Wow so now we have Barack Obama, the neophyte leader of a bankrupt, bloated and corrupt government bureaucracy “saving” a huge, bloated, bankrupt, incompetent auto company by partnering with the UAW, a huge, bloated, corrupt and incompetent union whose average member couldn’t spell it’s name if you spotted them 2 letters.

Will this combination turn out as the Three Musketeers; here to rescue jobs and our economy, or the Three Stooges?

Why is the answer to everything these days more of thing we don’t want?

The answer to too much government spending is more government spending; budget deficits is bigger deficits; the answer to too much debt is more debt; the answer to waste is more waste; the answer to too much regulation is more regulation; the answer to terrorism is to talk more to terrorists…???

Someone please enlighten us…

So according the Eric Holder our new Attorney General we are a nation of cowards.

According to the President it is our responsibility to bailout only those companies and government entities which lose money and the evil doers who default on their solemn loan obligations.

The only wasteful spending which could be found in the current budget was the military which despite being in the midst of 2 simultaneous wars, got a stimulous package payment in the form of a 10% cut.

Will They Ever Learn?

As we all know by now the US economy is doing poorly. The constant drum beat of media doom and gloomism never reminds us incessantly. Now having lived trhough 1973-74 and 1980-82 I do not agree that this recession is the worst economic era since they Great Depression, at least not yeat, but it is still pretty darn bad and scary.

That is why I am so disappointed by the sheer foolishness of many of the proposals coming from out leaders in Washington which they claim will help make things better. My favorite thus far is a recent Senate proposal which ptoposes tax breaks to buy cars and deductions for interest payments for those who finance their purchase. WILL THEY EVER LEARN!!!

Do these people not realize this is exactly the kind of thing that got us into this mess in ther first place? Consider, people are or are in fear of losing their jobs so they reduce spending, pay off debt and begin to save their money; all very prudent. Our government proposes a plan to stimulate the economy by borrowing for the people and forcing them to take on more of the very debt they are trying to responsibly pay off.

Better still as the automobile industry is having trouble and the American companies in particular near collapse do to over capacity, too many workers and reitrees being paid too much money and a glut of cars on the road, we will help save these jobs by making it easier for people to borrow money they don’t have or can’t pay back to buy cars they don’t want or need at cheaper prices than it costs to produce them to pay wages to people who are paid more than their jobs are worth? BRILLIANT!

If the Senators and Representatives currently serving in Congress really do represent us and what we want then I’m sad to say that collectively we are a bunch of morons.
