I have been wanting to update this blog for a long time but couldn't.The Voices Within keeps me very busy and i have decided to close this blog for good. I am not deleting the blog. I have not transferred the content to the Voices Within as well. Perceptions of an ambivert will remain here but will not be updated.

I know it's tough but i have no other go. Check out my new dwelling place on the blogosphere: The Voices Within.

I thank all my friends who have stood by me and without who i wouldn't be where i am.

The Voices Within has been launched at last , on August 20th, Friday 2008. And i can't be happier!I extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have supported me directly or indirectly.

Well, i had first announced that the voices Within will be a group blogging venture. But due to unavoidable circumstances, i had to change my plan at the last. The Voices Within will be my personal domain from now on and that doesn't of course mean i'll desert my first home on the blogosphere. Now that i am nearing my 200th post, i am very happy to announce that this blog will function as usual and will carry updates and happenings in my life. Well, stuff at the voices within will be more serious and will make you think. This is the basic difference.

Today is certainly the happiest day of my life. Well, I sincerely thank Mr/Ms Anonymous who has given me a great tip and has provided very honest feedback. I really appreciate him/her for the deed. I am not being satirical people. I am being very serious. Now i know what it takes to be a writer. I mean, this has like, definitely given me new ideas and i thank the person from the bottom of my heart. Thank You,Anonymous!

What Anonymous provided as a general feedback really made me think.
Like most people, i am not the type to say i don't care what people say, at least in this case. I am very glad this person stopped by to say i needed to improve to become a Good Writer. From this i happen to notice that people want me to become good. I am genuinely touched!

Well, though such suggestions/feedback usually makes me feel good, i will be happier if the person discloses his name. Why fear when you know when you right and have a point?I, personally, don't think i will post such a comment as an anonymous person. I will surely let my presence known.So, the next time you provide feedback or comment, please disclose who you are , so that i will have the satisfaction that the person who says this is worthy of gratitude and respect. Please don't post anonymously.

People, i know i have been ignoring my dear blog like anything!And my Alexa ranking has come down to 6 lac something from 3 lac something.I also know i have been ignoring blog networking sites like Mybloglog and Blogcatalog. A close friend of mine introduced me to spamming when i was 15 and from then on, i have been spamming!You'll be amazed if i put forward the fact that i have 1234567 spams, as on date. I have also received the "Best Spammer Award" for 5 years in a row, now. Well, every parent wants her kid to have a cute name and i had one too but i thought i should sacrifice my name and get one that is related to my field of operation. Thus the name Spammie.

Your magazine "Spammers Digest" is already a big hit!Now, Who inspired you to start something unique like this?

SS:I got the idea when i was 21.When i was young, i didn't know the tactics of spamming on weblogs and websites. I spammed on every blog i could see and that brought me a very bad name. So i decided to start venturing into something like this which will teach novices the art of Spamming. It also has information on where to spam and articles that throw insight into Spam Engine Optimisation. I have a team of successful spammers and SEO experts without whom i wouldn't be where i am!

Well, Frankly speaking, i have got no role models. I am my own role model.

Can you please tell us about your forthcoming book "Spamming to Success"?

SS:I success i had with the magazine urged me into coming up with the book "Spamming to success". It will hit the stores soon and is expected to create waves in the history of spamming. I am sure it will be in the New York times bestseller list. I request all spammers to buy the original book and not the pirated version. Believe me, the book is a trasure and to put it inn a nutshell, it has articles like "101 reasons why you should SPAM", "111 websites and blogs where you should SPAM", "50 websites and blogs where you should never SPAM" and "What makes a SPAMMER special".

Not many bloggers support spamming and i am touched and amzed beyond words by your generosity.I don't usually give interviews.This is a rare case. The Voices Within-Updates and News

The Voices Within is active and up but will be launched in a few days' time. I really am having a great time with wordpress and have started loving it so much so that i have started adoring the plugins and everything. I am doing everything in a trial and error basis and learning things and should say it's absolute fun!

Well, you will now be able to see the morning after theme that adorns the group blogging venture. I have selected it after previewing a million themes, believe me!The theme is plain awesome!

So, you can't wait to know when it will be officially launched?Worry not, i'll let you know!Don't forget to check back for updates!

How to lose weight safely

There are reasons why you might want to lose those extra few pounds. As a fitness freak, i make it a point to exercise at least for a half hour each day. But at times, when life becomes hectic, i don't follow the routine. And at those times, i used to wonder if there were any simple ways. Recently, a friend of mine suggested diet pills and at first, i was quite apprehensive and wasn't quite sure if i should use them. I tried finding information from a lot of sites but they didn't help me. On the contrary, they confused me and made me look upon them as dangerous. When i thought i wouldn't waste my time on this further, i found what i wanted, to know at last, about the diet pills. The site gives a detailed list of the diet pills present and if they can be used. I personally feel that the safest and the quickest way to lose weight is using these pills which are also safer. Please let me know what you feel about this.

This post for all of you who wondered to me!I am back again, with a good news. For those who have been waiting too long for the launch of The Voices Within, this is good news. I have at last chosen the right webhost to host my group blogging venture. I must now point my domain nameservers to the hosting servers and that's it. Guess it will take a few more days. A few days for selecting the right theme, adding plugins and other things. You may expect it next week or so. It has been a long time now and i know it really is frustrating, but believe me, everything happens for a reason!:)

I happen to really very busy with my college symposium work. I happen to be the Treasurer of the symposium and life's goddamn hectic!But i am not ignoring my basic duty-blogging which is why i am here to apologise!

And one other reason why i have not not been blogging regularly is Plurk, a microblogging site!I am now a complete Plurkmaniac!I will write about Plurk in detail when i write the sequel to "The Microblogging Era". Catch me on Plurk now!(This is no affiliate networking,people!lol)

Hate was not the word that she felt when she first met him. It was something more.Yet, she loved him. If her mind gave her repeated commands to hate him, her weak heart wanted her to love him. The more she wanted to hate him, the more she loved him. Without her knowing it. But deep inside, she knew what was happening and she tried her best not to push herself too bad. But couldn't .Something made her overlook his insanity and pride. He was not what she thought he was. Yet she loved him. Loved him in a sense she couldn't discern. If hating someone so strongly was called love,then she was loving him.

Now, solitary in her luxurious room that spoke volumes of her opulence, she tried not to think of the past. Yet, her mind wouldn't let her stay focussed. It was a kaleidoscopic vision and everything buzzed in, forcing her to shut her long eyelashes. Her egoistic mind and soul wouldn't want her thinking about the choice she had made. She kept mum, looking at nothing and yet, at everything all the while letting out small gasps of air. Her sensuous mouth was parted.When she felt hot tears gliding down her cheeks, all she did was keep still. She wanted to do nothing and yet, everything. But her body and soul were too proud that they wouldn't give the lachrymal glands full power. Her lips trembling and her stance too proud to let the world know she was what others were not, she rose with a sudden vigour that her whole body shuddered. She was not going to fall in this feeling what others termed as love. If she had been too severe on herself, she didn't show it. She was just her usual self again. She laughed out loud and the shrill cries emanated, ending up in a sudden burst of energy that made her feel claustrophobic. She was not going to feel anything for anybody. She repeatedly told herself and she wished she followed what she had in mind.

Violet couldn't watch the film anymore. What kind of a film had literally no dialogues?All right, it was her first film and she had thought it would be a blockbuster hit. She thought of the one name that she thought would make people flock to the theatre. Dylan McWright-the director.Dylan-the Legend. But she was wrong. And she had actually cried when she knew later on that the film was a box office disaster. She cringed inside and never wanted to be seen by people. A boisterous lady that she was, she couldn't but help being inside. She vowed never to act in a movie, as long as she was alive. This made her laugh even more. But in her hearts of hearts she knew that this had happened for a reason and the very thought that Dylan-the legend had actually proposed marriage to her, still made her blush to the roots of her auburn hair. It was a privilege. Dylan was still a hot property among girls and any girl would have said yes, under the circumstances.But she had not yet accepted to be his 'prospective' bride, not because of the reason that he was 50 and she, 20, but, for the reason that she was in love with 'him', the insane creature who she reportedly hated in the dumb movie. And Violet wanted to kill Dylan for not letting them even have a mild conversation in the goddamn movie, let alone have intimate scenes. But she didn't care about the movie anylonger, she and her him were going to unite in real life and that was all that mattered to her.

Simce when did i start microblogging? don't really remember. But i can tell you something. Ever since i started microblogging, i have been a prolific blogger. For those of you who don't have the faintest idea idea as to what microblogging is, follow this link.

The 3 mistakes of my life!

People, ia m really fed up with the way indian authors spoil writing in the name of humour. I had earlier written about that a few months back.Well, recently i got a book from my cousin and heck, i couldn't read beyond a few pages. Well, you might all be intrigued who that author would be. It's Chetan Bhagat. If he thought his book were funny, i am sorry, it was not!He was good, if not better in his earlier novels but he's turned all stupid in his latest book, "The 3 mistakes of my life".While many seem to enjoy the novel, i don't. And as a reader of genuine humour, it makes me feel really very very bad and angry. Why spoil something thinking it would amaze people?Uh, huh!

If you thought i were doing this just for publicity, i don't really care. As a critic and a voracious reader, i know better as to who writes awesome stuff. Do i care if Chetan writes about sex as a scared thing or a casual thing?I don't ,really!Am i all victorian and conservative?Nope, i am not!I wouldn't call myself as that. Then why do i hate it?I don't know is the simple answer?Or am i opinionated?I don't know!And i don't care!~Period~

I am not berating all Indian authors, mind you. I might not have had the pleasure to read many authors but i request people out there to read sensible novels and not go behind flashy-gashy stuff. Please!

Well, the three mistakes i made in my precious life are

Reading Anurag Mathur's "The department of denials"
Reading Chetan Bhagat's "The three mistakes of my life"

Writing about this to reform people, well aware of the fact that that would not be possible. But i'll try, anyway!You can't stop me!

If people reckon the Chetans and Anurags of the world as being realistic and hilarious, what would they call Thomas Hardy s , RK Narayans and Somerset Maugham s of the world?Damn, why am i comparing those legends with these people?Perhaps i am wrong!Perhaps i shouldn't expect this much from these people or perhaps i am insane in the whole sane world which loves such humor or perhaps, whatever!

The road ahead

It's been about a month since i blogged and i was growing increasingly hypochondriacal!Well, yes, you guessed it right!I was busy(as always) and was preparing for my campus recruitments. Well, i have got placed in TCS(Tata Consultancy Services), a software company based in India and is spread across 47 countries.TCS is a member of the TATA group and it goes without saying that i am excited and thrilled!TCS was the first company that came to our college and of 860, they selected 170 and odds and i am proud that i am one among them.

Well, i actually had 3 rounds. The first was the aptitude round to test people's aptitude skills and the second, the Technical/HR round. The third's the MR (Management review) round. I just loved the technical interview part and i can't forget the experience and the fun i had, all my life.

First of all, I would like to thank God for his endless blessings and then, my folks, who have stood by me thru difficult times. And i would like to thank all who have directly or indirectly supported me and have been a constant source of inspiration.

Well, i really owe a lot to this friend of mine who is plain awesome. Well, to cut a long story short, she came to my college to train us and i saw a great friend in her. We shared common interests and she sent me a mail following a mail sent her, informing her of my placement. Just click on the image to view it big.

It's high time we all did something to save the awesome language!Or, there are chances that the language would become extinct(nearly) in the near future. I request everybody out there to write a post on this and spread the "Save English" Campaign!The rate of deterioration is fast and we all must do something about it before the intruders succeed!Well, you may all wonder as to why i am giving this much of an importance!But people, this is serious!I am giving a few instances to let you know how the 'terrorists' advance day by day.While the article is meant to be satirical, it is not altogether fictitious.

A is a not-so-great friend of mine who i met recently at a friend's place. She is a beauty without brains and is plain stupid,to put it frankly. The dull conversation went thus:

A:Hey R, how are you doing?It's been ages since we met!What do you do now?

Me:Hi A, i have been doing blah, blah, blah!

A:Know what?I am going to do my MS soon. I am taking my GRE classes now. Do you have any plans to do your MS, lady Shakespeare?

Me:(Irritated and annoyed by the nickname she had used. Had it been uttered by any other person, i wouldn't have minded. But the sardonic grin said it all.)No, in my humble opinion, GRE is a waste of time!(in my arrogant opinion,lady!)

A:(she gives me a not-so-friendly smile and continues)Hey R, i didn't know you even exist!Why didn't you come for my sister's marriage?

Me:(Whoa!so much for gre!it's existed,you moron!And you never cared to tell me that you had an equally stupid sis. Your parents are lucky souls)Oh, i happen to be very busy and would have been busy at the time of marriage (unlike you). I trust your sis does well.(do i care?)

A:Yea, she does. She's in Australia now(beams)Guess what?I went on a casual tour there and it was awesome!You should go there someday!(grins from ear-ear)

Me:That sounds cool!(yes, as simple as that)But i didn't forget to notice the stress on the word 'tour' which was a wrong pronunciation.She said tour like people say boar and soar.It's to-ur!

A:(obviously disappointed)hmmm, i have become a veracious reader nowadays!I have read all Dan Brown's works and am very gay!

Me:Oh, that's pretty good.(Since when did you start being truthful, the noun that doesn't exist in your lexicon?I wanted to say voracious, but held my tongue. Playing the i-am-dumb role is fun at times.So, you are gay, uh?I thought so)I happen to be a vuh-racious reader too!Since when did you start reading books?

A:Hmm,firstly,i read "Pride and prejudice" and thought i should read more books and that was a year and a half back.I have read a dozen books from then on. I have even red each and every book of Dan Brown!

Me:(Firstly?Each and every?OMG!I can't stand this!And she says she is doing her GRE!I almost wanted to say 'it's first' and 'it's either each or every:not both')Oh, that's great to hear!

A:(Angry and disappointed that i didn't praise her)Oh, ok, R, alright!We'll meet sometime later.I got to go real fast now. I am enthused that i have met you.Anyways, bye!

Me:(Freedom, at last) Sure, We'll meet sometime soon(and the day shall never come.i didn't know if she knew it but alright is not a word. I hoped she meant 'all right'.And also, the fact that real is a very weak substitute for 'very', which also happens to be a weak word. I don't think you lose anything when you say 'anyway' which is the correct word!)Bye, A, i had a jolly good time with you!(i trusted she know this was the way 'jolly should be used.)

Ok, people, i might have sounded very prejudiced in the above conversation but have no qualms, whatsoever. Taking GRE classes and using those words just for attention, is a base thing.Why use complex and pretentious words just to let people know you are a GRE geek?There are many out there who use unnecessary words in everyday conversation. Knowing them is one thing and using them in the midst of writing is another, but doing something just for the pomp of it will ruin the beauty of the language. And the next time you hear a person use words like this or speak words like firstly and secondly, tell them they are wrong. It's not wrong to make mistakes, everybody does mistakes. But what matters the most is learning from them.

I am requesting all bloggers out there, especially indian bloggers to write not to attract attention with your GRE words, but to love what you do-write.Use simple sentences and don't go for glitz and pomp. While most are proud that they have a great vocabulary, they don't quite care about the basic grammar and the pronunciation.I have a million instances to point out, but that would be beyond the scope of this blog post.So, i guess the above words will make you realize the truth.

I didn't write the above article to tease anyone in particular. Sadly, most think having a great vocabulary is what matters. Sorry to say, it doesn't. The use of words like 'scurrilous', ''irascible' , 'velleity', 'ineluctable' , 'uxorious' and the like will give the attention you badly want , but that won't last long. Of what use is an essay or an article that can't be understood by people?If you really want to exhibit your talent , then specify the meanings below your post or place hyper links that link to an online dictionary website. Think about this!

You might be surprised by the topic which says "How to look happy 24/7?"I specifically wrote that because the hectic life we are leading and the problems that constantly arise out of nowhere perturb us to quite a great extent and spoil our nervous and digestive systems. No human can be without worry. worry comes naturally to people and tough times are a must. You can't always go on a smooth road. That will make the adventure a sloppy one. There's ultimately no thrill in leading a monotonous life. How to face problems and lead a happy life is what matters.We'll see the common traits of happiness and delve into it further.

The first and the Golden rule to look and be happy is "not to expect from people".When you expect something and it doesn't happen,you go all angry and restless and worry which will ultimately ruin your happiness.By saying this, i don't mean to say that you have to be detached. Just accept people the way they are and stop being cynical.Keep in mind that everyone does mistakes.And that you are the only one who's perfect. You know better than to believe something stupid like that. Nobody's perfect. Everyone does mistakes. Learning from mistakes is what matters at the end. If someone makes a mistake next time, tell it to him in a refined manner and don't dominate. You will never be loved if you dominate others. They might feign affection if you do.

You are worried abut this problem and can't come to a conclusion. You badly want to put an end to this and start concentrating on some other issue. But goddamn it, you can't seem to think of anything but the thing that bothers you. Happens to all people. But aren't you supposed to know the success formula for this?Yes, when you are really affected by something and can't seem to find a solution,I would strongly suggest doing self-hypnosis.As a person who knows the benefits and the tranquility self-hypnosis gives, i would say that it's a must-do exercise for people.Now, what are you waiting for?

Now, over to the topic of stress busters. Reading books is the best of all. Read books especially that make you think and inspire you. Also, write. Writing and blogging come close to the first option. Whenever you are angry over something or say, worried, take a paper and write down everything that comes to your mind.After venting out your anger, just tear the paper to a hundred pieces and feed it to the garbage. I personally follow this method. Or maintaining a personal journal or an e-journal should also do. There are many websites offering free personal journals. Opt for the one you like and start emoting!If you happen to be a painter or have any activities that involve your full interest, do it. But don't cry. Many people believe that crying is a stress buster. It's NOT a stress buster.It accentuates stress.It also lowers your self-confidence and develops negative attitude without your knowing it.So the next time you see someone crying, tell him to read this article!:)

The last and the most important is "Don't punish yourself by inflicting pain on your body". Sadly,most of the people i know have attempted suicides in the past , but thank God, have not been successful. Do you think you can do justice to you and your problems by dying?I know how much courage it takes, to even attempt suicide.When you have that kind of a courage that drives in a negative path, why not transform the courage to the right path and live life amidst thorns?It is NOT easy, i agree, but not give it a chance?You never know what happens the next moment. So, please don't attempt suicide and inflict pain on your body!This was not what you were born for. You are born to achieve.

Just repeat the following sentences aloud and practise them in front of a mirror!

"I was not born to cry"
"I was born to achieve"

and not sentences like

"I don't really care what people think of me"
"I am the best"

These portray negative attitude and egotism and might make you aggressive and dominating.People who can read minds can easily understand that your inferiority complex makes you speak like that!

I had been wanting to write this article for a long time now. Fortunately, i got the time to write it between my study sessions. This might not cover all the points, but is certainly enough to make someone happy.

Why does Intense Debate bug me?

I have been using Intense Debate(the commenting system on my blog) for a long time now and i must say i am not all that satisfied with their service.. The first time i had problem , i asked the query to the guys in their forums and i got no proper response.I wouldn't leave it at that. SO i kinda pestered them and a particular guy there asked me to send him an attachment of my template which i did, accordingly.I got no reply from him whatsoever and he never bothered to even send a "I am sorry" note.This is what i hate in people. Why are people able to take accolades easily and why do they hate any problems?Why do people shun away from responsibilities?I don't really understand..Is this Human beings' common trait?hmm, whatever!

Okay, now please tell me if you guys like the commenting system. Based on the comments here and the poll i am going to place on the sidebar, i'll decide and will try to revert to blogger comments. Please have your say on this!
