I have been married once before so I kind of know the dos and donts for a wedding. The main thing I was worried about was my husbands wedding ring. My last husband's ring was not a good purchase. It got all scratched up and thinned out way too fast. This time we weren't about to make the same mistake. We wanted the best and only the best, and that is just what we found. I had heard about cobalt wedding bands, but I didn't know much about them. I wanted to get my sister something really special for her confirmation this year, so I thought some sort of jewelry would be a nice gift. I didn't want to get her something that anyone could have though. I wanted to get her something that was totally unique and her style. I decided to go with a custom jewelry designer. We figured out a design together that I was really excited about. After they made the model and caste it, it looked absolutely beautiful. Watching her face when she opened it made me feel so great. She loved it so much and could not put it on fast enough. She felt really special that I didn't just buy her some jewelry, and I actually went out of my way to create something just for her. I would suggest this to anyone thinking about buying jewelry for someone. It's not hard and you make the other person feel that much more special.

I am all about changing up my look. I love doing fun things with my hair, makeup, outfit, whatever it is. I just found these awesome leather hair wraps, and I have already ordered one too many of them! I love that I can put a pop of color in my hair with out dying my hair. I am already thinking about homecoming! I have already been looking for my perfect homecoming dress! I usually buy long dresses for our formals but this time I really wanted a fun, short dress. I can't get over this dress. My favorite part is that the black fabric is to textured and not just plain. Bows usually go one way or another, so they either look terrible or they look really good and I really think this time it is really good! I can't wait for it to come in the mail! Check out this cool idea for the wedding party. My wife just came across these great t-shirts for our brother's wedding party. My mom especially loved this wedding dress t-shirt with "Mother of the Groom" written across it. We have so many boys in the family and I know she is so proud of all of us. Being a parent I have had my share of Doctor and hospital visits. With little ones there are endless colds that hang on and bumps and bruises that need attending. I don't mind I know this is part of being a parent and my kids always come first. We have a great family Doctor that is as professional and caring as they come. I remember when my wife was carrying our first child and was a little concerned that another man would be seeing her in all her glory. But, when he walked in with his nurse both wearing nice lab coats and smiles, everything I thought was quite the opposite. He was a father figure and such a great guy that was so sincere I felt immediately at ease. He was very patient with me with all my questions and was always just a phone call away if need be. He is now our official guests at our many birthday parties for the kids. I have to say there are really doctors out there these days that don't just do their job for the money.

My mother surprised my entire family with a trip to Hawaii this summer. Any excuse to get over there is her outlook. Her niece, my cousin is getting married, so why not? You know I have always looked back and wondered what if. Hasn't everyone? Come on you know you have that one thing in your life you wish you didn't pass up. For me is was turning down my enlistment after I passed all the requirements. I seriously wanted to be a pilot. A helicopter pilot to be exact. Anyway I dreamt of delivering supplies and carrying soldiers into missions and engaging the enemy if needed. My buddy in high school didn't pass this opportunity up and is now currently working with all sorts of aircraft. He is a brilliant mechanic and has a knack of knowing exactly what aircraft parts & supplies are needed at the drop of a hat. Comes in handy when your out on a recon mission. Always be prepared. Yeah, you can say I'm a bit jealous but, hey at least I get to hear what I missed out on. Stay safe my friend and we will see you when you get home!

I have to brag about my wife who loves to dress up for Halloween or any function that requires her to dress up in costumes. My wife and I attended a wedding over the weekend and you'll never guess the theme they had! It was probably the coolest wedding I have ever been to. The reception was like being in a Las Vegas casino! We had the best time ever gambling and playing cards all night with free drinks to boot! They even had clever personalized wedding favors that were poker cards! How cool is that? Now why didn't we think of this great theme for our wedding reception?

Check this out! I thought this was another cool idea that my wife came up with since we attended that wedding. She is in charge once again to plan a shower for her girlfriend and told me about this. Being her creative self she thought these disposable camera shower favors would be great to set out on each table. Guests could have fun taking pictures of the shower party as it happens. The first person I crossed off my shopping list was my wife. Of course I knew what she wanted six months ago but, that's beside the point. I have over twenty people to buy for. My brother is another story. He is the overachiever of the family. Graduating medical school at the top of his class he has landed his dream job in one of the best hospitals in the state. He deserves to look and feel his best at all times. I must say though, he is in serious need of some new men's lab coats. He may be at the top of his game in his profession but his appearance can be worked on. So, I'm going to hook him up with some new work wear! I hope he appreciates the thought I'm putting into having these lab coats embroidered with his name too! Hopefully he will return the favor when it comes to choosing something for his big brother!
