Okay artists. I've heard the call and I'm bringing back the sessions. :)

The model-artist extraordinaire Kassandra Lynne will be our dark lady with a craving for blood. What's a vampire doing in a bar in North Park? You decide.

PS - I will permit a vampire to sparkle just this once.

Long Pose Costumed Drawing Session [last session for awhile]

So, we're just going to have fun with this session. There will be a ninja, a witch doctor, and a 50's waitress with roller-skates.

You can expect poses with two, maybe three models at a time. But don't worry. You'll have 40 minutes or more to capture these poses.

Calling this a fun session is an understatement. However with a heavy heart, I must inform you that this will be the last session at Planet Rooth Design Haus. I am forced... to go on hiatus until I can find another location where I can keep the sessions fun and cheap.

Bonds of Love, Nude Session - February 6th 2011

Don't Miss This February Session

For the first session of February, I'm hosting a special nude figure drawing class with model(s) tied artistically in shibari-style rope tie. If you don't know what shibari bondage is, google it up. It is a very beautiful style of rope tying. For this unique session, I'm hiring not only model(s) but a professional rigger. Which means a higher fee but also this is a higher grade session. ;)

Also, there will be a Door Prize Raffle for a gift certificate from the Rubber Rose - Sexuality Boutique on Ray Street in North Park.

January 9th 2011 - Call It Out with Sherman

Happy New Year everyone!

The first drawing session of 2011 is coming up soon. This session will be Sherman who filled on a nude session with Zara in November of last year.

I'm going to try something a little different with this session.

Instead of attending artists being such spectators, I want us to be able to interact and have some say in the poses. How do I accomplish that? Simple.

Before each pose, any one of you wonderful artists will call out an emotion or scenario for the model to act out. So, some calls at "Anger!" and the model must strike a pose that equates that emotion. Fun times? I think so. :)

December 19th Costumed Session with Kerry

So we're having one more costumed session this coming Sunday before the year's done.

The beautiful Kerry will be gracing Perspective for a life drawing session with her personal costumed creation. Kerry is a local art model who some of you might have drawn before around town. What you can expect from Kerry is experience and professionalism as an art model who enjoys putting together her own costumes.

She will be wearing a medieval peasant costume that has a ruffled white off the shoulder top with green skirt. Her... hair will be done in that style as well.

And...a costumed session means I can serve drinks :)

Over 3 years experience in college, fine art school, artist groups, and private artist settings

Motion Pose

I'm thinking about incorporating some motion poses in the sessions in the future. They would be just slow movement of the arms or some other body part in repetition. I've heard of it, but never actually seen but I'm willing to try anything once.

And that's what I love about putting on these sessions, I can try just about anything. Expect a Shibari session and a Batman-Harley Quinn session coming soon. Good times. <|3

This will be classical figure drawing with Perspective's first female-male nude session. No costumes, no accessories, just both aspects of the human body turned and stretched. The models for this session will be Steven and Zara. October! Yes! More Halloween themed sessions.

Next up is a ZOMBIE WEDDING. Yes, a zombie wedding. That is a costumed session with undead Bride and Groom with the wonderful Shealyn and her beau Anthony. We've had the pleasure of seeing Shealyn model before. She does a lot of modeling and it shows. Everything she does is artful from her poses to her facial expressions.

Did I mention that her fiance, Anthony, is a profession special ...FX makeup artist? So you can expect some fantastic zombie makeup for this drawing session with plenty of blood and rotting flesh. Who doesn't love zombies? And if it gets cold enough that day, i'll light the fireplace.

So the Day of the Dead session was perfect. The gallery has full lighting now so the lighting will be even better for future sessions.

The next session coming up for this month is a Zombie Bride and hopefully Zombie Groom costumed session. I have to confirm the location but the date is definitely the 24th of October.
