The financial news has been so depressing lately that looking at the headlines can make you feel ill. Falling stock prices, home values plummeting, and companies begging for money to stay afloat while you the consumer and tax payer get nothing.

I used to be a huge fan of The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, but since the economy took a turn for the worse so did the show. Before I get into how awful this show has become, let me tell you what it used to be in the good ol’ day.

It was a place to learn some tips and get fired up about being an entrepreneur.  The guest included some of the great business people of our time sharing some of the strategies that got them to where they were. The show made you feel proud to be an American, and confident that with dedication and hard work anything is possible. Today what a different tune the show has become.
