ISEA, the International Symposium on Electronic Art initiated in 1988, is the world's premier media arts event for the critical discussion and showcase of creative productions applying new technologies in interactive and digital media. Held biannually in various cities throughout the world, this migratory event is being held in Asia for the second time in its history, after Singapore successfully secured this bid.

This symposium consists of three aspects of peer reviewed conference, internationally juried exhibition and various in-conjunction and partner events. ISEA2008 is proud to announce an Artists In Residence programme supported by the National University of Singapore that will run for the year leading up to the 2008 Symposium.

Nikon D700 spy shots and info piling up

Spy shots of what could be the Nikon D700 have been floating around for a while now, but it's only today that we've gotten a full-on body shot of the DSLR. Rumored specs basically paint the unit as a D300 body with the D3's FX sensor crammed inside, and there's speculation that the lens pictured is an upgraded version of Nikon's AF-S 24-120mm VR unit. We're also hearing that it'll be introduced in August and go on sale in December for $3300, but that's all speculation until this thing actually hits.

Sifoo.com, a well known Malaysian web portal online community focusing on graphic and multimedia resource with a tagline "Sumber Grafik / Multimedia Malaysia" in cooperation with Galeri Shah Alam (GSA) are organising a Photography Contest with a theme: 'Malaysia Architectural Heritage'.

It is open to all Malaysians and the contest exhibition will be held at Galeri Shah Alam. This event aim to create society's concern, awareness and appreciation on the local architectural heritage, as well as to cultivating the understanding of art photography. The story revolves around a young, buoyant man named Willow. In Willow's world, anyone who doesn't fall in love by thirty will be affected by the JooJoo and dies. Therefore, the people in Willow's world are obsessed with falling in love and getting married (since it's crucial to avoid death). At the early part of this story, people only know that there's a law that requires them to marry by the age of 30. Since the law has been followed so long, it became a culture, and has never been broken. But since marriage is forced upon the society, it became a "tool" so divorce cases are at large. Willow, is a victim of this dark chain reaction (his parents divorced and left him when he was still an infant), making him despise and hate the law. This is a tale of his quest to rid this world of the law and to right the wrong.
