in hometown, first of all of course Pepper must visit the long awaited beach. The last time Pepper been to the beach was 4 months ago. Due to Pepper was still small last time, Mummy didn’t allow Pepper to swim. This time around, Pepper is going to get thrown into the sea…weeeeee…sounded so exciting.

[Pepper’s Mom: Pepper first time swimming in the sea was horrible as she got freaked out and as result Mummy got lots and lots of scratches on thigh and arms =.=”]

Ahem..swimming in the sea wasn’t as exciting as Pepper thought it would be. Thank God, there was a dinner party that night to make Pepper forget the terrifying experience at the beach in day 1. As usual, Pepper has been the center of attention in the dinner party. All the kids just love Pepper. And Pepper is really good with kids too. Gives them lots of smooches and perform lots of cutie tricks to make them happy ^^

2^nd day was the wedding. Everybody was busy thus Pepper has nothing much to do except running up and down the stairs at home. Pepper is getting very good at staircase nowadays ! Ooo..not to forget, Pepper met a new friend, a fox (musang) named "Oo-Ooh" (black black in hokkien). She's is not friendly at all and almost scratch Pepper's eye out. Pity little thing, guess that she's scared because Pepper is much much bigger than her.

3^rd day was the sand, the sun and the sea day again. Mummy again still wanna throw me into the sea. She said it’s the last day and it will be wasted if Pepper didn’t go for a swim. So, the following are pictures of Pepper before swim and after swim. Enjoy !

Pepper has lots of fun in this holiday.

We’re now back in KL now as Mummy said she can’t stay there too long as there are tons of treats she needs to make and post to other furkid’s Mummy.

Well, I wish that we’ll be back there soon.

Next time, Pepper is going to conquer the sea..woof woof !!!

[Pepper's Diary] My Old Clothes? New Clothes?

2010-06-14T06:30:00.000-07:00

Daddy accidentally found this pink hoody while packing Pepper's stuff for holiday.

It used to be extremely huge for Pepper when Mummy bought it during Pepper was just 4 months old. Look how fast Pepper grows, now it can barely fit me! It's a sweater hoody, Mummy said that it will come into handy when we are going to Genting or Bukit Tinggi. I don't know where's that, as long as i can go out "kai-kai" then it's good !!!

[Pepper's Diary] What for Dinner???

2010-06-03T05:01:00.001-07:00

...........................the end of story, does Pepper got to eat Dominos Pizza???
The answer is NOOOOOOO..Mummy wanted Pepper to stay around for a longer time, so Pepper is not allowed to eat that stuff...unfair unfair unfair... :(

But luckily Daddy gives Pepper eat a bit bit of the bread and some pineapple..hehehe..but that is not enough for my "BIG" stomach...so I better head off for my kibbles, else Mummy will keep them with the excuses that Pepper should go on diet :p

p/s: My Mummy just got to know that Dominos Pizza has GPS Tracker on where is your ordered pizza..this is sooo cool !!!

[Pepper's Diary] 20.05.2010 DPC Outing with Daddy's New Camera

2010-06-03T04:19:00.000-07:00

Daddy got a new camera...woof woof !!!

Ermm...actually Daddy's camera doesn't bother me that much, I'm happy because I knew that we are definitely going out because Daddy itchy handed want to try out his new toy \^o^/

Blame KL for not having any other dog friendly park, so we were off to DPC again. (Seems to be a routine nowadays to go DPC every weekend, I'm not complaining, I'm all good with it ^^)

Maybe we arrived a little too early, Pepper doesn't see many friends there...Oooo, but got lots of Pom Pom running around, guess that the humans were having Pom Pom gathering??! As usual, Pepper is off to meltz other doggie's Mummy heart with this "ear-go-to-back" look..kekekekke

Then Mummy forced Daddy off to jog with Pepper. Mummy said both of us were having too many flabby meat, and we need to toned it up...but horrr..Pepper is a girl le..don't need to be so muscular la, only my fat Daddy needs the exercise mah...

By the way, due to wrong timing, Pepper missed seeing Pepper's boyfriend today. (Pepper's Mom: Since when you're allowed to have boyfriend??? =.=")

Never mind, playing chase chase with my Mummy brings Pepper's happy mood back :)

So this is my outing story this week. Hope that doggie Mummy & Daddy that are reading Pepper's Diary will bring more doggie to DPC so Pepper can meet more friends. Pepper is usually in DPC every Saturday evening. Hope to see you there too..woof woof.

[Pepper's Diary] 22.05.2010 DPC Outing

2010-05-22T07:11:00.000-07:00

Wee..it's the long awaited Saturday again !!!

FYI, Saturday is my DPC outing day. Mummy said running is good for me, else i'm going to have big bum bum for just eating loads of treats and stay at home.

We reached there early today. Met lots of friends today. Me as usual a friendly dog went over and said "Hello" to everybody. I even accompanied an uncle jogged around half of the park. Pity Uncle Jerome (Anyoyo's owner) was running and chasing behind me scared that I got lost and my Mummy will kill him for not watching over me properly...hehehe. Nice one Uncle Jerome, you've got a good exercise today too :p

We've met this handsome Schnauzer belongs to a Japanese family again this week. We've met him last week and Mummy has befriended the handsome boy's family. Too bad, I was busy sticking around his Mummy and wanted to be adopted by the pretty Japanese Lady and the cute Japanese little boy and forgotten to ask what is his name. We can have something like exchange student thingy, right Mom?!!! Anyhow, the little boy seems to like Pepper a lot and want to make an exchange with Mummy. Hope that we'll meet him again next week.

Little Bella & Tanya come over slightly late today. But nevertheless, I had a good time with them especially Little Bella. She's my partner in crime and loves running and chasing around as much as I did. ^^

As usual, our day out is always ending with Pepper posing for the camera. Here's some of Mummy's favorite picture of me today.

I've done bathing and I feel so tired now. I'm signing off now to go to bed.
Sweet dreams everybody !!!

[Pepper's Diary] Fun Saturday

2010-04-24T02:19:00.000-07:00

It's a fun fun Saturday.

Little Bella & her mummy came for visit in the early morning..woof woof ^^ It has been quite a while since we saw little Bella, she has grown bigger and cuter too with the little scarf on her neck (Ma...i like Bella's little scarf..can i have one too? *blink blink*).

Little Bella is so full of energy, she's even more active than Pepper. My Mummy has always complaint that Pepper is a hyper active furkid...Ma..wait till you see Little Bella, then you'll know that Pepper has been very good girl already :p Nevertheless, Pepper and Little Bella had fun chasing around in the house, bumping into the big beanie bag together...weeeeee !!!

After tired been chasing around by little Bella, it's time for Pepper to attend Pepper's appointment with Uncle Nicholas in Pets Icon. It's time for "THE HAIR CUT"...kekekeek..Guess how Pepper looks like now? Mummy is very very please with the outcome and has set Pets Icon as Pepper's one and only grooming studio.

So here's Pepper's new hair cut picture...

Try to compare the one taken with little Bella in the morning...Pepper is now 50% smaller in size compared to previously. See...Pepper told you so...Pepper is not FAT, Pepper "was" just fluffy..kekekeke.

Now Pepper feels so light, and it's heaven in the air-con room...Pepper is so so so happy today. Woof woof ^^

p/s: ooh..ooh..and guess what, Pepper is now having a Poodle's look alike tail :p

[Pepper's Diary] Welcome to "My" Blog ^^

2010-04-23T01:34:00.000-07:00

Woof Woof, welcome to Pepper’s Pawsome Treat House. This is not just a place where my Mummy sells those irresistible treats, but it is also going to become Pepper’s personal blog to share Pepper’s daily rants and blahs with the doggie friends out there.

Enough of introduction and lets get to some serious “discussions” :p

Weather is turning hot recently, do you all feel the heat? Pepper is getting grumpy even in the air-con room. All “thanks” to Mummy for keeping my fur so long. According to Mummy, she wanted Pepper to have this “Mohawk” hair cut, so she’s been keeping Pepper’s hair for 2 ½ months. I guess that Mummy sometimes forgotten that Pepper is a female doggie and Pepper does not need to look “cool”.

Serve her right, Mummy is now feeling the pain of keeping Pepper looks like a fur ball as she needs to spent more time in bathing Pepper and grooming Pepper after that. Not just that, the amount of shampoo used is draining her wallet dry. Mind you, Pepper is not FAT ok..Pepper is just getting too fluffy, that is why Mummy needs more shampoo to clean Pepper up. :p

So guess what, Pepper is going for grooming tomorrow in Pets Icon, NZX !!! Hooray, bye bye to thick curly fur (which always make other doggie Mummy said Pepper is FAT & HUGE).

[Look at my messy messy furball look...]

p/s: Mummy still insisted on the “Horse” cut..Pepper prays hard that Pepper won’t look ugly after grooming. After all, Pepper still needs to attend BunBun’s birthday party on Sunday morning ^^.

Woof,

Pepper Soo
