Many of the popular big sports are available – international rugby and cricket; golf, boxing, horse racing and tennis, as well as football. The football books have the widest choice for a gift. There’s a selection of almost 40 teams to choose from, ranging from Aberdeen to Wolverhampton, perfect for a keen supporter. There’s also a Football World Cup edition that includes the fixtures and results for each tournament, as well as the stories.

Inside the book, on the front page, is a personalised label with your gift recipient’s name, along with your greeting. Around this is a montage of famous players from the chosen sport (plus horses on the racing one).

Each of the commemorative sports books comes bound in burgundy-coloured leatherette, with the title embossed in gold on the front. For an additional fee, you can have the recipient’s name embossed in gold too if you wish.

Each book is 38cm x 30cm, about the same size as a tabloid newspaper. They take a little time to prepare, so allow at least two weeks for delivery.

All-in-all, a great keepsake gift for a keen sports fan.

One of the ways they personalise a jigsaw is by using a photo sent to them. If you choose this option, use a photo that has some meaning to the man getting the gift – it could be one of his pet, grandchildren, a favourite scenic spot, a wedding photo, the golf course he plays on… or even his shed or allotment! My favourite is the 70s box, with Curly Wurlies, Drumsticks, Space Dust (what bloke could resist that?) and lots more. You’ll find Flying Saucers, Sweet Tobacco, Golf Ball Bubblegum and tons more in the 60s box. Mighty Imps, Pontefract Cakes and Black Jacks are just a few from the 50s one, while the “I Love the 80s” box has delights such as Caramacs, Wispa bars, Fizzers and Kola Kubes.

Each box contains 13-17 varieties, with several of each type of sweet.
