Prince Hotel’s Chinese New Year Fortune Set

Once again we had the honour to taste Prince Hotel’s latest promotion, featuring the CNY2010 Fortune Set at the award-winning Chinese restaurant, Tai Zi Heen!

Yin Yang Yee Sang (Tune Salmon Rotoulade) was obviously the number 1 to start with, beckoning wishes to be granted as we mixed the these ingredients together.

After the preparation is done by our dear waitresses, the only thing left to do is to..

Share the joy while making wishes during the process of “Lou” which means to mix the Yee Sang! I don’t know what Esther is wishing for, but it must be great looking at her happy face!

As for me, this was my maiden Yee Sang session, and rightfully so since there’s no where else I want to break my Yee Sang virginity… I’ve really started to build a fondness for Prince Hotel, their ever lovely staff and of course, my beloved seasonal parking space for only RM110 a month!

Braised Pearl Shark Fin with Fish Maw in Supreme Golden Broth was next up in the menu and boy was it so darn tasty!

Here take a look at the Shark Fin.. it’s so refined and of course, ORIGINAL! I tell ya I couldn’t have enough of it even if I wanted to!

So what’s next? The Braised fried oysters with Fatt Choy, Mexican Soy Clams, Sea Cucumber and wok-fried greens of course, to signify green money!

My all time favourite though, was the Steamed Cod with Pickled Radish and Garlic in Supreme Soy Sauce! Utilizing the “Chai Poh”’s (Pickled Radish) saltish sweet taste and combined with some spices with the fresh, yummy cod fish was probably one of the most fantastic experience ever!

Deep-fried Batter-dipped Prawns tossed with Fresh Lime Dressing was. the. bomb! At first I thought they tasted like Salted-Egg Prawns, before I realized that lingering tangy taste that sent explosions into my mouth!

Braised Duck with Dried Fish Maw and Dried Scallops. Well. At this stage, you know you can’t resist the calling to eat, and throw all signs of dietary plans. FML.

Last but not least, we had Fried Rice with Seafood and baby Abalone where you just can’t help but stare at those abalones. Surprisingly, though, they add value to the fried rice which I enjoyed very much

Finally, Hasmah with red dates and Glutinous Rice Dumplings to end the day. Looks heavenly, no?

Well, it is.

So that is, ladies and gentlemen, Prince Hotel’s famous Chinese New Year Fortune Set. For the kind of class and experience you would get in fine dining, this set is pretty reasonable with a price tag at RM1188 per 10 person. You’d probably want to bring only those who you really love though, money after all isn’t grown from trees.

As for me, I’d definitely bring my nucleus family, for everything they’ve done to get me where I am today. I shall pay them back in all exquisiteness, flowing with a first class charmed Chinese New Year!

Ok I lied. It’s cause this Tai Zi Heen serves one of the bestest Guo Ling Gou herbal jelly I’ve ever sinked my teeth into… Yummy pandan waft eminating from it, pieces of sago and sea coconut lending the sweetness to our firm jelly covered in light syrup… OMG I WANT ONE NAO!

Is there anything more joyous than laughing with our loved ones in a cozy reunion dinner? Absolutely not. House of Tang believes firmly in the good spirit of homecoming children especially in these seasons and I swear, they know just how to make it even warmer! Follow on for a visual journey inside the House of Tang with me

Firstly the place itself, located at Bangsar One just up the hill as you enter Jalan Ara, is in actual fact a converted bungalow. It is complete with a garden and a beautiful patio for outside dining. I’ve just confirmed that you can book off the whole place for any functions that you may want. This is their first step in creating a homely feel when you actually dine in the House of Tang.

This time Esther was brought in along with us. It would have been perfect if she was dressed in a Cheong Sam, no? In any case, I’m sure to make a reservation solely based on the interior and exterior design of the building. Chinese, being who they are, are easily impressed with such a beautiful design before attending to their dinner

Cards? Mahjong? Feel free to do so here at House of Tang. Made to be cosy and also spacious, the place fan fit families of all sizes.

If you’re observant enough, you’ll notice all kinds of beautiful and breathtaking details, specially designed to calm your thoughts, and only extract joy out of everyone. It definitely helps with extended families meets, when sometimes problems may haunt the members of the family. Water and serenity = zen.

As you enter you’ll notice the festive moods soaring within you, thanks to willow trees and overall Chinese New Year decor.

Lively fishes are also reared and placed near the front door to invite life into the surrounding mood. Like what Feng Shui master Joey Yap says, it’s not the number of fish that matters, it’s the water level.

You can enjoy your meals from the House of Tang’s garden area, living area, private rooms, and dining area, upstairs or downstairs. In this case we’ve had our reservations upstairs where there were tables ready for us.

As soon as we were seated, we could feel the joy sinking into our hearts, releasing them off all worries and troubles. At the end we were all talking animatedly over the ambience, lighting, decorations and such. It was amazing.

Friends and family makes the bulk of visitors here. The cozy warmth elopes everyone as we got to know each other. But in the end, we were here for the food, so that kept us really excited.

The Salmon Yee Sang with Crispy Shredded Treasures in Plum Dressing comes with Salmon slices and Top shell. Of course, if you want to change the ingredient to suit your style, House of Tang will be able to assist you. Just call them up!

It was truly a sight to behold. The waitress who were amicable and pleasant throughout treated us to a visual display of Yee Sang preparation.

And here we are, the Yee Sang before it is “Lou-ed”. At this time, I think you can imagine how much we were eager to toss the Yee Sang for fortune, health and other miscellaneous bonuses, especially more food reviews!

Soon after we were presented with Shark Fin soup, but not just ANY shark fin soup.

Brilliantly presented inside a Winter Melon fruit, it doesn’t only smell heavenly but also created a gasp from all of us over the beautiful presentation!

And as for the soup, it was a delicious blend of real sharks fin and fresh crab meat inside superior broth. The clear broth was also infused with the sweetness of the winter melon to create a light soup, perfect to start the dinner.

Next to come wasn’t any other dish as well.

House of Tang Braised Pork Trotter

The Braised Pork Trotter was nothing short of tender. If the design wasn’t already world class, imagine the sight to behold as we made an incision deep into the braised meat, slicing oh-so-slowly to release the aromatic steam. Needless to say the sauce was equally tasty, and this made a wholesome tasty dish altogether!

And as usual, we have the signature prawn dish, called the

Japanese styles fleshy prawns (ming ha)

This is not your usual Tiger Prawns. Its succulent meat is so fresh and springy yet crunchy on the outside, and together with the salt and chilli made the delicacy a meal not to be missed!

Assam ‘Tom Yam’ Garoupa Fish

My most favourite dish of all! This simply exudes class by itself! The gravy is simply delicious and the fish, freshly cooked! I loved the gravy so much that I had to keep them in a bowl to eat with my rice. It didn’t stop there, I simply had to have my second rounds, or was it third?

Whatever it is, this not-really-appetizing picture on top become the major reason why I will come back to the House Of Tang. If anything, I’ve never tasted any other Assam fish just like this, and I would definitely make this a recommendation for everyone

香草燒焗雞
Baked Chicken with Herbs

A twist for the typical chinese set menu, we also had the honour to check out yet another signature dish as above. Tender fleshes and savoury sauce made of special blend of herbs made up for its normal design (at least compared to the others). Tasty!

Double Boiled Soup of the Day

We also had a round of soup to try, the usual ones you can find else where. Made without MSG (like the rest of the dishes too, mind you!) the soup was doubled boil just nicely, and you can clearly smell the distinct aroma from each of them.

However what stood out most was the Coconut infused herbal soup- the clear herbal soup is uniquely tinged with coconut flavours, supple and not too strong, such that it commanded the natural sweetness of all ingredients involved. Kudos for such a creative and essential idea!

French Beans with Preserved Olives and Minced Meat

The french beans, fried in “Wok Hei” turned out to be a very tasty vegetable dish, perfect for both kids and adults to enjoy. I probably enjoyed this the most as it wasn’t too oily and crunchy enough to my liking.

Special Homemade Layered Beancurd

The idea on how this dish came up was when the Master Chef Koh wanted to create something tasty yet without destroying the tofu as it is really tender. For instance, cooking it twice would have destroyed the beautiful texture it had. The result? Layered Beancurd that could dance with your tastebuds

東坡肉
Braised Pork with Soya Sauce

Now this dish was a little bit different compared to what I’ve tried before. The main difference was the Tangy Sauce that went with the fat-pork meat and steamed bun, which could prove to be too strong for others, and yet, amazingly tasty for the rest. I found it a little ‘hard’ at first, but thanks to the tender pieces of meat it eventually melted into my mouth, just like the rest of the dishes.

Yet another recommended dish! Clean, tasty and sometimes with an added “zhng” whenever you bite into the succulent pork belly. I’m actually serious :p

Glutinous Rice Dumplings with Sea Coconut in Iced Lemon Syrup

Finally we’ve reached the desserts! I thought we’d never get pass the main dishes to be honest, though I’m not complaining really :p In any case, the glutinous rice dumplings are so nicely done complete with sufficient fillings, really nice! Coupled with the sea coconuts and served cold it was the perfect way to end all 8-course menu!

The last of the last is then served, and for me I was too full at this point to fully appreciate this apparent masterpiece. A small bite tells me that it makes a great snack though, and so I tarpaoed some to take home for suppers snacking :p

‘Master Chef Koh‘ is the man of the day. For a man who designed all the dishes and presentation in the menu you see above, you’d think he’d be stuck up and be all prim and proper. However after we had our chances for photoshoot with him we realised that he loves to joke and always makes people around him feel at home. Esther here had a fun time taking a photo with our wonky chef

His singular focus is fixed at providing unsurpassed level of homey experience for the entire duration of your gathering, be it a dinner or lunch. And to be honest, I think he did all those pretty much amazingly. Look out for Chinese New Year promotions as per below!

Wawaweewa @ FHM Girls Next Door Finale Parteh!!

FHM Girl Next Door 2010 – What is it about?

Well I can’ t be bothered to explain, but one of the finalist here is none other than my colleague Katherine Ng! Seeing her look so beautiful up on the stage, I can’t help but feel the pride of being with her from the moment she settled down in KL from Australia up till now, knowing all the big names, being famous and popular and all that… All I can hope is that she won’t forget me after she’s made a name of herself!

Gorgeous ain’t she? And guess what: She’s an investment banker. Yea baby, an INVESTMENT BANKER! The other candidates may have come from their various background but this girl, Kat Ng, is all beauty and brains!

Well, not JUST beauty and brains though. I don’t think I need to elaborate, just don’t drool too much onto your keyboard :p

The TOP 4 finalist were chosen, unfortunately she wasn’t the the winner, but guess what… She’s forever a winner in my heart

It was Yvonne Sim instead, and given her bubbly nature I suppose it’s not very surprising is it?

There you go, FHM’s Girl Next Door 2010. Expect to see her photoshoots in magazine all around you.

All other candidates were winners too. Here they are getting something for dedicating so much time into this project done annually.

It’s a chance for average girls to come out and show the world who they are. Some did a good job, like Julia Moh and Jesmine Yap.

Then again I’m probably biased cause I only know these girls out of the rest… cause they are friendly!

Well Kat, always a winner I say. Thank God you decided to try this out even though knowing you were going to have a hard time juggling between work and this! Kudos

The girls all in a row. I know it may not be up to your standards, but it’s not easy being in these girls’ position. If you want to talk so much, why don’t you get out there and try it for yourself

Oh and I have to share this with you! Turns out that previous GnD finalist Kellie Yap knows about me when we got introduced by Esther, and I tell you I just melted lol! Well, that is, until you took so long to approve my Friend Request on FB la. I knew it was all a lie. Ok just kidding hehe, well met dear Kellie Yap!

Four Seasons CNY Poon Choi Set @ Capsquare

This year’s Chinese New Year started with a blast for me, even before it came! Thanks to Big Boys Oven we’ve been getting non-stop offers to go for CNY promotions almost every day, and today I will be sharing with you Four Season’s New Year Chinese “Poon Choi” Set (虎年盆滿鉢滿庆新春)!

Featuring the above, this is one dish that is very popular among the Chinese. In one look you can see that in the Special Four Seasons Hong Kong Style “Poon Choi” (文興金牌盆菜) there are Braised Chinese Mushroom, Sea Cucumber, Fish Air Bladder, Fried King Prawn, Garlic Dried Scallop, Dried Oyster Ball, Sweet & Sour Fish, Four Seasons Roast Duck (I know Boss Stewie would kill for this!!!) Crispy Pork, Garlic Chicken Leg, Dongfen (see-through thin noodles that is used to absorb all the mix juices at the bottom, TASTY!!), Chinese White Cabbage, Dried Bean Curd, Sweet Pea and Brocolli. Phew I thought it’d never end!

Before that, though, we were given Mixed Seafood in cabbage for appetizers. Yummy and crunchy, goes best with Chilli Oil, these little morsels only serves to whet your appetite for bigger main dishes!

Also we made sure we had cooling drinks after all the heaty (but super delicious) food we’d get with the “Poon Choi” set, as listed below. Beware: do not DROOL over your keyboard, Spinzer.uS will not be held responsible for the electrocution of yourself nor your laptop/desktop!

As shown above, the Special Four Season’s Poon Choi is delicious with the myriad of ingredients used. The sauces all mix to form the broth at the bottom where the glass noodles are, all soaked up to form the most delicious noodles you’d ever eaten, serious! Oh, before I forget you WILL get Fresh Salmon Yee Sang (七彩三文魚撈生) before having the “Poon Choi” as per the set meal.

Remember the Four Seasons Roast Duck that I’ve always mentioned before, the one found in London? Well, it may not necessarily be the same but the tenderness remains supple and delicious, just the way I like my duck to be. You won’t be getting this in the set meal, just showing you what is found in the Poon Choi dish!

You’ll also be finding these tasty morsels called Crispy pork in your Poon Choi dish. Again, this is just to show you how delicious looking they are served in pieces, so just imagine how’d it tastes like inside the amazing dish, mixed with other porky materials lol!

Now THIS, this tasty looking red-ish pieces of Char Siew (Roast pork), you won’t find in your Poon Choi dish, but you HAVE to try it, super tasty and comparable to some great ones outside! Ok I kid, it might not be in the Poon Choi dish, but you WILL find it in the featured dish below, found in the Set also…

Waxed Meat Rice in Hot Pot (瓦煲腊味飯). Made of Lap Cheong (Chinese Sausage), Lap Mei (Innards of the pig) and Char Siew all mixed into the Claypot and cooked like the Claypot Chicken Rice that you are fond of. And as you will be able to imagine, it’ll taste thrice as better…

Ken here shows us how it’s scooped into a rice ball, ready to be eaten. Are you imagining yourself eating it already? Yumm…

So what happens to the burnt pieces, you ask? I know some of you look forward to it… and rightly so, because you’d normally have it with Chicken Broth which the kind Four Seasons staff provided as well!

Have you not eaten it like this before? If you haven’t, then you don’t know how Claypot-cooked style food is usually eaten. See here, a bowl of chicken broth, then…

You add the burnt crispy rice (not too burnt though, cancerous!) and mix it up to get it soggy and absorb the flavours. Proceed to eat, and tell me if you like it or not!

Finally for dessert, the New Year Chinese “Poon Choi” set offers you a uniquely special dessert called “Double Boiled Sea Coconut with Soya Bean (豆漿海底椰)”. I don’t know about you but it’s the first I’ve ever tasted, and I can tell you it tastes good! Definite must try in this season of celebration…

You can find the New Year Chinese “Poon Choi” Set at Four Seasons, Capsquare for just RM338+ for 6 pax. For the Fresh Salmon Yee Sang, Poon Choi, the Waxed Meat Rice in Hot Pot and the Double Boiled Sea Coconut with Soya Bean, I thought it was pretty decent especially with the generous amount of portion given. Do give it a try if you haven’t, because though it’s not the same as its London counterpart, it’s still delicious nevertheless.

Malaysians are cool! Why? Cos we made Tali Tenang project a success!

The day started with us getting briefed by ZainHD of RandomAlphabets.com

It was a necessity that we remain calm at all times, especially when we’re about to tell everyone that we were meant to WALK from Bangsar LRT Station to Bangsar Sports Complex. And that’s one heck of a long walk!

The crowd came. It was about 200, well off the 700 who RSVPed for attendance, but it’s only to be expected. Then again we’d have some problems if it was more than 200, crazy mang!

Everyone came. I was so happy. Tekong was here. Flags waved. It felt really, really good

Everyone was so sporting. KJ the Yo-yo champion brought his many strings to join the fun as well, and boy was he grinning ever so cheekily! Oh and look at our RA shirt, nice?

I missed the long stretch of walk where everyone was in a line holding their strings, tied to each other cause I had to monitor the queue at the traffic junction, the most dangerous part of the walk. It was fine, though, and really heartening to see cars honking in approval and shouting their support along with us, who cheered back at them.

Then the 200 odd group was split into three routes into Bangsar Village to maximise the impact. The whole procession was so cool that we’d managed to pick up some passerbies to join us, and eventually crossed paths with each other. Joy was clearly to be seen!

As we cross the housing area towards the Sports Complex, cars a many slowed down to chat with us. Now this is what I call engaging with the public for a good cause!

We’ve finally done it! It was crazy and everyone had a RAD time!

Patriotism soared as I see all my beautiful friends, both young and old alike, gathering to join us for this amazing event called the #TaliTenang.

What is Tali Tenang? It’s a project created by a group called United Colours of Malaysia, supported by RandomAlphabets, and it was meant to show that despite many incidents which has occured throughout the month and past, we’re still cool and unfazed. All provocations have been nullified, and here we are, proving to the country that Malaysians of all age, race, religion, gender and believes can still walk together, hand in hand (or in this case, string to string)

It’s really very, very amazing to see these faces of pride for Malaysia. Notice that we had Marina Mahathir and family, prominent figures like Niki Cheong, Jules, Rina, influential twitterers like @theChannelC among the whole bunch of them and more that I can’t just mention in this sentence…

And whatever it is, do remember that everytime you complain and blame others when shit happens to you, STOP and think for a bit. (Thanks Andy and Felicia for being the models :p) It would be better if you actually take a stance, believe in it, and do something for Malaysia, however small, because we can make a difference, like what Tali Tenang did. We are the future of Malaysia, so don’t ever give up hope, because if we do, who else will rescue our beloved Malaysia when she needs us most?

#yorais – A Malaysian-made Twitter Trending Topic Story

So it all started when Dr Rais Yatim, Information Communication and Culture Minister of Malaysia made a statement (quoted via a Bernama piece and theStar), saying ‘Muslims must avoid being totally immersed in Facebook, Twitter’ thus exhorting Malaysians to be wary of the popular Internet services. Now what Rais did NOT know is how he’d become a mini-celebrity in Twitter, touted as the most viral social media tool ever to be created, within a span of 4 hours from when the hastag, “#yorais“, got formed.

A direct rise from 3pm to 4pm, 19th January 2010 to an even higher gradient line onwards. The viral effect is really an exponential force.

Malaysian tweeps all around the world of all race, religion and age got hooked into the hashtag #yourais so much that everyone was soon participating in what could seem to be an “orgy” of sorts. Friends and strangers alike pitched in their wit to form the best “quote” that best describes Rais’s fear for the social media tools, and soon, it became what we call a “Trending Topic“, as shown below.

To us Malaysians, it was an achievement of sorts, as it wasn’t an easy task to match up to other countries with giant populations such as our neighbours, the Indonesians. What more with a minister who does not support the use of social media in our lives commanding Information Communications of the country, no less.

As of 6.42pm the hashtag #yorais is the world’s 6th trending topic, only three below #Haiti, a world re-known phenomenon. In a mere half an hour, it got to 4th place as shown in the pic above. Just imagine the sort of interest this would place us at an international level, a blunder that would shame us as social media believers in the face of the planet.

LG’s LED LCD TV Launch @ Hilton KL

Some of us were lucky enough to be invited to the launch of LG’s latest LED LCD TV at Hilton, KL. As part of the media we got to witness a start of a new decade where flat screen TVs are a passé, while LED technology rises up as the next “in” thing to have.

I was pretty excited because this was something I was looking forward to, a price I would pay for such an amazing piece of technology. Fine, it may mean another one or two thousand extra for similar tv size- but who could resist this sexy product, oozing with glory and fame? It’s the TV of the future!

The few of us gathered together, ready to rumble. Simon just couldn’t wait to plug in the PS3 and play Final Fantasy 13 on the machine, that is, if he can even afford the system in the first place :p

As you enter the hall, I swear you wouldn’t be able to resist the sexy back of this 42 inch SL90QD. You’ll find that it has just about every interface available (supporting USB, Bluetooth and even DivX among others!) to plug into your existing system. Better yet, you’d be force to find better system to accommodate this piece of beauty here!

This picture is to prove how thin the TV is, compared to that beautiful LG Lady. Ok joke :p But seriously, if it wasn’t for the special anti-reflective glass covering the LED LCD screen, it could have been thinner than 2.9cm wide, and that’s very, very thin already! LED technology has made this possible, among other benefits

The whole theme of the launch centered around living borderlessly, hence the tag “Live)Borderless”. Smart I must say, and even the performance given during the launch emphasized much on the fact that due to the rich colours and amazing contrast ratio (3,000,000:1) even the pictures can come alive right out of the TV!

The official unveiling is done, and here we see LG’s LED LCD TV model number SL90QD (this one’s the 47” version, as compared to previous 42” above!) placed FLATLY on the wall, kinda like a picture frame. I think it beats Plasma TVs, don’t you too?

Here we have the VIPs (General Manager of LG, Product Manager) giving the thumbs up to the future of media, the introduction of HD quality images and videos to your very house via the Live)Borderless LED LCD TV series!

You’ll soon be hearing about this at every news station and magazines, including technical information that I can’t be arsed to type out here :p

Adele here either looks damn excited over the crystal clear images, or she could just be inspired by the presentation of the event as a whole, complete with lucky draws and a huge, scrumptious luncheon after the Q&A sessions. Kudos to the LG team for the well done job!

Craft Brews, proud to be non-halal

If this doesn’t make your mouth water, I don’t know what will! Presenting you the latest ultimate bar in town, also known as Craft Brews. They are so advanced that they even have a solid working Twitter account, so do FOLLOW them for LOTS of FREEBIES and DISCOUNTS!

Crafty Craft Brews offers beer connoisseurs a whole new drinking and dining experience, starting with their international microbrewery look, yet maintaing a chic, casual and cosy setting. Looking at the place, it probably fits around 45 people comfortably, perfect for a relaxing corporate evening out!

There’s also an additional space outdoors for those who prefer to wine and dine al fresco. It’s huge capacity outside allows for up to a further 88 seats in total. All will enjoy not only scrumptious non-halal food to go with their home-brewed beers, but the variety of these rare, unique unfiltered beers makes Craft Brews something out of the ordinary, at least in Malaysia!

Utilizing microbreweries around the region, Craft Brews serves up to four draft and 10 bottled beer selections, where two coloured beers from Singapore-based Reddot Brewhouse will be the Restaurant’s signature, premium beers. They are called the Monster Green Lager and the English Ale respectively, served fresh on tap, yum! But more on that later.

Oh did I tell you being invited also entitles you to a set of ingredients needed to brew your very own home-brewed beer, among other perks (ie LOOK AT MY VIP CARD!!!)

Of course, the Crazy Ones are here too. How could they not? Nigelais, Kellster and Yatz, at your service.

THEN THE MEGA POP CAME IN! Look at them beautiful towers… don’t you wish you own them? I know you do Well, at least Jessica does haha!

This is when the free flow starts and everyone sings in tune together

Food. OMG. NON HALAL FOOD. Let me try and decipher for you what’s in those plates:

1. Back Ribs – complete with three kinds of style: Honey Mustard, sweet Malt and Maple Glaze, or tangy and smoky Tex-Mex Hickory BBQ Sauce!
2. Caribbean Spice Chicken and corn cobs, served with yummy portions of home-made wedges (freaking good!!)
3. Lemongrass Butter Grilled Dory Fillet (halal, but nevertheless yummylicious!)
4. Lamb Shank. Word.

The foodies, Ah Bok, Sloppy Chic and BBO also came. It was a meat-crunching galore I tell you, nothing was safe with them around!

April Yim decided to get something different. Here’s the Scampi Aglio Olio pasta which was pretty good. Luckily we were too full otherwise we’d have their desserts which sounded pretty yummy to us! Read:

1. Chocolate-filled Banana Fritters
2. Cinnamon Apple Pie
3. Papaya and Grape Melange
4. Premium ice cream flavours~!

The aformentioned #porkgang, who wiped the servings clean. Thanks guys.

Look at the colouriffic glasses, awesome pawesome aren’t they? You’ll also get a good look at April Yim’s lips here, now don’t go getting any thoughts hehe…

The day was later spent with some games among others, with free vouchers to give out. Here’s Shaolin Tiger doing the tasting test… and I don’t think he got it right, not with the number of beer selections that was available! I swear I could taste the Spirulina though, which is the ingredient contained in the Monster Green Lager, which is, well, green.

It was truly a fantastic evening for us, thanks to the people at @craftbrews for having us around. It was kind of the first time seeing different groups of blogosphere all congregating at the same place. I will surely visit this place again

And if you do visit it, do call me along! Why? Cause i have this pretty awesome VIP discount card that allows me 30% discount on food items! (not on drinks, sorry ) and best of all, I’m supposedly the only one that has the card that’s valid till 31st of December 2010!! How cool is that haha… not even the REAL beer drinkers nor the #porkgang has them. *does the victory dance

Alamanda’s A Callin’ – Part 2: The Rock Climbing

After our sumptious breakfast and shopping session, we then headed to the Putrajaya Challenge Park at Precinct 5 for a rock climbing session at Putra Climb where we sweated it out with a morning workout. The Putra Climb is currently the largest indoor climbing gym in Asia which had been recently opened and charges really reasonable fee for equipment rental! Just to show you how excited we were…

So excited that some of us did the smashpOp jump ie MynJayz (muka fail :p), smashpOp and JonYKT himself !(all who’s blogs recently got featured in theStar2!)

The walls were super daunting, but that also depends on what level you are able to do. For instance, Purple is pretty difficult compared to the white one…

The instructor will be there to give you a set of rules.. which consists of two rules really. Yes, contrary to popular belief, rock climbing is so easy that you don’t even need a license to do it!

Here you can see Honey Madu from Fly.fm and Belinda Chee being sporty enough to sign up. It’s going to be one hell of a time

Rebecca and Bangsar-Babe all looking good before the climb, as though as they didn’t think it’ll get sweaty and all that shit. Aih, girls will be girls :p
