Woke up yesterday and convinced the family that heading to the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn would be a good idea.  The fair was on Father's Day weekend in past years, so I hadn't been able to attend since the kids were little (and purchased a beloved Mr. Pickles.)  Six years ago!  My daughter was particularly excited and for some reason was able to costume herself immediately into a Brooklyn hipster outfit.  She has an uncanny skill for costumes.  She was wearing white faux glasses and looked right at home.

My husband found a T-Shirt from the Huntington Baseball Company.   They hand-make baseballs, gloves and bats that look old school.  Perfect gifts for men!

We crossed over to the Brooklyn Flea, but everyone was a little tired and sun burned at that point, so we decided to zoom home for sushi.   A fun Sunday!

 

 

 

So many have asked, so here you go!

Was wandering in NYC yesterday and walked by Fishs Eddy's and stopped in my tracks.  They had a window display showcasing sample china plates from Syracuse China.

Before producing plates they would cast a sample to check color and placement, and then show the client.

I loved them!  Combines so many of my antiquing loves: dishes, antique writing, industrial, one-of-kind items...

I found a few salesman samples on ebay.  

But they were pricey! and none as amazing as these.  So I'm on the hunt!
