Using a daily regimen of visualization along with meditation requires two separate steps. The first is the way of reception, commonly referred to in the Dao as Yin. While relaxing, images should be allowed to come and go through the mind without picking or choosing. Allowing the thoughts to come and taking the initiative to accept them as they are is the first step to truthful and powerful visualization. The second step is an active form of visualization. Consciously picking images and ideas that are desirable allows the mind to act out and feel the goals that have been set by affirmations. Both of these methods eventually become second nature and allow the subject to use them at will or even without his knowledge.

Some may encounter problems with visualization in the form of fear of the self. The ability to look into oneself and have no fear of what there is to find is actually a somewhat rare gift. It is usually something that must be overcome and practiced before it is completely workable on a regular basis. A mental block can sometimes result without mentoring and the best way to defeat it is to visualize at a slower pace and use the image of a relaxing and calm place that is desired or exists in the past. Detail is the key at this stage, and one must imagine the “happy place” with every remembered scent, colour, and feeling that came along with it. Fears are only born of the things that are not confronted, and, once they have been faced, are usually defeated with the greatest of ease.

Process of Visualization

1. Set Your Goal
A goal that is believable must be chosen in order to ensure that the feeling of real possibility is accomplished. This must be something that could and should happen in the very near future if it is properly pursued. This kind of guideline can help avoid negative thoughts that distract the subject from himself, and attract positive feelings of success that are supposed to come from visualization. Something that is desired like a thing, occupation, or even a behavioural goal. With more visualization experience, more complicated and lofty images can be conjured to solve greater problems.

2. Create a Clear Idea or Picture
Present tense, as stated above, is the key to success when involved in meditation. Images should be produced as things that are already existing in reality, rather than hopes and wishes. The creation of a clear idea comes with specific details such as colours, feelings, sounds, and even smells. The five senses are the best source of a realistic picture. For fun, drawing a picture of what is actually desired can be a successful, albeit childlike, method of visualization. Sometimes the more childlike methodology can garner a strange success that stems from the wisdom of simpler times. Using images that one has created on paper can create a kind of stored sense of peace that can be looked at and re-used later.

3. Give it Positive Energy
Thoughts about a specific goal must be kept positive. Picturing oneself working to accomplish a predetermined goal that is special and important is encouraging. The best forms of meditation are something like becoming a cheerleader for the self, using affirmations to assure that the goals are within reach. Negative feelings must be removed from the mind and any doubt cleared with present tense ideas. As people grow, goals will change, so the only generalized sense of success that can be obtained is found within positive energy. When setting new goals for oneself, remember that every new goal can be changed without accomplishment, since it will not do to simply get stuck on something that will never be. Once a goal is accomplished, however, it is not correct to simply be satisfied and move on. It should be a celebration, a great day, and even commemorated. Working hard physically and mentally towards a goal that is finally completed is the one, true affirmation that sets up a positive habit. Success is the best motivator and promotes more achievement than anything that one can do with visualization.

Meditation and visualization is not the end of positive thinking. It is something that should be thought of every single day and not always while meditating. Positive daily affirmations and mental peace are great ways to pass the daily activities. If these thoughts manage to become a habit, goals will always seem to stretch closer and closer to reality, until nothing at all seems unreachable. An open mind is really the ultimate goal of any meditation enthusiast. It is important, however, not to obsess over one’s goals. Over-visualization and embellishment of ideas creates expectations that can only end in defeat. The most important skill of the seeker of peace is the ability to let things go.

Taking the time to make an affirmation about oneself on a daily basis is something that most do not realize be helpful. It is defined as a statement of the positive reality of something, be it an event, feeling, or object. The mind spends most of the day continuously “talking” and mulling over everything that is said or learned throughout the day. This repeated playing of events and details are important, but sometimes cause people to stray from what is reality by repeatedly mistaking the truth about these events. Most of the time these thoughts occur without any attempt to control or counteract them, resulting in very little gains.

Affirmations allow people to take control of the inner voice that constantly runs over our lives and can be done quietly, aloud, through writing, or even by chanting. Whatever is most comfortable for the meditation process and for the subject is what should be practiced. Ten simple minutes per day are all that is required to execute positive affirmations and counter years of destructive thought processes. Also, the more often a person is made aware of the inner voice’s activity, the more often one can control it and choose positive, progressive concepts to tell himself, resulting in the creation of a positive reality.

These affirmative statements can be anything as long as they are positive and able to be realistically believed. They can be generalized, or even very specific and aimed toward an event or concept that affects the subject very deeply. An example is as follows: “ Each and every day, in every single way, I am moving forward, forward, forward. All things come to those who wait, and I have waited long enough.” Some of the important things to remember about affirmations have been compiled her:

•	First and foremost, it must be acknowledged that the reality of life is produced first on the mental plane. Affirmations should, therefore, always be stated in the present tense, rather than the future. A statement like “I will get a brand new car” is not correct, since it sounds more like a hope or an expectation. It is more effective to say “my car is fantastic, and is the best in the neighbourhood.” This is not really a lie, but more of a positive way to align the thoughts with the reality that is desired.
•	Affirmations should always be brought forward in such a way that the goals are stated, not the aversion. For example, “I will eat a healthier lunch today.” Is much more effective than chanting “I will not eat at a fast food restaurant today.” This is because the positive goal was stated, rather than just a reminder of what sort of negative activity is to be avoided.
•	When an affirmation must sound negative in order to be more on task, it is necessary to follow it with a more positive secondary affirmation that outlines the specific goals required to accomplish what is desired. For example, “I do not need to run a red light to get to work today” can be followed by “I can be calm when driving.” This is most effective when trying to break down emotional blocks that get in the way of positive thought.
•	It is important to remember that what already exists cannot be redone or remade. Affirmations are used to create something new and exciting in life. Attempts to remake reality rather than make a new reality breeds conflict, since it is essentially a function of regret. An attitude of acceptance helps the mind to handle things that already exist in life by reaching down and giving birth to a new reality that lies in the future. Meditation and affirmations can make that happen.
•	Again, changing what is real is not the motive behind affirmations. Pre-existing feelings and emotions follow the same guidelines, and cannot be remade. In contrast, it is the consequence of affirmations to accept and experience these feelings fully, including the negative ones. Eventually, practicing these behaviours will create a new point of view about life and allow one to be more satisfied with his experiences from that point forward.
•	The creation of a belief is another primary function of affirmations. The belief that an experience can be true, or that a reality can be brought to life is the result of this level of satisfaction. One must take a few minutes before each affirmation to postpone any doubts and hesitations and put all possible emotional energy into devotion to the created truth that is about to be affirmed. A noteworthy practice is to start with small but very satisfying aspects of life, so that once they have been accomplished, one can get into the habit of believing his affirmations can and will come to life. Little things like confidence make the difference between success and failure.

Usually, the common factor among meditation enthusiasts is that the lives they lead have become overbearing, out of control, and difficult. Some sort of inner peace is, in reality, all that these people require in order to complete their journey. Meditation can provide a fantastic starting point for those that need the help of a stronger mind to deal with the problems of everyday life. Showing interest and doing research is the first step to accomplishing goal.

A large portion of society wishes for happiness and satisfaction and seeks it through the acquisition of material things such as new video games, electronics, or even large items like homes and automobiles. After a while, these items can begin to lose their appeal and get more expensive all the time. Becoming bored with these items and seeking satisfaction in greater things is usually the first step to the discovery of inner peace. Meditation can bring lasting and true satisfaction, while material things in material things can only bring momentary excitement. The real key to this lasting happiness is in the mind, and the ability to harness and develop this power via meditation can open the doors to the real thing.

The gains that can be garnered from this activity are truly boundless, and will open the mind and body to improvement and progress through calm and positive thinking. Looking at life with a new perspective becomes commonplace and once a subject begins to understand some of the smallest benefits of meditation, he tends to become very interested and motivated to seek some of the more grand results. An example of this phenomenon is the statistic showing that stress-related injuries are becoming more and more commonplace. People are more frequently hurt at work and at home because they are overly exasperated and frustrated by everyday demands. The mind can wander and cause accidents, or even generate psychosomal conditions that result multitudes of health conditions. Stress can even cause conditions such as common colds, chronic fatigue, or the loss of sleep, and the susceptibility to other infectious diseases can be heightened as well. When symptoms such as the above begin to appear, a person should look carefully at his lifestyle, since communication from the body usually comes in the form of pain and anguish. Meditation can help get problems like these under control and bring the body to a state of calm.

Some Meditation Tips

A mentor is an imperative addition to the life on any prospective meditation enthusiast. This person is usually a friend or some sort of support group, or even a professional in the field of self-help. A companions added willpower can be very beneficial when trying to stay motivated and interested during the first steps. When reading and researching, questions that arise can also be entertained and answered by a teacher or more qualified friend. In addition, it is important to remember that changes in the self will not be noticed, since they are largely subconscious at first. Again, the presence of a mentor can help maintain a sense of urgency and motivation when it seems that nothing is happening. Even things that seem trivial like posture and form are very important, and the assistance of a more experienced companion will help the student to correctly execute them, and thereby get the most out of his meditation. This kind of help can ensure that openness to change is the dominant mood, which is one of the keys to a successful journey to inner peace.

Regular and consistent practice with meditation is an important aspect of the productive and fully beneficial schedule. Committing personally to the self and to the practice involves, at least, weekly practice at first. Once the body and mind has gotten more used to the proper use of posture and has gained a measure of peace, moving on and grasping more complicated ideas will bring more valuable success. Slow and gradual growth is, usually, a much more realistic schedule to follow.

One of the most important methods to maximizing the benefits of meditation is the selection of the correct time and place. Sticking to a perfect setting and neve deviating can help promote meditation as a habit and allow a much more comfortable feeling. Secluded, private areas are best for this, as well as quiet and familiar settings. Some of the things that are done during meditation can seem silly or embarrassing to others, and it is therefore easier to reap the complete benefits of meditation when one is alone and uninterrupted bye questioning eyes. A room, such as the bedroom, that only the subject uses is best for this procedure, since it is likely to be a place to which he can return and never worry about occupation by somebody else. In cases where this cannot be worked out, retreating to a corner of the room that is specifically set up for meditative purposes is an effective secondary objective. Dividers such as a screen or large house plants are effective methods of creating a natural feeling of seclusion.

Next to the location, time is the next choice that most noticeably affects the quality of any meditative exercise. Choosing a time during which the chosen location is completely quiet and serene must also be of chief consideration, and an excellent suggestion that works for most is to meditate in the home in the early morning. This helps the mind and body to start the day off with a kind of clean slate and head start at the same time. Clear thoughts and the expulsion of all the negative issues from the previous day can help the mind deal with all the issues to come during the workday. If the home is noisy and the subject is not an early bird, a good backup plan is to meditate at night, just after any other home occupants go to bed. The effect of this kind of meditation is more like a kind of reflection upon the day’s tension, and can provide an excellent release. After a better night’s sleep, the mind and body will be much more apt to deal with the next day’s trials. Of course, both of these times should be used whenever possible.

A worthy goal can continuously energize and motivate a person, but an unworthy goal can easily defeat that same person. First, the questions that should be asked include an inquiry into what is really sought. Whether it is that new car, a better home, or a better job, a well placed question might reveal that what is really needed is to fulfil specific emotions. Emotions can guide, provide direction, and bring about a more satisfying end, when they are heard. In addition, if we take an even deeper look and examine those emotions it will reveal a set of core values. This set of values can provide a baseline for the natural direction of goal setting. Thoughts should occur about which value, if accomplished, will make the greatest change in life. Whether it is Security, beauty, ambition, freedom, balance, or success, a set of values can drive even the most lost in society. Prioritization allows one to take a vague list of goals and aspirations and give them energy and clarity. It is, therefore, of paramount importance that this is done with urgency.

It is important to note that in some cases, Unrealistic Goals are Easier than the Realistic. Timothy Ferris once said, “Having an usually large goal is an adrenaline infusion that provides the endurance to overcome the inevitable trial that goes with any goal.” Life experience, once gained, supports the above. The spiritual power of striving for something that seems impossible can place power in the hands of those that strive to reach them. Setting unrealistic, unimaginable goals, which are worth striving for, makes the process easier, fun and very much realistic.

What is most important, however, is the goal, not the process. This means that no attachment to the goal will spell defeat. If attachment to a goal is found, high expectations will follow. Even if those expectations are unrealistic, a measure of gain can be found every time. What breeds true unhappiness is the failure to meet one’s own expectations, even when the goal is accomplished. There is a difference there– Ones has to enjoy the process of working toward his goal, and as time passes it will manifest naturally.

Most of the time every week must invested working and practicing natural strengths, and let others do what they do best. Most people struggle because they spend their time in occupations that are not tailored for their talents. What they busy themselves with does not come to them as effortlessly as it should. When time is spent time on things that come as effortless talents and natural strengths, even more energy and confidence is built after the fact. These are where the most gains are garnered.
It begins with an attempt to discover one’s natural talents. A list of things that are emphatically enjoyed, generate energy and confidence, and impart a feeling of effortlessness. Afterwards, an opposite list containing those activities that suck energy away and prevent the accomplishment of goals should be drawn. This is another situation in which social contact with a mentor, guru or even a friend can come in handy. Feedback can help make the list clear and concise.

When operating in any situation, be it work or the personal life, the activities that include one’s strengths should be should be at the forefront of activity, and the rest should be delegated to others. Life should be arranged around things that are important and truly loved. Prioritization of every action, every day. When the body is fresh and alert, first thing in the morning, is the best time to act on these talents. When it comes to those activities that siphon energy, learning to say no give these tasks to those who are better is the best idea.

A personality test is engineered to search for these main sources of success in relation to strengths and natural talents. Here is an Example of a personality test I took as part of my MBA Course :

- He is most effective when receives feedback from others who evaluate his proposal.
- He motivates underlings by encouraging them to work towards common objectives, through incentives.
- He takes an out of the box stance and presents ideas that counter to culture.
- Usually can be depended upon to achieve the goals that have been set.
- He enjoys seeing ideas turned into action
- he enjoys discussion peers, and exhibits a high degree of harmony within a team.
- He encourages creativity and innovation, and has an orientation towards the future.
- He appears to be confident and self assured, and is inclined to question traditional.
- Have high regard of people, Effective in social spot light.
- Quickly respond to challenges and may enjoy risks, Unrestrained be rules of social expectations. Potential development needs:
- Not considering all options, insufficient concern of protocol, too trusting, lack a sense of urgency, something of a loner, unnecessary risks.
– Manipulation of ideas and scientific principles. He enjoys applying logical ideas to solve experimental problems.
- Artistic
- Having a wide range of social contacts also means that he could be a good entrepreneur.
– Expression of artistic and creative ideas. Art in the broadest manifestation. – Social
– Activities that involve caring for others, teaching and generally assisting others to achieve their potential.
- His style is to delegate work to subordinates. The process is well organized and needs little supervision or consolation.
– Business situations where he is able to exercise leadership, managerial skills and public acclaim.

The third Step to goal actualization is the art of saving time by learning from other people and their experiences, followed by reflection and growth. There is always another level. First, one must find a guru. A guru is someone who is very skilled in the realm of a particular target goal. It can be a friend or even a willing professional. This includes masters who live nearby or far away. The most important thing here is to find someone who can be consulted and will reciprocate with constant feedback, which will save valuable time. No amount of questions asked is too much. More often than not, people that have made it to the top simply love to help others to succeed on the same path.
Secondly, the sage researches. Resources are out there, in the form of books, audio, blogs, e-books, websites, and even academic courses. However, do not consume everything on the topic. Instead, check online to see find the best resources and only read those that are most effective. An excellent guideline is to buy the top 3-5 books and subscribe only to a few high quality blogs or forums on the topic. When reading and learning things, it will not do to attempt to change too many things at once. It is an ongoing process and will be too difficult to maintain absolute clarity, but results will come if the pupil is committed.
In addition, studies have shown that learning is more effective when the student takes time to write down his thoughts. Expounding upon the information will help to clarify the mass of knowledge that is to be absorbed, as well as providing a backdrop for reflection. The creation of an online blog that is daily updated can also help to share the journey with others who are trusted and can even net some valuable feedback.
This whole process should be followed diligently by analysis to track progress and to ensure that these productive new daily habits stick around for the long haul. Daily tracking will also help to identify any sticky points and promote motivation for the weeks and months to come. A journal or an excel file of the times spent and weekly planner can help progress the quest as well. Top athletes and business people engage in these kinds of behaviours, and so should anyone with a goal in mind.
Finally, learning to reward oneself for small successes simply makes a good week better. Even these kinds of noble pursuits can become dead end cycle, so removal of the self from day-to-day activities is a must. A good massage, a trip to that favourite restaurant, or a weekend away will all suffice. A mind programmed in that way will keep going and fight to the very end to reach a target accomplishment. There is nothing better than the feeling of knowing that the right road stretches ahead.

The second step to goal actualization is strong action. Creatures of habit tend to conduct themselves, almost ninety percent of the time, on automatic pilot. Therefore, strong actions turn quickly into habits when practiced frequently, which creates an upward spiral of reinforcement until it becomes totally natural to be proactive. Creative habits will help to accomplish something related to the primary goal every day. It is imperative that this be practiced each day without fail. If perfect partner is what is sought, for example, something must be done about it every day. Approaching others, reading, and socializing are all acceptable activities. If many changes cannot be handled all at once, changes on a 21 to 30 day cycle can be implemented, followed by moving to the next one. For example, becoming an early riser for the purpose of making time for exercise. If exercise is usually too difficult and the combination of both activities breaks down the commitment, a commitment to wake up early every day is a more acceptable start. Then, after 30 days, the exercise can begin.

There is always an appropriate time to stop thinking. The thinking for the day is done at the beginning, and it should be followed by action. At this stage, thinking can slow or totally inhibit any accomplishment. Being too tired, feeling as though it can’t be done, the perceived need for relaxation, and procrastination, are all of the most common types of negative thinking. The mind is a great tool but it is only a tool. Letting it take control and placing too much trust in one’s thoughts is a pattern of failure. The heart, and passion, and the desires within are the motivators that keep the mind focused. Immersion in the moment, is the key.

Experimentation is the first step to achieving total authenticity. Copying other people in an attempt to be “cool” is paradox. Being cool is being different. For instance, having the courage to try different clothes brings a better understanding of what works. It can be surprising. For instance, for some, wearing hats may feel ridiculous. However, if a great number of compliments came from peers, it becomes natural and comfortable to wear hats. People even begin to associate another’s persona with new habits like this. Being creative can be a part of anything or any behaviour. Speech, what is said, and even the way one carries himself or walks can be unique and valuable. Being the same as someone else sets up a constant comparison and promotes high competition. In other words, if there is more of something around, the price usually goes down.

Independent action also breaks the mould. Being dependent on anyone or anything creates a weakness. The “do it yourself” spirit is another key driving force for progress. When on dependent mode, the feeling of being naked and unable to act follows every attempt at change. This sometimes happens when action is most needed. It can be a favourite clothing style, a favourite place to go out, a favourite friend, and even one’s precious social status. Mediocrity will always be the mode of the day when the chains of dependence hold fast. It is very difficult to be independent, and the world requires the strength to overcome those difficulties if success is ever to be reached.

Finally, interruptions will result in total failure. Other people and even oneself can stick a leg out and trip the most determined traveller. This is a crucial point and sometimes the most tricky one to fix because of the emotional element that comes with it. Silly things, like visiting the same website repeatedly just to pass the time are common interrupters. Checking emails and Facebook, reading unimportant news, watching invaluable television shows, and other classic methods of procrastination are diseases that kill dreams. Other people will also kill it. Some time should be spent considering whose life is intermingled with the goals that have been set. If people are often negative, or suck the momentum out of anything with which they come into contact, they must be cut loose. The sage surrounds himself with those he respects and admires.

The first step to prepare the mind for success is thinking. This simple task reminds us that all reality begins in the mind. The mind is so powerful in that sense, that it can absolutely achieve anything with focus alone. However, in most cases the mind is in control, telling stories using its considerable power to shape our actions. The first step involves reclaiming the power over the mind. Planning, or listing, three things that burn deeply, as chief desires, will help start this process. Coming from a place that anything is possible focusing on the ends and not the means is the superior strategy at this stage. Usually, the things that are to be accomplished are going to be immediately hindered by the mind as it comes up with any reason available to stay within the comfort zone.

Prioritizing from the list of goals that have just been created allows one to think very carefully on what is most the important goal, and thereby achieve with urgency. It must be something that is sorely needed, which will most certainly help to fix other areas of life. This goal is to become the main focus of life for the next month or two. Anything left on the list will be hereafter referred to as secondary goals.

Visualization of the precise end-result is what comes next. Obstacles should not be the focus. Instead, a perfect world situation should be made into a clear picture for review in times of tribulation. Each goal should be written down with a list of three elements that denote the reason for this goal’s acquisition. A promise must be made never to compromise those three elements. If there is a compromise, it will take its toll over the long haul. Time will be lost when it is wasted searching for things that have no gain.

Taking the chance to focus on aversion and imagine how life will look if what is set out to be done is not achieved. Visualization of a young self from a decade ago tends to add a bit of guilt to the situation, which can be constructive. It also helps to think of the self as it will be in twenty years, and what could come to pass with the prospect of victory. The point of this visualization work is to give the body a chance to be treated like a temple. Hard work and less time wasted will result as the core of all motivation. Now is the time to achieve what is ahead.

Finally, committing to a task requires putting a time table in play for all items. Without it, the urgency will never be felt, or needed, for all the changes that are going to happen in life. This is one of the most important elements, which is usually overlooked by others. Urgency is the key to the actualization of the future self.

Most people choose to remain cooped up in a constructed comfort zone for the sake of certainty rather than step out into the unknown, even if it means mediocrity and boredom. Examples are include doing the same things, going to the same places, staying in the same average relationship, and working in the same boring career. A comfort zone is simply a mental boundary created by the mind, governing one’s thoughts and actions. stepping outside the comfort zone causes the subconscious mind to blast signals and thoughts that are clouded with fear. The mind always finds a way to prod and wrangle the body back into a conditioned state, return itself to the comfort zone. Reasons for staying in the comfort zone abound, but, the biggest reason is that it is obviously comfortable. However, it is also safe and easy and comes with no risks. It is hard for those that have been there too long to understand why they should face unnecessary fears and disappointments. This is the wrong way to live. The biggest killer of growth, which ultimately diminishes even the deepest desires and dreams and limits ones full potential lurks in the comfort zone. It will probably not result in physical death, but it will eventually kill the soul and spirit. The opposite of growth is simply death. In business, relationships or personal life, without growth, the only thing that lies ahead is death. The reason that most multi-millionaires never stop and relax, or why entrepreneurs build more companies over and over again, is because they know what will happen when they stop. It is something like hitting the fast forward button on life and skipping all the good parts.

Opportunity is the reason that people must grow, but in order to do that they must get out of the zone of comfort from time to time. In order to do that, a commitment to step up in the physical, social, financial, and mental aspects of life is required. A curious, open mind and the knowledge that humans are an amazing creature will allow one to achieve any of his dreams. If a man is committed enough to step up he can be powerful beyond measure. The second step, simply requires stepping into the unknown and seeking a challenge on a daily basis. Constantly doing different things and embracing change is the real key. Know that the psychological hurdles are just illusions that can easily be conquered once the courage to step into them is found.

The answer is yes. People always have a choice. For those who serve in the army, life and limb depends upon the will to execute whatever the commander orders. That does not leave much room for choices. However, the choice could always be a trip to military prison, which is something that some are willing to do after few unethical operations. The greatest lessons in life are born in these kinds of situations, and for those who have been there, the power to choose becomes too precious to hand over to anyone. Its power is underestimated leaving most to believe that they must operate in certain way in order to follow and fulfil what is expected or even because of some misguided sense of identity.
Some examples include the fact that people do not have to work. Works is a choice, just like doing the dishes. Choices determine where a person lives. Religious and cultural ideals are choices as well. Feelings of happiness or anger, belief in oneself and whether he can or cannot succeed are all fundamental life choices. Small changes in those choices can literally change a life. The decision to believe one can achieve anything he wants, the decision to work on the important task first, the decision purify the body and hold it free from poison, the decision not to have a Television and the decision to choose one’s friends. A change in one’s authentic choices will change his reality to a much better reality, created by his deepest desires. In order to do this, one must be self conscious and pay attention to each minute decision that is made. Every decision counts, and one must be consistent with his choices in order to create a new set of better habits. A more responsible set of habits develop a stronger character, which can attract people and opportunities. Lastly, willpower to say no whenever is needed means true Freedom. One must let go of the desire to please anyone who comes calling. The power of choice, once accepted, means freedom from any rules, restrains, and boundaries. It is time to choose.
